“I’m sorry that I’m arriving late. I was stock in traffic” I said walking up to them and they all nodded.
“I thought you changed your mind and decided not to come” Monica said and I nodded.
“Don’t say that why wouldn’t I want to come? “I asked and sat down.
“I’m going to go arrange things so we can start” Monica said and woke up from her sit walking away.
“I’m also going to follow her. I may be of a-ssistant in arranging things” Mary said and also walked away leaving me and Alexis still sitted.
We looked at each other and immediately our eyes lock I looked away, avoid eye contact with him.
“How have you been?” he asked in a low turn and shaky voice.
“I’m fine Alexis. I’ve been doing great just this problem of ours dating that got on the way” I said and looked at him.
“It’s okay we are going to clear everything today and you won’t have to loss your career anymore” he said and I nodded.
“Aren’t feeling like your betraying yourself or anything” I asked and he nodded.
“You see have learn to move on Felicia. it’s not like we had a thing going on between ours right. By the way I know you love Daniel and not me so I decided not to use this means to take you from him. you deserve to be happy he said and I nodded.
“Actually it’s good to hear that. I thought I won’t be able to talk to you as before and you won’t like to see me” I said and he chuckled.
“Why wouldn’t I want to see you. you’ve been supporting me right from the very start of my career and when I started dreaming big” he said and I smiled.
“So we brother and sister right?” I asked and he smiled moving closer towards me then hu-gged me.
“Yes we are and we will always be” he said and hu-gged me ti-ghtly.
(cuffs)Time for emotions are over let’s go everything is ready” Monica said disengaging we both from the hu-ge.
Alexis woke up from his sit and smiled at me before walking away.
“Couldn’t you wait for us to finish before you interrupt? “I asked and she chuckled.
“You know I don’t always like to see romantic things right” she said and I nodded.
Just then as we both were about leaving to the conference room a ma-ssage rang into my phone and I looked at it.
“What is it Felicia? “Monica asked seeing the terrifying look on my face.
“Jane just texted me saying something bad has happened to Daniel” I said and she nodded.
“Don’t tell me your planning on leaving everything here to rush to the hospital” she asked and I nodded.
“I’m sorry Monica but I have to go” I said and she held my hand.
“There’s nothing that will happen to him that the hospital can’t handle. let’s go in and fix things with you career first” she said and I looked ahead then looked at the other side.
“It’s your career we are talking about here Felicia. I know you won’t want to let go of it like that, you have to fix things before you go to the hospital” she said.
“I don’t think my career is more important than my lovelife Monica” I said and removed my hand from hers.
Felicia no. you can go to the hospital after the conference, if you don’t feel pity for yourself how about Alexis who’s already out there can’t you at least save his career” she said and I that got me confused.
“Alexis career isn’t at any risk. it’s mine that’s on the line and I believe my love life is to come first before my career so I have to attend to it first” I said and walked away.
“Tell Alexis that I’m sorry I can’t be out there with him. Explain things to him and I know he will un-derstand my reasons for not being out there with him” I said as I walked away.
I rushed towards my car and informed my driver to hurry up and drive to the hospital.

Immediately he reached the hospital I walked out of the car rushing to Daniel’s office and I collide with Jane on the way.
“Jane, What happened to Daniel tell me?” I asked in shelver and he nodded.
“Wow I couldn’t even recognize that it’s you. Follow me we can’t talk here people might see you” he said and I nodded following him.
I followed him and he took me inside Daniel’s office, closed the door and the blinds.
“Where is Daniel now and how is he doing? “I asked again one more time and he nodded.
“Relax Daniel is fine. I asked you to come because you had told me something was wrong with Daniel and that I should help you find out, well I found something” he said in a low tune and I nodded.
“So what did you find?” I asked also keeping my voice down.
“I found out that you lied to him and everyman will react more than the way he did towards you but because he loved you he didn’t hurt you or do anything else” he said and it got me confused.
“what do you mean by I lied to him? I’ve never lied to him although I lie to others but not to him” I said and he nodded.
“Well if you say so come over to his table and see what I found out on his computer” he said and I followed him.
“I came into his office to look for some information about a patient and found this video of you and Monica having a deal on a length of time you are to date him” he said showing me the video.
“Although I still think this isn’t true but just take a look at it. everything is clear that you never loved him just by the way you promise to break up with him” he said.
I placed my hand on my mouth in shock seeing the video and wandering how he got this video.
“Who sent this to him? it isn’t true, I was only lying to Monica so she wouldn’t bother me about breaking up with Daniel” I explained.
“Well the senders informations are all fake but I do believe you won’t want to break up with Daniel cos you really love him that’s why I called you here to explain things for yourself.
“Where is him? I need to explain things to him, he got this all wrong” I said in tears and worries.
“I’m sorry Felicia but Daniel isn’t here at the hospital” he said and fear got hold of me.
“I’m going to meet him at his place” I said and wanted to walk away when he stopped me.
“He’s not at home either he has gone out of town to treat patients at a small village. I suggest you wait for him to come back” he said and I nodded.
“Text me the place I’m going there to meet him. I don’t want him to keep thinking that I lied to him and that I didn’t love him” I said walking towards the door.
“Thank you for telling me this Jane I’m really great full for this” I said and he nodded.
“It’s okay, I don’t want to see my best friend feeling hurt so I’ve to do everything possibly to make him smile, go and meet him” she said and I smiled walking out of the office.
Now I get why Daniel asked me that question, he should have told me about this. I’m really sorry that you got to be fooled like this Daniel I said as I walked towards my car.

I rushed home and packed a couple of cloths inside my big varlet. After I was done I went out of the house and locked the door.
I looked up and the weather wasn’t that good but I still kept my intentions on traveling.
I walked to my car and my driver collected my loggash and put it in the back boot of the car.
I entered the car sitting at the back seat while the driver sat at the front and he drove me to the bus station.
I quickly booked a ticket and sat down waiting for the bus which was going to come pick me and other pa-ssagers.
The bus arrived and we all entered the bus sitting on our respective seats. The weather still wasn’t looking good.
The driver initiatived the engines and started moving the car as everyone had taken his or her seats.
“please excuse me, how many hours does it take someone to get to Fenugreek village? “I asked the lady who sat close to me.
“It’s four to five hours miss and most of the times when the weather isn’t looking good like today the bus won’t make it there” she said and I nodded.
“So if the bus can’t make it there. what happens to people who want to go there? “I asked.
“They will usually stop and walk to the village cause big cars and vehicles like this bus can’t go there” she said and I nodded.
“Are you going there miss? “she asked and I nodded.
“Yes I’m going there” I said and she shook her head negatively.
“I’ll advise you not to go because the rain looks like it’s going to be falling with a storm which will eventually make it difficult for anyone to pa-ss at the mountain slope” she said and I nodded.
“What usually happen at the mountain slope? please tell me about it” I asked and she nodded.
“The mountain is a dangerous place during times like this. Many people usually loss their life around the mountain of Fenugreek village when a storm is coming” she said and I nodded.
“Young lady are you going to visit someone important to you over there? “she asked and I nodded.
“Yes I’m going to see a very important person in my life there and I’m afraid if I don’t see him and explain things to him we would never be together” I said and she nodded.
“So it’s all about the one you love” she said and I nodded.
“Yes” I said and she nodded.
“I can see your bravery, it’s better you rest now because you have a long journey ahead of you” she said and I nodded.
“Thanks you for tell me all this” i said and she smiled at me.
“Don’t worry the person you’re going to see is every happy to see you and I wish you a save travel” she said and I nodded.
“Thank you” I said and arranged my place to sleep very well.
This storm is not going to stop me from coming to meet you Daniel. you just wait for me I’ll coming.

(after the conference was cancelled)
“Alexis I see you tried to hold a conference you and Felicia. what happened did things not go as planned? “Mr Wang asked as I sat still thinking.
“What are you doing here?” I asked after seeing him sit down.
“Don’t you know my friend David is the head of this Company. I can come here anytime I want” he said and I nodded.
“So if you are actually here to see him you can go to his office, he’s not here” I said and he nodded.
“Well I was on my way to his office when I saw you and decided to pa-ss a ma-ssage to you from your a-ssistant.
What’s that her name again? “he said touching his head and thinking.
“Jessica should be here name” he said and that got my attention.
“What did she say to you tell me? “I asked and he looked at me quite Optimistic.
“Well you didn’t want me to stay here, what’s the need to tell you” he said and arise from his seat.
“Mr Wang tell me what did my a-ssistant tell you and where is she? “I asked and he smi-rked.
“I don’t think it’s a happy news for you to hear but since I’m interested in making your day more worst I’ll tell you” he said and I nodded.
“Take this she just applied for a resignation later” he said and dropped the letter on the table.
“she’s resigning? “I asked in shock and he nodded.
“She has already resigned because I signed the letter already so there’s no need asking if she is still to resign” he said smiling.
“Where is she now? “I asked.
“I don’t know after she came to my office I accepted her resignation letter, she left after I signed it so I don’t know where she went to” he said and walked away.
“Why would Jessica resign from her job of being my a-ssistant. I think I need to see Mary” I said and walked away to find Mary.
“Mary I need to ask you something” I said approaching her.
“What is it Alexis? ” she asked and I nodded.
“Where is Sarah? I need to talk with her” I said and she nodded.
“I’m sorry Alexis but I don’t know where Jessica is” she said and I nodded.
“Don’t lie to me Mary, you know where she is. Just tell me I want to ask her why she’s resigning” I said and she nodded.
“I really don’t know where she is Alexis. The last time I talked to her she said she was going to resign and I guess she just did” she said looking scared.
“Do you know her reasons for resigning? “I asked and she nodded.
“I don’t know? she used to even leave with me but now she has parked out” she said and I nodded.
“So where did she go too?” I asked.
“I still don’t know about this, Sarah is an old friend of mine and she only come and go when ever she likes” she said and I nodded.
“You don’t want to tell me where Sarah is right. Just wait and see I’m going to find her myself” I said and walk away from her.
