⏩ “i love you so much,” he said staring at me, he tried to ki-ss me again but i looked away and move backward.
“Milton.., I called out while he still stares at me, he look confused but still so handsome.
“don’t you love me? Delphine it time you tell me what on your mind, tell me how you feel about me, at least that will make me feel more comfortable,” he said while i
just stared at him not saying anything.
“say something Delphine,” he held my shoulder, i couldn’t find the right words to tell him.
“Delphine? i heard my grandma called my name.
“Milton we will talk about this anytime, i need to think much about my mom and also school, i have been skipping school a lot,” i said trying to deviate his mind from the questions, he went in with me to check on my mom.
?A week later Mom has been recovering much and am already missing a lot at school. I was already dressed ready to leave but check on my mom and grandma.
“mom take care i need to go, Milton is already waiting for me,” i said.
“Delphine you’ve done enough already, please don’t bother too much about me,” my mom said while i hug her.
“please grandma take care of her,” I smiled then left.
I arrived to the school feeling so happy. Sarah and Amy were also happy to me, i really miss those girls.
“Delphine welcome back i really miss you,” Sarah and Amy hug me at once.
“sorry about what happen to you, so how’s your mom doing? Amy asked.
“my mom is recovering already and thank you so much,” I smiled.
“and good news, Clark is back,” Sarah said smiling.
“Clark is back? I asked, my eyes were wide opened.
“sure, that means you guys can still go for the competition since it just in three days time,” said Amy.
“but it kind of too late, we haven’t learn anything so far and i don’t am ready,” I said.
“you can just give it a try, am sure you can,”
“maybe, well thanks girls, i appreciates,” i said smiling.
⏩Clark is seen playing basketball with his friends, this time he seems so happy and talks a lot.
“so why did you decided to come back,” Eric asked as he threw the ball at him.
“i’ve just realise something, my dad always tell me never to give up when looking for something even if is already taken by someone else, i still have to pursue it
in a good way,” he smiled.
“huh.. so what actually did you mean?
“never mind, it personal,” Clark replied smiling.
“i actually came back for my dad, and maybe for the competition, i later changed my mind and decided to come back here,” he said smiling.
❇ {Delphine’s POV}❇
I was just coming from the principal office, in this three days left the principal suggest we should still move on with the competition because it a very important competition which is done after so may years i think so, this might my the only chance to win this for my school, at least we’ve try because we were able to scale throu-ghthe first and second round, the final round has to do schools from other country which will be held in Singapore, well we can just give it a try since we’ve already reach to the final level, well i was told to inform Clark about it, i saw him coming from the basketball court, he looks so handsome, fresh and happy, this time he isn’t frowning but smiling, seeing him smile also makes me smile for no reason.
“welcome,” i said as i moved towards him, well he didn’t say anything but just nodded.
“we need to be more serious cos we’re still gonna go for the competition, it just in three days time,” i said while he smile looking at me, i guess this the first time i saw him smiling whenever am around him.
“okay then, whatever,” he said then walked away.
I walked to the clas-sbut saw Nicole, it being a while since i saw her because she’s no longer coming again ever since she told me about her break up with Clark. What could have make Clark so happy maybe he got a new girlfriend at Mexico or maybe he doesn’t like Nicole again.
“Delphine..” Nicole called out my name as she ran to my arms.
“Nicole are you okay? i asked while she said nothing, tears drop from her eyes which make me feel so bad.
“Clark doesn’t want to talk to me again,” she said.
“uhmm.. Nicole am sorry about your break up, but that doesn’t mean you’ll keep on crying each day and night, you don’t have to for-ce yourself on anyone, anything for-ce is not real,” i said to her while she wipe away her tears and nodded.
“maybe just try to give him more time to think, in a relationship one don’t have to be so disturbing,” i said to her.
“i need to leave,” she said then left.
Immediately after school i told Milton to leave because i have to wait till evening because the coaching clas-scontinues, although Milton seems to be so uncomfortable and unhappy, i guess it because Clark is back, well i have no business with Clark and yes i have made up my mind to tell Milton how much i so much love him, i can’t wait to be his girlfriend, but i won’t tell him now, i need to make sure he’s the right person for me.
Well the lesson went on well and i enjoyed it but i was actually thinking about my sick mother at home, i need to rush home and help her. After the lesson i packed my books ready to leave, Clark isn’t saying anything to me.
“uhm.. Clark i know i shouldn’t meddle with you personal affair but Nicole was really hurt about your break up, you should have at least consider her before doing that,” i said waiting for his response.
“huh? have she told you about it, and do you think you can change my mind? stop acting like a saint, i just like the way i am now, am free from that pest,” he half yelled then stood up and left, i still couldn’t believe Clark’s father is so much in love with my mom, what if Clark knows about this? what will be his reaction? i asked myself so scared of what the future holds.
I hurried back home and meet mom, grandma and David already at home.
“mom, we’re still looking forward to go to the competition which is just in three days time at Singapore,” i said as i sat down beside her.
“wow! i know you can still make it,” she said smiling.
“but am not ready for it,” i said so worried, Grandma and mom all encouraged me and i feel so inspired by what they said.
“so are you the only one going? my mom asked.
“no mom, it me and Clark, the guy is just too tough to handle,” i said
“Clark? she’s in your school? he’s back? she asked so eager.
“yes mom,” i replied.
“you need to do me a favor,” she said.
“what favor mom? i asked.
“i need you to make Clark take things easy with his dad, i just want to help Jason, i know if Clark find out about me and if he knows am your mother he might leave his father forever, you need to make Clark und-erstand that, no one has plan for any of these things to happen,” she said i was surprise, how can i start this discussion with Clark while we’re not even getting alone.
“mom, we’re not getting alone, beside how can i start this conversation about his own family, he might hate me for good, afterall he already don’t like me, we’re not actually talking much with him talk more of family issue,” i said.
“just try something Delphine, just do anything you can, only you can do this,” she said looking at me while i just nodded my head and smile a bit.
⏩”tomorrow Clark and Delphine are traveling out for the final round of the competition,” said Nicole as she sat on her bed with a cup of coffee.
“so serious, where are they heading to? her mother asked.
“to Singapore, they will just spent four days and return back on the fifth day,” she replied.
“then you need to be smart in this,” her mother shouted at her.
“then get me more money,” Nicole half yelled.
“enough Nicole, just be smart in dealing with Livvy this time,” she said.
Nicole mother smiled to herself.
“Time will come when i will strike them myself and occupied my rightful position, but then Clark is my main target,” she smiled.
WHO DO YOU THINK IS NICOLE’s MOTHER..?? AND does she wants with Clark and Livvy..???
