“Grand ma what is going on?”He asked starring at his grand ma not sure of why she is behaving like this.
“Just answer me Louis! do you have any R0m-ntic feelings for that girl?”She asked again and knowing that his grand ma was very serious, he answered quickly
“Of course not! I don’t like her,I only married her because I have to and you know that too”he said softly
“That’s a relief!”She replied as she put her hand on her che-st.
“Why are you asking grand ma, never have I seen you this way? You look like a stranger, I didn’t recognise you a few minutes ago?”He said
“That’s…..that’s be….because I…I was worried “She replied nervously
“Why?”he asked
“You…you were giving her your blood and so I thought…I …..I had to stop you”She said
“Why must you? The doctor said she nee-ds some blood and so I had to give her mine because it will be late before any blood can get to her”he said
“Fine! I un-der stand”she said
“I will head back in “Louis said as he began to move in only for her to pull him back.
“Never, ever fall for her? You only nee-d her for you to get the throne okay, please keep that in mind each time your heart tries to rule you”she said
“You should relax okay! I already know that and you see this heart of mine Is like a stone , it will never ever fall for some one, have witnessed some one heart break to know that there is nothing called love”he said
“Are you talking about your mom?”She asked
“Who else! I got to learn it from her, I will go and see Sharon, she is still scared and can’t get used to her new powers”He said giving his grand ma a smile before walking into the room.
“I hope so! I hope your heart keeps on being a stone, most especially when that girl is around you”she said softly
Louis got into the room only to find it empty, where could she have gone to, he thought as he went back out side to alert every one.
Sharon kept on running, she was still in the palace and some how she felt tired and rest less.
Her vampire powers were still out and Louis blood still trickle down her mouth.
She has been looking for a way out for a while now and still nothing, she finally got to the entrance only to see two guards stationed there, some how her vampire powers weren’t visible anymore,it had all gone back to hiding.
She was about to walk out when the two guards blocked her path.
“People in the palace aren’t allowed to leave?” One of the guards said
“Excuse me”she said as she tried to leave only for her to be pushed back again
“Stop with your nonsense and go back to the kitchen, you must be a palace maid right? What do you think will happen once they get to know that you are leaving”one of them said again
“Look am not a maid, neither am I any thing, I just want to leave”she said moving into their midst only for them to push her back making her fall in the process.
“Just go back to the kitchen, all workers aren’t allowed to leave the palace except with their leave pas-s”the guard yelled at her
“What’s going on?”A voice said and they both turned to see Harvey by the entrance.
On seeing him the guards bowed and while he noticed that the person on the floor was Sharon, he ran towards her to help her up
“Are you okay?”He asked looking worried
“Am fine, I…..”
“What the hell is going on? Why is she on the floor?”Harvey asked
“Forgive us your highness but this maid wanted to leave with out giving us her leave pas-s”The guard said and Harvey turned to look at her
“You didn’t tell them who you are ?”he asked
“I just want to leave, can you help me with that?”She asked starring at him.
“Of course not?”A voice said behind them and they both turned to see the queen , Harvey mother watching them all.
All of them bowed except for Sharon who was still new to the whole thing.
“Why would you be asking the prince to help you leave when you have your husband with you?”She said starring at Sharon with hostility
She had been amongst those watching them when Louis had been carrying her in , she had felt scared when they were all watching them but having her this close some how made her feel more scared. there was some thing about her that made her scary to Sharon.
“Mother she only… ”
“I told you not to interfere, she is married to Louis, let him handle her, if on the first day she arrives and she wants to leave, it certainly shows that Louis is not enough of a man to keep his wife by his side”she said still glaring at Sharon.
“Wrong!”Louis said behind them and they all turned to see him standing there along with some guards. They might have been searching for her? She thought as she stared at Louis. Some how she felt glad that he was at least here.
“Wrong on what your highness”The queen asked
“Wrong about me not being man enough to keep my wife by my side, I certainly can keep my wife at my side, so stop thinking about such a thing “Louis said softly as he bowed to her and went to Sharon, pulling her from Harvey grasp
“If you are man enough as you just claimed, then why was she trying to leave your highness “She asked
Sharon felt Louis hold ti-ghten on her hand and she knew he was angry.
“She is still new to things here, you were that way when my father first married you, you should un-der stand her better”Louis said and that wiped off the smile on her face.
Is just it her or did she smell some sort of tension between these three, Sharon thought as she kept starring at them all.
“Come on”Louis said as he began to leave with her only for the queen which she now knew as Harvey mother to say some thing very cruel.
“You know have always been wondering how your dead mother would feel with what you have become and now I certainly know how she would be feeling”The queen said as as she walked towards Louis who had stood still, holding Sharon hand ti-ghtly
“She would be turning over in her grave with shame, you turned out to be an embarras-sment your highness”she said acidly and began to walk off with Harvey who followed her.
Harvey stopped to stare at Sharon and he grew more angry when he saw her looking at Louis instead.he went into the mansion,feeling angry more than ever.
Sharon saw the pain etched on Louis face and feeling some how guilty she held his hand which was still engulfed in hers.
He stared at her and she gave him a smile, wanting to make him smile too, seeing him sad some how sadden her.
He pulled his hand out of hers and turned away from her.
“You shouldn’t feel pity towards me, instead you shouldn’t let this sort of thing happen again” he said and walked in expecting her to follow suit.
He was wrong though! She felt sad, sad that the queen could hurt him by using his dead mother and more than ever she found that her heart which was do cold towards him is some how warming to him.

Sharon walked back into the room with Louis Ahead.
Judging by the look on his face, he was still angry and it was certainly because of what the queen had said to him which is all her fault, if she hadn’t left the room wanting to escape.
“I….”
“Why were you trying to leave?”he asked after keeping quiet for a while
“I just …I didn’t want to be here when you came back, Some how I felt that I had to leave “Sharon replied
“Do you still hate me? I thought we had more close than that now’?”He asked
“You are right! I had hated you before but now I don’t, the only thing I want from you right now is give me a divorce and get me out of this mess as it is”she said and he walked the few paces that seprated them..
“You saw what happened out side a while ago! I don’t want your pity, I just nee-d your help, once I get what am aiming at, I will willingly grant you the divorce you are asking for”he said
“Fine, I will willingly grant you the help you nee-d but I also want to know why you nee-d my help,what does the queen have to do with this?”Sharon asked and Louis sighed, walking to the window to stand by it.
He had told her this a month ago, then she hadn’t lose her memory and she had refused to help.
If he told her the same thing now will she really help him, this time around? He thought as he turned back to her.
“Like have said, I have to get the crown, have worked so ha-rd, all my life to get the crown and if the queen gets to have a little chance, she will do her best to get Harvey the throne” he said as he walked towards her.
“I made a promise to some one I hold dear that I will get the throne and I must see that I get it, if I fail in doing it or if Harvey and his mother succeed then we will be thrown out and am not ready to have that, that is why I nee-d your help”He said
“In short you are doing this to get the throne “she asked again
“For the throne and as soon as I succeed in getting it, you will be free Sharon.I promise you that “he added as he moved towards her to take her hand in his.
“Fine then , I will help”she said softly and he gave her a smile, a smile which made her feel strange inside.
“Sharon! Let me in! Sharon my child”On hearing her mother voice, she pulled away from Louis and went back out side..
Her mother stood by the gates, not allowed into the palace by the guards who stood on the way.
“Mother!”she called as she ran towards them and on seeing her, they both bowed.
Just a while ago, they had treated her like a maid and now they were the bowing at her, is this what being a Royal means? She thought as she gave her worried mother a hu-g.
She felt guilty, guilty that she didn’t even think about her mother for once.
“Are you okay? I was worried when I got back home to see the house in a mess, especially your room”she said as she careessed her daughter face
“Am fine mom, I am “she replied as she hu-gged her mom in return
“Come! You nee-d to go back home, there you will receive better treatment and…..”
“I don’t think that will be possible Mrs Blake”Louis said as he walked towards them
“Why?”Suzanne asked
“Sharon is my wife and her right full place is here with me”He said as he pulled Sharon to his side
“But that’s not what we agreed on ?”she said
“I don’t remember making any agreement with you Mrs Blake”Louis replied softly
“Well Gladys had promised me that she will be….”
“What ever promise my grand ma had made to you certainly doesn’t concern me and my wife here, we have already made our own promise as it is. Arent I right Sharon?” He asked starring at Sharon who nodded at her mom.
“I just can’t leave Mom, I already……”
“What’s going on here?” Louis father said as he walked towards them
“Sharon! We must leave, we have to leave”Suzanne said as she quickly pulled Sharon hand but Louis holding Sharon other hand stopped them until he king got close.
Every one except Suzanne Bowed at the king as he got to where they were.
“I just asked a question right? What’s going on?”he repeated again
“I came for my daughter”She said
“Your daughter is now the crown princess, you can’t ask her to just leave with you like that?”The king said
“She has to come with me”Suzanne said, ready to argue with the king and any one else if possible.
Sharon knew what her mom is like, she had to Interfere before matter get worse.
“Why don’t we all go in”Sharon said as she took hold of her mother hand who was still glaring at the king.
She mouthed at Louis, who quickly took his father back into the house too.
“Sharon there is no talking about this, we have got to leave this place, I don’t want you here”she said looking worried.
“But there is nothing to worry about? I can take care if my self and i have my hidden powers to do so”She said
“Don’t be stupid! You are not a master with your powers yet and Gladys had as-sured me that you wouldn’t have to live in the palace even when you get married but then look at where you are, I already made a vow that I won’t stepping into the palace and now look where I am, we have to leave! We have to…..”
“Stop it mom!”Sharon yelled and her mother stared at her
“Why are you so obsessed about me leaving, you said some thing about making a vow not to ever step into the palace, does that have to do with why you want me to leave with you,why you don’t want me to stay?”Sharon asked and Suzanne avoided her eyes before starring at her again.
“It’s some thing that happened years ago, your father was still alive then and….it doesn’t matter, it’s all in the past, please just listen to me and let’s leave, I beg you?”Suzanne said
“Then that will be taking her back into danger”Louis said by the door way and Suzanne gasp when she realised that some one had been listening to their conversation.
“You can’t take her away from the palace because it’s the safest place for her right now”He said
“Safest?I don’t think so, the palace is full of evil people and I won’t let my daughter line amongst them, I should have known that you along with your grand ma wouldn’t fulfil your promise, I should have never allowed her to marry you, you will only be causing her pain in the end”Suzanne said starring at Louis .
“You are wrong on that Suzanne, I might not be your favourite person right now but I sure know that Sharon won’t be suffering at my side and as for the palace having evil people living In it, I will certainly confirm that, i have to bear that throu-ghmy life and I will tell you once again that I will not let any thing happen to Sharon, I will always protect her”Louis said trying to as-sure Suzanne but she still wouldn’t give in.
“I don’t want her here? I just don’t want my daughter here”She said
“You have no choice Suzanne, Sharon is now my wife and I won’t let you take her away”He said
“You!….”
“Didn’t I tell you not to talk to Louis that way! Even if he is some one you don’t favour,it doesn’t mean that you should talk to him in that manner, he is the crown prince and so is your daughter”Gladys said as she walked into the room catching them unaware.
“This is none of your business Glady’s, this is a matter between me and ….”
“Louis leave, take Sharon with you, i nee-d to have a private word with Suzanne here”she said as she stared at Suzanne
As soon as the young ones left the room, Gladys glared at Suzanne who did the same thing.
“How dare you! I told you never to come back to the palace”Gladys said
“I know and believe me when I say that I would rather be some where else with my daughter than to be here, this place gives me bad memories as it is”Suzanne replied
“This is your fault, I told you not to come back, I had helped you in the past only hoping that you would never show us your face again but as it turns out, you just had to come back and ruin every thing !”Gladys said
“It was my husband last wish, his wish that I bring Sharon back to where he was born and raised and I did just that,how was I to know that your grand son will make things worse by marking her as his!”Suzanne said
“It definitely isn’t Louis fault,if only you had stayed at the city, they would never have met, he already marked some thing you escaped from, your daughter was unable to do that and now she has to live with Louis and we both know how things will end if those two fall for each other”Gladys said and Suzanne stared at her in dismay.
