Marion’s POV
“Babe hurry up we gonna be late for the function” I called checking my Rolex watch,how can women take 2 to 3 hours just dressing up,i wonder why she’s taking too long, I’ve dressed since 30 minutes ago and here I am waiting for my dear beloved fiance who even freshing up before me .
I tend to wonder myself , 1 she doesn’t really do make up, or may be today she wants to since it’s a special occasion all women can be so unpredictable, okay maybe few nah,some it’s better like that then they tend to look so out of the world that you as a lover
won’t recognize them , but I can always recognize my Gwen even if she’s wearing a costume.
I laughed at my silly thought, why will she even put that shit on?
“Handsome am here” she said and i looked up,my jaw dropped as I take in her makeup,she looks so beautiful, for the first time, i saw her in make up, damn she’s too beautiful.
How can I be so blind since our teenage hood ,this girl has always had a secret crush on me,and I thought she’s ugly and no difference from Ava, damn she’s the best decision I’ve made so far.
She smiled and came to me, she looks so beautiful In the red well the outfit for the function is all the women on red and the men on black.
“Wow, your looking so tantalizing” I said and she chuckled.
“Thanks handsome, and you look so take away your self” she said and i smirked .
” Of course,i have to let all the women know I belong to you,so bad they will wish, they were you ” I said sarcastically.
She scoffed.
“Pride much” she replied and i kissed her .
“Common babe let’s go”I said .
” Umm what about Ava, we talked about it that she’s going to attend too, she will feel lonely at home ” she said .
Actually Gwen suggested Ava to attend the
function and at least mingle with people since she’s just a pregnant woman on her own , I sighed
” Yeah,i already told Timothy to go pick her up” I replied she smiled.
” That’s very nice ” she kissed my cheek and we went to my car ,we got in and Alex drove straight to the function.
Once we arrive the paparazzi were all over our car, Alex help Gwen to my side as they bust us with so many questions.
“Mr Rodriguez, we heard your getting married, is she the one?” One asked.
“Is it true your ex is back.and pregnant? Another asked.
“Mr Rodriguez so your back with your ex? Another one Asked.
I held Gwen tight as she tries to cover her face cause of the pictures being taking.
“Is she pregnant?” Another asked.
This paparazzi are so guilable am sure someone must have seen me taking Gwen into the hospital a week ago .
Finally we passed through them, and we set for the camera snapping pictures.
We meet our family and we started talking and
laughing, shaking each other I left Gwen with my mom Mrs Thomas, Briana and Sia, Jess and Ava ,well my family really hates Ava, but I think they are trying to be nice to her , she stood quietly.
The function is going smoothly and everyone is
enjoying each other, I spoke to Andrew and Jose who also came.
From time to time i keep looking towards Gwen, she seem to be enjoying herself she was smiling at what mom was saying.
Soon my dad went on stage and started talking about the business and thanking everyone for their supports he introduced the brand wine,and so many people started tasting the wine, I did too and it’s very good , dad pointed at Gwen as the wine producer and everyone cheered and clapped, he invited Gwen to the
stage to say one or two things to them .
Gwen smiled and walked to the stage as I winked her, wow she looks so beautiful, she took the mic, I could see those bastards eyes on her , I could break their eyes , but anyways she’s all mine .
She cleared her throat and smiled at the crowd, the camera clicking on her every time.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, as you all know am EuGwen Thomas, the manager and deputy of the Brand wine company” she said and everyone clapped.
“You all know it’s not been so long since I joined the brand wine company, I wanted to be a phycologist but then when I looked into this very commission, i felt like why not give this a try and forget about psychology, I mean there and then I knew it wasn’t my calling” she said and everyone laughed.
She smiled.
“I joined the brand wine company two years ago, and with the support giving to me by my two parents Mr and Mrs Brand Thomas, I was able to start creating things on my own, to be sincere I was shocked and I would had never knew if I had such talent in me, if I would had gone for psychology” she said and we
Chuckled.
“My mom told me that,i should do what my heart tells me to because the heart is never wrong, I was at 4 then , year I remember things alot” she said and we Chuckled.
“When I started my first product I was so scared that I might not get it right , but always mixing chemicals together creating different things is just amazing” she said .
“I learned, and today the brand wine company is one of the biggest and top most foundation In the whole of NYC” she yelled and everyone cheered and clapped.
” Am happy to be able to share my experience with most of you all, it’s really something to be proud off, that habit you call a special talent , today am a wine producer and am not just an ordinary one, but the top
most best “she said and everyone screamed happily
clapping filled the hall.
She laughed.
“Thank you , thank you ” she said and everywhere became quite.
“Am glad that you all enjoyed my product, and am greatful for your support it really means a whole lot to me, having so many people,encouraging me to do the best, am really glad,so thank you so much for coming to the function, it means a whole lot to me, I really appreciate, thank you all very much and enjoy the evening” she said and everyone went loud the whole hall was filled with cheers and claps.
Gently she walked down the stage and I smiled at her as she walked towards me smiling.
“Wow babe, that was amazing” I said and she smiled.
“Thank you handsome” she said .
“It’s time to welcome our singer for tonight it’s miss Sia Whitmire” the MC called and the crowd clapped for Sia as she smiled walking to the stage
“Wow she’s Singing?” Gwen asked surprised.
“Of course” I Chuckled.
Sia greeted the crowd and started singing .

“Sure handsome” she replied placing her hand on mine as I pulled her to my chest , the other couples where already dancing.
Mrs Thomas and mr Thomas were, same goes to my dad and mom who is both looking at each other with so much love, then Jose and Jess I Chuckled , before my eyes went to Andrew who is drinking and Briana staring angrily at him , actually she’s a model, that’s
why she hardly stays around, I saw uncle
Christian and aunty Katherina both dancing, if you forgot they are Briana and Sia’s parents.
Turning back to the woman in my arms, I kissed her forehead as she blushed , we stared at each other lovingly .
The function continues and Gwen is talking to Jess I was busy talking to my dad .
“Marion ” I heard Gwen’s voice .
“Hello babe” I kissed her cheek .”anything?’ I asked
She nodded and pulled me away after taking excuse.
“Babe what’s wrong?” I asked .
” I can’t find Ava I’ve been Looking for her ” she said worriedly .
” She should be somewhere around ” I said .
” Please Marion let’s look for her, she’s pregnant remember” she said I signed and nodded .
We started Looking for her , but then I spotted her talking on the phone, I pulled Gwen as we went closer to her, she hasn’t seen us because her back was turned to us .
It looks like she was crying.
“No please,…..am not coming back ” she yelled
I and Gwen looked at each other.
“Leave me alone, how did you get my number,I don’t want to have anything to do with you stay away from me Harris” she yelled .
She was crying as I and Gwen listened
” No I won’t let you touch my baby ” she yelled and i quickly pulled the phone from her hand .
” Hello , Harris” I yelled Gwen was hugging crying Ava.
No one spoke I looked at the screen and his name was on it and it shows his still on the call, I placed it on my ear back.
” Harris you listen good, your not going to Lay your hands on her or the child , you hear me ?Hello , hello ….” The line went dead .
I faced Ava who looked so horrible, her eyes were so red as she cries, Gwen too look like shes about to cry .
” He won’t leave me , he will come for Me” Ava sobbed.
I touched her arms as she she hugged me instantly, I was taking aback I looked at Gwen ,but she doesn’t look like she cared, she looked at Ava with pitiful eyes .
Well I will just let her hug me to calm down ,but why will Harris be threatening her to come back?
“Please Marion take me home , I just want to go home please” she pleaded and I didn’t like the idea even if she’s afraid right now .
“Please just drive me back home ” she pleaded again , Gwen nodded For me to take her home
“I will be right back babe” I said kissing her lips she nodded .
I pulled Ava as we head out of the function,but she hasn’t still stopped crying.
Why would Harris want her , she look’s so
scared.
