THE SAME NIGHT.
Carly woke up and look around.
Olive and Mercury is no where to be found.
It seems Clark didn’t come also.
She felt a bit disappointed.
She misses him already.
The rest are still fast asleep.
She sighs and made her way outside.
“Hmm…?” She smiles as the fresh air beat her.
She starts strolling around them saw Olive staring at something.
“Hey” she called walking closer to him.
“What are you doi_”
“Let’s go over there” Olive turns her back taking her somewhere else.
“Why? What happened…?” She tries to look back but he pushed her out of there.
AT THE ROOFTOP.
“Wow…this place is amazing…?” She sat on a bench there.
“The air is a killer too…look at all those lights…looking at the city from here is really amazing…everything looks so beautiful” she smiles swaying her legs.
Olive sat beside her.
“The sight is beautiful indeed” Olive said.
“Yeah…and the one I saw earlier…looks beautiful also…?” She mutters.
“Which one?”
“The one at the swimming pool…?”
“You saw it?”
She looks at him and scoff.
“You made it so obvious you’re tryna hide something…of course I had to make sure to see what it was”

AT THE SWIMMING POOL.
Coming to her senses, Mercury pushed Clark away looking at him as if he just grow two heads.
“Why are you_”
She hiccups making him stop his statement.
“Hey are you okay?”
She only hiccups in response.
He tries to move closer to her but she stood up immediately.
“Clark you…?” She hiccups
“Aish…?” She ran out of there.
“What’s wrong with her…?” He mutters before going into the water.
Seconds later he came out panting.
“What’s wrong with me…?” He touched his chest.
AT THE ROOFTOP.
“Why did you kiss Danny?”
“Uh?” She looks at him.
“You kissed him after the camp…why?”
“Ohhh…why are you curious about that? And why should I tell you? You said I’m not your friend?”
“Forget it then”
“Yeah…I will…Romeo”
“Don’t call me that?”

He stood up.
“Oh where are you going…Romeo?”
He wanted to say something then decided not to.
He turns back leaving.
” Romeo….are you angry? Don’t leave me here alone Romeo…Romeo….Romeo….?” She continues calling.
Olive stop and breathes out.
“I’m swear I’m gonna kill her…?” He gritted before turning back and heading towards her.
“My Romeo…Come back Romeo…my one and only Romeo…my grumpy Romeo…Rome..ugh!” She choked on her spit when Olive suddenly trap her on the bench.
His hands on both sides of the bench as he leans towards her.

“Hey Romeo…wanna be my friend?” She said and Olive arch his eyebrows.
“I don’t want to…?” He replied about withdrawing but Carly drew him back by his shirt.
“Why?”

“Because you’re my nothing…?” She completed it for him.
“Why do you want me to be your friend?”
“Because…you’re my Romeo” she grins.
He signs.
“Go sleep it’s late…?”
“But i just woke up…Romeo”
“Stop calling me that?”

EXAM DAY 1.
The COLD’S phones beep and they all checked the message.
It was a message from Mercury on their group chat.
???? it’s exams period…nobody should talk or disturb me…I’m gonna avoid you all except Carly until the exams is over…till then…fare well”????
The message said.
“What the hell is wrong with her?” Danny said.
“It’s our final year…I understand if she wants to focus all her attention on her studies” Leo said.
Their phones beep again.
????same goes for me…?”???? a message from Carly popped up.
“They’re doing this on purpose aren’t they?” Danny said again.
“Just focus on your exams…or we’re all just gonna leave you here”
“That’s impossible…I’m ain’t staying behind..I’m really brilliant you know”
“Of course our Danny is so brilliant that he doesn’t need to read before passing” Olive said and Danny threw his phone at him.
“Don’t mind them Danny…even if you’re left behind…we promise to always check up on you” Clark Pat his shoulder.
“I’ll surprise you guys…just wait” he said leaving.
“Where are you going?”
“To study…none of you should take to me until we finish the exams” he said going out while others shakes their heads.
Clark took his phone and texted Mercury privately..
????”Are you avoiding me?” ????
He waited for a reply but got nothing.
“She’s indeed avoiding me…?” He murmurs to himself.

MORGAN’S MANSION.
“Oh Mercury dear…you’re here?”.
” Good day ma’am how have you been?” She greeted but Mrs Morgan only stares at her.
“Good day mother” she said slowly.

Angrily she opens the door and saw him shirtless drying his wet hair with a towel.
“Mercury?” He seems surprised to see her.
“As if…?”
“Wow…I’m surprised to see you…did you miss me?” He asked smiling.
Mercury went to him and pushed him by his bare chest.
“Hey…?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know why I’m here”
“What do you mean? Mother didn’t inform me you were coming?”
“As if…?” She rolled her eyes.
“I’m here now…are you satisfied?”
Clark smirks.
He wraps the towel in his hand around her neck pulling her closer.
“I don’t know about mother’s plan bringing you here but I’m actually happy you’re here” he smiles.
“You did a great job avoiding me”
“I was merely focusing on my exams since this is my final year and I have to go to college…I only transferred to this school the last term and I have low grades in my former school to get to college I have to make sure I impro_” she stopped talking when Clark suddenly gave her a peck on the lips.

“Are you guys okay? I think I heard some noise” she asked looking at them suspiciously.
“Ohh…nothing…we’re fine…he’s just being stubborn cause I insisted on drying his hair” Mercury smiles showing her the dryer she quickly took before she enters.
“Oh I see…Clark why are you being stubborn? She’s your fiancee she has the right to do that…written by faith ifeoluwa remember she’ll do more than that when she moves in…get used to it” she said.
“Yes mother”
“Good…Mercury dear…good luck” she smiles and went out closing the door.
Clark Sat on the chair beside his desk while Mercury turns on the dryer.
“I’ll do the drying…?” She said while Clark says nothing.
Awkwardly she starts drying his hair.
“I think…I like you planet girl…?” He broke the silence making Mercury halt.
“What…?” She said almost in audibly.
He sat her down on his laps both her hands on his shoulders.
“I don’t know how it happened but…for sometime now…I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about you. I crave for you…for your voice…your craziness…your angry face…your smile…your kiss…and your presence. I find myself craving for those…then I discovered…I like you. I like you Mercury” he said his gaze not leaving hers while she just stares.
“Mercury…?” He called when she won’t say anything.
Mercury set the dryer on his face letting the air explore it.
He closed his eyes.

She turns it off.
“I thought I needed to wake you up” she said dropping the dryer.
“I’m sober…thanks for that but it was unnecessary”

Carly sighs and made to go to her class but she was double crossed by two girls who drag her to the rest room forcefully.

Carly winced in pain as she got a cut as a result of the ring Mia was wearing.
Mia got hold of her hair.
“You really annoy me…everytime I see you I feel miserable…you took Lia away from me…took Clark now you’re tryna take Leo too…too bad I won’t let you…I’ll make sure I see the end of you before this session ends mark my words” he let go of her hair roughly.
The two girls holding her made her knee as she struggles.
She brought out a pill looking at it.
“Neither Mercury nor the COLD will be able to save you this time I promise dearie…?”
“Don’t do anything stupid Mia”
“You think?” She sneers.
“Watch me…?” She held her chin and forced the pill down her throat.
“Let’s go girls” Mia flipped her hair and went out with the girls.
Carly rushed to the closet trying to spat out whatever Mia stuck in her throat.
She knee whatever it is…it will surely do her some harm in anyway.
She coughs repeatedly but nothing comes out as her eyes became red.
Ever since the incident with Lia…kia has been backing away from her.
It seems she got scared.
She asked Mia to stop bullying Carly and Mercury but Mia refused.
Since then kia has been avoiding and ignoring her.
This only angers Mia more.
Her friends left her because of Carly and she seems happy with the COLD.
Never…she won’t let her have that happiness because to her she doesn’t deserves it.
Mercury was too engrossed in reading that she didn’t notice Carly has not been around.
The teacher came in with the exams questions then she finally discovers Carly isn’t in the class.
“Excuse me sir…Carly isn’t here yet” she said.
“So…you want the whole class to wait for her because she’s a queen?” The teacher said and everyone bursts into laughter.
Mercury tries to call her but the teacher stops her.
“Drop your phone Miss Mercury…the exams are starting now”
“Yes sir” she drops and her reluctantly and prays silently she comes in sooner.
Looking towards the door her eyes met with that of Mia and she smirks at her.
Then she got this weird feeling.
Something is wrong with Carly.

“Carly!” Mercury stood up as she saw her at the doorpost.
Her attention wasn’t on the exam she was writing and she has been monitoring the door expecting her.
“Where have you been? Why are you just coming?”
The teacher asked.
She raised up her head and practically everyone in the class gasped.
Including the teacher.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“My…my papers”
She forced herself to say.
“Are you sick? Why are you…?”
“Please! Give me my papers” she said panting.
“Take your sit…we’ll settle this after the exams” the teacher gave her the paper eyeing her warily and she staggers to her sit bumping into anything that’s in the way.
Kings and Mercury looks at her worriedly.
What could be wrong with her?.
“Time is going focus on your papers…twenty minutes left” the teacher said and Mercury tries to focus in her paper.
Carly stares at the question paper sternly.
Everything is just too blurry…her eyes became teary as she wonders what Mia did to her.
Her tears wet the paper.
“Fifteen minutes more”
She held onto her pen tightly almost breaking it.

The teacher went to her.
“Carly…your paper”
“I’m…I’m not done”
“Give it to me now!”
“I SAID I’M NOT DONE!” She yelled at the teacher making everyone flinch.
“Carly…?” Mercury called in disbelief.
“Did you just shout on me?” He asked in disbelief.
“Please…just…give me…some…minut…?” She fainted not completing her statement.
“Carly!!” Mercury and kings ran to her.
