Its been four days that Kim went missing, no one has heard from her and Derrick was beginning to lose his mind.
he could neither eat nor drink, he couldn’t go to work or do anything meaningfulfor himself, all he did was go to the police station every time to check if they have any news for him.
today was another sad day for him, as he drove out of the police station going back to his home, his mind was filled with pain and grieve, he would just die if anything should happen to that girl.
He returned home and went into his room, his mother who has succeeded with her plans came in to meet her son.
DERRICK
what do you want mum?
MRS ELIZABETH
I have been observing you for days now, and I noticed you haven’t been happy….will you care to share with mummy what the problem is?
DERRICK
mum please I’m not in the mood to talk right now…i like to be left alone.
Mrs Elizabeth smiled to herself, she got up and dropped an envelope on the bed beside her son, she tapped him on the shoulder and smiled again before walking out.
Derrick wondered what his mother was up to again this time, he took the envelope and opened it.
it was Kim’s picture, his hands tremble and the pictures fell down, his heart hurt suddenly but he was eager to know how his mum got to know of Kim and how she got the picture….he picked the picture from the ground and ran to meet his mother in the liviy room.
DERRICK
mum!! mum!!! mum!!!
(he kept screaming)
MRS ELIZABETH
(Relaxed and wasn’t bordered at all)
common son, you are a prince for God sake, stop screaming like a commoner..
DERRICK
mum where did you get this pictures and…what have you done to my woman?
MRS ELIZABETH
“your woman”? common son, we trained you better than that…as you can see that girl is not good for you.
DERRICK
Where is my woman, mum!!!
(he screamed at her)
MRS ELIZABETH
She got up and gave him a dirty slap)
don’t you dare raise your voice at me boy, what has gotten into you?
she inhale in and out then went back to seat down.
MRS ELIZABETH
When you stopped keeping late nights, being rude to me and sleeping out I knew a woman is involved, well I won’t seat back and watch any of my sons bring a gold digger into this house, so to be sure she’s good for you I have my men follow you and we located her place.
(she sipped her wine)
so, my men started to follow her movement and we found out her favorite hotel where she usually go to sleep with men..you can’t deny that you don’t know she sleeps around…all we did was bribed the receptionist and she allowed us to set a camera in her room….I’m sure the evidence is enough for you? that girl is nothing but a slut, she’s not fit to be royalty.
Derrick was hurt, his heart broke, the pain he felt was unimaginable, he staggered to a couch and sat down, his eyes were filled with tears….it was enough that only him knows that Kim sleeps around, but for his own mother to he aware he knows she can never stay alive and watch him marry a woman like that, and its just a matter of time before she tells his father.
his phone started to ring so he took it out of his pocket, it was Usman calling…he picked it immediately.
DERRICK
(He clears his throat)
yes usman…what’s up?
USMAN
oga my madam just came back….she’s at home now.
DERRICK
Okay
he said and hung up, he got up and wanted to go see her but his mother stopped him.
MRS ELIZABETH
I won’t let you go see that slut
DERRICK
this are just pictures mum, and I’m not going to believe this untill I hear from her.
He said and pushed his mother aside and went away.
kimberly went upstairs and took her bath, she picked a simple short gown and wore then came back to the living room.
She had ba-rely sat down when she heard a sound of car entering her compound, she manage to walke to the window to see who had come….she return back to her seat when she saw it was Derrick.
Derrick entered the living room, his face was pale and one look at him you will know his very angry.
DERRICK
where have you been kimberly?
KIMBERLY
good evening to you too
DERRICK
will you cut the crab and tell me where you have been for the past four days?
KIMBERLY
Derrick I want you to turn your back and get the hell out of my house…i do not ever want to see your face ever again….you bastard.
Derrick was surprised at her outburst, he should be the one angry at her, how come she’s the one acting the victim?
DERRICK
Really? I should leave? do you know how worried I was? how I almost went crazy searching the whole city for you?
KIMBERLY
Did I ask you to look for me? did I beg you to look for me?
DERRICK
wow, oh wow!!! I guess my mum was right after all….i should have known a sl-ut will always be a sl-ut….
KIMBERLY
(she got up and gave him a slap)
get the hell out of my house before I do something crazy to you.
DERRICK
I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that
KIMBERLY
I said get out
(she screamed at him)
Derrick stare at her for a while before he dropped the envelope on her table and left…. Kimberly took the envelope and opened it, her hands started to shake, she couldn’t believe what she saw in the picture…..”you witch you should have just killed me, oh my God this woman has ruin my life”
she fell on the floor crying.
Derrick wasn’t in his right frame of mind, all he nee-ded to do was talk with his brother, and he wanted it to be face to face so he drove to his brother’s place forgetting that his mother might be watching him.
He drove to Marcel’s gate and parked outside before he walked into the compound, he met his brother and clarissa seating in the garden.
CLARISSA
hey Derrick
DERRICK
hey clarissa
MARCEL
what’s up bro?
DERRICK
I’m good…you?
(he said shaking his brother)
MARCEL
I’m good….are you okay? you don’t look good?
CLARISSA
I will just check what I have on the fire
(she said and excused herself)
MARCEL
What’s up…what’s wrong with you?
DERRICK
why are some woman so evil? why ?
MARCEL
I don’t un-derstand…how do you mean?
DERRICK
(he kicked against telling his brother)
don’t worry bro….i miss you so much so I decided to drop by…I will be heading home now.
MARCEL
Are you sure you are okay Derrick?
DERRICK
(He fake a smile)
I’m okay….
MARCEL
have you found kimberly
He whispered because he didn’t want clarissa to know her sister has gone missing.
DERRICK
She was never missing bro, she went out to flex and didn’t care if people will be worried about her.
he said and got up, Marcel wasn’t sure of what his beither meant but since it seems like he doesn’t want to talk about it.
Marcel got up to and walked his brother to where he parked his car outside the gate.
immediately they stepped out snake started taking pictures of the two of them… Derrick entered his car and drI’ve away and Marcel went back into his compound.
snake took his phone and called the queen mother.
MRS ELIZABETH
tell me
SNAKE
I just found that where the prince lives.
Mrs Elizabeth smiled to himself and dropped the call.

For a whole week snake has been following Marcel everywhere he went to, and he was surprised to find out clarissa also stay in the same house with marcel.
He asked a few people around and he was informed that clarissa owns the house and Marcel is just a tenant.
when Mrs Elizabeth heard this she couldn’t believe her eye, she couldn’t believe her son, the crown prince is staying in a house of a commoner, she couldn’t bear it anymore.
Without informing her husband she took some palace guards and called Mirabelle to meet her at home so they could go get her man that she knows where he stays.
Mirabelle drove like a mad woman to the palace, she parked her car and joined Mrs Elizabeth in her car.
MIRABELLE
I can’t believe you finally found my husband…thanks do much mum
MRS ELIZABETH
(She smiled)
I told you I will do anything for you, you are the perfect match for my son, not that stupid girl.
MIRABELLE
I’m glad you still have my back mum unlike the king that already turned his back on me.
MRS ELIZABETH
don’t worry, what the king says or thinks does not matter, what matters is how my son feels about you and I’m sure it’s pure love…his just confuse and today we are going to get ride of that confusion.
They talked till they got to the address snake sent to the queen, she ordered one of the guards to come down and open the gate, the guards did as instructed, he came down and opened the small side, went inside and opened the gate for the driver to enter.
clarissa and Marcel wondered who could be entering their compound like the own the house, beside it wasn’t just one car that drove in, Marcel got up and came outside and clarissa followed him to.
immediately Marcel saw the cars his heart jumped from his body, “queen Elizabeth” was boldly written on the plate number, how could he not recognize it.
Mrs Elizabeth’s maidens came out and started pouring flowers for her to walk upon….clarissa was in shock, she wondered who the woman is and what she is doing in her compound with so much confident.
CLARISSA
Good evening ma….how may…
MARCEL
she’s my mother Clarissa
(he said sadly)
MRS ELIZABETH
so here you are you prodigal son
Mirabelle walked up to Marcel and lifted up her hand to slap him, she wanted to slap him for deceiving her, for hurting her.
but she didn’t know that the tradition of Marcel’s kingdom forbids a woman from hitting a man.
MRS ELIZABETH
don’t Mirabelle, if you slap him you can never be his wife ever again….you can’t lose now after you have reached this far….our tradition forbids it.
Mirabelle turned to clarissa and gave her a dirty slap instead.
MIRABELLE
Because I can’t slap him doesn’t mean I can’t sla….
she was saying but clarissa returned the slap double for her which left Marcel and his mother speechless.
MRS ELIZABETH
How dare you touch my daughter in-law with that curse hand of yours?
CLARISSA
I do not know you and I have no beef with you, but I won’t have you come to my house and intimidate me because you are what? royalty?
she turned and looked at Marcel, pain filled in her eyes and that moment might feared he hasn’t lost clarissa.
MRS ELIZABETH
How dare you talk to queen Elizabeth like that
she said raising her hand to slap her but Marcel shedded her.
MARCEL
mother would you stop this nonsense? what are you even doing here mother?
MRS ELIZABETH
I have come to take my son home, and not even this witch can stop me.
MARCEL
them you will have to drag me into the car then because I’m going nowhere with you…..mum when will you realize non of your kids are children anymore and that we can make decisions for ourselves?
MRS ELIZABETH
I did not come here to exchange words with you, get into the car or I have you bundled into the car.
MARCEL
I dare you mum, I dare you.
CLARISSA
enough of this nonsense, Marcel or whatever you are…i want you to get the hell out of my compound with your crazy finacê and your mother…..I don’t want to come out and meet any of you here when I come back.
(she said trying to walk away)
MRS ELIZABETH
I can see you have a sharp mouth, I’m always ready to teach ill mannered children like how to respect elders.
CLARISSA
(she shook her head)
what a pity
she said and went into her apartment
Mrs Elizabeth felt the insult to the bone, she knows if she react Marcel wouldn’t be please with her…so she stayed calm but she was definitely going to teach clarissa a lesson she won’t forget.
MARCEL
clarissa please wait, please
he said trying to run after her but Mirabelle held him strong
MIRABELLE
Are you that shameless marcel? you ain’t even remorseful for lying to me? to your family?
MARCEL
(He pushed her away)
Shameless? what should I be ashamed of? that I fell in love? or that I left because you guys wanted to for-ce me to a commitment I will regret forevery…..tell me exactly what I should be ashamed for?
(he screamed at her)
MRS ELIZABETH
Enough of this talk, Jaja, bundle him
into the car.
(she told her guard)
Jaja and two other guards moved forward to do as the qeen has instructed them, but Marcel smiled and moved back a little.
MARCEL
You dare try to take an order of a woman? I dare you to touch me, I dare you to touch me and….no, may the gods visit you with a disease that would kill you within three days if you dare touch me…. immediately the guards moved back, he is the crown prince and just like his father he has so much authority too and the gods can do exactly what he said.
MRS ELIZABETH
I see that you have really grown wings….Don’t worry I will come back for you.
she told her son and turn to face Jaja, she gave him a dirty slap.
MRS ELIZABETH
You fool, take me out of you.
Jaja opened the car door and she entered, Marcel didn’t even wait for his mother to leave the compound before he ran to Clarissa’s flat.
He knocked but clarissa did not answer him, he knocked and knocked but Clarissa was still in shock….She couldn’t believe that Marcel would lie to her like that, she wasn’t really go face him or listen to what he has to say.
Marcel sat at the door there begging her to open the door but Clarissa didn’t open the door.
Marcel got tired and went to his apartment, he took his phone and called his brother to tell him what just happened.
