“What do you mean by that! I heard you screamed and ran in and you’re acting ru-bbish what for! His mother shouted and he looked at her.
“And I told you I’m fine right? Mama plea-se don’t start now I beg you, Francis said.
“I should not start what! I will start until you tell me what’s going on with you I won’t leave this room, she said standing up with her hands akimbo and Francis heaved.
“Haba! Mama its late o and you should be slee-ping na abi sleep is not doing you?, Francis asked.
“Why should I sleep when you and your sister wants to give me heart attack, tell me how I will sleep? Something is disturbing you and you are not telling me and you’re asking me to sleep, is that how it is done? She asked and Francis ru-bbe-d his face.
“Mama it was only a bad dream…… “Then tell me about it! She shouted.
“Okay okay fine. I saw some kind of figure coming to have se-x with me in the dream. The power was so strong that I tried my best to resist but I couldn’t anyway and I woke up, He said.
“Has this ever happened before? She asked quite calm.
“Uhmm i don’t know, I’m just having confusing memories like its not the first time, he replied.
“Why? She asked and sat down.
“Because… Remember when you saw semen in my bo-xer? It always happened that way every morning i wake up and when I woke up my man-hood was up, he replied and she smiled tou-ching him.
“Is that why you are worried? Or what do you think? She asked.
“I don’t know and that was what i was trying to figure out before you walked in, he replied.
“Francis, maybe its just your emotions… you know you are a big boy with feelings and should have a girlfriend……. ‘Mama I know where you are driving to but i have no such feeling for any girl and I’m not interested, so I don’t un-derstand why I should be having this, he cuts in.
“Okay that is a sign to show that you’re a man common. If your man-hood didn’t stand now or if you don’t semen you’ll be the one to complain so allow it okay, its trying to tell you are a full grown man now that can give me grandchildren soon, She said laughing hitting him and Francis only shook his head.
“Eh I’ve heard, come and go then i want to sleep, he said
“So don’t worry about anything okay, just let it go there’s nothing wrong with you. Don’t even try to say this to anyb©dy o because it sound childish for a guy of your age, she said getting up from his be-d.
“Oh Thank you, bye bye, Francis said and she smiled.
“Goodnight son, she said and left his room.
Francis heaved and stood up to ease himself and settled down to sleep again.
Nkiru got to her room and closed her door behind putting her index f!nger in her mouth,
“What is wrong with this children? And what happened this night? Why did Francis resist me for the very first time? And not only that he is having memories of this not being his first which is not good at all. When he complains this to someone outside it won’t go good because he will start looking for answers like what Maria is doing. No i have to do something now, he has to forget this ever happened, she said and la-id on her be-d straight………..
The next morning Francis left his room to the sitting room and met his mom entering also,
“Mama good morning, he greeted and yawned.
“Morning son, so any bad dreams again? She asked and he looked confused.
“What bad dreams? He asked.
“Eh na you complained of bad dreams this night, she replied.
“Me? Mama abeg I’m just waking up and very hungry. Won’t Maria come back? Francis asked and yawned more.
“Which Maria? Won’t Maria sleep for the all night she attended? She asked and his eyes bulged out.
“I even forgot about it, but I’m so hungry oo i can even swallow a horse, Francis said.
“Start swallowing your brother first, she said with a sm-irk and Francis rolled his eyes.
“Let me go see how he’s faring sef, he said.
“Make sure you don’t swallow him o, i was not there o, his mom said and entered the kitchen while he left to Joe room.
She started laughing in the kitchen happily when she saw Francis totally forgot about what happened last night,
“that means the food i fed him with really worked, it cleared his memory just how i wanted it, she said and the door bell rang.
“Oh the awaiting defeated prayer warrior is back, i nee-d to know how my visitation dealt with her and that idiot of a friend, she said smiling and left to answer the door.
“I’m coming, she shouted when the door bell rang again and she opened up.
“Good morning mama, Maria greeted.
“Morning, why is your face like this? She asked.
“All night, she replied.
“Whatever, she said and Francis c@m£ out.
“Welcome sister, hope you prayed for me? He asked.
“i did, maria replied.
“Are you sure? Her mom asked.
“Hiann i know she did na, Francis replied.
“Don’t mind mama, and i haven’t forgotten, where were you last night? Maria asked.
“Did you look for me? She asked.
“We called countlessly, they replied.
“Well I went for my own tarry night, she replied smiling and got into the kitchen while Maria shook her head.
“Sister go have your rest, looks like mama will prepare breakfast today, Francis said.
“Who? Nkiru shouted inside the kitchen.
“Don’t worry I’m fine and i can manage. I’ll be out soon to prepare breakfast, Maria said and left for her room while Francis heaved and left for his room also.
Maria weakly fell on her be-d staring up as she thought about what happened in Sandra house before she left. Sandra was pressed in her sleep ma-king Maria tarry all night till dawn, and she was seriously weak though she asked her to go home.
Maria took her phone and dialed Sandra number and after 2 rings she picked up,
“Babe, Sandra said with a dull voice.
“How are you feeling now? Did you take the locozade again? Maria asked.
“I told you not to worry right? My husband just returned and I’ll be fine okay, Sandra replied.
“How can i not be worried? I feel I’m related to what happened to you last night and i cant help but worry. First it was the pastor now its you, now i know I’m the demon and I’m scared, Maria said.
“What demon? St©p it babe just st©p it. Whoever is fighting you is fighting a lose battle now I’m involved so don’t worry okay, and don’t tell this to anyb©dy is that un-derstood? You may not know who is behind this so keep all that happened last night to yourself alone, Sandra said.
“Okay okay, i just got home though, Maria said.
“Its alright, have your rest then, talk to you later, Sandra said.
“You too plea-se, Maria said and dropped the call and a knock c@m£ on her door.
“Come in, Maria said getting up and her mom walked in.
“Why are you looking so distressed? Its written all over you, She asked sitting down and Maria heaved taking her clothes off to have a shower.
“Mama it was only tiring. You know its a new church and my b©dy is not familiar to most of their activities there but it was okay, Maria replied taking her towel.
“Is that so? so any prophesy? I’m sure that’s what you left to hear ba? She asked and Maria looked at her and scoffed.
“Mama You know i am not a fan of that, Maria replied.
“Then what else took you there without informing anyb©dy in the first place? She asked.
“Mama i was invited by my colleague and i couldn’t say no to her, i decided to follow her na, Maria replied.
“I see, and that’s Sandra abi? She asked.
“Exactly, Maria replied.
“How is she sef? Its been long i saw her, she asked.
“Mama she’s very fine and she s£nds her greeting. I want to shower o, Maria said.
“Okay o, come out fast and prepare breakfast, your brothers are hungry, She said leaving.
“hmmm okay, Maria said and watched her closed her door before entering the bathroom…….

In the kitchen clearing the dishes after eating, Maria phone began to ring.
She tiredly yawned and took it but saw it was Sandra,
“Hey babe how are you? She anxiously asked.
“Relax I’m good. You’re at home right? Sandra asked.
“Yes yes, Maria replied.
“Okay, see what you’ll do for me, can you meet me at home now? Sandra asked.
“Sure why not, Maria replied.
“Okay I’ll be waiting then, Sandra said and dropped the call and Maria hurried up with the washing and cleaning and Nkiru walked in.
“Going somewhere? She asked.
“Yes mama but this time I’ll be back, I promise i won’t stay long, Maria replied taking her phone to leave.
“Hey hey hey what’s wrong with you and where are you going to? You’ve not even sle-pt for the tarry night you attended and you’re going out again. Do you want to break down or what? Nkiru asked.
“Mama I just want to pick up something for the office I’ll be back, haba! Maria said and left the kitchen while Nkiru stood wondering where she’s going to then left for her room.
She saw as Maria hurried out with a simple dress, got into her car and drove off while she watched her throu-gh the window.
She smiled and sat down in her mirror and a knock c@m£ on her door,
“Who is it? She angrily asked.
“Mama its me, Francis voice was heard outside and she sluggishly stood up and opened up.
“This one you are in my room today i hope there’s no problem? Nkiru asked.
“Mama i want to discuss something with you, Francis replied and sat down where her dressing mirror is and she heaved sitting on her be-d looking at him.
“Oya I’m listening, she said.
“Mama I’ve been thinking, I want to start a business, i can’t continue like this. I’ll be 31 soon with no achievement……. “Says who? Having a first clas-s is no achievement huh? She cuts in.
“1st clas-s with no evidence for 6 good years of graduation What’s the point? I nee-d to do something better for my self, Francis said.
“Okay fine, what kind of business? She asked and he scratched his head then she smiled.
“Francis I’ve always known you to be an office person and never a business person. Will you cope? She asked.
‘Mama i have no choice and I’ll put myself into it. I see s-en-se in what my friends told me when they visited, He replied.
“oh I see, so its all about your friends huh? You’re competing with them ba? She asked.
“No mama! Look mama i nee-d money, if you can lend me some amount i promise to put my best into it and pay you back, Francis said and she laughed.
“Is that it? She asked.
“Mama i am very serious, he said.
“No problem. So what kind of business do you have in mind? She asked.
“I thought of………. “You know what, when you’ve decide on the business you want and the cost or capital whatever, just let me know, she cuts in.
“Really mom? Francis asked.
“Yes only take your time and make a good choice, she said.
“Mommy I’ve alre-ady decided, and i want it in the agricultural sector and with my knowledge in school and my field, I’ll go in for poultry. Big time one where there will be large production of eggs, chickens and the rest of it, Francis said.
“Hummm that’s hvge, like big money, Nkiru said.
“Yea i know, Francis said.
“And you nee-d a land? No problem, ill give you one of my lands so you’ll use as a site, then I’ll help you with 4 million Naira, that should boost you up, she said and Francis eyes bulged out.
“You’re joking right? Tell me you’re joking? Francis asked leaving where he sat and she laughed.
“I’m very serious trust me, she replied and he screamed carrying her.
“Thank you mommy thank you so much, you’re the best, he said throwing k!sses at her while she laughed.
“I love you son and i want the best for you don’t forget that, she said hvgging him.
“And i love love love you too, Francis said.
“Alright gather every information you nee-d okay while i arrange for the money and the land re-ady for you, Nkiru said.
“God bless you mom and i will never forget this never! He shouted.
“Go have your rest okay, She said smiling and he left her room happily………….
Maria got to Sandra place and saw her lying on the sofa with her head on her husband l@ps.
“Good morning sir, Maria greeted her husband and the strange man she saw in the sitting room.
“Welcome, they replied showing her a seat and she sat down.
“How are you? maria asked her friend but she only smiled.
“I’m fine darling, Sandra replied sitting up.
“So sir this is my friend and colleague Maria, she spent the night with me, Maria introduced her to the strange man while Maria gave a smile not knowing what’s going on.
“Nice to see you Maria, the man said.
“thank you sir, Maria said.
“Dear, he is my husband pastor. My husband quic-kly called him when he arrived so I decided to call you here too if you don’t mind, Sandra said to Maria and she nervously nodded scared of everything.
“Why are you scared my daughter? The man asked Maria.
“I’m i? Maria asked.
“Its all over you, but you’re not the problem. You’re so innocent, but someone close to you is the reason of your problems and until that person is re-moved your answers cant be answered, the man said and Maria sat up.
“Who plea-se? She asked and the man shook His head bowing his head.
“Daniel prayed consistently until the king of Persia made way for his answers, so I’m asking you Maria, are you re-ady for this battle? He asked and she nodded.
“I am re-ady plea-se, I’m begging you sir help me out. I feel so scared and strange like I’m not alone, she replied.
“That was instilled in you yesterday to weaken you the more, but I’m charging you Maria to wake up and fight. No one will fight this for you, we can only help. If God will use you to liberate your siblings, so be it but it all depends on you. Dear, you have a hvge responsibility, the pastor said and Maria went on her knees in tears.
“Pastor i am re-ady to do what it takes, just tell me what to do, take me to wherever you want, i don’t nee-d this anymore. plea-se help me and my siblings. Sandra help me beg na, Maria turned to her friend but Sandra helped her up and hvgged her.
“Everything will be fine honey, he will surely help, and it will be over soon, Sandra said as Maria cried on her
“Cry no more dear, God himself is interested in your case but i should be very sincere to warn you it wont be easy and you will receive many shocks of your life. But remain focus and prayerful, with God on your side you’ll surely come out strong, you and your siblings. Let’s pray, the pastor said holding hands with her……..
