THE NEXT DAY.
Clark woke up with a headache.
“Shit!” He cursed himself remembering the other night.
He stood from the bed dragging himself to the bathroom Ivy wasn’t in the room anymore.
“Good morning Clark” Ivy smiles at him as he came outside dressed for work.
“Morning Ivy…how was your night?” He asked and she kept quiet.
“Forget I asked that”
“How are you feeling now?”
“Better…let’s go”
“I made some tea and bread”
“I’m not hungry” he said going outside Ivy took her bag and follow him.
MERCURY’S APARTMENT.
“Wake up sleepy head”
“What…we have no appointments today…you said I should cancel all” Carly groaned.
“Yes I asked you to cancel all cause I’ve got a more important one…now stand up and get dressed we have to see kings and the rest”
“What? Cutie?” She sprang up.
KINGS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY.
“Good morning Mr kings” Mercury smiles.
“Hiii” candy grins.
“Who let you in?” Kings asked coldly.
“I missed you Kings”
“Can you please leave I’m busy right here”
“I never wanted to leave also…I tried stopping it but it was useless…it wasn’t under my control…I was gonna tell you all that day but then…I saw Clark kissing Carly and got all angry…I couldn’t say it anymore…”
“You should have just called…even once…I treated you like my family Mercury you were more than just a friend to me…you and Carly…you both were my sisters but…you left just like that and now you come back after six years thinking I’ll take you back (scoffs) in your dreams Miss MJ”
“My parents took my phone away from me…there was no way to reach you guys…I just hoped and prayed Olive explains things to you guys…I know you’re angry but can you just hear me out”
MORGAN’S AUTOMOBILE.
In a meeting with the strategy team.
“So…that’s your plan?”
“So far sir” Israel replied.
“Ivy what do you think?”
“I think it’s okay…and thorough let’s go with it”
“Alright…you guys did well…approved” Clark said and they all smiles.
“And the model?” He asked.
“Since this is a really big project…we were thinking of using something unique…what no one has used…so we thought and look through all the models and chose just a perfect person for it”
“Who?”
“MJ Sir”
“MJ?”
“Yeah…think about it…she just came back from Italy if we could get her to model for us it’d be such a big hit…we would be the first to sign her on getting here and she’s such a big shot…a perfect model for us Sir”
“Who came up with this idea?”
“I Sir..?” Jem smiles.
“Find someone else within 24 hours or you’ll lose your job” he said standing up.
“Sir…but it’s…ma’am Ivy..?”
“Anyone but her Jem…she’s a big no” she smiles before leaving also.
“What’s wrong with picking MJ? She’s the best”
“Our boss is weird”
“Hey don’t you guys know MJ ditched him before going to Italy six years ago…?”
“What?”
“You mean she broke our boss’ heart?”
“You should have said so earlier…I wouldn’t have choosen her…?”
“What a pity she’s such a perfect catch”
“If I lose my job it’ll be on you”
CLARK’S OFFICE.
“She wouldn’t let me be even in my company now!” Clark said angrily taking his sit.
“I made you some tea” Ivy dropped the tea on the table and he took it.
“You’re meeting up with the guys tomorrow”
“Right…the ritual”
“Whose turn is it?”
“Olive”
“Olive?”
Before meeting kings Mercury had went to Danny and had explained everything to him.
Luckily Danny forgave her without any struggle and she really had a hard time earning Kings forgiveness.
But she’s happy she’s finally back with her friends her only problem now is Clark.
How is she gonna get him forgive her?
Clark was working in his laptop when he got a message.
????since the newlyweds aren’t around we have to reschedule the location tomorrow ????Danny texts on the group chat.

Danny added Mercury to the group chat.

NEXT DAY AT EVENING.
Candy keep Elongating her neck waiting for the guys to arrive.
“What are you doing outside here candy come in”
“Leave me Mec I’m waiting for my cutie”
“Look they aren’t_” she stops when a spot blue car driving in roughly.
Candy stares intensely and Kings came out.
Candy almost fainted.
He removed his glasses and smiles at them.
“Hold me Mec…I’m dying” candy said.
Just then a motorcycle drove in also.
Their attention shift to it.
Danny came down removing the helmet from his head.
Candy watch closely not blinking her eyes.
Danny looks at them smiles showing off his cute dimples and wave.
“Oh murder me” candy literally fainted.
“Hey buddy” Danny greeted Kings and they both walk to the girls.
“Hey Mec…hi pretty” Danny winks and candy smiles arranging her hair.
“Hi…?”
*I’m glad you guys are here…come in” Mec said and they all went in.
AFTER SOME WHILE.
“Ugh! It’s seems he isn’t coming after all” Mercury sighs..
“Give him some time…he needs time”
“You’re so cute” candy smiles at Kings who hasn’t said anything
“I’m cute also” Danny said to her.
“But he’s cuter”
“I’m cutest” Danny replied.
“Whatever….?”
“Guys”
They heard and all looked back.
Leo walks to them and they both pretended not to see him.
“You won’t talk to me?” He asked taking a sit.
“You gat alcohol here?” Danny asked ignoring him.
“Oh yes we do” candy sprang up
“I think I want some also” kings follows her.
“Why are you here? You aren’t invited” Danny said in a cold voice.
*Danny…listen ”
“Forget it…I don’t wanna listen to your bullshit” candy and Kings came back with the drinks and Danny was the first to drink.
Candy stares.
“How sexy…?”
OUTSIDE.
“Where is this?” Clark asked Ivy who had came to his house earlier and forced him out.
“Mercury’s house”
“What?! Are you crazy? Why bring me here?”
“Clark listen this may be for the better…you can’t keep running away like a coward you have to show her now…that you aren’t the same weak helpless guy she left six years ago”
Clark look at her with confusion.
“Just trust me Clark…you have to put her in her place”
After awhile Ivy and Clark walked in.
Mercury stood up immediately.
Her happiness knew no bounds.
He came after all…that means there’s still chance of making up.
“Clark…you’re here” she smiles.
Clark ignored her and took a sit beside Danny.
“Hi Miss MJ” Ivy smiles at her.
“Hi…just call me Mercury”
“I prefer Miss MJ” she took her sit.
“I’m glad you made it buddy” Danny said to Clark.
“And I hope not to regret coming” he replied.
“I’m really glad you’re all here today…it’s feels as if we’re just in high school” Mercury grins and Clark scoffs.
“So Mercury this is how we meet up every weekend…we catch fun gists and reminisce about the old days…it’s also a way of releasing our stress of the whole week” Danny said to her and she smiles.
“I really missed a lot” Mercury said.
“Not only you” Leo also chipped in.
“This isn’t getting any fun” Clark scoffs where he sat.
“Um….where should we start from?” Mercury asked.
“Why don’t you just tell us…everything that happened six years ago…how your life have been in Paris and so on” Kings said.
“Okay…actually it was on the day of the funeral my parents told me about leaving…it was sudden that I felt so helpless…I wanted to tell you all though Olive found out first…but then…I couldn’t cause of some circumstances…we left to Paris and months later Leo came also…so we went to school together and did practically everything before I met candy here” she said and candy waves.
“So…you didn’t call for once but you two wouldn’t stop posting your pictures on internet…you looked really happy” Danny said.
“Pictures? What do you mean? My phone was collected from me and I wasn’t allowed to make calls or do anything at least for the first three years…that’s why I was unable to contact you guys” she replied.
“I posted the pictures” Leo said.
“So you knew nothing about it?” Kings asked.
She shakes her head.
“How long have you two being a thing now?” Danny asked.
“A year now…” She replied.
Clark kept quiet throughout as they asked her the questions.
“You guys must love each other a lot…from close friends to lovers…the bond is unbreakable” Ivy said.
Leo held Mercury’s hand and smiles.
“Yeah you’re right…our relationship is unique so people say” he smiles at Mercury and she reluctantly smiles back.
Clark scoffs looking away and Ivy held his hand.
“Hey guys…let’s drink up to this awesome reunion of awesome friends” candy said filling up their glasses.
“For Mercury’s and Leo’s returning…and uniting with you guys…cheers!” She raised up her glass and they did also.
“Cheers” they clink their glasses.
“Cheers cutie” candy smiles at Kings and they clink their glasses.
They all drank up except Clark.
“You can drink…I’ll drive” Ivy said to him.
“Forget it…I don’t feel like drinking” he dropped the drink on the table.
“But Leo how come you didn’t tell us you guys were dating…at least we talk almost everytime on phone” kings asked.
“Cause I wanted to surprise you with something bigger”
“Something bigger?”
“I proposed to her”
“You’re getting married?!” Danny asked shocked and not only him was Mercury and the guys were also shocked to hear him say that.
Mercury looks at Clark who also has that shocked expression.
“Though she hasn’t answered yet…but I’m hoping for the best” he smiles at her and she only gulp down her drink pouring another.
Everyone went silent gulping their various drinks maybe lost in their thoughts also.
“You two are getting married…congratulations you’re a perfect match” Ivy said.
“Thanks Ivy” Leo replied.
“Excuse me for a min…?” Mercury stood up.
“Hey are you okay?” Candy asked.
“I’m fine…I’ll be back” she said going out.
She’s already feeling tipsy from the drink.
She went outside taking a stroll.
She really didn’t expect Leo to say that…she feels like he just ruined everything she’s trying to make up.
Clark stood up also going out.
Leo wanted to follow but Danny stop him.
“Give them space…they need to talk” reluctantly he sat down.
Mercury sighs breathing in the air.
“So this is it…you’re getting married?” She heard Clark’s voice and turned.
“Clark…?”
“That means your wedding is next…should I congratulate you…congrats”
“Can we talk about something else? Six years ago_”
“Don’t even bring that up? Even if someone was ever gonna betray me…I never expected it to be you. Or maybe I trusted you too much? I let my guard down forgetting no one is to be trusted. because I liked you…I trusted you…I needed you and I believed you…but in the end you left just like that…and now you came back and what? You’re getting married? Why? do you want my blessings? I’m ain’t giving you that Mercury. You and Leo can get married but…I hope you two get no happiness…I hope you feel the same pain I felt all through the years…ten times” he said with a painful expression and turns leaving.
Mercury’s head hurts as it seems the alcohol has started having effects on her.
Clark shouting on her like this wouldn’t help either.
Ever since she came back she haven’t gotten any rest and had been stressed out lately.
Everything is battling with her but she needs to settle this…why is he being unnecessary stubborn?
And Leo has even made matter worse for her.
“Clark please wait…?” She made to follow him but her head started spinning.
Her sight became blurry and she eventually missed her steps falling into the pool.
A sudden splash was heard and Clark looks back.
She was nowhere to be found.
“MERCURY!” he shouted running to the pool.
He dive inside and brought her out placing her gently on the bare floor.
“Hey! Wake up…Mercury!” He slaps her cheeks gently but she wouldn’t budge.
“It’s not funny…stop playing pranks and get up now…I’m..I’m leaving…?” He got no response.
Hope it isn’t what his thinking.
His heartbeat accelerated
He leans closer to her and place his ear on her chest.
“Is…she…?” He started shaking as he just sat there
“URANUS!” Leo yelled running to her.
He pushed Clark who just kneeled beside her in a daze making him hit his butt on the floor just staring at the unconscious Mercury.
Leo performed CPR and at the fifth attempt she coughs out water.
“Ura…?” Leo carried her in bridal style out of there and she clutch unto him.
Clark only stares.
“Clark you okay?” Ivy asked squatting beside him.
“Let’s…go home Ivy…?” He said and she nodded helping him up.
Mercury went to take her shower and Leo excused her.
“We’re gonna take our leave now…send our regards to her” kings said and Leo nodded.
“I’ll see you guys out” candy grins and follow them out.
“See you tomorrow buddy…?” Kings gave Danny a side hug.
“Night” he said to candy and entered his car.
“Oh myyyy…he’s damn cuteeee” candy cooled as he drove off.
“I’m leaving also” Danny faced her.
“Um…byeee” she smiles.
Danny smirks and kissed her forehead abruptly.
“Bye” he wore his helmet and also drove out of there.
Candy slapped her reddened cheeks.
“This guys are making me go gaga…I love this country!”
By the time Leo went back to Mercury’s room, she had already lay on the bed cuddling her duvet to herself.
She hears the door opens and pretended to be asleep.
He sat on the bed and sighs.
Candy came in.
“How’s she?” She asked.
Leo only stood up and kissed her forehead.
“Take care of her” he said to candy .
She nods and he left the room.
Candy closed the door behind her and went to Mercury on the bed.
Folding her arms she sighs.
“Get up…let’s talk”
Mercury sat up reluctantly and candy sat on the bed with her.
“I’m sure you must have thought everything over…so what’s your answer? What do you really wanna do?” Candy asked.
“I want him back candy” she replied.
“I don’t wanna marry Leo…I don’t wanna continue dating him either…I just…want him back”
“Are sure about this?” Candy asked and she nodded.
“You’re aren’t gonna regret it?” She asked again and she nodded.
“Once you do this no backing out…have you thought about it deeply?”
“I’ve always thought about it. I just didn’t have the courage to do so”
“You really want this?” Candy asked and she nodded.
Candy draw her closer to herself.
“I won’t stop you anymore now Mec…follow your heart. If that’s what makes you happy then go for it. You deserve to be happy also…sure it won’t be easy…but I promise to be always here with you” she said stroking her hair.
“Thank you Cand…for understanding”
“You know I think I’m kinda be in the same situation…but mine is more complicated cause I don’t know whom to choose…but for now I’ll just go with the flow…wherever it leads me…I’ll accept it”
“I’ll go see him tomorrow”.
“Do whatever you want…?”
CLARK’S MANSION.
“I’ll run the bath for you” Ivy said going to the room but Clark held her back.
“No need…I wanna be alone” he said.
“Alright…I’ll be down here…call me when you need anything”
“No…you can go home…I’ll take care of myself”
“Clark…?” She sighs.
“Okay…I’ll come back tomorrow then…take care I’ll call you when I get home” she turns leaving.
“I’m sorry…?” Clark said and she turned back.
“Yesterday…I’m sorry for trying to take advantage of you…forgive me Ivy”
“It’s okay…nothing happened anyway…bye” she said and turns leaving with an empty heart.
Ever since she met Clark at college six years ago she has felt always something for him.
Initially she only saw him as a fussy arrogant rude guy but as she spent time with him she finds herself growing fond of him and before she knew it.
She fell hard for him.
However Clark has always seen her as just a friend…co worker and a sister which she really hates.
She has vowed to herself to heal the wound Mercury has caused him and fill his heart of her love but ever since Mercury came back her chance seems to be draining.
The fact that Clark touch her gave her hope that he’s attracted to her but then he stopped midway leaving her hopeless.
She was ready to give herself to him but he declined.
She felt stupid.
She felt hurt.
She felt crushed.
All she ever wanted was his love…just like she has showed him all these years.
But he couldn’t even give her that.
Does he even know she loves him that much?
