Chapter Forty Three:
Zoe
It’s been three days, three days that Ares haven’t been home from wherever he went and am left worried ” are you okay Zoe ” Xar asked and I nod, Xar and Zar smile before leaving to their so called trip
Am left alone in the house, hugging my knee to myself I sit on the couch starring at nothing exactly, maybe I should go to may but then she will for-ce me to go home and if I meet my parents they won’t let me out of their sight
The door bell ring bringing me out of my thoughts, is Ares back, standing up I rush over then open it, Fred stood there smiling, his black trouser and white shirt perfectly fitted ” hi”
My face turn into a frown ” what are you doing here ” I asked ” you need to go ” I tried closing the door at his face but he hold it, his strength over powering my own as he walk into the house, shutting the door ” what are you doing ”
He lift his hands up ” I just want to talk to you, no harm is coming your way, just talk ” I step back, if Ares find out he came here, he will be so mad, he said I shouldn’t talk to Fred
” am not talking to you Fred ” I muttered looking around for anything that will help me in stabbing him if he tried anything stupid ” go home, get out ”
” you don’t un-derstand Zoe, we are meant to be, you weren’t suppose to meet Ares” Fred step closer ” you are made for me ”
Shaking my head I frown ” Ares and I are Destined To Meet, we are meant to be, so please stay away from me ” I muttered ” I don’t want trouble, please go away ”
” why” I could see hurt in Fred eyes ” why is everyone always choosing Ares over me!! Why am I the one always fighting for attention ” he is starting to freak me out now ” why is he also stealing my mate”
” Fred??” I step back, my leg missing a step resulting in me falling down, my heart kept increasing with each step he takes closer ” Fred” crawling back I stop the moment my back hit the wall
His brown eyes has turn completely red and those lines appearing around his ne-ck once again, my whole body is trembling with fear, I know he isn’t in his senses anyway
” come with me Zoe ” he straight forth his hands, wings burst out of his back, white colour ” stay with me ” his voice has completely change to someone else’s
” stay away from me ” smacking his hands away, he stood still starring at me, not smiling or frowning, Ares, where are you??
Looking around a bottle caught my attention, I lift my fingers but the bottle isn’t moving, I usually move things, why isn’t it moving

Before I could think forward, Fred hands grip my arm lifting me up ” stop it…..I don’t want to be with you” all what I said fell to deaf ears, he throw me over his shoulder ” put me down ” hitting his back I kept struggling while he walk out of the house then fly to the sky ” Ares!!!!!”

Appearing back into my room I check my time, I spent three hours over there which means three days in the real world, fu-ck. I should have wrap things fas-ter
Opening my room door I walk straight to Zoe room, everywhere empty, she might be in the dining room eating, Xar and Zar are suppose to be in the council today for the meeting about lunox death
Closing her door I walk downstairs, shoving my hands into my pockets, something seem to be wrong, a familiar scent caught my nose, fastening my steps down to the living room, Zoe is no where to be found, I quickly move to the dining and the kitchen, still no sign of her
Is she in May house, she might have gone out but where, I really do have a bad feeling about all things. Walking to the living room I stopped, my gaze move down, bending I pick up the feather laying around
Moving it close to my nose, I inhale the scent, my hand clench together ” Fred” I muttered, the feather falling from my hands, what was he doing here
Lifting my both hands I close my eyes ” make me see, I want to see” it felt like I got pushed to the past
Zoe sitting on my favorite chair hugging her knees to herself, feeling lonely without me, the door bell rang Fred for-ce himself inside the house. I listen to their conversation and watch Fred lose himself to envy just like before, making Zoe scared, hoping I show up to save her
But this time he throw Zoe over his shoulder then out they went, how dare he touch what’s mine. Coming back to the present, my hands move to my che-st, my heart beat increasing more than necessary ” Salvador ” I muttered pain flowing to my body
” he took what’s ours, he must pay” Salvador voice rang in my head, my eyes half green and half silver ” with his life” we both said together, turning my hands into a fist, I could feel myself increasing in size imagining what he might be doing to Zoe and that’s all what it took for iron spikes to shoot out of my skin, forming in a wings shape
She waited for me, she place her faith one me, hoping I will save her from that monster controlling Fred, hoping I will be her knight in shining armor but I was late, I was late once again, putting Zoe life in someone else hands
I can’t lose her, I found her first, she is meant to be mine, she is all I have in this life, she is mine to keep and protect
Brother or not, what’s mine is protected

Chapter Forty Four:
Zoe
The moment we land on ground, I struggle out of his grip falling on my arse, damn that hurt, my gaze meet his, those red eyes back to brown and his wings went back into his body
Looking around I notice we are in a cave but where exactly is this place ” are you okay ” Fred asked, I look up at him, he looked worried ” I just wanted some time alone with you, I will take you back soon ”
” Ares will be worried”
” stop thinking about him” Fred yell freaking me out ” just for few minutes think about only me ” I watch him sit down on the ground, just five feet’s away from me ” little mouse ” I frown at those words that came out of his mouth
” don’t call me that ” my voice was rou-ghthan I intended ” only Ares use that word no body else ” he lift his hands up and somehow that texture cool down my anger
” I just thought that was your nickname or something ” he chuckle ” you look cute when you’re angry ” I wasn’t laughing nor was I smiling with him
” what are you planning?? Keeping me here till I develop feeling for you??” I asked getting tired of seeing his face ” I will never have feelings for you, get over me and find someone else ”
” look Zoe, you’re my mate, why are you not feeling anything towards me ?”
” because I love Ares!!” Am yelling now ” I want to be with him not you…and am pregnant for his child ” tears drop from my eyes ” I haven’t even tell him the good news yet and you for-ce me over here ”
” that’s impossible ” Fred muttered standing to his feet ” a descendants can never conceive a vampire child” I frown at his words. Firstly Salvador call me a descendants now Fred and I heard vampires and descendants don’t get along with each other
Am I a descendants
Is that why I was left in a basket, what was my parents like. Ares know all the answers to this, he said he was the one that kept me in that basket himself
” honey ” warm hands cu-p my face, Ares body is always cold that means. Blinking I came back to reality and flinch backwards, away from Fred hands
” little mouse ” that voice, turning to the exit of the cave, Ares stood there, he look so angry, iron spikes at his back, his eyes silver and green ” Ares?” I stand to my feet but before I could move towards him Fred hold me back
I turn around, his wings also out and those brown eyes back to red colour ” let her go Fred ” Ares step closer, with each footsteps the ground seem to crack. Fred shove me behind him and walk straight to Ares
They stood one inch apart from each other ” you will stay away from Zoe ” Ares hands swiftly wrap itself around Fred ne-ck but Fred didn’t bulge, just stood there before doing exactly the same thing

All I could think of is putting Zoe in a safe place, if this cave collap-se she will fall down and die, I know she has no idea this place is on the sky, another dimension
Fred hands ti-ghten around my ne-ck, what do he think he is doing, squeezing me to death, I let my hands fall from his ne-ck, I watch his face grow into smiles thinking he has got me
Last time we fought in that larva I had to throw his arse out before it shoot up, he thinks he can compare himself to me?? ” your last words Ares” Fred muttered, my gaze move to Zoe, she look worried, worry am about to die and I suddenly want all this to be done in a hurry
Holding Fred’s arm, I add pressure to it pulling them from my ne-ck before breaking it into two, his screams fill the whole place before I throw him out of the cave ” Ares??” Zoe run into my arms crying ” I thought you were going to die, why are these irons spikes behind you…Salvador is this your doing???” She rush her words crying and frowning
A wild wind seem to be coming, I push Zoe back before a sword pierce from my back to my stomach ” Ares!!!” I frown, look down before I realized I just got stabbed. Is this a joke
Fred pull the sword out and I cough blood out of my mouth then turn around, my fingers elongated as he charge toward me engaging his fist to my face which throw me straight to the wall
My body hit the walls hard, I look down my stomach, already healed but before I could move Fred swiftly stand in front of me, hitting my face over and over again, blood blur my visions ” die!!!” The moment his fist try touching my face my hands grab them ” my turn” pushing myself from the wall I grip that arm right out of his body
” fu-ck!!!” He yell using his legs he kick me back as I hit my head on a stone ” oh god…help!!!” My gaze quickly move to Zoe, her hands holding a tiny stone ” Ares!!” Forgetting about the pain in my body I fly right to her direction, shoving Fred out of the way
Holding her hands I lift her up into to my body and out of there, looking back Fred isn’t far behind, his arm slowly growing back
Coming to the main world, I drop Zoe close to a tree before turning around to face Fred three steps away from me, I walk towards him while he did the same
” stop!!!!” Zoe voice made us stop on our tracks, one inch away from each other ” you’re brother, why are you trying to kill yourselves” she is crying ” I don’t need two brothers fighting over me, I know who I want and is Ares, am pregnant for his child so Fred please go away !!” I watch Fred jaw clench together before punching me right in the face
” this doesn’t end here” he muttered ” if I ever see you again I will rip off your heart ”
” I will like to see you try ” we frown at each other, Fred turn around then fly away, the irons at my back went back in, feels like my bones are breaking into two. I fall to my knees ” Ares???” Zoe run over to me, worry in her eyes as she cu-p my face ” am sorry this is happening to you…if only am strong enough to beat Fred then you shouldn’t have come here ”
” we like you fragile ” Salvador and I said it the same time, making our voice de-eper than usual, closing my eyes I stay still for a minute before opening them once again. My eyes back to silver
Cleaning her tears I smile ” are you hurt ” I asked as she kept crying, she shook her head then sniff ” is just that your face has bruises all over” she move her hands to my li-ps and I gro-an in pain ” you’re hurt Ares”
” I know ”
” you need treatment, let’s go home ” I said nothing just stare at her, she look so beautiful while worried ” wait” I muttered, moving my hands to her face and tuck her hair behind her ear ” perfect ” I mumble, red colours appearing in her cheeks ” why did you lie to Fred that you’re with my child??” She bit her li-ps then smile
” I wanted him to stay away for good” bringing her tongue out she lic-k my li-ps ” besides I want you to breed me”
