AT THE HOSPITAL.
“DRUGS!” They all said together.
“There’s no way doc…are you sure it ain’t a wrong diagnosis? Carly will never do such a thing” Mercury said.
“Yes…doctor there’s no way that can be possible..please make sure”
“I’m sure of what I’m saying…for now we’ve flushed it down her system…her body isn’t to it so I assumed it’s probably her first and thank goodness it wasn’t much…right now she’s going through a mental breakdown and needs a lot of rest and also someone by her side…I hope you guys could do that?”
He said and they all keep quite…probably lost in their thoughts.
“I’ll go now”
“Thank you doc…?” Danny said and he nodded before leaving.
“There’s no way Carly would do such a thing…I know her she can’t do that” Mercury said shaking her head.
“Don’t worry we’re gonna get to the bottom of this…let’s go see her first” Clark said and they all head to her ward.
CARLY’S WARD.
Carly Sat on the bed her hands covering both her ears as she fidgets on the bed.
“No…no…?” She murmurs continuously shaking her head.
They all came in and she became alerted.
“Carly you’re awake” Mercury said moving closer to her.
“Don’t!…no…don’t come closer…leave me alone…leave me alone!”
“Carly?”
“Please…please…just leave me alone now…don’t come….please I beg you…no”
“Carly it’s me Mercury…?”

“I think you should stay back” Leo held her back as her eyes waters.

NEXT DAY.
On opening her eyes, only one thing comes to her mind.
She looks at the time.
“Oh shit I’m late!” She rushed to the bathroom.
MAJESTIC HIGH.
The door to the classroom opens and every eyes turned to it.
She came in slowly and went straight to the teacher.
“Good morning Mr Paul” she greeted.
“I’m sorry I’m late I…?”..
“Go take your sit” he said calmly and she nodded going to her sit.
Her eyes caught with Mercury and she smiles.
Mercury smiles back.
Mia glared at her and she pretended not to see her.
Minutes later the door opens again but this time it was a man and a woman dressed in uniform.
“Hi…we’re the police we’re here to meet Miss Mia”
Mia heart skipped a beat where she was sitted.
She needed no soothsayer to tell her they are here to take her for what she did and it’s the COLD’S doings.
She thought she was lucky she wasn’t called for a disciplinary meeting but this was coming after all.
“Over there” the teacher pointed to Mia.
“Miss Mia…we’re here to invite you to our station to ask some questions about some missing drugs” the police officer said.
“I…I didn’t take it…why are you taking me? …she was the one who took the drugs…investigate her…she’s taking drugs!” She said pointing to Carly.
“Let’s go” the police forced her out of the class.
“Let me go! I did nothing…let me go right now!”
“Alright class continue your papers…time is running out…Carly when you’re done follow ne to the office”
“Yes sir” she smiles.

“Ugh! This feels so good”
“Right?” Carly smiles.
“Finally everything is over…I’m so over the moon” Mercury chuckles.

“Of course you should be…you’ve been through a lot…you did a great job Carly”

Ever since they finished their exams they’ve all been hanging out lately.
Luckily for Carly, the teacher let her do the exams she missed.
Mia was convicted and she has to spend a year in prison.
Both families Morgan and Jordan have also been making arrangement for their wedding.
Though Mercury and Clark doesn’t talk about it they knew it would be coming up soon.
Seems they can’t escape it after all.
Mercury has always find a way to escape Clark whenever he talks about liking her.
They’ve all been doing well and there seems to be no problems.
PROM’S DAY.
All the students are beautifully dressed and excitement could be seen on each their faces.
“Hey kings aren’t you looking more handsome than me? That’s not accepted” Danny said and Kings smiles.

Leo focused his eyes on the entrance while Clark checked the time on his wrist watch.
“What’s taking them so long?” He mutters to himself.
Mercury and and Carly came in linking hands and the guys wouldn’t stop staring.
“I thought you guys weren’t coming?” Danny said to them as they approach them.
“Oh come on we wouldn’t miss it for the World” Mercury replies.
“Wow…you guys look…?”
“Stunning? We know” Mercury interrupted Leo and he smiles.
“It’s seems you put in special effort in dolling yourselves up…are you tryna impress someone here?” Clark asked.
“Oh come on…we’re girls…we have to do this so the guys will ask us out”

“We aren’t high schoolers anymore…we should enjoy life now right Carly?” She asked and she nodded smiling
“I can’t say for Carly but are you in any position to look for a date when you have a fiance?” Danny asked.
“Don’t spoil my mood” Mercury said collecting Olive’s drink from him.

“Since you wouldn’t offer these beautiful ladies drink we might as well get it ourselves” she said.

“Attention everyone” the principal said to the microphone.
“I welcome everyone to this year prom…I’m delighted we’re all here today it’s been a tough journey to many of you. Beautiful ladies and handsome gentleman tonight us gonna be a special one for us…the owner of this school…Mrs Kara Morgan will be joining us any minute soon and she has some special announcement to make…so before she arrives please dance…enjoy..have fun…it’s a joyful night” He announced and everyone clap.
“Carly let’s go dance before some ugly guys ask us instead”
“Sure…?” They both went to the dancing Hall and started dancing.
The four guys wouldn’t stop looking at them.
“Carly is beautiful isn’t she?…should I just ask her out tonight?” Danny said and Olive snap his head to him.
“Why would you do that?” He frowns.
“Cause I find her attractive…she’s cute”
“Don’t do anything stupid Danny…she’s not someone you could play with” leo said before Olive could say anything.
“And don’t think I’ll let a jerk like you date her” Clark added.
“Alright…okay…i back off…?” He surrendered.
“Just find someone else…Mercury is cute also” Olive said.
“And who said she’s looking for a date?” Clark frowns while Olive shrugged.

“Hey…isn’t this fun?” Mercury asked as they both shakes their body to the music.

“How was the dance?” Clark asked.
“It was a killer..?” Carly grins.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it”

“Sorry but I’m dancing with him” Carly said pointing to Leo.

“Later…?” She said as she and Leo leaves for the stage.

“Olive let’s go…? Mercury dragged Olive to the dancing Hall before Clark or Danny asked for a dance.
“You look dull tonight” Carly said to leo as they move to the music slowly.
“Is it because of her?” She asked.
“They are getting married soon Carly…I still haven’t gotten over her…I tried to believe me but…whenever I saw her smile…laughs even cries I go crazy…I can’t help myself and when I saw her walking in through the door earlier…I knew I can’t do it…I can’t give up on her…I love her so much…?”
“I understand…you must be going through a lot too…but like you said…they’re getting married soon…there’s nothing you can do…you just have to forget her”

Olive wouldn’t take his eyes off them as he dance with Mercury.

“Stop staring okay…you’re gonna look like a creep. If you can’t take it then go dance with her or confess your feelings”
“I think I made a mistake dancing with you”

“Lover boy!” She shouted after him making everyone looks at them.
Olive glares at her and she grins.
He looks around and his gaze met with Carly’s.
She stares for a while before looking away.
He sighs and walk back to where Clark is.
“Are you dating someone or just in love with someone?” Clark asked as he got there.
“Huh and guess who it is?”

“Mercury…I told her just now as we were dancing and she told me she fancy me too…never knew she has been crushing on me…?”
“That’s not true”
“Ask her…it’s only a pity you guys are engaged…you’re the obstacle to our love” he smirks and leaves.

minutes later Mercury came out dressing her clothes properly but was blocked by Clark at the door.
“Clark why are you here?” She asked but Clark only moves close to her.
She moves back stepping back in the toilet.
Clark closed the door on entering the toilet.
“This is the ladies toilet”
