Mrs Elizabeth got home very angry, she greeted her husband and sat on the other couch.
KING MASON
someone doesn’t look happy, what’s wrong?
MRS ELIZABETH
I have never been this insulted in my entire life.
KING MASON
(surprised)
who would dare in my qeen? tell me who that person is and I will punish him of her accordingly.
MRS ELIZABETH
it’s Marcel and his girlfriend, wait did I say girlfriend? may the gods forbids it.
KING MASON
(Confused)
“marcel”? where did you see him? is he back?
MRS ELIZABETH
I went to see him at his place, I asked him to follow me home but he insulted me, not just that honey, that girl insulted me as well.
KING MASON
Derrick told you where Marcel is?
(he asked till looking confuse)
MRS ELIZABETH
Honey, how I found him doesn’t matter, what matters is I found him and he has refuse to come back home.
KING MASON
So what do you want me to do now?
MRS ELIZABETH
I want you to send your staff of authority, once he sees it he would obey and come back home.
KING MASON
my queen, have you ever seat to think if that woman makes him happy? don’t you think you have stressed this kiD’s enough? look at Derrick, for a week now he has become a shadow of himself, he neither eats nor drink, he has locked himself up like an outcast…
MRS ELIZABETH
I don’t un-derstand what you are saying my king…. because I’m doing everything possible to save our children from all this gold diggers you feel I’m ruining their lives? as for Derrick it’s just a matter of time he will get over whatever is wrong with him.
KING MASON
As a mother how can you not be bordered about your kids?
MRS ELIZABETH
Are you saying you won’t send for our son?
KING MASON
I won’t unless I feel it’s necessary…this discussion is over….you may leave my sight.
She stare at him angrily before she got up and left, the king nodded his head pitifully.
clarissa dresses up and left her flat immediately she noticed Marcel had gone back to his flat, she hasn’t seen her sister for close to two weeks now, and they ha-rdly even chat this days…love must have really taken her mind off her own blood, she couldn’t wait to go to her sister and cry on her shoulder, and tell her how Marcel have been lying to her and all that.
But to her surprised when she got to Kim’s house, she had to drop her own pain to know what exactly is wrong with her sister and why she is looking like a mad woman.
CLARISSA
are you okay Kim?why are you like this?
KIMBERLY
what are you doing here?
CLARISSA
I came to see you of course, why are you looking like this?
(she heard her nose)
and you smell so bad….what happened to you?
KIMBERLY
Nothing…so what are you doing here? let me guess you came to seek for advice right?
immediately she said that clarissa felt guilty, she actually came to be consoled, she wouldn’t have been there if things didn’t turn out bad for Marcel and she.
she felt bad for neglecting her sister.
CLARISSA
I’m here because I miss you
KIMBERLY
(She scoffed)
miss my a*s…tell me why you have come here Rissa.
CLARISSA
(She started to cry)
kimberly I’m so sorry, I’m sorry for neglecting you this past weeks, please forgive me…please.
she didn’t know what has happened but seeing kimberly in that state broke her heart even more.
kimberly got up quietly and drag herself upstairs.
Clarissa started go scream Usman’s name and Usman ran to her immediately.
CLARISSA
what happened to my sister?
USMAN
madam I don’t know ooh, ever since she went missing for days and came back, she has been….
CLARISSA
(Cut him short)
missing for days? I don’t un-derstand my sister was missing and I wasn’t told?
USMAN
oga Derrick said I shouldn’t call you that for all we know madam might be out having fun…but after two days when she didn’t come back he reported the case to the police….i thought he later informed you.
clarissa was confused now, her heart stiff like she was going to die…”no, I’m trying to get this, kimberly went missing for days and I wasn’t aware”? clarissa what kind of a sister are you? no wonder she’s mad at me, she must probably hate me by now” she yelled at her self inwardly.
USMAN
ma, I don’t know if my madam have gone crazy, sometimes I heard her screaming, sometimes from the gate I will heard the sound of her laughter….ma as you can see she neither eats or do anything, for the past five days now I have been the one bringing food to her but she will pour it away and cry…. I’m confuse ma.
CLARISSA
And you never bordered to call me? eeh Usman?
USMAN
I’m sorry ma, but I do not have your number.
CLARISSA
just go please.
Usman bow a little and left, clarissa ran upstairs to meet her sister, immediately she entered the room she went down on her knees and joined her hands together.
CLARISSA
will you ever forgive me for been a bad big sister? can you?
Kimberly started to laugh, she continued laughing till clarissa was convinced that her sister was going mad.
She called Usman from the window and he ran in immediately
CLARISSA
Help me hold her, we are taking her to the hospital, I think my sister is losing her mind
(she cried)
Usman held kimberly but she bite him and he released her immediately and screamed in pains
CLARISSA
oh my God, Jesus Christ what is going on with my sister.
she begged Usman and he grabbed her again, clarissa joined too and they took her downstairs to the car, clarissa ran back inside and took her sister’s car keys before she ran downstairs and drove away to the hospital.
For the first time ever since Derrick went to show Kim those pictures he decided to go out because his brother called him to tell him the havoc their mother had cause, without shaving or even dressing nice like he used to, he drove down to Marcel’s place…. immediately Marcel saw his brother he became confuse and short of what to say?
DERRICK
Hey bro
(he said seating down)
MARCEL
Why are you looking like this?
DERRICK
nothing…
MARCEL
Cut that b*llsh*t Rick….the last time you were here you weren’t looking bright, take a good look at yourself….
DERRICK
I said I’m fine bro….let’s talk about why I’m here.
MARCEL
the reason why you are here is important, just as you are important too…. common kido, I’m your brother, your best ffriend…when did we start having secrets?
Derrick fought the tears that was threatening to fall from his eyes, he quickly wiped his eyes so the tears wouldn’t drop.
MARCEL

DERRICK
How do I say this Marcel, that the woman I love with everything in me doesn’t believe in love….
MARCEL
then you make her believe in it….or
DERRICK
You don’t get it, kimberly believes in free se-x, she meet a random guy, have s-× with him and dispose him.
MARCEL

(he said expressing shock)
DERRICK
The other day I caught her with a man in her apartment…I overheard her telling the guy to leave that she was done with him….if not for my intervention the guy would have killed her because she was so mean.
MARCEL
oh my God…I can imagine how you felt.
DERRICK
I thought that was the greatest pain I will ever feel bro, not until she went missing and I was looking for her like a mad man.
MARCEL
yeah, you never got to tell me where she said she went to.
DERRICK
she didn’t have too because mum gave me pictures of Kim in an hotel with three different guys, having se-x.
Marcel was confused at the mention of his mother, he has lived with his mother for too long to know what she’s cable of doing.

Marcel wanted to be sure his mother doesn’t have a hand in her disappearance.
So he asked Derrick to explain to him how it all happened and how much got to find out kimberly sleeps with different men.
derrick took his time and explained to his brother everything that happened and how Kim didn’t deny any of the accusations leveled against her.
MARCEL
Do you still have the pictures?
DERRICK
I have them saved on my phone
MARCEL
can I see it?
DERRICK
What?
MARCEL
please bro, just show me the picture.
Derrick hesitated before he brou-ght out his phone and unlocked it, he went into where he hide the pictures and brou-ght it out then gave it Marcel.
Marcel took the phone from him and looked at the pictures very well.
he wasn’t sure what he was looking for but he kept zooming the picture until his
eyes fell on a gun and a white substance that looks like cocaine.
MARCEL
Does Kimberly do drugs?
DERRICK
what? no I mean if she does I would have known when I carried out test on her.
MARCEL
how did mum say she got this picture again?
DERRICK
I told you before, she said she bribed the receptionist and asked one of her men to plant a camera in there.
MARCEL
(he got up walking up and down his room)
what if Derrick, what if those men mum planted to put the camera in that room are the same men who slept with Kim?
DERRICK
What does it matter? what matters is she slept with different men in one day, in the same room…how disgusting can that be.
Marcel was trying to get his fact right, his lawyer instincts is telling him something is definitely fishy about his mother’s story.
MARCEL
which hotel did this take place?
DERRICK
mum didn’t mention the hotel to me.
MARCEL
take your phone and call her right now, ask her politely the hotel she got the pictures from.
DERRICK
You know mum will never disclose that to me.
MARCEL
you know one thing with anger is it takes over your body and makes you lose control…mum is very angry right now, in her own rage she would forget herself…so call her.
Derrick collected his phone and called his mum, but she refused to pick…he called again and she answered
MRS ELIZABETH
what is it Derrick? and why did you go to?
DERRICK
mum I called you for sometg very important, I ran into Kim on my way right now and she deny every going to any hotel, she even said if truly I saw her in any hotel I should tell her the name of the hotel I saw her.
indeed Marcel was right, the anger Mrs Elizabeth felt made her forget herself, she lost control and didn’t know her son was playing a fast one on her… without thinking twice she gave him the name of the hotel, Derrick turn to look at his brother and Marcel gave him a sigh to end the call and he did.
MARCEL
so, what’s up? did she tell you the name of the hotel?
DERRICK
Radisson Blu Anchorage hotel
MARCEL
you know the place?
DERRICK
No I dont….why all this question.
don’t worry, you will soon find out, common let’s go.
DERRICK
where are we going to?
MARCEL
to find out if mum is involved in this, I just can’t shake the feelings off me.
DERRICK
I don’t un-derstand, you think Kim set up those guys to se-duce kimberly?
MARCEL
I’m not sure, but I think mum set them up to ra-pe kimberly.
Derrick was shocked, he tried to thing of any reason why his mother would do such a thing but his head was empty.
DERRICK
that’s not possible….I mean in the other picture you could see kimberly smiling, do people smile when they are being ra-pe? mum might be evil but I doubt if she has a hand in this.
MARCEL
then there’s no harm in trying, let’s go to the hotel and find out what exactly happened on that day….if mum is innocent then it’s good and fine…..if you truly love this girl then give her benefit of doubt and do this.
Derrick was quiet for a while before he accepted, Marcel tapped his shoulder for doing the right thing.
He picked his car key and drove out of his compound, he called senator Godwin and pleaded with him to send him two of his police men, he could have gone to the station to get some officers but he know’s de-ep down that things wouldn’t end well if the officer get to know the truth, all he wanted was just some police who would threaten the receptionist and the camera men to show tell them exactly what happened.
after battling with the Google map for hours Marcel finally found the hotel, he walked into the building with his brother behind him.
MARCEL
Good evening miss Judith
(he greeted seeing the name on her ID)
JUDITH
Good evening sir…how may I be of help to you.
MARCEL
Can I see the manager of this establishment?
JUDITH
His not on seat.
they were still talking when the two police officer senator Godwin sent arrived.
S P JAMES
Good evening sir
MARCEL
yeah well, you came at the right time
Judith who hasn’t done anything bad has no reason to be afriad.
JUDITH
hope there is no problem?
JAMES
I’m officer James and here is my partner officer Tolu….we will like to see your manager.
JUDITH
I already told you my manager is not on seat.
MARCEL
miss Judith then I’m sorry you will have to follow us to the station for investigation
JUDITH
what? just like that? how can you just walk in here and say you want go arrest me? what’s my offence?
OFFICER JAMES

JUDITH
conspiracy to what?
they were arguing when the manager walked in.
MANAGER
what is going on here….gentlemen what happened.
MARCEL
and you are?
MANAGER
by the grace of God I’m the manager of this company.
MARCEL
Good, we are here because of the information we got that your receptionist took bribe from some people to have cameras planted in the particular room the victim like to lodge.
MANAGER
information? that’s not possible, all my staffs are trust worthy and I must tell you that nothing of such happened.
MARCEL
Then we will like to see your CCTV
MANAGER
We can’t, we have a lot of costumer who come here, people of different sort, I can’t allow you into their privacy.
OFFICER JAMES
I’m sure you know we didn’t come here go joke…you better let us do our investigation or we arrest you for instructing the law.
MARCEL
I’m barrister Marcel Mason, and I will have to sue this hotel for human brutality.
the manager was confuse, he didn’t want to go to police station or allow anyone to sue them, if the rumorse goes out their hotel will be in trouble, people will stop patronizing them.
MANAGER
okay, I will take you to the camera room…please come with me.
Marcel, derrick, officer James and the manager went into the camera room.
