Standing up I glared at Fred, he lost his mind completely ” get one thing straight Fred, am not your mate and will never be, stay away from me ” I made sure the kids are back to playing before gro-aning at him
” am afraid I can’t do that Zoe ” he step closer but suddenly stopped, I feel Ares coldness emitting behind me
” she said you should stay away ” Ares growl but Fred step closer making me look like a mouse that two cats are fighting over to eat
” she gets to choose ” Fred mumbled ” you don’t deserve her ” Ares step closer, I know he is going to fight Fred, grabbing his arm I stopped him from taking another step
” let’s go Ares ” I stare at him, tiny dot of green are appearing in his eyes again ” let’s go home ” he look down at me before pulling his arm away from mine then out he went
” you will be mine Zoe ” I turn around and surprised with what I saw, red long lines disappearing from Fred ne-cks as his anger is cooling
These two men are what you call enemies, I have no idea why but the way things are. They must have crossed paths in the past and something happened
Hurrying back to Ares car, I open the car and got in ” I didn’t kis-s him, he kis-sed me and I push him away” his gaze met mine, his face totally expressionless, I couldn’t read his eyes
” do you like him ” was all he asked ” I don’t like the way you look at him Zoe ”
I shake my head quickly ” no, how could you think that, you are the one I want, I love you ” I muttered but that didn’t change his expression
” then stay away from him” Ares muttered ” don’t talk, see or meet him because it makes me really jealous ” I blink at Ares words he is really saying that to me?? Touching my cheek Ares didn’t smile ” when I hate, I hate with all I got, hate was the only thing I knew but you taught me how to love. I just realized that when I love I can kill whoever gets in my way ” Ares hands seem to be trembling now ” your birthday is close, I don’t wish for Fred to ruin things for me before that time ”
He keeps talking about my birthday like its something bad but nevertheless I nod my head at that, he haven’t smiled
Silence fell in the car as we drove home, is he still mad with me ” my dad calls you a bastard” Ares said nothing ” my family hates you now” still no respond ” they plan on sending me to a boarding school ” that got his attention, his gaze land on me for awhile before averting back on the road ” they might have gone mad looking for me ”
” then go home and meet them ” was his simple answer ” you are making life difficult for them so go home and see them, tell them you’re fine ”
” Ares, are you mad at me ”

” but you aren’t smiling ”
” because I don’t feel like it” what do I do to make his shitty attitude disappear ” are you still jealous ”

Walking back inside the house I sit on the ouch, Zar eating some fries and looking at his phone ” hi” I muttered
” Zoe, you’re still alive??” Zar asked ” I thought you might have died after eating Ares cake ‘

” what cake ??” Zar furrow his brows at my question looking confused ” that was yesterday, he woke up by five and baked a cake which later burnt, he did give it a try ”
” he never mentioned a cake ” I muttered,he actually baked for me?, i look at Zar again ” do you know who is Fred ”
Zar sit up at my question ” you mean the guy with brown eyes ” I nod, Zar look confused and surprise ” he survived, when did he come back??” I inch my right brow high then Zar hit his head ” Fred happen to be Ares brother ”
I laughed ” they look nothing alike” Ares has a brother, but why do they hate each other so much, like they are enemies ” but they hate themselves ”
” we call them fire and ice” Xar muttered sitting next to Zar ” Ares is fire and Fred is ice. The two don’t get along and the last time they fought…..” Xar shakes his head ” we still don’t know the winner since it was done in a larva”
Larva?? And they are still alive ” why do they hate each other and how did they survive ”
” long story Zoe, they were once play buddies, fight for each other and cared for each other but then Ares was…..”
” enough!!” Ares gro-an made three of us flinch back, his angry glares landing on us ” I decided to get one little shower and my life story is being shared ”

” don’t start Zoe ” he looks so annoyed” just don’t get into my past without my permission, is mine to tell no one else” he shoot Zar one last glare before turning back to his room
” what did you do to Ares Zoe” xar muttered, I said nothing to him, is Ares still angry, is this how long men jealousy lasts

Zoe
Picking up the toy I gifted Ares I hold it ti-ght then move to his room, open the door slowly, everywhere dark, walking in I shut the door behind me then sp-ot him sitting on his bed
Our gaze met ” Ares” I watch him lower his eyes to the cat toy in my arms ” you picked him??” I nod walking closer to him
” here” he collected it, stare at it for awhile then smile ” he always look angry ” he muttered
” just like you “sitting next to him on the bed I exhale ” are you still mad at me” I turn to his direction ” I didn’t mean to prey into your past, I just want to know why you two hate yourselves ”
” am not angry with you little mouse ” he touch my cheek” am angry with myself for pushing you away”
” you did….” He place his fingers on my li-ps shutting me up ” shh little mouse, I know what am saying ” lifting me up he place me on his lap ” let me kis-s you ” my breathing seem to be getting heavier

Opening my eyes Zoe is out of the room, standing to my feet, I shove my hands into my pockets then disappear to Desdemona dimension, everywhere moist and ha-rd to see anything

You slaughter them like animals and still never asked while vampires and descendants hate themselves ”
