I cried at the moment Mom fainted and prayed nothing bad happen to her, Dad and the doctor helped and carried her to the be-d.
“What happen to her Doctor?
Dad asked.
“Nothing that serious, she just fainted, she will be okay”
He said and he gave a call to the nurse.
Few minutes, the nurse c@m£ with some durgs which were admitted to her.
“She will be fine once she wakes up”
The doctor said.
I went closed to Mom and stared at her with a weeping heart.
“Am de-eply sorry Mom, had been I have listened to you, things wouldn’t have turn out like this, how I wish I can turn the back hands of time, I will take your dreams so serious, plea-se forgive me Mom”
I cried out and l@ymy head on her hand.
“The b©dy nee-d to be deposit at the mortuary”
The doctor.
“The mortuary will be in my home town I will like to hire an ambulance that will take him home”
Dad said.
“Okay, there’s no problem on that one”
The doctor said.
I was still lying down on Mom’s hand still she wakes up.
She looked around the environment and asked,
“My husband what are we doing here?
She said trying to stand up.

“Don’t stand okay! How are you feeling right now?
“How did we come to this hospital? We nee-d to start going home before Jerry will come home you know, we plan to throw a welcome home celebr@tion, let’s go and prepare”
Mom sounded.
We were confused of her statement, what happen to her? Could it be she did not remember anything?

Dad asked.

“Okay Doctor, arrange the ambulance for us”

Mom and Dad walked out from the room too, I cried and disappeared.

The ambulance was arranged, they took the b©dy and gave him the direction to the mortuary the b©dy will be.
Mr Patrick and his wife arrived home, the husband started contacting the relatives informing them about the ugly news.
The death of Jerry spre-ad around the town like a virus, his death were on thel-ips of the people’s mouths being the only child of popular rich man in the town.
Relatives, friends were coming for condolence, it was such a terrible and a shocked news for the people to handle.
The mother has been in the kitchen preparing all his son’s favorite dishes.
“I can’t wait to see you Jerry! I have prepared all your favorite dishes”
She sounded with joy as she c@m£ out from the kitchen.
“People have started coming alre-ady when the celebr@tion have not even start”
She said and went to meet them.
“You all are welcome but the celebr@tion have not start infact the celebr@nt have not arrive yet”

“What are you saying to me? My son is not dead, he is coming back today, I just gave him a call and he told me that he is coming”
She said.
At that point, he found out that something is wrong and sighted the brother coming and walked to him.
“What is going on? I mean your wife”

He cleaned his face with his palm and breathed.
“My brother, the death of our son c@m£ as a shocked to us , the doctor said she is traumatized that’s why she still believe that Jerry is alive”
He said.
“That’s so pity! How long will she continue being like this?
He asked feeling so sad.
“I never can tell but the doctor said he will place her on medication which will help her out”

“My husband I have called Jerry and he said he is on his way coming and am done preparing all his food, am so happy I can’t wait to see him”
She went to him and said.
He faked a smile and said,
“That’s good and I can not also wait to see him”
“Why the guests wearing a long faces? Are they not happy that our son is coming home?
She asked.
Mr Edward faked a smile and said,
“Nob©dy is sad our dear wife, we are all over joy to welcome our son who has been away from us for a very long time”
“Okay, be welcoming the guests let me go and sort things out in the kitchen”
She said and walked out.
“I felt for her so much! How will you handle her situation?
“My brother I don’t know, I just have to pl@ylong with her over our son still being alive”
“This will be so diffcult, what will you do during the burial?

“He saw me, am I not dead? How come he was able to see me? Could it be that my spirit is still in the human world or what?
I thought being so confused and keep on going to where I don’t know, following the path to know where it will lead me to.
I can to a sp©t where I met a young girl, she greeted me looking at me so strange and walked pas-sed.
“Why did she looked at me that way? Is she a ghost or what?
I asked.
I looked at myself to know why the strange look on me and I realized that I have a wound on my forehead, my cloth looks so dirty and also walking on ba-refoot.
“No wonder they stared at me that way, what will I do now? I don’t even know where am going or where am i”

I keep on going and at a point I started hearing sounds if cars.
“Wow! Am in the human world!
I shouted.
“But am dead, what am I doing this world? Am supppse to be in the other world, what could be my purpose of being here and also vincible to the people”

People were pas-sing starring at me, some where hawking and others doing their daily businesses.
I thought on how to change my cloth to aviod the strange look on me, the worst p@rt I don’t even know the city am I.
I c@m£ across a laundry shop and at the back of the shop is where clothes are being spre-ad.
I walked slowly looking at my left and right, peeping the entrance of the shop ma-king sure no one will see me and it seem that the person forgot his sli-ppers there so I made way with the sli-ppers, trou-ser and shi-t.
I ran out quic-kly to the bush and got changed, I followed another path to know destination.

Later in the day, people st©pped coming to pay their condolence due to the message Mr Patrick pas-sed on them to st©p coming.
“What is keeping Jerry? He is suppose to be home by now, see the time it is alre-ady getting late and the guests has gone”
She sounded so worried.
“My dear, calm down, Jerry is on his way coming maybe there is traffick on the way”
The husband said.
” I have been calling on him on phone, it is not going throu-gh”
She sounded.
He held her hand and said,
“Its network okay, come and sit and wait for him, he will call back”
He led her to the couch as they sat down.
Hours ago,Mr Patrick has gone out and his wife c@m£ outside the compound sitting on the floor weeping.
“Where is my son? Have you seen Jerry? I have been calling him, he is not picking his call”
She cried out asking the cook.
“Madam plea-se st©p crying and come inside, Jerry is coming”
She sounded trying to get her up.
“Leave me! I want to see my son, Jerry where are you? Your mother is calling you”
She cried out rolling on the floor.
“plea-se Madam, st©p crying, Jerry is on his way coming home, plea-se get up let’s go inside”
She said still trying to get her up.
“That meant be Jerry at the gate”
She shouted at the moment she heard the sound of the gate and ran out immediately shouting Jerry.
“My husband did you see Jerry? I have been calling him, he is not answering and I have looked for him everywhere I did not see him?
She cried.
The husband wiped out her tears and said,
“My dear wife, st©p crying, I have called Jerry and he told me to tell you that he is coming tomorrow”
“Are you sure?
“Am very sure, he will be home tomorrow so st©p crying and let get inside okay”
He said and held her hand.
“Okay! Tomorrow I will see my son”
She said as they went inside.
“It breaks and torns my heart into pieces seeing my wife in this condition, for how long will she be like this?

At midnight, Jerry’s Mom waked up shouting Jerry’s name altering her husband.
“Jerry have come back, he is at the gate”
She shouted and ran out from the room.
“Where are you running to? Come back, Jerry can’t be back by this time”
He shouted and followed her immediately.
“Hold on Jerry, am coming to open the gate”
She shouted and ran to the gate.
“Bia! Gateman, didn’t you hear the knock on the gate? Don’t you know my son is knocking? Open the gate my friend!
She shouted.
“But Oga Madam no one dey knock for gate nah”
“Are you deaf? Can’t you hear the knock, open the gate”
She shouted.
“Oga Madam no one dey for gate”
“Jerry my son wait, this stupid gateman don’t want to open the gate”
She shouted and dragged the key from him and even pushed him on the ground.
She opened the gate and did not see anyb©dy.
She hooked up the gateman and started pushing him.
“Where is my son? Where did you hide my son? Provide my son right now oooo! Unless you will see what I will do to you”
She shouted hitting him on the head with her hand.
“Oga Madam, I know no we-tin you dey talk ooo! I tell you say nob©dy dey for gate nah”
“I said provide my son right now ooo!
She shouted still hitting him.
The husband c@m£ to them,
“My wife what is it? Why are you hitting him?
“This gateman is a kidnapper,I heard our son calling and knocking at the gate and I c@m£ outside to open the gate this stupid gateman refused to open it so when I finally opened the gate I did not see our son, he have kidnapped our son, tell him to provide our son”
She shouted.
“My wife leave him and come to me”
He said as he st©p her from hitting the gateman.
“Go back to your duty post”
He said and gateman ran back to his chair.
“I told you, he have our son, why didn’t you hold him for kidnapping our son?
She shouted.
“My wife, I told you that our son Jerry said he will be coning home tomorrow”
he said.
“But I heard him calling and knocking on the gate that’s why I ran out”
“No dear, nob©dy was knocking at the gate, this is midnight and nob©dy knocks by this time it meant be your imagination”
“Are you sure?
“Yes my love, am very sure, let’s go inside okay”
He said and k!$$£d her on the cheek.
“C’mon no one is there!
He said as the wife was starring at the gate.
“Let’s go”
He held her hand as they went inside.
