I went to the saloon and have my hair do, the stylist was about rounding up when my phone rang it was my mum calling
Mum: Hello sweet heart where are you?
Lisa: I’m still in the saloon, I replied cheerfully
Mum: that’s good, pas-sthe phone to Anita
That’s the name of the stylist
Lisa: Okey mum, I handed the phone to Aunty Anita
After some time, she finished with the hair and brou-ght out some nails, then asked me to put my legs on her laps… I was very surprised and had to ask her why.
Lisa: Aunty who are those for?
Anita: For you of course, she said Smiling and carried my left leg up and placed it on her laps.
Lisa: Still surprised…. But Aunty, I never asked for it
Anita: Yah I know, but your mum instructed that I should do it, and even fix you eyelashes. She said smiling
Lisa: What! but aunt, I’m not used to these things, and I don’t think I can be able to cope with them… Please I will call my mom to tell her that I’m fine just the way I am….. I picked up my phone and dial my mums number… Just then she smiled and said….. Hello princess, no need wasting your airtime, I’m right here.
Lisa: I ran to her and hug-ged her, my father also came by.. Dad, what are you guys doing here? I asked them giggling
Mum: To see how gorgeous our princess is looking of course.
Dad cuts in…
Dad: You look extremely beautiful, I wish your still that little damsel so that I will carry you up and wiggle you around.
We all burst into laughter.
Lisa: Dad I’m still your little princess, just added some weights…. I said smiling.
Mum: Anita, you have not started yet?
Anita: Was almost on it ma’am.
Lisa: But mom, you knows I’m not used to things like this, I will mess my self up because I will feel nervous with them on me……. I said with a little frown.
Mum: Don’t worry darling, you’re a grown up now and you will get used to them soon, I asked her do it very short that it will be almost equal to your finger nails and no one is gonna notice that it ain’t your fingernails
Lisa: And the lashes? I cut in
Mum: It will be equally short my love, the shortest inch.
Lisa: Mum, I’m scared, that stuff is dangerous for the eyes, what of if my eye gets glued and I became blind.
My mum smiled and hug-ged me…. No dear, is the foreign one, you can attach it even by yourself and as well removes it whenever you wishes to…. Is not harmful.
Do you think mum will ever do anything to hurt you?
She asked with a serious face
Lisa: No mum, I said and hug-ged her tightly.
Mum: Alright princess, I and your Dad is going to a very important place right now.
I cuts in….
Lisa: Mum! Dad!….. What are you saying, ain’t you coming to my prom night? I asked almost in tears
Dad: Of course darling we will….. We will be back in a jiffy so brighten up… Your parents will be present.
I signed in relieve.
Lisa: OK Dad… Thanks mum
Mum and dad in unison… You’re welcome sweet.
Mum: Anita, don’t forget that you will be coming to make my daughter up by 5pm
Anita: Yes MA, I remember I will be there.
Mum & Dad: Alright bye princess, catch you later
Lisa: Bye mum

I got home from the saloon looking very pimping and sharp, kelvin was amazed at my look and praised me, then we took some selfies together which kelvin insisted on posting online, he went as far as using them as his profile pics both in Whatsapp and Facebook.
We chatted about the prom night and played video game until 5pm when we both dispatch to our various rooms to go get ready…… I took my birth applied my body lotion and brou-ght out my dress from the wardrobe, I spread it on the bed and also brou-ght out my bag and shoe and lay it besides the dress. A lot of thoughts crossed my mind on how I will look inside this dress, beautiful or old fashioned… Just then my phone peeped that’s a message of course I opened it and is from Muna and it reads.
Hey buddy, it’s your day your prom night, congratulations once again for attaining this height, I’m very happy and proud of you. Good luck to you and your lucky prom date. I must not fail to commend Kelvin’s profile pics they look exceptionally beautiful. Bye
I read it again and again and where catches my fancy most was, Goodluck to you and your prom date…. What does he meant by that huh! Does he not know that kelvin is to be my prom date or is he pretentiously mocking me?
I became nervous and angry at the same time not angry at Muna but at my self for unnecessarily starring a rift between I and him that leads to this.. Is just my pride, ego and self centered attitudes that I am really getting paid off by.
Is quarter pa-ssed 5 already so I had to hurry before they start screaming my name to hurry up….. I put on my undies and just then a rap at my door, I tied my towel and get to the door,… It was the stylist.

Anita: Hello dear, I’m sorry for coming a bit late.
Lisa: No not to worry, you came right on time.
Anita: Alright let’s get to the business of the day.
She asked me to sit down facing the mirror which I did she brou-ght out many cosmetics of different colors and names…. I can’t help but wondered if all of them is going to be applied on me.
Aunty, please make it light and natural I said to her after remembering how those that wore heavy makeups usually looks.
Anita : Not to worry dear, I knows what will perfectly suit your beautiful face.

I had to close my eyes because I’m actually scared of what the outcome would be after applying all these things on my face including the lashes and nails.
God knows that I would either look like a white witch or like a mermaid…. In fact, I just don’t want to watch.
