Ace watched as the car sped off
“bit-ch!, Why don’t you wait and let me finish you off” he said, di-pping the gun into his pocket
He walked to where he parked his car and entered the car
“I must fv¢k tonight” he thought and dialled Chloe’s number
She picked almost immediately
“To my house now!, I’ll text the address” he ordered
“O.. o. Ok, I’ll.. I’ll be there” she said in fear
He hanged up and s£nt the address
He drove home and only waited for some minutes before the doorbell rang
He opened the door, revea-ling Chloe, shaking as a result of fear
He dragged her in r0ûghly and sl@pped her
“What the hell took you so long!” He yelled.

He looked at her one more time and drew her close r0ûghly by the n£¢k, claiming herl-ips r0ûghly and tearing off her clothes at the same time

“The bullet has been re-moved and she’s fine, though she lost a lot of blood and she’s currently being transfused with blood, she’s consciousness throu-ghout, even till now, she must be strong” the doctor said at the hospital where Jake took Sandra to
“Yes, she has always been a tough girl” Jake replied
“But how did it happen?, An attack? ” The doctor asked
” I was just on my way to see her in her house when I saw her running in the street with a bleeding arm, and gunsh0t sounds filled the whole area, I had to save her and quic-kly take her here” Jake replied
” That’s bad, what area is that?” He asked
“Gregory, she moved there just last week cos she just found a new job and that street is close to the place of work” Jake replied
” Gregory is a new street, but all the same, she’s fine now, you can go see her” the doctor replied
” Thanks doctor” Jake replied
He went in and Sandra is lying conscious on the be-d
” My Choco” Sandra said, sitting up Immediately he entered
“Hey, careful” he said, guiding her by the sides
“I’m fine, thanks for showing up at that p@rticular time, I dunno what might have happened if you hadn’t” she said
He hvgged her gently
” I’m sorry you had to pas-s throu-gh all that, but do you have anyone in mind?, Do you suspect anyone? ” He asked
She’s about to say no one when she remembered Ace
“Watch out” that’s what he told her the other time when she hit him with a file
But she decided to keep shut first
“No one, maybe a gang of thieves, they might be the ones doing bullet sh0ts when I was pas-sing by, I’ll just make sure not to go out at night again” she said
” Don’t you think we should change your street?” He asked
“I moved there just last week so no, nothing of such will happen again, just trust me dear” Sandra replied
” Sandra what I’m saying is that…
She pe-cked hisl-ips, interrupting his speech
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine” she said
He sighed

Next morning**
Snow woke up on the be-d beside Pinky in the ward, she actually sle-pt there with her mum
Gabriel went home
“Who wants him here anyways?”
She stretched herself before climbing down from the be-d
Her mum never sle-pt, she watched Pinky allover the night
“Mum?, You didn’t sleep?” She said surprisingly
“I just couldn’t, so I watched her instead” she replied, yawning lightly
” Oh mummy” she said, hvgging her shoulders from behind the chair
Pinky’s f!nger moved lightly
“Did you see that?” Evelyn said
“Yes mum…” Snow replied and pressed an alarm as Pinky’s f!ngerscontinued shaking
A doctor rushed in
They excused him by shifting back
He examined her and checked her vitals
Still stable
“Sure, she’s awake” he said , Pinky opened her eyes finally
“Mummy” she said first
Evelyn rushed back to her side with Snow
“My Princess!, You’re finally awake” she said, tearing up as Pinky tried to tilt up but felt pains on her right shoulder
“Ouch!”
“Stay still, it’ll hurt” Snow said
” Big sister” she said, pouting
” That again, silly you, you scared us” Snow replied with a happy smile
” I’m sorry, I just don’t know what happened, immediately I jumped on mum, I felt something shoot into my back and that instant, I thought my life ended”
” No life is ending, here you are with us, I love you princess” Evelyn said, k!ss!ngher forehead
“I love you more mummy”
*Just rest ok?, Relax” Evelyn said
” No mum, I can still go to school” pinky said
” Are you serious right now?, School?, Impossible, what will you write with?, Your teeth?” Snow said

“You want to see Drake?, You miss him?, I know, I’ll tell him to come see you when dad won’t be here” Snow replied
” Drake?” Evelyn said

Snow’s phone rang
It’s Sandra…
“Hey girlfriend” she said, picking up
“Baby I’m hurt” Sandra said
“Hurt?, Where?, How?” Snow said
” I was sh0t last night on my way back from the sto-re, I got sh0t in the arm”
” OMG!, How did it happen!”
” I have no idea too, I’m fine now but I just called to say I won’t be able to come to work today”
” No, you can take all this week off, I’ll come see you, which hospital?”
” I’m alre-ady at home, Jake is taking good care of me” she said
“I trust him”
” I’ll be expecting you”
” Sure dear, take care of yourself” Snow replied and hung up
“Sandra got sh0t” Snow said
” What!, Isn’t that the new staff?” Evelyn said
” Yes, it’s still shocking till now” Snow replied
” Goodness gracious, how did it happen!” Evelyn said
” It was last night, I’ll get the full gist from her when I get to her house”
” Oh God!” Evelyn sighed
” I’m skipping work today, mum Ace trespas-sed yesterday, that bastard gr@bb£d my n£¢k,the bastard my dad wants me to marry” Snow said
” What!, gr@bb£d your n£¢k?, What right does he have” Evelyn replied, standing up
“he’s always a been a bingo, nothing can ever make me look at him” she said
“I wish your dad is here too hear this” Evelyn said
“Well I’m right here, and I’m sure it’s all lies, just to make me hate him and to make your mum hate him more” Gabriel said, coming in

” Oh, so you’re awake, perfect, just get well soon and come back home, I’m off, take care of her” he said and left immediately
” What a useless husband I’ve got, I’m starting to regret the day I met him” Evelyn sighed
” And I’m regretting the day I know him as my dad” Snow said
“I’m not exceptional” Pinky replied
” I’m sorry I couldn’t give you guys a better dad” Evelyn said…

“I’m so sad I have to do this at lunch time, can’t miss Mary just make it an as-signment?, Why make it clas-swork during break just to frustrate us” Riley complained
It’s actually a group clas-swork, given by miss Mary, the English teacher
“St©p complaining honey, just let’s concentrate” Bentley replied
” But I’m hungry” she said
” The more reason why we should be fast so we’ll still have time to eat before the end of lunch” Bentley replied
” I wonder if Drake would have gotten to the hospital right now” Riley Wondered
He actually gave them his clas-swork to do for him while they s£nt their regards with him, he went to the hospital
“He should be there alre-ady” Bentley replied
“Honey”
“Yes?” Bentley replied
” No one is watching, just a k!ss” Riley said
He leaned in and k!$$£d her lightly but she made it de-ep, drawing her closer

She knows it, she just used it as an excuse to talk to him

Drake literally ran into the hospital, seeing her really matters now
It was actually Snow who called that he can come
He entered the pri-vate ward and met her on the be-d
Snow is beside her with Evelyn

“I missed you, how’s the wound?, Does it hurt a lot?, Huh?, Are you ok now?” He asked, rocking her cheeks with his hands

Snow coughed and took her bag
“I nee-d to go home and take my bath, I’ll be right back, allow me to leave you love birds” she said and left
Evelyn stood and left the ward to give them Privacy too
“I love you more Pinky, very much, I couldn’t sleep last night,it was you althrou-gh” he said
” I missed you too, and I’m glad you’re here, it hurts less now that you’re here” she replied
He hvgged her
” plea-se always be safe for me ok?, I thought I was going to die” he said
She broke it and faced him

Snow got home and went upstairs to her room, ignoring her dad who’s sitting in the living room
“Who could have sh0t Sandra?” She thought
She actually br@nched at her place on her way home and Jake is really taking good care of her
She got to her room and took a cold shower before putting on something comfortable
“Can’t believe I haven’t seen my baby today, damn all those lecturers for ma-king them have eight clas-ses without break, how boring, how can a student still be in clas-s by now, those filthy lecturers” she complained, falling on her be-d
She stared at her phone, waiting for Richa-rd ‘s call cos he promised to call when he’s done with his numerous clas-ses
She soon fell asleep…

” Really?, Then I’ll go see her first, I’ll be right back” he said, climbing the stairs
Gabriel smiled before concentrating on the news again
“Good guys are rare to find these days” he said

“Nice catch” he thought
He walked up to her be-d and sat slowly beside her
” Snow White, you’re about to be my lackey, you’ll always listen to what I say from now on” he said, bringing out the n£¢klace
He smiled wickedly before carefully sli-pping it on her n£¢k
Snow felt it and spranged up
He t©uçhed her che-st and she st©pped moving, it made the n£¢klace balance on her che-st
“Now, you’ll listen to no one but me, ok?” He said
Snow nodded like an idiot…
