Melanie walked to the clas-sand met a few students present in the cla-ss. She went to a corner and sat on a chair, resting her head on it.
“fuc-k ,” she squee-zed her face when a terrible headache hit her.
Her face was beginning to get pale and she was already having a temperature.
“I shouldn’t have drank last night” she mumbled and stood up.
She was walking to the door when she bumped into someone. She almost fell but the person was quick to catch her.
“Are you okay, Melanie?” Kylie asked.
“I….” Melanie couldn’t finish her sentence as the pain became unbearable for her.
Kylie noticed her pale face, he placed his hand on her forehead and withdrew it quickly.
“fuc-k , you’re burning up!” Kylie exclaimed.
“How did this happen? Follow me” he dragged her out of the clas-sand Melanie followed him behind like a lost puppy.
Kylie took her to the nurse’s office and she was given some hangover drugs, she rested there afterwards.
“Are you okay now?” Kylie asked. Melanie was lying on the bed.
“Yes, thank you” Melanie smiled.
“Why did you drink last night? Did something happen at the party?” Kylie asked. Something came up and he couldn’t attend the party.
“It was cool. I only drank because I wished to, but I’m regretting it now” Melanie bit her li-ps.
Kylie chuckled.
“You’ll be fine, just take a rest like the Doctor suggested” he said.
He touched her forehead and released a smile when he felt it was normal
“Thank you,” Melanie suddenly said.
Kylie withdrew his hand to stare at her.
“I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t helped me,” she muttered.
Kylie smiled.
“I’m glad I was there. I’m Kylie by the way” he introduced.
“I’m…”
“You don’t have to tell me, I already know your name” he stood up.
“I’ll take my leave so you can have enough rest. I’ll come back to check up on you later”
Melanie nodded with a smile.
Kylie stared at her for a while before leaving the place.

A4’S SUITE***
Ace stared at his phone at intervals, expecting a message to pop in.
“Are you okay?” Aiden asked beside him.
“Yea…” Ace smiled shortly and stared at his phone again.
Axel entered the house, this time he was putting on a mask.
“Why are you putting this on? Your parents already know where you stay, so why?” Aaron asked.
Axel settled himself on a couch and removed the mask, he threw it to the chair carelessly.
“I just felt like,” he muttered.
“Is everything okay?” Aiden asked.
“Yea…”
“What are you busy staring at on your phone? Are you expecting any message or call?” Aaron asked Ace.
Axel glanced at Ace.
“Huh, yes. I’m expecting a message” Ace replied.
He suddenly stood up.
“I’m gonna go crazy at this rate” he muttered, walking to the door.
He opened it and came to face Paisley.
“Hey,” Paisley smiled.
Ace scoffed and walked past her, Paisley followed him.
“Is he okay?” Axel asked.
“You ki-ssed his girlfriend and should I say ex?” Aaron said.
“He must have felt jealous about it. You did that on purpose, right? I mean, you won’t ki-ss her for nothing”
“You probably did that just to spite Ace” Aiden said.
“You’re wrong,” Axel muttered.
“Huh?” Aaron and Aiden exchanged glances.
“Then, why did you?” Aaron asked slowly.
Axel didn’t bother to reply, as he shut his eyes tight.
His mind drifted to his discussion with Melanie and he scoffed internally.
It wouldn’t have hurt if she had said those words to him, but pouring the soup he made for her was totally out of it.
“I should have just minded my business” he mumbled to himself.

“Ace, wait up, huh?” Paisley half yelled as she followed Ace behind.
Ace stopped and turned to her with a frustrating gro-an.
“What do you want?” He asked.
“You of course. You left yesterday without any word, I went to the restroom and returned back to find you gone. Why?” Paisley asked.
“You don’t need to know” Ace turned to leave
“Why are you suddenly acting this way? Did I do something wrong? Tell me, Ace”
“Don’t you get it? Paisley, let’s end this fuc-k ing thing, I’m tired!” Ace yelled, turning to her in anger.
“What… You’re joking right?” Paisley stuttered.
“Does it look like I’m joking? I’m damn serious here, Paisley. Let’s end this”
“What the hell are you saying, Ace?! How can you suddenly break up with me?!!” Paisley shouted.
“Break up?” Ace chuckled softly.
“You thought I was dating you, is that it? Then you’re a fool, a fuc-k ing dumba-ss”
“We were only fuc-k buddies, Paisley. You’re nothing but my se-x partner, you clearly said it in the first place. Why claiming to be my girlfriend? You can never be, so quit the act”
“Are you being serious right now?” Paisley muttered in shock.
“You can’t do this to me, Ace”
“I can, and I’m doing it right now. Stay away from me” Ace warned and left.
Paisley stared into space, trying to register what she just heard. Tears formed in her eyes and slowly, it trickled down her cheeks.
She bit her trembling li-ps and ran out of the place.

INFIRMARY***
“Lanie!” Lauren screamed, seeing Melanie on the bed.
She and Julie rushed to her immediately.
“Are you okay? What happened?” Julie asked, concern clearly written on her face.
“I drank a lot more than I could take,” Melanie chuckled.
“And I told you, just look at where you landed yourself” Lauren scolded.
“Are you hurt? What did the nurse say?” She rushed.
“One question at a time, Lauren,” Melanie said with a smile.
“I was only worried,” Lauren pouts.
“So, what did the nurse say? There’s nothing wrong, right?” Julie asked.
“Yes, she gave me some drugs already. I’m fine now” Melanie smiled.
“Gosh,” Lauren breathed out in relief.
“You don’t know how worried I was when Kylie told me you were here, my heart flew to Jupiter immediately” Lauren dramatized.
“Isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration?” Melanie raised a brow.
“I’m damn serious here. I literally died” Lauren pouts.
“You’re crazy, Lauren” Julie laughed
“I’m serious, does it look like I’m joking?” Lauren frowned.
“Don’t ever try that again, or else I’m gonna kill you” she glared playfully.
“I won’t, Mom,” Melanie giggled.
“Good girl, don’t be stubborn, okay?” Lauren pats Melanie’s hair.
Julie laughed as she watched them.
“Right. Have you heard from Axel?” Lauren suddenly asked.
Melanie’s expression changed immediately
“Why?”
“He was the one who took you home last night, you were throwing a lot of tantrums, gosh” Lauren shook her head.
“Axel did?” Melanie asked in total surprise.
“Yea. Aren’t you aware of it?” Julie asked.
“He didn’t tell you?” Lauren asked too.
“No,” Melanie bit her li-ps.
“I guess he’s a nice person after all,” Lauren smiled
“You need to thank him, Lanie. If not for him, we might have slept at the club last night” Julie said.
Melanie sighed.
“I don’t want to,” she mumbled.
“Why?”
“He’s a friend to Ace, how am I sure they’re not the same? What if he’s doing that just to toy with me too? I can’t take that” Melanie said.
“Lanie, I understand that you’re hurt, but thinking every other guy will be like Ace is absolutely ridiculous” Lauren said.
“She’s right. Axel is a playboy, just like Ace. What if he’s also planning to play her?” Julie bu-tted in.
“I don’t think so, he seems to be sincere last night” Lauren said.
“It’s okay guys, let’s just forget about it” Melanie came down from the bed.
“You aren’t gonna thank him?” Lauren asked.
Melanie ignored her and left the infirmary, Julie and Lauren went after her too.

CHEMISTRY LAB***
Immediately the professor left, Audrey turned to Axel who was busy packing his tools.
“Axel, we need to talk,” she said.
“About what?” Axel asked, not glancing at her a bit.
“Why did you ki-ss that girl at the party?” She questioned
“Do I have to answer you?” Axel muttered.
“Are you my girlfriend that I ought to be explaining myself to? You’re not, so buzz off” Axel warned.
He removed his lab coat and left the lab.
“That jerk,” Audrey bit her li-ps and ruffled her hair hard.
“He’s just driving me crazy,” she gro-aned.

Melanie was sitting in the clas-swith Lauren and Julie when Paisley marched to them.
“Are you satisfied now?” Paisley asked, almost yelling.
Melanie furrowed her brows in confusion.
“He ended things with me, he fuc-k ing did and that’s because of you! I’ll never forgive you for this, Melanie. I’ll never forgive you!” Paisley stormed out of the clas-sin anger.
“What’s with her?” Julie asked.
Melanie shrugged.
“You hungry?” She asked.
“I’m not,” Lauren and Julie chorused at the same time.
Melanie looked at them and blinked her eyes cutely.
“Stop that, huh? Let’s just go” Julie smiled.
“You’re just the best,” Melanie gushed and ki-ssed her cheek.
“And me?” Lauren frowned.
“You can stay here,” Melanie winked. She held Julie’s hand and they both walked out with Julie laughing at Lauren’s funny look.
“Lanie!!” Lauren screamed and ran after them.

“Lanie stop!” Lauren screamed, running after Melanie.
Melanie giggled and stuck her tongue at her, she faced her front and the smile disappeared from her face when she saw Ace just a few meters away from her.
Lauren caught up with them, breathing heavily. She smacked Julie by the arm.
“You almost killed me” she pan-ts heavily.
Julie smiled before facing Ace who was already walking towards them.
“What do you want this time around?” Melanie asked, folding her arms on her chest.
“I need to talk to you, alone,” Ace said.
“And you think I’m gonna allow that?” Melanie scoffed.
“I won’t take long, please” Ace begged.
Melanie glanced at Julie and Lauren who immediately understood. They both walked away
“What do you want?” She asked after they were gone.
“Did you see my message?” Ace asked.
“What message?”
“I guess you didn’t after all. I ended things with Paisley” he blurted out.
“So?..”
“I’m sorry, I should have done that long ago. I shouldn’t have hurt you and I de-eply regret it now, you don’t deserve that at all”
“Thank God you finally realized that,” Melanie mumbled.
“I’m sorry, Melanie. Please forgive me, I promise to make things right” he said.
“Meaning?”
“Be my girlfriend again, Melanie. I promise not to do that again, I will never hurt you again” Ace said
Melanie laughed shortly.
“Your girlfriend? That’s so funny” she suddenly became serious.
“You lost that chance, Ace. You lost it the day you decided to cheat on me with Paisley. And you know what, I don’t fuc-k ing care if you broke up with her or not, it’s none of my business and it never will!”
“For the last time, stay away from me Ace. The next time you try to say trash like this to me again, I won’t hesitate to hit you” she warned and then she left.
Ace stood there like a lost person, his eyes already red.
“I’m a fool,” he mumbled to himself.

Melanie hadn’t gone far when she suddenly stopped walking. She brou-ght out her phone and clic-ked on the message box.
★ MELANIE, YOU REALLY GOT ME LAST NIGHT, I COULDN’T TAKE THE SCENE OF YOU AND AXEL ki-ssING. I’M GONNA END THINGS WITH PAISLEY TODAY… THEN, CAN I HAVE YOU BACK TO ME? ★
She scoffed after reading the message.
“So, that was it?” She shook her head and continued her journey.

A WEEK LATER***
MELANIE’S APARTMENT***
Melanie was coming out of her room when Axel did too. Their eyes locked and Axel broke it immediately, walking out of the house.
Melanie sighed. He has been ignoring her ever since the day she talked to him. They were like total strangers to each other.
And, there’s not a single day she won’t see him with a girl, doing dirty stuff to each other.
Her phone rang and she picked it, walking out of the house.
“Hey baby, how are you?” Mrs. Brown asked.
“I’m fine, Mom. How’s Dad?” Melanie asked.
“He’s fine. Where are you?”
“On my way to school, I have an early cla-ss,” Melanie muttered.
“Oh.. You’re not skipping your meals, aren’t you?”
Melanie bit her li-ps.
“I’m not, never” she lied.
“Good. Is everything okay at your house, do you need any money?”
“I’m fine, Mom. I need to go now, the bus is here” Melanie said when the bus arrived.
“Okay, bye” the call ended.
Melanie entered the bus with the few people that were waiting at the bus stop. She settled down and the bus drove off.

MONASH UNIVERSITY,12PM***
Immediately the Lecturer left, the whole clas-sbecame noisy.
Melanie crumpled her forehead in pain when a pain hit her stomach.
“It’s not my time of the month, is it?” She asked herself.
“Are you okay?” Julie asked, noticing her uncomfortable expression.
“I don’t think so. I need to use the restroom” Melanie quickly rushed out of the cla-ss.
“Is she okay?” Lauren asked Julie.
“I think we should follow her,” Julie suggested.
Lauren nodded and they both went out of the cla-ss, heading to the restroom.

Melanie entered the restroom in a haste, going to one of the stalls.
She removed her pan-ties and smiled in relief when there was no bloodstain.
She wore her pan-ties back and opened the door.
She creased her brow when she saw a guy chasing the females out of the restroom.
She tried to walk past them when he suddenly stopped her.
“What do you think you’re doing? In a female’s restroom?” She asked.
The guy grinned.
“Do you know me? I bet you don’t” he started moving closer to her.
Melanie shifted back, watching his every move.
“What…”
“Shh…” He placed his hand on his li-ps.
“Don’t say anything, beauty” he smiled
Melanie pushed him away and ran to the door, but he was fast-er. He threw her to the floor aggressively and locked the door making it impossible for her to escape.
“What…. Don’t hurt me please” Melanie begged. She was already trembling in fear.
“Oh no, James is not gonna hurt you, alright? You just have to cooperate with me” he smiled.
“I saw you entering the restroom and you caught my attention, you’re just so beautiful and I really wanna have a taste of you” James smiled. He bent to her height and touched her cheeks.
“So soft,” he grinned, staring at her with nothing but lust in his eyes.

Julie and Lauren were on their way to the restroom when they heard some girls discussing among themselves.
“Did you see James? He chased all the girls out in the restroom, I wonder what he’s up to this time around” A girl said.
“Do you think a girl is in there?” Another one asked.
“What are you guys saying?” Lauren stopped them.
“Did you just say James?” Julie quickly interrupted.
“Yes…”
“Shit!” Julie ran to the restroom.
“Julie!” Lauren ran after her.
Julie got to the restroom and tried opening it to no avail.
“Melanie, are you in there?” She shouted.
“Get lost, I’m busy here!” Julie heard James’ voice.
“What did he say? Is Melanie in there?” Lauren asked, almost crying.
“I think so. The door is locked” Julie muttered.
“What? Oh no, I should find help” Lauren went away.
“James, open this fuc-k ing door or I’ll break your balls” Julie shouted.

“Gosh, can’t she just stop shouting?” James complained as Julie won’t stop ban-ging the door.
He faced Melanie who was curled to the wall, her gown torn a bit.
“They won’t even allow us to enjoy a bit” he shook his head.
“Don’t come closer,” Melanie cried as he went closer to her.
He raised her up and forcefully smashed his li-ps on hers.
There was a loud sound as the door was forcefully opened, revealing a furious Axel.
Seeing the scene before him, he felt a stab of anger.
“Get the fuc-k off her!” He growled, rushing to James.
He pulled him away from Melanie and landed a heavy punch on his face. Three teeths flew out of James’ mouth.
“fuc-k ,” James gro-aned, falling to his knees.
Axel turned to Melanie who was holding her torn clothes, her face soaked with tears.
He looked away and faced James in anger. He held his collar and dragged him inside one of the stalls, locking it from inside.
“Axel,” Melanie whispered, going to the door.
Julie and Lauren rushed in. They gasped when they saw her state and Julie didn’t hesitate to remove her jacket, she covered Melanie up with it.
“Are you okay?” Lauren asked.
Melanie shook her head whilst crying.
“Axel, he’s…” That was when they started hearing different sounds.
The door opened and Axel came out, he left the restroom without a word
The students who had managed to gather around suddenly rushed to the stall. A surprise gasp left their li-ps when they saw James unconscious with bruises on his face.
Melanie rushed after Axel.

“Axel!” She called when she got outside.
Axel ignored her and continued walking. She ran to his front.
“What do you want?” Axel asked.
“Are you that dumb to allow him to bully you that way? Do you know what he did? He fuc-k ing ki-ssed you!” Axel half yelled.
Melanie started crying.
“He was stronger… He” she choked on her tears.
“You know what, just stay out of my sight. You wanted that right? I’m maintaining my distance, so you have to do yours” Axel said coldly.
He turned and left Melanie who was busy wallowing in guilt.
