Bianca called me that night but I informed her that I will come back within the week, she can’t wait to see me.
I returned and met Sonia sitting on the cushion in the sitting room with her legs crossed.

“What is the meaning of that behavior u displa-yed in the evening?”I asked her with anger but she started crying instead.

I think am closer to Sonia enough to know when she is in nee-d of anything, why will she be hiding her feelings from me? Did she had misun-derstanding with anyone.

“I did the right thing since am not worthy to know what ur plans is all about”she said and threw more confusion to me.

“I don’t get it dear, didn’t I do anything wrong by coming to see u?” I asked trying to be polite.

“I never say so but I am a woman and you are still interested with….”she started crying instead of completing her statement.

“Wait, am sorry if u think that am here to invade ur privacy as a woman, no! I am here because u are my family but don’t be offended because I will be leaving tomorrow morning”I said trying to leave but she held me back.

“U dare not try it Mich! U are going nowhere!”she yelled crying.

The next day, before I could wake up I sighted Michael leaving the gate with his bag. I was more heartbroken than ever, I tried shouting but it seemed like my tears has dried up.
My strength has gone while I pursued him with my eyes and imagination.

“He is gone” I managed to say as Vivian c@m£ out from her room.

“Who is gone?”she asked.

“Michael is gone 😢 and…..”tears couldn’t allowed me to complete my statement.

In my company, I have many strategies of luring guys to my be-d especially those handsome and muscular ones.

I inherited the company from my father late chief Godwin who named the company Godel company lmtd. As the only child of my parents and the daughter of a wealthy my I was, I was spoilt with many goodies and material things one can name.
I clocked 23years and I had no man by my side. I was as humble as anything but still man ever approached me for friendsh!pnor relationsh!p. I really felt for Sonia, she was going throu-gh alot and I don’t know how to help her but to confront Michael.

Why is Michael so myopic to un-derstand that Sonia nee-d him as a lover not a brother anymore?

The week was coming to an end and Sonia haven’t gone to work, Jackson called severally to check what is wrong with her but we always lie to him that she is not well.
It c@m£ to a stage that Jackson c@m£ to our house to check on her, though he believed that Sonia wasn’t well but he don’t know what her problem was. I wasn’t the one that invited him because Sonia warned me earlier that she don’t want him to know our house, he trace our house I guessed.

“Have u gone for medical check-up?”Jackson asked.

“Yeah but the result confirmed that it is only typhoid and malaria”she lied and Jackson believed her.

“So sorry, what u nee-d is proper treatment and enough rest”Jackson advised.

Gosh! We women can lie oh! Did I said “lie”? No, Sonia never lied that she is sick, she is only not suffering from typhoid nor malaria.
Sonia is just emotionally sick.

I woke up the next day which was weekend and saw a miss call from Michael.
“Has Sonia told u what her problem is?”he asked from the other end of the phone.

“U are the reason behind her weird act sir, as am talking to u now Sonia is seriously sick because of u”I said on the phone.

“I don’t un-derstand”he said from the other end of the phone.

“U won’t un-derstand till u call her, pls call Sonia now”I said almost with tears.

“Am coming home”he replied and I bec@m£ more than happy.

“Serious?”I asked with joy.

Good! Michael suppose to come and safe this girl from emotional trauma.

I rushed back to Enugu and met the get open, thank God it was weekend.

Sonia was not outside, it was only Vivian that I met outside washing, she ran and hvgged me so ti-ght.

“Where is she?”I asked with less concern to her hvg and greetings.

“She is……” She was still talking when Sonia c@m£ out folding her arms.

“So u are alive?”she asked with tears.

I ignored her question and drew near her, Sonia must have something bothering her she want to discuss with me. That was my believe, I thought she we be angry with me for misun-derstanding her mood the other day but she proved me wrong and hvg me so warmly.
I felt her heartbeat and her warmth tears 😭 streaming down my back

Still, Michael never un-derstand what Sonia really want, he is just so naive to un-derstand what Sonia was going throu-gh.

That night, I noticed that Sonia that was behaving so ill got herself without any medication. We gisted and joked together before I retired for my endless call with Jackson.
Jackson was the best man in my life, he showed me that all men are not the same. He asked me out and I accepted his proposal immediately because men like him are rare in this evil world.
Michael quited his new job for a reason best known by him alone because he didn’t want to discuss it with anyb©dy not even his sister Sonia.

It was God’s doing that brou-ght Michael back and even f0rç£d him to resign from his job. I was like dancing because of the chances and his clos£ness to me.

I was promoted to the level of as-sistant manager position, my work bec@m£ more heavy and hectic to me everyday.

“C’mon, nothing good comes up easy like that, u have to work ha-rder to maintain that position”Michael advised me one fateful day I c@m£ back almost with my kneels because of fatigue.

“I believe so, guess what……?”I said hiding the files in my hand.

“U know am not good in guessing, just tell me”he said looking so confused.

“U are lucky indeed, that man we submitted ur CV to last week gave me this appointment letter today and my boss also gave me this one for u also.
So, it is now left for u to make a choice”I said and handed the appointment letter to him.
I noticed the unbelievable look in his face, he kept quiet for some seconds before tears broke the silent.

“Which one do u want me to go with?”he asked hvgging me.

“I always feels on t©p of the world anything he asked me to make a choice for him because it makes me feel so priceless ❤️ to him.

“Okay, I think Cotek company but the work is so stressful with lesser salary, so I will go with that of my boss’s own”I chosed.

“U answered and chosed well but I will go with the Cotek company with reason”he replied.

“What reason? Can’t you see that the salary is poor compare with that of my boss?”I protested but he smiled.

“Yes, the salary is poor and more stressful compare with ur boss’s but every good thing comes from a ha-rd work. The job and the position the offered me in Cotek is just what I studied and it will help me in future”he defended wisely.

“So, are u going to take the Cotek company work?”

“Yes if u can permit me”he answered
