I was in pain but Michael’s soft words and talks calmed me a bit.

 

“He R@p£d me?!”I finally disclosed but he smiled mischievously.

 

“He R@p£d u? Who is he?”He asked so unbelievably.

 

“Nathaniel nah”I replied but he lossed his hands from my back.

 

“Nathaniel? How come?

Did he R@p£d u in the bush or where?”He asked so mean.

 

“Hmmm….I….I…no…I..I”I stammered but he interupted me rudely.

 

“St©p that $h!t and speek up before I loss my temper!”he yelled and s£nt shiver all over me.

 

“I went to….”he didn’t allowed me to finish up my statement.

 

“U went to his house right?!”he asked rudely.

 

“Yes but i….”

 

“No but! U received what u bargained for, sorry but am leaving here since am not worth enough to advise u on what to do”he yelled and stood up to leave but i gr@bb£d him back.

 

“Pls don’t leave me! I will die if u leave me here!”I cried and he behaved like he was t©uçhed.

 

“Why are u like this Sonia?”He blamed me but i hvgged him so ti-ght crying.

The did has been done, I had no option than to move on with it, Nathaniel apologized for his act and i forgave him. We continued like friends but i made it clear to him that i won’t be visiting him again and he concurred.

 

Michael remained my adviser, he asked me to let the past be and move on with my life and that was exactly what I did.

 

My niece Vivian was living with me then, Michael has done with his studies and he secured a good job in Enugu state near the university. My niece Vivian knew Michael so well because he visits us often and on, I was defending my project then and that was the only thing that was holding me in the university of Nigeria Nsukka.

 

Vivian later met Nathaniel and we had nice time together, Vivian concluded that Nathaniel was an angel.

Nathaniel bec@m£ a changed person to me, he never st©pped asking me for the forgiveness of what he did at the past, though I let go of it but was still afraid.

Vivian continued pressuring me to pay him a visit till I gave in, I paid Nathaniel a surprise visit only for me to meet another shock of my life.

Nathaniel was in his room p@n-t down with a lady as i barged in, the lady sl@pped me so ha-rd for barging inside the room without their audacity.

I was hurted to the marrow and left the house instead of retaliating. I reached my house and dashed straight to my room and three myself on my be-d hopelessly with tears

Episode 10

 

♡Sonia♡

 

I left his house with heartbroken and went home, my niece was at home cooking when I c@m£ back but i went direct to my room.

She noticed my entrance and c@m£ in my room immediately.

“What’s the problem sister?”She asked as she sat at the edge of the be-d.

 

“He is a s¢v-m”I managed to say before the tears cut me off.

 

“He? Who?”She asked trying to f0rç£ words out of my mouth but my heart was so heavy.

 

“Talk to me nah pls, uncle Michael c@m£ here this evening, he just went out now”she said and I sat up immediately.

 

“Michael?! Where is he?!”I asked so anxiously and bur-sted in tears as i remembered how he has been advising me to stay away from Nathaniel but i couldn’t listen.

 

“He went out to see his colleague, he is the one that f0rç£d me to the kitchen, he likes food die”she explained further but that wasn’t my problem then.

I don’t want Michael to hear that i went to Nathaniel’s house after all that happened to me.

 

“Pls go and face the cooking and leave me alone, did he asked of me when he c@m£?”I asked.

 

“Ofcourse yes, U are the first person he called but I told him that u went out to see a friend of urs”she said.

My heart was bleeding, I have nowhere to take my rest than going to Sonia’s house.

Evelyn knew that I am so emotional but she never care to be careful with my heart. She always tells me that she can’t d@t£ someone who is far from her, I saw it as a joke till she st©pped taking my calls and replying my sms.

I tried finding out what the problem was but ended up hurting myself the more.

“Sorry if I have ever made u feel in love because I never loved u, u are just a friend to me and nothing more”she said on phone.

 

“How do u mean?”I asked but she laughed.

 

“Don’t bother to call my line again because my baby is a jealous lover”she added and hung the call.

I thought she was joking till she s£nt me an sms that i should check all i have spent on her that she is re-ady to pay twice. I saw that as an insult because I wasn’t lacking anything, I am working and doing absolutely good.

I was heartbroken and dejected and left with no option than to meet Sonia who always advises me in times like that. I went there only to meet her abs£nce, am not a drun!kard type, I went out to watch cinema to keep b©dy and soul together.

I c@m£ back and met Sonia crying bitterly in her room, I was baffled…..

Episode 11

I learnt to move on with my life without being in any f–king relationsh!p. Michael made mockery of me and later advised me to stay away from any thing connected to man and woman for the mean time. He spent time with us and was such a nice person to be with, Vivian compliments him always.

My staying with Vivian was so good, Michael got a job for me in a back after my school and that united me and him again. I was working as a cashier in First City Monument Bank (FCMB) but i was living with Vivian who was an accountant in Agricultural Bank. My place was not far from Michael’s and that made us closer than before.

In my working place, there was this guy called Jack very tall and handsome looking guy, he kept disturbing me for a dinner but i refused.

I never knew he will be disturbing me the day I gave him my contact, he kept calling me now and then.

As the as-sistant manager he was, he kept promising to promote me once I accept his proposal but how will I know if he is different from others?

I kept turning him down, though I was beginning to have feelings for him but i kept that for myself. He surprises me with my gifts which i never accept one, he later made it clear to me that he won’t give up till I accept his proposal but i vividly told him that i won’t accept him.

At a point, I bec@m£ afraid of lossing my job because of his request, I cooked up lies and told him that am engaged.

That made him to gave up on me, I started having rest of mind in my place of work, he never used it against me.

 

♡Vivian♡

 

I was coming back from work one fateful evening when a car blocked me, I peeped throu-gh the car window but i don’t know the guy.

 

“Can I give u lift?”the guy asked, I looked at my back but nob©dy was there.

 

“Are u reffering to me?” I asked him.

 

“Yeah”

 

“Sorry, am almost home”I replied trying to leave but he held me back.

 

“It doesn’t matter, let me take u home”he insisted.

 

“Thank u but no thanks, I don’t nee-d ur lift”I replied and left.

 

The guy never gave up, he continued pestering my life, he has known the exact time i closes work, I don’t know if he has nothing doing.

My answer remain the same till I narrated the whole thing to Sonia who advised me to give him little chance to know his ambitions. I found it so ha-rd but decided to give it a trial before concluding that all men are the same.

Episode 13

I had such an inner joy that i haven’t seen before when Michael c@m£ back, I always feel complete being with him.

We joked together before I dashed to the kitchen to bring his food for him. I was coming out from the kitchen when I overheard him (Michael) answering call and something got my attention.

 

“I miss u too but let’s keep it in a low key pls”that was what Michael said that got my attention.

He was laughing as he was answering the call, I hide and eavesdropped to hear what he was saying but the more I listen is the more I get hurt.

“I wanted to come back next week but i will come back this weekend”he added on phone, I couldn’t control myself anymore, I managed to drop the food on the table before him.

 

“Wait, I will call u back, Sonia what is wrong?”He asked as he noticed my mood.

 

“Am..Am…don’t worry”I managed to say before I rushed out with tears.

 

“Hah!” He heaved and started eating.

My heart was shattered and pierced into pieces as i c@m£ out and put call to Vivian.

 

“Pls where are u now? I want to come there”I asked on phone as i called Vivian.

 

“Sonia! Hope all is well?

Am at Five stars restaurant and bar”she replied from the other end of the phone.

 

“I will explain to u when I come there” I replied and hung up the call.

 

I took cab to the destination, I sighted Vivian with a guy sitting closer at the end of the restaurant bar discussing de-eply.

 

“Hey! Am here”I said to draw their attention.

 

“Hey pretty…..”the guy was still talking when my eyes and his cut each other and we chuckled.

I couldn’t believe that Vivian is with the same Jack I am planning to accept his friendsh!p.

 

I smartly dragged Vivian out from the table and just waved plea-sant to Jack.

“Why are u looking at him that way, and why are both of u behaving weired once u see each other?” She asked so restless.

 

“Pls spare me that your questions, are u telling me that u know Jack?”I asked.

 

“Yeah, his name is Jackson not Jack.

Do u know him before?”She asked with concern.

 

“Yes but forget that, Michael is back and he is now d@t!nga lady”I said p@n-ting like a hunting dog

 

“He is d@t!ngand so?”She asked.

 

“U won’t un-derstand, he is promising the girl that he will be back so soon”I added but Vivian wasn’t moved.

 

“Hmm, sorry I don’t know what U are talking about but is like u like Michael right?” She asked smiling but i didn’t find it funny at all.

Episode 14

What is happening, does it mean that Sonia has something that is bothering her but she don’t want to discuss it with me?

She was looking so dejected as she left the dinning, I tried to ascertain what the problem was but she walked out claiming to be okay.

I knew that she wasn’t alright but hoping that she will come back to tell me what the problem was.

I finished eating still not seen her, I bec@m£ worried and confused, I called her number but she didn’t picked.

 

I was there to have an indoor celebr@tion of my success with them but I couldn’t see any of them, can I call it a conspiracy or what.

I called Vivian and she picked hers.

 

“Hy uncle, are u back?” She asked.

 

“Yes, where are u?” I asked with much worried look.

 

“Hmmm…I will tell u when am back, hope u are at home?” She said laughing happily.

 

“Listen, I don’t think u will meet me at home because am confuse here, where is Sonia I met here?” I asked with half yell.

 

“Hah… She is here with me nah…

Sonia don’t u tell him before leaving?” That was what I heard from the other end of the phone.

 

“It’s fine, don’t worry”I said and hung the call.

 

I don’t think I did anything wrong in coming to celebr@te my promotion with the people I take as my family. That ruined my mood and I was left with no choice but to go out and watch football match.

I heard everything Michael discussed with Vivian, we were alre-ady done with the shopping then, Jack was confused and I was just pretending to be happy just to cover up my hurts.

 

“So, what happened and why did u left Michael at home all alone Sonia?” Vivian asked as we c@m£ back home.

 

“He is d@t!nganother lady”I answered.

 

“I don’t get it, do u want to d@t£ him or want him to remain single forever?”she asked me with much mean.

 

“I think am done with this conversation pls, just help me and look for him” I said sitting restlessly.

 

“I can’t because am stressed out this evening, am going to refresh and sleep now”he said and left.

Someone is in love here but seems afraid to say her mind out, Sonia has been behaving so weird all these while and am beginning to un-derstand that she love Michael.

 

She never cease calling him on phone all those times he went for his job, she nearly died within three days Michael’s number was not reachable.

I called it brotherly love but it has surpas-sed it this time.

 

I was in my room when I started hearing their voice downstairs
