I thanked her as I collected the food.
I sat down at the stairs and devoured the food like someone who have not eaten for the past one month.
Done with the eating, I thanked her once again and made my way out to nowhere in mind.
I walked around the town until night started approaching, I looked for where to pas-s the night.
I went back to the restaurant and pas-sed the night there.

Mr Patrick’s brother c@m£ to visit his brother and met the wife at the sitting room crying.
At the moment, she saw him, she rushed him and started hitting him.
“You kidnapper! Where is my son? Where did you keep him”
She shouted being so aggressive.

He said trying to calm her down.
She was shouting, hitting him and being so aggressive that she even bite him with her teeths.

He shouted feeling the pains on his hand.
She ran inside the kitchen and collected a pistle and started chasing him.

She shouted as she chased him outside.
The husband heard the commotion and ran outside.
“Hold your wife! I can see that her predic@m£nt has pas-sed something else, she is now mad”
He shouted.
He held her and collected the pistel from her.

She shouted.
“Leave him, let me talk to him”
He said calming her down.
“Take her inside”
He told the cook.
The cook took her inside and Mr Patrick went to meet his brother.
“Patrick your wife has lost it! Her problem is now worst, she is now mad and don’t deserve to be here rather in the psychoan-alytic”

He shouted.

She said still trying to feed the teddy bear.

She said and started crying.
Her cry altered the husband, he c@m£ to the room to know what is happening.
“What Is it my wife?

“Is our son oooo! He don’t want to eat since he c@m£ back I have been begging him to eat but he refused”

Her husband felt so pity for her condition and sat beside her.
“Make him to eat, I have been trying maybe he will listen to you and eat”

I nodded my head in agreement of what she asked.
“Let me help you out in cleaning the restaurant at least it will be a way of rewarding your Madam for the food she gave me”
I said.
She stared at me for a seconds before accepting my offer to help her out.

She said as she opened the main door.
“I hope you won’t mind sweeping the floor?

She brou-ght the broom, I swept the floor, brou-ght out the chairs and arranged them in order.
“So what did you say that happen to you?
She asked as we were tidying up the kitchen.
“I was robbe-d on my way to this town, the thief made way with my money and my belongings and left me with this cloth am wearing, am now stranded, I don’t know how to contact the person am going to his house”
I said washing the plates.
“That’s so bad!
She shouted so pity.
“I don’t know where I will go or what to do anymore”
“Let me see if I can talk to Madam and see if she will employ you so that you can be able to sort things out”
She said.
“Are you sure, she will employ me?
I asked looking at her.
“Our Madam is a good person and am very sure she will help you out”

She said and my heart was filled with so much joy.

I ran inside the kitchen feeling so excited.

“At the restaurant”
“Restaurant! That’s not good, had it been am not sharing a room with three people you could have be slee-ping with us”
She said.
“Don’t worry besides it is just a mean time, once I get pay i will secure an ap@rtment”

“Okay Jerry, welcome to the restaurant”

Few hours later, customers started coming, I was employed as the waiter with another girl while Nk and her friend were the cook.

It has been one month since I started working at the restaurant and I have secured one room ap@rtment, the job has been so faithful to me and am avoiding anything that will make me to loose the job.
One faithful day, I was coming to serve a customer and the way the customer looked at me was so strange.

Nk sat on the chair at the kitchen with her two hands on her jaw, stomping her feets on the ground.

“When I told you that there’s something strange about Jerry but you never believe me rather you said am jealous because you love him”
Her friend sounded.

“Thank God someone from his town expo-se him, you could have be a girlfriend to a ghost, the day I found out I was so shocked”

She bend down to pick it and she was so shocked of what she saw, Jerry’s head was upside down while his legs were up, she shouted and ran out.
“What is it? Why are you running like someone who saw a ghost?
“Nk….. Nk…… I have….. Seen my…… Ears……. Today”
She shouted.
“What happen? What did you see?
She asked.
“Jerry is a ghost!
She shouted.
“What nons-en-se are you saying? Are you okay at all?
“Nk am serious, I just saw it now, no wonder I never like him for the first day”

“Did you talk your drugs this morning because I can see that you have malaria”
She said and walked out.

She shouted and walked out.

She ran out.
Nk sat down on the chair with her two hands on her jaw thinking about the incident that happened.
