BRIAN POV
I walked into the hospital feeling kind of nervous to see Emma.
After last night displ@ywith Alicia,I had returned to the room only to find her pretending to be asleep.
I didn’t bother to say any thing and since she didn’t make a fuss about what she saw,I decided to take my bathe and then I sle-pt on the couch.
The earlier she un-derstands that it’s best that she gives me a divorce,The better it will be for the both of us.
I had woken up early only to find her up,She was dressed and she didn’t speak to me,I was in the shower when I heard the door,She was gone when I returned to the room and she had left a little note for me.

On re-ading it,I wanted to go straight after her but I knew that I couldn’t,I shouldn’t even get close to her,It’s all over now and it’s best it stays that way.
She will be far better with William than with me and the sooner I convince her of it,The better.
I got to William ward only to see him wanting to leave,If it weren’t for the male nurses who held him back,He would have left his room.
“You don’t un-der stand,Have got to find her,Have got to find her!”He said as tried to pas-s them.
Who is he looking for so desperately ,I thought as I kept walking towards them
“She is being looked for”One of the nurse replied.
“Just let me go out and search,She only had to get me some water at the cafeteria.”William said still trying to f0rç£ his way past them.
I Walked towards them and if they weren’t so focused on william,They would have noticed my arrival.
“What’s going on? Who are you looking for ?”I asked Starring at them.
William moved out of the nurses hold and c@m£ straight to me.
“Your wife! Your wife is the one am looking for!”He said and I stared at him in shock.
“What ru-bbish! Why would she be missing?”I asked him and he pu-ll-ed me by my collar
This is all your fault! I told you to leave her alone,I told you to let her go before it’s too late but you wouldn’t listen, Am sure your father is the one behind all this, The attack yesterday and also Her disappearance today”
“You better find her before some thing bad happens,You better find her !?”He yelled at me
Not bothering to listen to any of William warnings,I ran back out side.
“What’s wrong your majesty?”Peter asked as he c@m£ towards me.
“My wife is missing!Call for back up,You can track my location right?”I asked and he nodded
“Then do so and plea-se hurry up”I said as I got into the car turning on the tracking device.
It was the same device I had used in tracking her down before and I will be doing the same thing now,I just hope that when I get there it won’t be too late.
EMMA POV
I woke up due to the sound I was hearing ,It was the voice of a man and he was speaking on the phone.
He didn’t notice that I was up yet because he was busy with his phone.
I looked around and saw that we were in a little house and judging by the way it looked you can tell that it has been abadoned for a while.
“Yes boss,She is here”On hearing that,I focused on what the man was saying.
” I didn’t make any mistake this time”
“What do you want me to do to her,Scare her more or perhaps should I just finish her off”He said and I gulped down my saliva.
Was he going to kill me? Will I die like this,I thought as I kept on starring at him.
“Oh that! Would that really scare her?”He asked smiling
“Okay then,I will do as you say”He said and cut the call.
Then he turned towards me and gave me a smile
“The queen have finally woken “He said slightly
“Who are you and what do you want with me?”I asked as I sat up moving away from him
“Nothing in p@rticular,I don’t have a problem with you or your husband,Am just doing what my boss have hired me for”He replied
“Who is your boss? What does he want with me” I asked now feeling nervous
“Do you think I will tell you that?” He asked as he began to head to the door
“Where are you going?”I asked
“Leaving you as they instructed me”He answered
” Why would you leave me here!”I asked more frightened than ever.
“Believe me,I would have love to stay here and do other things with you but I can’t,So sweetie just stay here till some one finds you”He said and went out of the room.
quic-kly I ran after him “plea-se,plea-se don’t leave me here,Am scared,More scared of being here alone”I begged as I ban-ged the door but there was no reply.
I knew I was locked in and that he was gone, I found that my heart was beating fast,Out of fright,This always happens each time am locked in an unfamiliar room.
I don’t know why it happens but I always suffer from attack each time am locked in.
Just then I heard foot step and quic-kly I ran to the chair to hide from whoever is coming.
I closed my eyes,Wanting to make all of it disappear but it never happened.
I opened my eyes only to see the room filled with lights and there I was,My five year old self pla-ying with some toys on the floor.
I looked so happy and care free but every thing changed when some one walked in.
I saw my little self running to hide behind the washing machine.
Feeling scared and hoping that the person wouldn’t find me but he did.
He pu-ll-ed me out and began to hit me,The adult face wasn’t clear enough but I could see myself clearly.
I was crying profusely,Begging him to st©p because the pain was too much.
What could a five year old child have done to deserve such beating.
He left and I saw my little self on the floor,Crying helplessly,With out no one to comfort or to stay with her
Just then every thing darkened and the house bec@m£ itself again.
Was I hallucinating,I thought as I held my che-st
What I just saw now! Could it be true? Was I abused when I was little? I thought
Why didn’t I remember it before,Why am I just remembering now.
The door opened and when I saw who it was, I ran into his arms, Crying into it.
“Don’t worry love,Am here now”Brian said as he held me ti-ghtly.
Those reas-suring words were the last thing I heard before I fainted.
BRIAN POV
“Will she be fine doctor?”I asked as I went to where Emma was slee-ping.
“Yes she will be fine,She just nee-ds enough rest”He said and left the room.
I went to her and sat down on the empty chair which was beside the be-d.
“This is all your fault! I told you to leave her alone,I told you to let her go before it’s too late but you wouldn’t listen, Am sure your father is the one behind all this, The attack yesterday and also Her disappearance today”
William words c@m£ back to haunt me,Emma being this way is all my fault,I should have just find a way to leave with my parents but I can’t seem to bring myself to leave her,I thought sadly.
I have to do it no matter what,Emma happiness is all am seeking for.
I bent to k!ssher fore head and I was rising up when I saw her eyes opened.
“Finally! You are awake”I said as I gave her a smile.
A smile she never returned,She was looking at me In a strange way.
“Why did you lie to me?”She asked suddenly.

“Lie?”I asked starring at her in shock,What did she know?
“Why did you lie to me Brian”She asked again
“What are you talking about Emma?”I asked gently
She stared at me and then looked away, What is wrong with her? Why is she acting this way? I thought as my heart began to beat fast,Waiting for her response.
“You love me, You still want me and you still want our marriage,You coming to save me proved that,What ever you have going with Alicia is all a lie”She said.
Just knowing that she hadn’t guessed the truth made me feel so relieved.
I don’t want her knowing the truth in this manner,Not when my father is still the great king and am the king.
The day she knows the truth will be the day I hand over her right full place to her.
And I won’t be able to achieve that if I keep on being by her side.
Am nothing but trouble for her.
She nee-ds to see that am not the one for her,She has to,I thought as I left her side and went to stand by the window
“And so! What if I love you, I can also fall out of love right? “I asked
“Brian!”she called sadly
“St©p it Emma! My decision for a divorce have been made,You will grant me a divorce and I will marry the mother of my unborn child”I said
“You don’t mean it Brian”She said as the tears began to pour helplessly
“Believe what ever you want Emma, When the divorce papers are in front of you then you will certainly believe me”I said and walked out of the room.
As soon as I closed the door,I leaned on it and I could hear her cries.
It broke my heart to hear her cry but every thing will be alright with time.
She will learn to live her life with out me and I will also learn to do the same thing.
Time to get my thought into action,Seeing dad will be the first thing I do,I thought as I went in search of him.
The guards announced my arrival and I was summoned in .
“Am surprised that you didn’t barge in like you always do”He said
“That’s because have not come here for a fight,We nee-d to talk father”I said as I sat down on one of the empty chairs.
“So what are we going to talk about?”He asked
“About Emma”I replied
“What about her ?”He asked
“It’s time she have what right fully belongs to her”I said
“What?”He asked as he stood up from his chair
“We both know that a time will come when we have to give back every thing to her and that time is now father”I said
“Never,Did you hear me! I won’t give her any thing,Have worked so ha-rd for years just to get to where I am,Just to give you and your mom a good life and am not re-ady to give it up yet”He said
“I knew you were going to say that,After all you are greedy,If you weren’t greedy dad,You wouldn’t have killed your brother just to get to the throne”I said and Was rewarded with a sl@p on the face
“What I did I did for you most especially,You should be supporting me,You should be helping me not her,I am your father and she is just your………..”
“She is the victim here dad,She is the one who suffered most, Didn’t you ever feel guilty, what would you have done if the same thing had happened to me?”
“I won’t ever allow it to happen and this is all in the past,So now Son forget all this nons-en-se and be happy with her,I won’t interfere,I won’t do any thing,Just don’t tell her the truth”He begged
“Sooner or later she will find out and before that happens I want us to have given her what belongs to her”I said
“How stupid can you get,Don’t you see that all this is ours now,We don’t have any thing to give because it’s ours”He said adamantly
“Fine since you still insist on taking what’s not yours,I will take this issue to court members”I said
“What? Just for that girl you are willing to give me out”He asked
“This is not about me giving you out dad, It’s the right thing to do,So it’s either we leave this place and give her what is hers or I take it to the court members,Lets see how they see you when it’s all out in the open” I said and then left his office.
Greediness,That is what led my father into destroying a happy life.
The life that should have been Emma’s, The little I can give back I will give back to her Because it is what belong to her and her alone.
EMMA POV
I Stood in the garden starring at the moon and stars.
After the discussion I had with Brian this afternoon,I stayed in all day.
I didn’t go out to eat nor did I accept any food brou-ght to me.
All I wanted was for Brian to see how much he was hurting me with this divorce thing.
I love him and he loves me too but he is holding back because of some thing.
Ever since that fall of Alicia in the hospital,He has been on about this Divorce thing.
He wouldn’t be doing it for Alicia sake,He made me un-der stand that he never like Alicia.
Even when she got pregnant,He was still furious with her.
So why Is he suddenly saying that he wants to marry her.
There must be some thing to it and I must find out.
I thought heading back to the palace,Intent on seeing Brian and forcing the truth out of him If necessary.
I was climbing up the stairs when two guards c@m£ to me.
“What’s wrong?”I asked starring at the two of them
“The great king wishes to see you” One of them said
“This late,Can’t he see me tomorrow,I have to talk to my husband”I said to them but they held my hand
“You don’t have to go far,They are all waiting for you your Highness,You just have to come with us”He said and with out waiting for my response,They pu-ll-ed me.
I had no option than to go with them,I had to know why Brian and the great king want to see me……….
We got to the far end of the palace,We pas-sed throu-gh the kitchen and then into the hall that led to the storage room.
Have never been to the storage room before,Why would I go there when I have no business there but being there today made me feel strange.
Why would they want to see me in the storage room I thought staring at the two guards.
“See I don’t think this is good idea,I will just see them tomorrow”I said to the guards but they didn’t realease my hand.
We got to the door and they pushed me in, closing the door behind me.
The room was dark and I was frightened,I went to the door and began to knock but there was no one there.
I can’t stay locked up,I just can’t! I thought as I clutched my che-st.
