“That is the reason why, I don’t want them staying together, if two people are close, they will certainly do the inevitable”Suzanne said
“Not when am here to stop it, it happened before and i prevented any problem from occuring and so i will just have to do the same”Gladys said
“I still can’t let her stay here,it’s too…..”
“Stop being a pain in the ne-ck and just leave, your daughter will be staying in the palace, living as Louis wife and I will be here watching over him,so just do what you are ought to and get out of here? You made a promise years ago,you said you won’t ever set foot in the palace and in exchange I helped you, you should have stick to your promise no matter what”Gladys said
“Not when my child is in danger” Suzanne said
“Danger you say? Where were you when she was in danger? Why weren’t you there when she nee-ded you the most? If Louis hadn’t gone there to get her, she might have been killed by now!”Gladys said
“That’s the more reason…..why I have to take my child away from here, You are all royalty, envied a lot by people and some even wants you dead, i don’t want that kind of life for my daughter Gladys “Suzanne said
“As long as she is here, she will be fine”Some one said and they both turned to see the king by the door way, starring at the two of them.
“How long have you been there son?”Gladys asked as she stared at Suzanne nervously
“Long enough to hear Suzanne last remark, I never thought that I would be seeing you in the palace again”he said as he walked towards them, only starring at Suzanne.
“I only came here for my daughter and with your as-surance, I can be rest as-sured that she is fine, I will take my leave now”he said and turned to leave only to be pulled back by Peter.
“Since you are here, why don’t you have dinner with us?”He asked as he stared at her
“I don’t think that will be a good idea”she said starring at Gladys who was looking at her angrily
“It’s a dinner to celeBr@te your daughter being amongst the royalty and nothing more or is the past still haunting you?”He asked softly
“Of course not! Why would the past haunt me?”
“Then stay for dinner”He said and Suzanne knew that she had given her self away, she should have known that he was just baiting her.
“Why don’t we go to the dinner room ,every one will be waiting”Peter said as he walked to the door urshering the two out of the room.
Sharon sat beside Louis and her mom while the king sat at the head with Harvey mom sitted beside him and Gladys who sat beside the queen.
“Until when will Harvey be waiting for this grand guest of his?”the king asked
“Just wait a few more minutes, they will be here soon and besides Mary isn’t here too”The queen said as she dipped into their starters.
“Mary as it is went out with some of her friends, for a project “Louis answered starring at the queen.
“Are you sure she went out for her project or some where else entirely”the queen queried
“What are you trying to say?”Louis asked and suddenly the atmosphere became too stiff.
Sharon sat wondering if she will be living like this for the rest of her life, just one word and every one is all tensed.
Judging from every one faces, they don’t look too happy being at the same table. Sharon could still remember the time she had dinner with her parents.it can’t be compared to this.
That some how made her feel sad for Louis, if he had grown up like this , then it must have really made him……
“Don’t you think so Sharon”Sharon who had been lost in her thoughts stared at the queen,judging by every one who waited, the queen had asked her a question.
“Sharon?”Louis called softly and she stared at him and at every one again wondering what the queen just asked
“I don’t believe that you should be asking us that question but if you only want to satisfy your curiousity just as you have said then I will just have to tell you that Celine didn’t get married to me because she is pregnant but because she loves me just as much as I do”Louis said and they all stared at him.
Judging by Louis reply, Sharon could tell what the question was.
“If you say so, for a while Sharon silence made me think other wise”The queen said
“You dont have to concern your self with us, just worry about your son”Louis said and that got her angry and also got her to shut up.
Harvey walked in a while later with out this so called guest he had been waiting for.
“Sorry for the delay but she won’t be able to make it today”He said as he took his seat.
A seat which was directly in front of Sharon, Sharon found her self starring at Harvey and Harvey did the same, some thing which Louis didn’t fail to notice and some how that got him feeling angry.
“Now that we are all complete, why don’t we have our dinner, am starving”the king said as the maids immediately brou-ght out the food.
They were still eating the first course when the queen began talking again.
“Sharon my dear! Have been meaning to ask you this question?she said starring at her
“You can ask”Sharon said as she ate a mouth full of food…
“You met Louis first and married him and that’s because you love him right but what if the circ-umstances had been changed, What if you had met Harvey first, would you have married Harvey?”She asked softly
“Your highness I really think that….”
“I wasn’t talking to you Louis, I was talking to your wife,answer me Sharon”The queen said stopping Louis words
Sharon stared at every one and all eyes were on her waiting for her response, even her mother was waiting for her response.
She stared at Harvey who was also waiting for her response.
She smiled and took Louis hands in her, Louis gave her a look which she returned with a smile
“Luckily for me your highness there is no circ-umstance to choose from, Louis is the guy in my life and if I have to choose, I will only be choosing Louis”She said softly.
This is all a show, a show which she had agreed to give because Louis nee-ds her help but why does she feel other wise, she thought starring at them all
“That was a wonder full reply, I like that “The king said starring at the queen who was now starring at Harvey.
Unknown to them all, a knowing glance slid between Suzanne and Gladys.
Her hands still in his, Louis held it back and stared at the queen.
“Sharon has clarify all the doubts there nee-d be and so I request your highness that such issues doesn’t come up again”Louis said
“Not when you are lying to her”Harvey said suddenly.
“This is not the place to talk Harvey?”Gladys said beside him
“Why? Why shouldn’t I talk, have been robbed of what is mine and…..”
“Stay quiet Harvey!”the queen said but he wasn’t willing to listen.
Sharon answer was meant to be for him but because of Louis, he has robbed him of her love, if they all think that he will just sit back and do nothing, then they are in for a surprise.
He moved his chair back and stared at Sharon once again and then at their linked hands.
“This is not over”he said as he walk out of the room.
“I think you should go with him, I can see that you are dying to do so” the king said to the queen who was starring at Harvey as he walked off
Getting the king permission, she left the room in a rush.
“It’s best that I leave now”Suzanne said
“You don’t have to do that, we haven’t finished dinner yet”Peter said holding Suzanne hand some thing Louis didn’t fail to see
“But I think it’s time that I Leave”she said as she pulled her hand away quickly.
She went to Sharon asking her to escourt her out which Sharon did immediately leaving, Louis, the king and his grand ma alone In the room.
