Episode 7.
While the women were discussing, Maria had a call from her friend in the office who asked to see her.
Reaching there Maria met her friend just slee-ping on the sofa and she knocked on the door after stepping in alre-ady.
“Hey babe, what’s up, Sandra said getting up cleaning her eyes and Maria closed the door and sat down.
“Hey lazy woman why slee-ping? Maria asked.
“Lazy kwa, why did you miss work today? Sandra asked.
“Abeg I just nee-d my rest, Maria replied.
“Are you sure? Sandra asked looking at her and Maria heaved.
“Babe what do you want me to do? I’m just so confused, so i thought its best i stay at home than carry my confused self to the office, Maria replied and Sandra sighed.
“Have you two talked after that? Sandra asked.
“he has blocked my line and I’ve decided to let him be, not like its my first breakup so i should be used to it, Maria replied.
“I tried talking to him today but he said nothing tangible. I don’t know babe but can you follow me to church today? Its an all night we have and its always very powerful, Sandra said and Maria smiled.
“Sandy I go to church o, and I’m an usher very active one. If you think its a spiritual something God would have helped me out ever since, its just that I’m not always lucky when it comes to men, Maria said.
“Your church that witches can go there and dance anyhow they want and leave without disgraced. Don’t you know where there is no revelation the people perish? Sandra asked.
“Oh because my church is not the one who calls parents witches up and down right? Maria asked.
“Is it only witches they only reveal? Sandra asked.
” You know what, I’m okay with my church at least we are not breaking homes and separating children from parents with all this witches and prophecy ru-bbish, Maria replied.
“You think so? Dear you’re ignorant, Sandra said.
“I’m not gullible. Why is it only poor struggling mothers and fathers that are tagged witches and wizard, but rich parents are called chiefs and saints? Maria asked and she heaved.
“Is still not what you think. I know there are black sheep in the b©dy of Christ doing havoc, but girl you nee-d to know where the problem is. You may not know who is behind this so let’s find out babe abeg, Sandra said and Maria looked at her and scoffed.
“I didn’t sleep today o and I never planned for this, Maria said with a frown.
“Me too na, we can have our rest together, Sandra said.
“Your children that will be back soon to start dragging my ears, Maria said and Sandra laughed.
“They are with my mom o, they wont be coming back and hubby traveled yesterday, Sandra said and Maria rolled her eyes looking for an excuse.
“I know those your tricks, come let’s sleep joor, Sandra said hitting her and Maria laughed.
“Okay okay, but is my dressing okay? Maria asked.
“Yes na, As if you knew you wore go-wn, the spirit is leading na, Sandra replied getting up for her and Maria shook her head.
“My mom is not aware sha and she will frown about this, Maria said and settled on the couch were Sandra was.
“Make momsy free you o, you’re going to church short and simple. Oya sleep let me go get something to eat, Sandra said and left……….
That evening Francis friends left to take their rest and his mom c@m£ down again to see Francis left alone with Joe who sle-pt on the sofa,
“Is Maria not back yet? She asked.
“No, Francis replied.
“Where did you say she went to again? She’s not picking her calls, she said and Francis heaved.
“Mama, Maria is a big lady o you can’t be all over her like this always na. She went to her friend place and she will be back haba you worry too much, Francis rudely said and her face changed.
The glare from her eyes on him made Francis shock and weak, then she walked away saying nothing to him.
Francis blinked his eyes not believing what just happened in a twi-nkle of an eye. He couldn’t un-derstand his b©dy and he was so confused,
“Was that mama? He asked himself and Joe woke up and began to cough.
‘What! He shouted on him.
“Water, Joe weakly replied and Francis sluggishly stood up to get him water.
He saw his mom with a very serious and angry mood still trying Maria number and she picked up,
“Mama….. “Don’t mama me! Where the hell are you? Or don’t you know there is no dinner? She shouted.
“But mama there’s food in the freezer, Francis can get something there, heat it up for you as dinner, Maria said.
“Yen yen yen yen yen! You should be ashamed of yourself. The husband you are crying to marry is this how you will take care of him huh? She shouted.
“Mama i don’t like this, Maria said.
“Shut up there! She shouted.
“You know what mama, you’ve gone far this time, bye, Maria said and angrily dropped the call.
“Maria! Maria! She screamed out.
“Hey this girl you don’t know me o, she said and Francis slowly left where he stood peeping back to the sitting room but still found Joe coughing. He quic-kly remembered what he wanted bringing,
“Ohhhhh! He shouted and left to get the water but met his mother coming out with the most angry face ever and left the house.
He got Joe the water and quic-kly called Maria who ignored twice and picked up,
“Sister, Francis called out.
‘Yes, is it your turn now? Maria asked.
“Sister you know I’m not like that, where are you now? Mama is very angry and she even left the house just now, Francis said.
“Let her be for all i care! In fact I’m not coming home today, I’m going for a church all night so let her do her worst, Maria said.
“You should have told her na, you know how she worries a lot and you were not picking your calls, Francis said.
“My phone was on silence and i was slee-ping. How will i hear the phone ringing if not i woke up to ease myself and met it just in time. She didn’t even give me the chance to explain and she began ranting like I’m a kid, oh plea-se! Maria angrily blurred out.
“Easy Maria, Sandra said tou-ching her.
“Take it easy sister, i heard everything and its annoying. But just forget about it, and don’t forget to Pray for me okay, Francis said.
“Alright and plea-se help me give Joe his drugs okay, but make sure he eats first, Maria said.
“Seriously? I’m i now Joe baby sitter? Francis asked.
“For once in your life Francis, show Joe this little love, bye, she replied and dropped the call.
“Ahhhhhh i wish i have somewhere to go, Francis said and left to see what’s in the freezer for dinner……..
Maria left with Sandra to the church, and her phone began to ring.
“Its Francis, what does he want to say? Maria told Sandra.
“You can go out to pick it, maybe he has a message for you, Sandra said and Maria left and called up Francis.
“Is mama still asking about me? She asked when he picked up.
“Mama has not returned ever since she left and she is not picking her calls either. I don’t know what’s wrong with that woman o, Francis replied.
“And its past 10 alre-ady, where did she go to? Maria worriedly asked and dropped the call. She dialled her mom line but it was switched off.
“Ahh mama don’t do this na plea-se, I’m sorry if i offended you plea-se return home I’m in the church. I’ll be home tomorrow morning, Maria said as she texted her mom and called back Francis.
“When mama returns let me know okay, She said.
“Okay sister, Francis said and she dropped the call and slowly returned to the church……….

Episode 8.

“Hey what happened? Sandra asked when she saw the look on Maria face.
“Mama isn’t back yet and she’s not picking her calls, what does that tell you? I’m so worried, Maria replied.
“Has she ever done something like that? Sandra asked.
“No, I don’t think so, Maria replied.
“Its okay, probably she’s in her friend place to chill away, or don’t you have any of her friends numbers? Sandra asked.
“Nah why should I? I think she will be in her best friend place but she has never stayed this late that’s where I’m worried, Maria replied.
“Babe she’s fine, don’t lose concentration in this important hour okay, Sandra said tou-ching her and prayers session began.
Few minutes of praying nonst©p Maria was alre-ady seated tiredly with her eyes closed,
“Call that lady sitting down for me, Maria heard but she wasn’t interested thinking she’s not the only own that is sitting.
“Call her, the voice said and Sandra tapped Maria which she opened her eyes.
“Come, the man said and she stood up and approached him.
“Where’s your husband? He asked.
“I’m not married, she replied.
“Where are your kids? He asked.
“I’m not married nau, Maria replied quite irritated with the questions but she noticed the man was staring at something.
For minutes he didn’t say anything that the prayer warriors had to take him away to his office when it was too obvious.
Confusion took place in the church as people mumbled and looked at Maria as one evil spirit which Sandra was confused herself.
“What just happened there? Maria asked her.
“How I’m i suppose to know? Has this happened before? Maria asked back.
“Hell no, there’s something wrong, Sandra said.
“With me? Maria asked.
“No i don’t mean that, Sandra replied and the prayer warriors returned and began putting the church in prayers against evil spirits.
All f!ngerswere on Maria as they directed the prayers to her screaming FIRE on her head and Maria weakly looked at Sandra who was disappointed herself.
“Let’s get out of here, Sandra said taking her away, got into her car and drove off home.
They got in and Maria couldn’t help pacing around with a lot of things on her mind while Sandra sat looking at her.
“Would you mind to share? Sandra gently asked.
“What’s wrong with me? Did you see the embarras-sment i just got back there? Maria asked with tears streaming down her face and Sandra stood up holding her.
“I’m sorry i caused this, but this has never happened before and i don’t know what to say. Only the pastor can tell what happened to him, Sandra said.
“Why did it have to be me! Why was the fire on me like i am some kind of strong demon who just made their pastor weak during service? Why me! Maria shouted crying.
“Ssshhh babe plea-se don’t do this, I’ll go back there and they will explain to me why they have to embarras-s you the way they did. Its okay babe, Sandra said hvgging her and Maria phone began to ring.
“Francis is calling, Sandra said taking the phone for her and she tried putting herself in order before picking the call.
“Is mama back? Maria asked.
“She just walked in, Francis replied.
“Oh thank God, but is she okay? Maria asked.
“Yes she is, and even more lively than when she left, he replied.
“You mean? Maria asked.
“She looks very happy and no longer angry, she’s even eating as we speak, Francis said.
“So can i call her now? Maria asked.
“Uhmm I don’t know but you can try, He replied.
“Okay, she said and dropped the call.
“She’s back? Sandra asked checking the time.
“At almost 1a.m, where could she had gone to? Maria asked back dialing her number and she picked up.
“Shouldn’t you be praying by now? Why still troubling me? Her mother asked immediately she picked up.
“Mama i was worried nau, Maria said.
“So you can be worried too? You shouldn’t have na let us all mind our business, She said.
“Not like that na, and at this late hour? where did you go to sef? Maria asked.
“And what do you care? And why I’m i not hearing sounds like you’re in the church premises? She asked.
“I’m at a distance so i can call you, Maria replied.
“Go back to church jare and pray for me o, she said.
“Okay mama I’ll be home tomorrow, Maria said.
“Tomorrow or today? She asked.
“Oh this morning, good night, Maria said smiling.
“Goodnight, she said and dropped the call and Maria heaved and sat down.
“Still worried? Sandra asked her.
“I’m feeling weird. The face of the pastor was questionable, i could feel a pres£nce there, Maria replied and Sandra quic-kly sat down beside her.
“Are you serious? She asked.
“I mean what could suddenly make a man go dumb after he prophesied to 2 women before calling me? He was looking at something, something was just close by, Maria replied.
“Now you’re ma-king me scared, Sandra said.
“I’m sorry, Maria said.
“If so then you have to be prayerful, now you believe me when i said something might be wrong somewhere, Sandra said.
“But i prayed there, people prayed, the place was h0t vibr@ting with prayers, then why did it still happen? Or is there no power in the church anymore? If the pastor was turned mute despite he’s powerful, is it me? Whatever that is wrong with me, why me? What wrong did i do? Maria asked.
“Look. Babe i think we should sleep now, then in the morning we will talk about this properly. Its night and not a good time to talk about issues like this. You know its just the two of us in this house abeg, Sandra said.
“Are you scared of me? Maria asked.
“No babe I’m not cmon, I love you okay and i want to see you out of this mess. I promise to do all i can to help you out, but for now lets go to be-d, Sandra replied.
“Alright and thank you, Maria said but Sandra smiled lifting her up…….
That night while Francis was waiting for his mom return, on the internet a preacher caught his attention, and he saw himself glued to his message till it was over and even connected himself to the short prayers that was done by the preacher.
He tiredly went to be-d after clearing the dishes His mom used. There he felt a strong f0rç£ on him and he struggled to be freed. He fearfully woke up and switched on the lights to see his man-hood up and an unusual feeling in his b©dy.
“What’s this? He asked himself as he sat up thinking about it and wondered why he keeps re-leasing semens.
A knock c@m£ on his door and his mom rushed in,
“What happened? She asked.
“What happened what? Francis asked confused.
“You were screaming na, she replied.
“Was i? It was only a bad dream but I’m fine, he said cleaning His face and she went near to t©uçh him.
“You’re sweaty despite the AC on, she said.
“Mama plea-se let me be I’m fine, he said taking her hands off his b©dy……….
