episode 41
Kimberly thought the job in kano would be as simple as the rest of the once she has done before, it took her more than four days to finally convinced her clients to sigh the deal.
she was very glad she was finally able to go back home
immediately she arrived the airport, she called Derrick to inform him she was in town.
KIMBERLY
Hello Mr no nonsense man
DERRICK
(He giggles)
hello Mrs unpredictable
KIMBERLY
(She chuckled)
how’s your day going?
DERRICK
Boring without you in it
KIMBERLY
You flatter too much abeg
DERRICK
I’m being serious madam.
KIMBERLY
Well, I just arrived, I’m about to take a cab home now
DERRICK
wait, you mean you are back in town?
KIMBERLY
Yup, my flight just landed…..i thought to let you know first.
DERRICK
Just wait I will come pick you up
KIMBERLY
That will take a long time Rick, let me just take a cab, later you can come over
DERRICK
I insist please
KIMBERLY
okay fine, I’m just gonna hang around for twenty minutes if you are not here, I’m going home.
DERRICK
You will see me before the twenty minutes.
(he said and hung up)
immediately he picked his car keys and headed out, he met doctor Steve
DERRICK
I’m leaving you in charge, I won’t be coming back today
STEVE
alright doc….take care
he said and headed his own way while Derrick rushed to where he parked his car.
some minutes later he arrived at the airport, there she was waiting with her black sunshade, beautiful fitted black gown that went hand in hand with her shoes….derrick was the first to notice her because she was busy talking to someone on the phone, he moved closer to her and tickled her wai-st making Kim to frighten
KIMBERLY
Derrick, will you stop doing that
DERRICK
(He Laughed)
you were so lost in your own world that you didn’t even notice me walk up to you
KIMBERLY
I will call you back
(she said to the caller)
Derrick opened his arms and she filled them hu-gging him so ti-ght.
DERRICK
it’s good to have you back Kim
DERRICK
yeah, I’m happy to be back home too….i miss it
DERRICK
And?
KIMBERLY
(She hit him playfully un-derstanding what he meant)
and I miss you too.
DERRICK
Better, I will just take this
he said taking her bag and she followed him from behind, He put her bag in the truck and came to open the car door for her.
KIMBERLY
I remember I told you the last time to stop opening the car door for me, it makes me feel weird.
DERRICK
Stop being sas-sy joor, oya her royal majesty enter the car so we can go.
KIMBERLY
(Hits him playfully and entered the car)
Derrick know she would be so hungry so he took her to an eatry to buy them food before taking them home, but Kim insisted she wanted to eat home made food, that ever since she went to kano she has been eating out and she doesn’t like that….derrick had to order grocery of all kinds of stuff she nee-ded.
until that day Kim didn’t even know stuffs like that could be ordered online.
They Arrived home and she quickly rushed upstairs to freshen up, she had a long shower before she wore a black bum short and a very big white polo shirt and came to join Derrick downstairs
DERRICK
I thought the princess got swallowed by the water.
KIMBERLY
You can’t blame me, I had to wash away the kano’s stress away from my beautiful skin.
DERRICK
(He chuckled)
I think someone is being so proud
KIMBERLY
(She walked to the kitchen but answered him)
that’s not being proud, indeed you know I’m beautiful.
she took a pack of jui-ce and two glas-ses then some snacks and went back to the living room.
KIMBERLY
Since our order hasn’t arrived yet, I think we should just catch some Cruises with this.
DERRICK
nice idea
KIMBERLY
you know, until today I never knew one could order groceries online
DERRICK
Really? well I got to know that throu-ghmy mum, she never sends any of the maids to the market, she will just make the call and the house are refilled.
KIMBERLY
Maids? like you people have plenty maids or what?
DERRICK
huh, you know my dad is someone who doesn’t….
he was trying to think of something to say but nothing came to mind, he was so grateful when a knock came throu-ghthe door.
she dropped her glas-s of jui-ce and went to check who was knocking.
She opened the door and met a young man with an outfit that shows she’s the dude they have been waiting for.
she collected the stuffs from him and sighed before the young man went his way and she returned back to the living room.
KIMBERLY
it came quicker than I expected
DERRICK
I told you.
KIMBERLY
You are joining me in the kitchen right?
DERRICK
Me? I don’t know what to do there
KIMBERLY
(She stopped to look at him)
wait, like you have never cooked before?
DERRICK
more or less water
KIMBERLY
(She laughed)
you must come from a very wealthy home then, growing up things like this was necessary
DERRICK
Maybe because you are a girl
KIMBERLY
partially but because in every common home a child must engaged in one home activities or the other.
DERRICK
Well, I can’t say my dad is supper rich, but where I come from men do not go into the kitchen, especially men like…
KIMBERLY
“especially men like”?
DERRICK
Nothing, you know what? I’m gonna follow you to that kitchen, teach me everything I didn’t learn before.
he said standing up and collecting the bag of groceries from her and heading to the kitchen.
Kim wondered what Derrick is trying to hide from her, she waved the thought aside and followed him to the kitchen.
In less than two hours semo and vegetables soup was made, it was the second time Derrick was actually going go taste swallow, he and his brother doesn’t eat solid food, the first time he tried it was at Marcel’s place and Kim was the one who brou-ght the food.
maybe because he was attra-cted to her at first sight that was why he found it very easy to swallow the food, his brother Marcel didn’t dare go close to the food because it’s something he has never taken before but surprisingly Derrick seems to like and enjoy it.
KIMBERLY
I miss this, I feel like pouring it all in my stomach at once
DERRICK
(He giggles)
I’m just gonna say rest in peace to your innocent and beautiful throat
KIMBERLY
(She laughed)
let us pray….father we thank you for life, we thank you for the safe flight, we thank you for the families you have given us, we thank you for the friends you have given us, and we thank you for this food, bless it, bless us, amen.
DERRICK
Amen
she washed her hands and started eating while Derrick picked a fork and wanted to eat with it, Kim took it from him and asked him to try eating it with his hands that he will enjoy it better.

Clarrias-s drove in from work, she looked very stressed and hungry, Mr Samuel had called her earlier to meet up that he has a business proposal for her, with the help of Marcel she dressed beautifully well and s-×y that it took Mr Samuel close to twenty seconds to close his mouth.
he couldn’t believe the same girl he met last month who wore native on a joggers was the same lady standing in front of him, Clarissa felt uncomfortable with the way he stared at her but she didn’t get offended because she un-derstand that her transformation could come as a shock to anyone, if marcel hasn’t been around that morning she would have probably dressed like a masquerade again to see samuel.
she opened her car door and came down, locked it and was about going to her flat when marcel’s door opened, she turn to see if it was Marcel or her ears deciving her.
MARCEL
see who finally decided to come home after a long day
CLARISSA
(She smiled and started to walk toward him)
I swear I’m so tired and hungry, it’s been a crazy day….good evening
MARCEL
Evening dear, come I have a surprise for you.
he said taking her hand bag from her and leading her into the living room.
the entire room was dark and clarrias-s wondered why.
CLARISSA
why is everywhere so dark Marcel
MARCEL
well, it’s dark because the surprise can only be appreciated in darkness….just follow my step okay.
He said grabbing her hand and leading her to the dining room, where red and white candles were set on the table, a bottle of wine at a conner, beautiful dishes of different kinds placed beautifully along side the wine.
clarrias-s couldn’t close her mouth, she wondered what they were celebr@ting because she was sure it wasn’t her birthday.
CLARISSA
What’s going on Marcel, what are we celebr@ting?
MARCEL
Nothing much, when you left this morning it strucked me that today made it exactly six month we met, six months ago I walked throu-ghthat gate looking for a house to live in, and I met a beautiful angry woman who welcomed me with bucket of water,
(he said and chuckled)
A woman who has been throu-ghalot yet is still open to love, a woman who found someone like me worthy to become her friend, well, since I wasn’t too busy today I decided to celebr@te today with you, I hope the food taste nice because I used the help of google, thank God I didn’t burn down the whole house.
(he said and they both chuckled)
Clarrias-s, thanks for letting me rent a house here, thanks for accepting to be my friend.
(He said sweetly to her)
Clarrias-s felt this kind of emotions that she has never felt in her entire life before, her body was replaced with a fixed feeling that she didn’t know how to express it or work on it, she found herself in the arms of Marcel crying and telling him how he has succeeded in making her feel the way no one else has ever made her feel.
Marcel held her so ti-ght in his arms too not wanting to let go at all.
After the long hu-g and cry, Marcel pulled away from the hu-g and wiped away her years, he pulled out a table for her and helped her to sit.
He pulled out a table for himself too, but he served them first before he sat down.
MARCEL
So, I will let you take the first bite and tell me how bad I performed
CLARISSA
(She giggles)
okay, let’s do this.
she took her fork and first tried the beef he ftied, she chew for some time, nodded her head and moved to taste the rice, she nodded her head again with saying anything, she tried the chicken sauce too, she nodded her head again.
the silent was killing Marcel, he wanted her to just say it already.
MARCEL
talk joor, I’m already dying here
CLARISSA
calm down na, is it not you that ask me to taste? I’m still tasting ooh
MARCEL
is okay, the ones you have tasted is enough, pas-s judgment
CLARISSA
well, since I’m dealing with an impatient man, I will just count the vote immediately
MARCEL
hallelujah, just get it over with please
CLARISSA
(she Laughed)
So tell me, which restaurant did you order all this food from?
MARCEL
what? I made them myself, you know I will never lie or decieve you.
CLARISSA
(She looked at him strangely and smiled)
so you mean Google made food can taste this good? damn this food is so delicious marcel…..the chicken is well spicy, the beef, you fried it just the way I love it, and the rice though its a bit ha-rd, but others would prefer it this way but because I easily get indigestion I cook my rice very soft but it’s nice and tasty….. everything is perfect marcel.
MARCEL
You are flattering me I know, just tell me how bad it taste joor
CLARISSA
You don’t believe me? I will never lie to you, I’m telling you the truth, everything here is perfect and how did you know I will come back this hungry?
MARCEL
God I guess
CLARISSA
that God really did well by telling you, I didn’t eat all day going from one place to another with Mr Samuel.
MARCEL
yeah, tell me how did your day go with him
CLARISSA
(She took a full spoon of rice)
my dear, Mr Samuel was so surprised to see me, in fact eeh he said he was going to take it upon himself to take me to all the places I was supposed to sign deals with his friends, he wanted them to swe how beautiful and s-×y and ha-rd working his female decorator is.
MARCEL
(He chuckled)
the dude must really be a funny guy
CLARISSA
Are you telling me, when we got to Mr Raymond’s office, according to him he said Raymond is his younger cousin, he introduced us and told Ray good things aboutmmme….Ray impressed oh and decided to sigh me the deal of his mansion to decorate….with a fat mouth watering payment ooh
(she said happily)
MARCEL
someone seems very excited
CLARISSA
very happy, that’s not all, I met about three of his other friends and they sigh me some deals too…they promise to sign more contract with me if I deliver just like the way Samuel priased me……if business continue like this, in five years time even dangote will be un-der me
(she joked)
MARCEL
I’m just glad things went well out there for you today.
CLARISSA

MARCEL
