EPISODE 73
The old man punched the table when Rio left him dumbfounded.
Damn that man! Who he think he is to threaten him that way? He clenched his teeth in distraught.
Earlier, he pointed the gun on him but a red laser light traveled from Rio to his and he didn’t know how that became possible!
The man in the white coat smirk-ed mockingly.
“Did you really think I have come unprepared?” He scoffed. ” Zoren, I got you more than you got me. He can pull the trigger with just one cue and no one will be able to save you from death. But I am giving you the chance to think over my proposal. Not because I want peace but because of the mere fact that your money had once saved my daughter.”
Zoren’s li-ps twitched in annoyance. If only he knew that this day will ever come, then he shouldn’t had allowed those couples to borrow money from him. Damn that Clement! He cursed.
“I am giving you until tomorrow. If I don’t receive your message within the day then I would take that as your response that you have decided wage a war against me.” With that being said and done, Rio strides towards the door.
Meanwhile, Zoren had been pressing the alarm on under his table, however, he is not receiving any response. Even Kami who was outside the door isn’t responding at all. Is the alarm on not working properly?
But for Rio, before he totally opens the door, he spun around to give him one final message.
“By the way, don’t bother pressing the alarm on cause your security system has been hacked.” He twitched his li-ps teasingly before he exited the room.
Damn! Zoren banged the chair that he was holding as soon as the man left.
” Is there anyone following me silently?” Rio asked Caleb using the earpiece.
“I don’t think so. Hunter was able to block all their communication server therefore, his men hadn’t receive any signal from him.” Caleb responded while still looking at the old man.
“How about the old man?”
“He is not moving at all.”
“Good. I am on my way out now.”
“The car is ready.” Hunter notified the man.
The gatekeepers had been looking around vigilantly for any suspicious person that may have been lu-rking around. But when they saw Rio, they had opened the gate for him to exit.
As soon as Rio exited the gate, he saw the white van with Hunter as the driver so he immediately got inside. After making sure that the man is safe, Hunter drove off and messaged Caleb.
“We’re out already. I’m coming to get you.”.
“Okay!” Caleb leered and withdrawn from where he is. He fixed his weapon and run towards the elevator after wearing the janitor suite that he wore when he went up the roof.
After a few minutes, the van appeared in front of him and so he went to seat on the pa-ssenger seat.
“Alright! Great job!” He and Hunter made a fist bump then chuckled after.
“So what’s next?” Caleb faced Rio who was busy reading a business magazine on the back seat.
“Let’s just wait for his response tomorrow.” The man nonchalantly replied.
“And if he didn’t?” Caleb continued.
“Then let’s give him a taste of his own medicine.” He smirk-ed.
There! That’s their chief head! And his back now. Both the young men grinned after looking at each other.
Oh, how they have forgotten how it feels like to have this familiar trill that they once had enjoyed before.
“Where are we going now?” Hunter asked.
Rio suddenly went in silence as if he was thinking carefully. Then he smiled after.
“Let’s visit her after securing the weapons first.” He smiled at the thought of seeing her daughter and grand daughter.
“Okay!” The two exclaimed in unison.
Meanwhile, at Zoren’s residence, a man suddenly showed up after observing the upset man.
“So what’s your plan now? Are you going to succu-mb to that man’s appeal? Will you just surrender to his proposal? just like that?” He raised his brow while his right hand was on his pocket.
The old man is in daze, thinking carefully.
“Do you really have to think about it?” Clement got upset. “Are you that scared of that man?”
“You don’t even know who that man is and you don’t have any idea as to what he can do.”
“What else could he do that you can’t do?” Clement spiraled. “Is he a god?”
The old man suddenly jerked upon hearing Clement’s words. Yeah, his right.. What can that man do that he couldn’t do. And certainly, he is not a god!”
Clement suddenly smirk-ed within him when he saw how the old man responded on his words. That means he is getting into his head.
However, the old man suddenly spun around to face him. He was wearing a despiteful face.
“Why didn’t you tell me about her?” He started. “You knew who she really was yet you have kept the truth from me….all these time.”
“Because I didn’t think it was that important. I had made sure that she won’t be able to remember her past any longer, so there is no reason for me to tell you either.” But he scowled after. “But that man showed up and all my plans are now ruined!”
“Still, you should have told me the truth! If I knew it earlier then I should have done what’s necessary! You brou-ght this doom upon your own self and you even pulled me into this mess!” He yelled at the young man.
If Zoren only knew that Alex was the great hunter’s daughter then he might have taken her instead and kept her, trained her and send her abroad to watch over his other businesses.
Nevertheless, his eyes shone when an idea struck him.
“What are you thinking now?” Clement asked when he saw how he lit up.
“Well, I will concede…” He smirk-ed evilly.
“What?! Are you—-”
“I won’t pursue that woman anymore, but I think her daughter is more likely to be successful than her. Anyway, that little girl is a mixed blood.” Then he chuckled frantically.
Clement also thought for a little while. Seems like his plan is reasonable. If he can’t have the woman and her child, might as well take the only person whom she’s been trying protect for the longest time. He smirk-ed.
“Then let’s do that. I will definitely help you with your plan.” Clement sneered. He will just destroy their lives since they have destroyed his.
“This is war.” The old man smirk-ed.

“Mom, I thought you’re going to surprise dad today? Aren’t you going?” Jane asked the woman who was unpacking the luggage.
“I was about to but Rio told me to watch over Lisa for the meantime since Hunter and Caleb went to Estrella City and they will be staying there for a few more days.”
“Oh, is that so? But Ethan is also there, right? Do you think something is happening out there? Looks like there is a big fight.” Jane curiously muttered.
” I don’t know either. But seems like it, since your dad wouldn’t call those two without a reason.” Cherry suddenly went into daze. What important thing could that be? She thought.
“Mom, are you alright?” Jane tapped the woman’s shoulder.
She jolted.
“Ehm, I’m fine. I am just a little worried.” She voiced.
“You should not. Besides, it’s daddy… Plus Ethan and the two? It’s a hell of a team!” The young lady exclaimed.
Ah, she’s right. She shouldn’t worry too much. Then she smiled after.
“Yeah, you are right. I shouldn’t be worrying. For now, let’s shop today, I still don’t have something to give Ethan on his birthday… How about you?” She asked the young lady.
“Me too. I am actually having a ha-rd time picking up something special for him this past few days.” The young lady blus-hed unknowingly.
“Just give him something that came from your heart. He won’t reject it anyway.”
“Ehm!” Jane suddenly lit up and therefore, she stood up and excitedly went to her room.
“I’ll just change my dress mom!”
“Oh, okay.” She smiled.
As soon as her daughter left, the woman suddenly frowned. What will she do? Would she be able to tell Jane to stop whatever feeling she has for Ethan before it will get more complicated? They were never meant to be together in the first place!
She heaved a sigh.

*The next day*
“I concede.”
It was a message they have receive from the old man Zoren.
Rio, Caleb and Hunter was about to take their meal when they received a message from the old man.
“I decided to quit. I give up. I won’t chase your daughter any longer. I won’t risk setting up a fire for that petty reason. However, I want my full money back with the interest on it.”
Rio raised his brow unbelievingly. Is this for real? He was in de-ep thought as well as the two young men.
“Do you think he’s telling the truth?” Hunter inquired.
“Maybe?” Caleb uttered while munching a piece of meat.
“Isn’t it too early to tell?” Hunter continued. “A man like Zoren wouldn’t relent that easily. What if he is planning something?”
“Maybe…” Caleb replied. “But why will he dare to go against the mighty Rio?” Then he chuckled jokingly.
However, Caleb stopped when he noticed that Rio had been silent for a few minutes now.
“Uncle, what’s the problem?” He asked.
“Something isn’t right.” Rio muttered. “But I couldn’t figure out what that is.” He was worried.
“Then we can just observe him for a week. Then and there we can conclude if he is really planning something.” Caleb added.
“Yes, that’s better. I should talk to Ethan about this then.” Rio was about to stand up when he heard the two stood up as well. He was a little surprise.
“We want to come.” They exclaimed in unison then for-ced a smile after. “We want to see her too.”
Rio smiled at them. “Just behave, okay?”
“Yes!” They exclaimed and dashed outside the house.
At the moment, Ethan needs to be in a meeting so he left Aisha and Mira at home, ordering his men to vigilantly watch over the two wherever they go.
“It’s okay, we won’t go anywhere without you.” Aisha smiled sweetly.
Ethan’s heart skipped a beat. This kind of Aisha’s sweet side…. He misses it a lot. Therefore, he inch closer and ki-ssed the woman on the li-ps.
“I’ll be back as soon as I can.” He whispered..
The woman suddenly blus-hed. This kind of routine, they look like a real married couple. How nice. She thought.
“Bye daddy!” They both heard a tiny voice.
“See you later too, sweetheart.” Then Ethan ki-ssed the little girl’s forehead. She beamed cheerfully.
With a heavy security, Ethan left for work. He also needs to foresee his company after all.
Master Omni has to go back to Central State since he only left Eli to the Mikasa, but since Rio and the two guys came to Estrella, now he needed to go back to watch over the few people left out there.
Anyway, what could an old man do to help the young ones? Might as well look for their families instead of doing nothing while waiting for the result.
The old man can leave all the works to them since he is confident that they will be able to deal with the problem better than anyone else. Rio, Ethan, Caleb and Hunter… He had seen what they can do to protect their love ones… For sure they can do anything to regain someone whom they taught they’ve lost a few years ago.
It’s okay since they are with the king. ^_^
Master Omni had already reached his mansion in Central City and was about to take a rest when Rio called to inform him about the result.
“Yeah, And I am on my way to Ethan right now to talk to him about it.” Rio explained the details.
“It was sooner than what we have expected… But still, be careful out there. We never knew what tricks he has under his sleeves yet.” The old man replied.
“Yeah. I have already considered that.” He replied. “Anyway, I’ll talk to you soon…” Then he hung up.
They were already standing in front of Ethan’s suite. Good thing the men recognized them, therefore, they have given them access to the house.
They went inside and went directly to the living room. There they saw the woman smiling while playing with her daughter. Then both Caleb and Hunter got startled at the scene they saw.
“Aisha! It’s definitely her!” They yelped. And a little girl was beside her doing something while the woman is watching her.
“Miss Alex, you have some visitors.” Ysabelle muttered.
The woman suddenly stood up and the little girl curiously glanced at the direction of the three guys. Then she lit up.
“Grandpa!” Miracle dash to embrace Rio, then after a few seconds, she stared at the two beautiful guys who was looking at her mother.
“Who are you?” She asked.
Hunter stoop down to meet the girl’s eyes. “Hi, my name is Hunter and this is Caleb. We are your uncles and your mother’s best friends.” He smiled.
The little girl instantly sized them up from head to toe. she looks like Aisha’s mother right now who is a-ssessing the woman’s suitors! Dang! Why are little kids so matured now? They scoffed within. She is just like Sahaya.
“Mira, stop that already.” They heard the woman spoke up while she walks towards them. “I’m sorry about my daughter’s rudeness. She is just a little skeptical toward strangers.”
“Mom, that’s not true!” The little lad rebuffed then once again glanced at the two gentlemen. “It’s nice meeting you uncles!” She grinned.
“Nice meeting you too, gorgeous.” Caleb and Hunter smiled.
“Please come in and have a seat. I’ll just—–”
The woman was interrupted when Caleb suddenly jump off to his feet and embraced her tight. Then after a few minutes, Caleb wrapped his arm around her ne-ck then messes her hair.
“Aisha! We miss you so much!” He was laughing while messing the woman’s hair.
The woman was startled at first but the feeling of peace and calmness overtaking within her was so familiar. These gals were definitely a part of her past.
“Hey stop that dude… You’re making her feel uncomfortable.” Hunter uttered when he went near the two.
Caleb halted a little. ” dude, shut up… I know you want to do this too…come on!”
Then they both smirk-ed evilly before Hunter joined Caleb.
“Yah! Stop it!” The woman was laughing crisply since Hunter started tickling her sides. They definitely know where to tickle her.
They were all laughing together—- just like the old times. Rio who was watching them, smiled widely. Then a tear dropped from his one eye and the child must have caught it therefore, she held her grandpa’s hand.
“Grandpa…” The little girl smiled a-ssuringly.
“I’m okay, sweetheart.” Then he lifted the child in his arms.
The little kid touch the man’s face with her tiny hands then smiled.
“Don’t worry grandpa, mommy will remember everything sooner…she will definitely remember you.”
The man smiled at her. This kid is trying to encourage him not to lose heart and not to give up on her daughter. Ah, what a relief and a shame as well. Shouldn’t he be the one trying to lift their hearts?

Meanwhile, a man who was long bound in the prison made used of the jail’s telephone to contact someone outside.
“Sir, it has been a long time… Is there something you want me to do?” A rou-ghvoice from a man answered on the other line.
“Yes. I need you to watch somebody. Why don’t you pay me a visit tonight?” He grinned.
“Yes Sir.” Then the call got disconnected.
As for the man in the jail, he crumpled the letter that he has been holding after the man disconnected the call.
“You’ll pay for this.” He voiced murderously.
