” Babe we are here ” I felt someone shaking me lightly.
” Babe”
“Am up, am up, am up” I said quickly seating well, Marion Chuckled.
“Sorry I fell asleep” I said straighten my gown
” for how long I’ve I been out?” She asked .
“All the drive here” he replied, my cheek turned red, why am I over sleeping this day’s? And I kept eating, I keep thinking one thing.
Am I pregnant?
But , is this the symptoms? Nah I don’t think so, maybe am just stressed out, I’ve heard lots about pregnant women , if she keeps vomiting and sleeping , but mine I feel irritated by anything that smells and I crave for things this days .
Oh my , am I pregnant?
“Gwen are you okay ?” I heard Marion’s voice.
“Yes, shall we” I asked and he smiled .
“Yes of course” he kissed my lips something he does always, he got down and opened my side for me .
After that , he placed his hand on my waist and we head in, my parents where already there when we entered.
I hugged all of them and we all settled to eat our dinner, they made so many different foods,oh this is awesome, I will eat and eat and eat .
Food was served and we all started laughing and
talking.
“I met Rose at a function, i fell inlove with her
instantly she was so beautiful That my heart melted at her right” Malcolm said making us chuckle.
“For me it was love at first sight too” mom Rose said and i smiled lovingly at them as they talked about their love story, I was digging into my meal eating as much as I could .
“so Mr Thomas how did you meet Mrs Thomas?” Sia
asked .
” Well actually, well we met at the airport” he said and my eyes widen.
“What a good place to see someone” mom Rose joked and we laughed.
“She was so beautiful that I couldn’t resist talking to her, it was her smile that captivated me, she was so beautiful, because of her I had to Rode in a public plane ” my dad said and we all started laughing.
They kept talking, I wonder why they ain’t eating their meals, just talking, I finished my food no drop remaining.
But am still hungry , I looked at Marion’s plate he hardly touched his food , I swallowed, how
do I tell him I need his, will he give me.
” Umm so son, have you set a date for the wedding?” Malcolm Asked.
“Yes dad, I was thinking April 23rd ” Marion replied.
“Oh that’s just two months from now , so Gwen Darling how do you see the date, is it cool with you ?” Mom Rose asked but I hardly heard it because i was looking at the food in their front especially Mr Rodriguez lasagna, I licked my lips.

Mom asked Gwen a question, but she seem lost , I tapped her lightly and she looked at me.
“Umm yes!!!?” She asked.
“Mom asked if your cool with the date of the wedding” I said .
She smiled.
” Yes of course, it’s a nice date ” she said and they nodded smiling.
” Oh , I just remembered yesterday when you were so little. And now your about to be a husband” dad said and i smiled .
” Of course Mr Rodriguez, children grow so fast this days , I remembered when Gwen was Just a little bunny, but now she’s about to be a wife in two months time ” Mrs Thomas said and we all smiled .
I looked at Gwen , but her eyes were glued to my dad’s plate , I frowned, does she still want to eat ?
“Gwen Darling are you okay ?”mom asked she smiled and nodded her eyes went back to my dads, plate.
” Umm,…..Dad Malcolm, please can I have little of your lasagna?” She asked and everyone looked at each other..
” Well yes of course dear , you can have all”dad said pushing the plate to her she smiled happily.
” Thanks so much ” she said and Started digging into the food, we all stare at her as she rushed the meal .
” Babe calm down okay , slow down ” I said .
” Oh sorry ” she looked up and saw everyone looking, she smiled and continued eating, I looked at our parents and they were chuckling giving each other secret looks .
After dinner mom and Mrs Thomas excused themselves to have a private talk, women!!! Sia
suggested I play the piano and sing for Gwen ,Gwen was happy and sat down on the sofa as I started singing she was eating apple, some banana and strawberry beside her and juice well she really eat this days .

I kept singing and singing as they all clapped for me, Mr and Mrs Thomas left and i went to meet Gwen who sat on the sofa smiling at me. I winked her and she. blushed.
” Hi babe” I kissed her lips.
“Hi handsome” she smiled at me and i did too,she put strawberry in my mouth and i took it as she dropped d fruit plate from her lap.
“Did you enjoy the song? I asked after chewing the strawberry she nodded her head I kissed her cheek.
” You know it was for you right?” I aksed and she blushed.
“Yes,….baby am feeling sleepy” she said hugging me my eyes widen .
” But babe, it hasn’t been long you woke up, you’ve been sleeping” I said she raised her head and looked at me with her puppy eyes and pouted lips.
” Common handsome, take me home , I need to sleep” she winned hugging me tighter.
” Son” I heard my mom’s voice and i looked up.
” Mom” I said she moved closer to us as she looked to Gwen who was hugging me still.
“Is Gwen okay? She asked.
“Yes mom, she’s just feeling sleepy, we need to get going” I said .
“Oh sure baby, but can I speak to you for 2 Minutes please” mom said and i looked at Gwen.
” Go handsome, am waiting”she said and not caring my mom is watching I kissed her , I heard my mom chuckled, when I left her shewas hugging the couch pillow, I smiled she looked so beautiful and adorable.
Finally I Walked to the balcony with mom.
” So mom, you said you wanted to see me ?” I asked.
“Yes son, umm….I just wanted to ask you what’s wrong with Gwen?”she asked .
Maybe I should tell her she might help me beg Gwen to go to the hospital.
“Umm mom, I really don’t know, she’s been acting weird lately, she eats too much , she sleep’s, she complain of smells and then vomit and she easily gets Angry, I’ve told her we should go to the hospital for a check up , but she fought me against it and declined it”I said rubbing my temple.
Mom Chuckled, i stared at her disbelief.
” Mom what’s funny ?” I aksed .
” It’s funny son, because you do not know what’s wrong with your fiancee” she said .
” Mom, how am I supposed to know am not a f*ckin doctor” I said mom shook her head smiling.
” Oh Marion, I felt exactly like her 26 years ago” mom said and i got confused.
“You felt like this? But why what did the doctor tell you then ?” I aksed.
” Your smart enough ain’t you ?”mom asked smirking at me .
And i stare at her in wonder and try to process what she said. Wait 26 years that’s the number of my age, so that means ……oh f*ck my eyes widen.
” Mom really , are you sure , is it really what am thinking…..?”I asked .
She chuckled.
“Yes son” she laughed.
“Oh my gosh , she’s pregnant,shes f*ckin pregnant” I yelled happily.
Mom laughed.
“Mom your sure right ?” I aksed .
“Of course son, Gwen is pregnant even Mrs Thomas knew of it, now you have to take her to the hospital and confirm it” she said I couldn’t help but smile .
“I need to go mom, love you ” I kissed mom and quickly rushed out.
When I got back Gwen was already sleeping, I checked my time its 8:30 pm am sure the hospital is still open, now that she’s Sleeping it will be easier to get her there .
Waving my family the final goodbye I carried Gwen to the car and placed her in the back seat , so she could sleep well .
I really don’t want her to wake up , driving into the Mr John hospital his actually our family doctor, the nurses brought the stretcher thinking she has fainted .
” No, I will carry her, she’s actually sleeping” I explained to them and they chuckled.
I placed her on the hospital bed and I heard her murmur ” I love you too Marion” I couldn’t help but smile she’s dreaming about me .
I spoke to doctor John, well he knew me since when I was a kid.
” So you want her to be checked?”he Asked.
“Yes ,actually she’s asleep, that’s why am able to bring her here without any trouble she really is against coming here , so when she wakes up I will tell her she fainted so I had to bring her to the hospital” I explained doctor John chuckled. He was already an old man , maybe in his 70ties, I sat in the waiting room when he asked me to see him in his office.
” Doctor John so any news?” I aksed Edgar to
confirm it .
Doctor John smiled and handed me an envelope.
” Congratulations Mr Rodriguez, your fiancee is
pregnant” he said .
My eyes widen as I read the paper in the envelope.
” Yes , am going to be a father” I yelled happily.
He chuckled, Gwen is pregnant, am really gonna be a f*ckin father .
I later took her home and she was still sleeping,i really want to hug her tightly kiss her and make passionately love to her, But she’s sleeping.
I got her out of her dress , damn she’s really not a deep sleeper but this pregnancy changed her so much .
After wearing her her night gown I undressed and joined her on bed, pulling her closer to Me as possible with no gap I rub her stomach,I can’t help but kiss it , she’s carrying my baby, something I’ve always wanted , finally .Finally I got it.
“I love you so much Gwen, you have made me so happy”I kissed her stomach one last time before holding her against me and we snugged into each other’s arms till I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
