Scarlet’s Pov~
How dare he t©uçh me!
Oh god! He has lost his mind.
I nee-d to get out of here.
This is insane, first Cherry and now him. Both are delusional.
If I stay here for even another minute or so, I swear even I will lose my sanity.
I…I want to go home.
Saying to myself I was running away from Vince. I took a left turn from the hallway, reaching at the end I saw there were two long stairs on each end of the sides, swirling down to a hall.
I quic-kly got down from the stairs.
When I reached almost at the end, I just tried to look back to see if Vince is far away from me or not, but then suddenly I got collided into a wall or rather say someone.
Scary yet mysterious….Deviously handsome man, he seemed to be of the same age as Alexander I guess.
Cold green eyes, dark brown hair set back. He was tall with ha-rd muscled b©dy with an overall look of a model. He looked danger to me and very intimid@t!ng.
He held me firmly so that I won’t fall from the last step on which I am standing right now but he was staring at me intently.
“Help me.” I whispered softly only for him to hear.
Though I don’t know who he is but he looks damn scary to me so he definitely can deal with anyone, even maybe Vince.
“That’s exactly what I am doing right now.” He said in a serious tone but his cold eyes soften a bit while speaking to me.
“What?” I asked confused.
“Scarlet….Scarlet… Sweetheart, you can’t run away from me. There is no way in hell I am loosing you to that as-s-hole. Scarlet.” Vince called out for me and now stood upstairs.
“Who the hell are you? Let go of her.” Vince commanded to the new guy.
“plea-se. Help me.” I clutched onto the suit coat of the new guy with fear and pleaded to him.
“Hey, let go of her. Do you know who I am?” Vince was getting angry by now.
He was descending down the stairs with a pissed off look while the new guy was standing with me very calmly.
“You are the damn heir of your father’s mafia gang. But, do you know what? I don’t care!
Justfu-ck off and I suggest you to stay away from her.”
“You son of a b***h…
How dare you?” Vince roared and pu-ll-ed out a gun and pointed at him. I g@sped.
Suddenly few men carrying guns started surrounding us and were pointing it at us. I froze.
Out of nowhere, men in black suits entered into the hall firing bullets while the other gang of men started doing the same.
I felt like I was in the middle of a war zone.
The new guy was holding me along with him; his b©dy was shielding me from any kind of harm.
Vince started firing bullets across the hall towards us but we dodged it somehow.
Thanks to him, he is guiding me out from there very efficiently. But who is he?
All men were fighting while he pu-ll-ed me out from the hall towards another set of doors. That led to another hall which was larger than the previous one.
It’s the main hall of this house I guess, but right now at every corner or place men are fighting or dropping dead. But this room had no one else except for us.
“Dove…” Hearing the familiar voice I turned around to see him.
“Alexander.” The new guy nodded at him and unclasped his hold on my hand, I immediately ran towards my man.
Alexander was standing with wi-de arms for me and I quic-kly jumped onto him. Like literally.
He embr@ced me in his arms and we both felt relief at the same time. I inhaled his cologne and right away I felt so calm and safe.
This is the only place where I find my solace.
“Alexander…Cherry has hurt Taylor.
Taylor….blood….she was… Vince it’s him. Him and Cherry….” I sobbe-d in his arms while trying to explain to him.
“Shh…It’s alright Dove. I know everything. Taylor is fine. I am here now. It’s ok.
You’re safe with me.” He as-sured me, those were the exact words I wanted to hear right now and I instantly felt safe in his arms.
He was gently ru-bbing my back in circular motion to calm my nerves while he gave a k!sson the t©p of my head.
He cu-mpped my face with both of his hands, his eyes showed a whole of emotions. Hisl-ips c@m£ closer to mine and softly he k!$$£d me. This k!sswas different from the ones he usually gave me.
Those were all possessive, intense and pretty much claiming ones.
But this time it was very soft, it meant- “I love you and I was scared for you.”
He smiled while k!ss!ngme and then he pu-ll-ed away as he looked at me with loving eyes.
“He took you away from me and I am sorry I couldn’t st©p it. But I promise you now, will never let anyone take you away from me no matter what and I will make sure to protect you from harm.”
He k!$$£d me once again with much more emotions and I got a warm feeling inside me.
What good have I done in my past life that I have him as my pres£nt and future? I am thankful to god for this beautiful relationsh!pI have with Alexander.
I will always cherish his love for me and I love him infinitely.
Though before, I was not sure about our relationsh!pbecause we were different, our worlds were different.
He is a billionaire while I am his employee. Yet all these things never mattered to him.
He wanted me, us. He fell in love with me, a simple girl who has no parents, no money and no fame. Made me feel special and cared for me.
My heart beat for him and I feel strong when I am with him.
I love him and I don’t nee-d to have any qualifications to be with him. Listen to your heart and it will guide you to your man.
After our pas-sionate k!sswe hvgged each other. I was still in his arms and he looked up in front.
“Thanks’ James.” Alexander said to the new guy. I moved a bit to see him nodding as a reply.
“You bastard…” Vince c@m£ out raging in anger with the gun held in his hand aiming at Alexander.
“You think you can take her away from me? Hahaha… you wish.” Vince said with a deathly grin on his face.
“Alex…” Ray and Derek c@m£ out of nowhere and stood along with us.
Both of them were relieved to see me.
“Vince. Just put your gun away.” Ray warned him calmly while Derek and James stood in front of us.
Ray, Derek as well as James had pointed a gun at him simultaneously.
Right then Alexander got a call, pu-ll-ed out his cellphone and received the call.
The phone call diverted Vince’s attention that’s when Ray moved forward and pushed him back with f0rç£ while James punched him across his face and twisted his arms.
The gun fell down from his hand and Derek immediately picked it up from the ground. Alexander ended the call and looked at Vince angrily.
“What’s the matter? Who was it?” Derek asked Alexander.
“It was Baxter; she is not there in the basement.”
“What the hell!” Ray muttered while gr-abbing Vince’s shi-t collar and glared at him.
“Where is she?” He asked him but Vince just grinned with a knowing smile.
“Oh so the b***h is now on your side. I am not surprised. See I knew she will ditch me and be with you.” Vince said and smiled.
“What is he talking about? Who is not in the basement? Alex…” I was asking Alexander but Vince called out my name.
“Listen to me Scarlet….He is pla-ying with you. He still loves Cherry and now they are back together… He will hurt you.”
“Don’t listen to him Scarlet.” Ray said sternly.
“He doesn’t know anything and is just babbling nons-en-se.” Derek said.
James was just being vigilant and holding Vince in a ti-ght grip from back.
“You are such a pain in the as-s. Just answer to what they asked you Vince.” James said while putting pressure on his arms which caused him pain.
“Shut the …fuc-k up. You don’t know what it is like losing the one you love. She is all I want and I will do anything to make her mine. I won’t tell you anything.” Vince said while looking at me.
Hearing that Alexander pu-ll-ed me closer to him and said,
“fuc-k off Vince.” Alexander warned him.
“You better start talking or else there are many other ways to make you say it.” Ray said.
“Scarlet I wanted to show my love to you. I never meant to hurt you in anyway.
Let me ask you one thing, if that day when I had k!$$£d you and if Alexander wouldn’t have interrupted…. And If I had proposed you… then…. what would have been your answer? Yes or no? Did you feel anything for me back then?”
Vince asked me expectantly with hopeful eyes.
I closed my eyes, took a de-ep breath and then looked straight into his eyes and replied,
“No. I would have still said a no that day because I never had those kinds of feelings for you.
Vince I considered you as my best friend.”
“Liar… You are lying to me.”
He screamed at me in anger struggling to get out from the ti-ght hold of James and Ray.
“She is lying. I know she loves me. She is not able to see it. Scarlet plea-se, just give us a damn chance.
I promise you, I will give you everything and anything. You will be treated like a princess. I Love…..”
“Enough. You… listen and listen very carefully, she loves me…get that into your thick skull. You are wearing out my patience now. She is alre-ady mine; now get over it you bastard.
And tell me where her Mother is? Or I swear I will make your life a living hell.”
Alexander angrily said while moving near to Vince and gave a ha-rd punch on his face. He winced in pain but he held up his head and looked at me instead.
“I love you Scarlet!” Vince said while looking at me intensely.
But I was shocked with what Alexander asked him.
“My… my…Mother?” I said in a small shocked voice.
