“Were you able to tell her? ” Nik ask me after I told him that Kathy had agreed to marry me. We did talk about how sudden the proposal was but knowing fully well that she’s the one I want and she wants me there’s no point delaying it.
“I’m planning to Nik but just not now? She’s too happy to receive such sad news. ” I said and Nik adjust himself on the be-d which he was sitting on.
“You better do that fast before someone else help you. ”
‘What are you talking about? Aside from you and me no one else knows about the r@p£. “I said and he nod his head in agreement.
‘She won’t find out except you want to tell on me. ” I said and he gave me a glare. I trust Nik no to tell on me no matter what, I just have to say that.

Convincing Mom was a little ha-rd but she knew where I was coming from and I told her not to announce it to anyone in church even Jay received that strict warning not to say anything to anyone and he promised to wait until I am re-ady.
“Good morning Mrs. Jayson Christon. ” He said immediately he walk into my office and I raise my head from my system looking up at him.
“If you keep calling me that I might get used to it and hasten the wedding. ” I said getting up from my seat to meet with him. I hvgged him and after we dis£ngage from the hvg he cu-p my face in his hands.
“I love you so much Kathy. ” He said and I k!$$£d his palm.
“I love you too boss. ” I said and he k!$$£d me.
I had to s£nd him out of my office as he was bent on staying bringing up unnecessary gist. It’s true what they say that love can always find it’s way as long as you’re patient enough it’ll surely come.
📱s£nd the report to my email first. I want to review it before s£nding it to the CEO’s desk.
I said into the telephone and dropped it. Actually Jay asked me to review it instead of him. He has been lazy these days.
As I went into the day’s job, the door to my office flung open revea-ling Jayson’s mom. I wonder how I could still remember her face as it has changed over the years. She used to have a shoulder length baby face grey hair and her walking step hasn’t changed. She’s still walking like she one who has dominion over every human on earth.
Back in high school, she was the terror you won’t want to mess with one of the reason why many tried avoiding Jayson like a plague including me but he just knows how to piss people up.
I could remember when Mrs. Christon c@m£ to our school to fight with one of our teachers because he broke Jayson’s nose when he fought with a student. Well, I used to think Jayson was a mommy’s boy but with the story he had fed me with I think he has grown up.

“Oh my Katrina. ” She said in sarcasm. She wasn’t my fan anyway so what is she trying to do?
“It’s Katherine Ma’am. ” I corrected her.
“My bad, Katherine but don’t just stand there and talk to me. Won’t you come give your mother in law a hvg. ” She said spre-ading her arms for me to get in. I dropped the pen that was on my hand and walk up to her then got into her arms and she tap my back.
“Oh my dear. ” She said tapping my back. I thought Jayson promised me that he won’t tell anyone about our relationsh!p, how then did she find out about it?
We dis£ngaged from the hvg and sits on the couch that’s facing my table.
“Don’t think about it he didn’t say anything to me. ”
” I just have my way of figuring things out. ”
Should I be scared.
“I just want you to know that I totally support the both of you and if you’ll be the one to bring my son happiness then so be it. ”
Now things are getting worked up. What is she getting it.
“I’m sorry but if you don’t mind can you wra-p this up? I have a lot on my table as you can see. ” I said not minding the way I sound.
“You don’t talk to me like that Katrina. ”
“Katherine.”
“But I decide to let things pas-s because Jayson happiness is my priority right now. ”
“What is this about? ” I ask her because she’s starting to get on my nerves.
“Is the r@p£ scene still haunting you? ”
I froze in hearing her say that. It’s been 5years and why will anyone bring that up? I haven’t even say anything concerning that to Jayson yet
“How did you know about that? ” I ask her moving away from her.
“Because it’s my son who did it. ”

What is she talking about?
“What are you saying? ”
She stands up and hung her back on her shoulder.
“Dont break up with him because of that okay? But you should know he has some one he’s going to get married to and all these will end soon. “She said and h0t tears roll down my cheeks as she walks out of the office.
😔Jayson POV 😔
Just this few minutes that I’ve stayed away from her felt like a whole day.
As I was approaching her office I saw Mom leaving the office so I rushed to her.
” What are you doing here? ”
“This is also my company so I can visit whenever I want to. ” She said.
“We both know you didn’t come here for inspection. You haven’t done that for a while now. ”
Why is she coming out from Kathy’s office?
“Alright. I had that you are getting married to Katrina and I nee-ded to confirm. How dare you?! ” She fired at me but I know this is more than that.
“What else did you do? ”
“Why are you asking me all these questions? You’re the one that is trying to pl@ysmart. ”
“What. Else. Did. You. Do. Mom? ” I picked the word one after the other just for her to know how serious I am.
“You should find out yourself. ‘She said and with that she walks away while I rushed into Kathy’s office and to my greatest surprise she was working on her system.
” Kathy. “I called and she slowly raised her head looking at me then I saw her swollen face. She did cry. What did mom say to her?
” Your mom just left a while ago I’m sure you must have seen her. “She said looking at me and I took a step forward.
” Anything she tells you are just…. ”
She used her hand to indicate I st©p talking.
“Lies I alre-ady know that but something she said struck me. Were you there that night? ”
Oh no, what did Mom say to her?
“What night? ”
I could feel my heart beating fas-ter than normal. I am going to coll@pse soon. Someb©dy should plea-se be at alert.
“The night I was….. ” She paused, close her eyes for some seconds then open them.
“The night I was R@p£d. Were you the guy that f0rç£d himself on me? ” She asked me as calmly as she could. I don’t even know what’s going on in her head but whatever it is isn’t good at all. I would have preferred her to be yelling at me right now.
‘Kathy I. ”
She used her hand to st©p me again.
“It’s just a simple question Jayson. Was it a yes or a no? ”
Why is this happening now God?
“Kathy plea-se lis… ”
She cut me short again.
“Would you prefer I repeat the question? ” She raised her voice a little but lowered it toward the end of the s£ntence.
“Yes.” I said looking down and I raised my head immediately to see her in tears still on her seat. God knows I hate how she’s calm.
“Kathy you have to believe me I was drun!kthat night and not once was I proud of what I did. I hated myself for hurting you and I just want to make up for what I’d done. ” I said but she wipe off her tears.
“Leave.” She said calmly but I just can’t go.
“Kathy listen to me first. ” I took another step closer.
“Don’t let me yell. ” She said ti-ght£ñing her face.
“Kathy It’s…. “.
She gr-ab the vase next to her and threw it at me and it brushed my shoulder giving me a cut she then stands up.
” Since you don’t want to leave I’ll leave. “She said and walk out of the office then I falls down on my knees in tears..
