Betty Evelyn and Freddy just got back to the mansion, Evelyn kept crying throu-ghout so she went straight to her room and Freddy followed her
Betty and Regina on the other hand, sat on the couch
“Yunno I really feel for her” Regina started with a cute pout
“Me too, if not for her, that woman could have killed me” Betty said and then sighed
“I think I nee-d to find a lawyer to defend her case, cause in that situation it was a win win, it’s either we die or she dies” Betty added
“Yeah but it does not concern Jasmine, Jasmine killed her for personal anger and reason, it was not an act of defense at all” Regina said
“I know but with the kind of woman Clarie is, she does not deserve justice” Betty said and Regina sighed
“Justin” Betty called, Justin c@mĀ£ in a straight face as usual
“You should get us a good lawyer, we nee-d to defend Jasmine case, she can’t stay there for the rest of her life” Betty ordered
Justin raised his brows at her but still nodded anyways
Evelyn c@mĀ£ down with Freddy, she had alre-ady calm down by now
“Evelyn good news” Regina said
“What?” Evelyn asked coming towards her
“Betty said she’ll hire a lawyer to defend your sister so she won’t have to die there anymore” Regina smiled
“Really” Evelyn asked in surprise
“Yes” Betty smiled
“Thank you so much, thank you ion know how I’ll ever repay you” Evelyn rushed to hvg Betty ti-ght
“Repay me by leaving my brother” Betty said in a serious voice
Event pu-ll-ed away immediately. “What!?” Both her and Freddy screamed
“Your sister or my brother, choose one” Betty asked seriously
“I.. i-
But then Betty and Regina bellowed into laughter
“Just look at the expression in her face, oh my” Betty laughed
“Sis it’s not funny, my heart almost jumped out of its rig cage” Freddy frowned
“We were messing with you two, repay me by ma-king my brother really happy” Betty said
“Then consider it done” Evelyn smiled
Suddenly Betty phone started ringing
“Unknown number” she said lowly
“Answer it, maybe it’s more good news” Freddy said and Betty picked the call
“Is this Mr Davis girlfriend?” The person asked
“Umm, Is there any problem?” Betty asked, she didn’t know why her heart was beating fast
“Yes, your bĀ©yfriĀ£ndgot into a fatal car accident, now he’s rushed to Winston’s hospital”
The phone fell from Betty’s hand and she stumbled backwards
“What’s wrong” they all moved to her but she didn’t answer
“Justin” she yelled
Justin c@mĀ£ rushing to them
“Drive me to Winston’s hospital ASAP” she said
“Why any problem?” Justin asked
“Nathan got into an accident” Betty cried rushing downstairs
“What?” Regina screamed and followed
“Come on” Freddy gr@bbĀ£d Evelyn and they all rushed out

WINSTON HOSPITAL***
Betty was running like a mad woman to Nathan’s ward, when she got there she almost fall if not she hold the wall for support
Nathan bĀ©dy was bandaged with different wires, his cloth still have blood stains and he was struggling to breathe throu-gh the oxygen mask
Nurses were rushing to attend to him as his monitor was beeping really fast
“Nathan” Betty yelled in tears
“I’m sorry miss but you can’t be here” a nurse tried pushing Betty out, but she didn’t listen, she kept crying and trying to f0rƧĀ£ herself in
“Get the CPR” doctor Winston ordered and a nurse rushed to get it for him
They switched on the machine and doctor Winston placed it on Nathan’s che-st. He pushed it de-ep but no response, second time still nothing
Betty was now crying rely ha-rd
“Increase” he ordered
The nurses increase the machine to the highest level and he tried again but still nothing. The monitor was now beeping extra fast and the lines were alre-ady turning straight
“Move” Betty yelled in tears, she collected the CPR from the doctor and tried again
“Nathan plea-se don’t do this to me, plea-se wake up plea-se” she cried ha-rd as she pushed the CPR de-ep in his che-st
The wavy lines all turned straight and the monitor stĀ©pped beeping
“Miss” doctor Winston tried talking to her but she kept on pushing the CPR de-ep in his che-st
“plea-se wake up Nathan, don’t leave okay I lied, I said if you die I wouldn’t care less but it was a lie,I care plea-se don’t go yet” Betty cried still pushing the CPR on his che-st
“I’ve longed forgiven you, I was just angry Nathan wake up” she cried
“d@tĀ£ of death-
“Shut up” Betty yelled at doctor Winston before he could finish
“Ma’am his gone, I’m sorry for your-
“Don’t you dare finish that statement, his not dead no” Betty cried ha-rd
“I’m so sorry ma’am, I think we should leave her alone” doctor Winston said and left the ward
“Nathan no” Betty yelled out in tears
Regina and Evelyn was alre-ady crying, a tears drop rolled from Justin eyes
“He’s dead” Freddy muttered sadly as tears were rolling down his cheeks
“Nathan you promised you’ll stay, if you die now then what about your unborn child, plea-se wake up” Betty kept shaking him but it was useless
Justin moved forward and gr@bbĀ£d her away from him
“He’s gone, crying can’t bring him back” Justin said ha-rd ly
“Nathan I’m sorry it’s all my fault, I caused this, I caused all of these” she cried and fell on her knees
“I killed him I’m a murderer, I’m a murderer” she cried uncontrollably, Freddy rushed to hvg his sister ti-ght from the floor
The nurses c@mĀ£ back with a white clothe
“Nathan” Betty yelled in tears as they were covering him before her very eyes
Betty sat on the floor like a hopeless person and could only just cry as they covered the man she loved with the white clothe from head to toe
“Nathan” she crawled to hold his hand, when they were dragging him out with the stretcher
“I won’t believe this, I refuse to believe this” she yelled and then stood up
“Betty” Regina yelled
Betty rushed to the machine and the wire, she connected it back on
“Betty” Freddy yelled thinking she has gone crazy but she chased the nurse out and rolled the stretcher back to its position
She rolled down the cloth and resumed again with the CPR
“Betty stĀ©p” Regina cried but Betty didn’t listen
“Betty just leave it” Evelyn yelled but Betty didn’t listen
When she was not getting any responses she began beating him with the CPR and crying ha-rd
“Someone pu-ll her out of there” doctor Winston said
Nurses rushed to gr-ab Betty but she began hitting them too
“He’s not dead, won’t die, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” she screamed like a mad woman
One last push with the CPR, the monitor made a small sound
Everyone g@sped including the doctor, Betty pushed it again and Nathan’s f!nger twitched a little and the computer started beeping
“Unbelievable” doctor Winston mouthed
Betty used all her strength this time and Nathan jĀ£rked up from the be-d and the monitor made a very long beep sound then slowly he fell down back but the monitor never stĀ©pped beeping
A small smile appeared on doctor Winston face
“It’s a miracle, he survived” he said
The CPR fell from Betty’s eyes, she stared at Nathan for a while before slowly losing consciousness

Betty slowly opened her eyes and what welcomed her was the strong smell if hospitals
She sat up and looked left and right, Regina and Gwyneth were talking as they entered the ward
“Looks she’s awake” Gwyneth pointed at Betty and they both ran to her
“Regina” Betty called
“Yes it’s me sweetie, tell me”
“Nathan, where is he?” She asked
Regina smiled. “Nathan is out of danger but he just nee-ds to wake up, doctor Winston said that it would take a lot of time since he would be un-dergoing a de-ep painful surgery” Regina said
“Can I see him?” Betty asked with teary eyes
“Do you nee-d my permission?, Get out of that be-d and don’t stress yourself remember you still have a baby right?” Gwyneth spoke
Betty nodded and Regina helped her up, they both went to Nathan’s ward
Nathan was lying on the hospital be-d with his eyes closed and the monitor beeping slowly
“When will he un-dergo the surgery?” Betty asked, looking at him
“Tomorrow, according to the doctor” Gwyneth replied
Betty moved to Nathan and took his hand
“I trust you, you’ll make it for me and our baby, I’ll also stay strong for you” she smiled

NEXT DAY**
Nathan was carried to the operating room as the surgery was about to begin,Betty sat down as she watched the nurses moved in straight line with doctor Winston leading them
Betty took out a picture of holy Mary and was praying silently
“Betty plea-se eat something” Cindy said, coming with a tray of food from behind
“I won’t eat till I hear good news about his surgery” Betty replied weakly
“You’re stressing your baby” Orchid, doctor Winston’s wife said from behind, she was presĀ£nt this time around
“I’m fine” Betty sounded determined
“Once she’s determined, she means it” Cindy said to Orchid
“She’s pregnant and she’s going throu-gh a lot, I’m eight months pregnant and my husband still spoils me a lot” Orchid said, ru-bbing her hvge baby bu-mp
“I wish everything goes smooth again” Cindy said with a weak smile
“Everything will just put faith in God and God only” Orchid smiled
Soon darkness took over the bright sky, doctor Winston c@mĀ£ out of the surgery room,he re-moved his nose mask and gloves
“Miss Betty Shane” he called
Betty rose up, staring at him
“Your prayer has been answered, the operation went smooth but you’ll have to wait for him to wake up, it’ll take a lot of time, can you be patient enough?” He asked
“Of course,can I see him now?” She asked
“Sure but first eat something, I’ll tell the nurse to get you-
“Pasta and meatba-lls?” She cut him off
Winston just smiled and nodded before moving to Orchid
“Hun” he k!$$Ā£d herl-ips swiftly and hvgged her
Betty was watching from behind with a sad smile on her face, both Nathan and her were once like that
“I hope everything turns back to normal” she thought as she headed for Nathan’s room

Some days after that, they were all in the court room for Jasmine case, servals lawyers defended cases both from Jasmine and Clarie’s side
And at the end Jasmine won, she was given a national pardon, she would stay three more years before she’s out
Nathan on the other hand is still unconscious, Betty would come to visit him often sometimes she would tell him story about her pregnancy, how far it has gone, she would tell him about the company not caring if he could hear her or not
Weeks past Freddy and Evelyn vacation was over so they went back to school, now months upon months past Betty baby bu-mp was now extremely big but still Nathan haven’t woken up yet. This was taking more time than she had expect

Regina is sitting on her be-d and p@n-ting her nails while Gwyneth won’t stĀ©p pacing up and down angrily
“Why just why, am I not pretty enough?” Gwyneth asked for the umpeeth time
“Yes you are” Regina sighed
“Then why, tell me why he’s different seriously it’s annoying” Gwyneth huffed
“Because he hate you” Regina replied cutely, moving her eye ba-lls left and right
“Whatever, whether he hates me or not, ion care” Gwyneth rolled her eyes
“Okay calm down Wendy” Regina said as she jumped down from the be-d, her phone beeped and it was from Evan
“Your boo” Gwyneth let out a teasing smile as she was peeking at Regina’s phone which was on a stool
“Gimme that” Regina collected her phone, re-ading the text, she giggled and typed hers
Gwyneth looked at how Regina was behaving and smiled, she recalled how Xavier was diss her and smile with other girls
“Could he really hate me” she couldn’t help but think
Actually the truth was that she had a secret crush on Xavier but doesn’t really show it but it’s only Regina that knows about this but Regina isn’t even helping matter
“Gwen guess what, Cindy and Charles are back together” Regina squeeled
“The CC, lemme see their lastest pic” Gwyneth rushed to gr-ab Regina’s phone
The two of them were now checking it when they heard Betty screamed from her room
“Betty” they both chorused and ran to her room, they meet her holding her stomach and trying to stand
“Justin” Gwyneth screamed and Regina rushed to carry Betty
“What!” Justin rushed in
“She’s about to give birth” Regina said as they were both jumping like babies
“fvĀ¢k” Justin cursed and helped carry Betty to the car
The driver drove them straight to Winston hospital

Cindy, Regina, Gwyneth, Xavier, Charles and Justin went to see Betty in her ward after some time
Betty had given birth to a cute baby boy, she was smiling and humming softly to the alre-ady slee-ping baby
“Awwn he c@mĀ£ out” Regina gushed happily
“Can I hold him” Cindy asked, taking close steps to the baby
Betty smiled weakly as she watched her whole friends admiring the baby, truly she was happy but more sad cause Nathan still hasn’t woken up yet
