❣ FELICIA’S POV ❣
“Miss we are about to close, aren’t you leaving yet” a waitress said to me as I sat on the outside of the restaurant waiting for Daniel.
“Just give me few more minutes I’m sure he will be here” I pleaded and she accepted walking back into the restaurant.
“Why isn’t he here yet? it’s really cold out here” I asked myself sheltering out in the cold.
I looked at the road to see if his car had arrived but it was up to no avail.
I picked up the gla-ss of wine I had ordered for and sli-ps a little into my mouth and sat still patiently waiting for him.
“Miss its been hours since you’ve been sitting out here, why don’t you come sit inside the restaurant while waiting for your guest” the waiter said after seeing me shivering out here.
“Don’t worry I’m fine. I just want to see him arrive” I said and she nodded moving back to packing things.
I waited for minutes again and still no sign of him or he’s car.
“Waitress” I called and she quickly rushed towards me.
“Here is your money for the drink, I’m leaving” I said and she collected the money and went back to work.
I moved away from the restaurant walking slowly thinking that Daniel might still come. I’d tried calling me today but he won’t answer my calls nor reply my text messages. what have really happened to him?” I asked myself still thinking when a car almost hit me and I got pulled by someone.
“Felicia what are you thinking? Do you want to kill yourself? “Daniel asked and I quickly hu-gged him ti-ght.
“You came at last. You are here” I said happily and smiling as I hu-gged him.
“Let go off me first and tell me why you want to kill yourself? “he asked and I just kept smiling at him.
“Why are smiling tell me?” he asked and I nodded.
“I thought you won’t make it to the dinner but the restaurant is already close where are we going to eat together” I said smiling and he nodded.
“So is that why you want to kill yourself because I wasn’t here? “he asked and I nodded.
“No no no that’s not it I was just lost in my thoughts and didn’t pay attention to the road. Sorry I got you worried” I said and he nodded.
“That’s okay. Actually I’m not hear because of the dinner I’m here to talk to you” he said and I nodded.
“What do you want to talk to me about? “i asked and he nodded showing me way to his car.
“Let’s move into my car then we can have a talk” he said and I nodded.
Both of ours worked into his car and he drove with me not saying anything.
“I thought you wanted ours to talk in your car. where are you driving me too? “I asked as he kept driving with a minimum speed.
“It’s won’t be appropriate to talk in my car, reporters may see ours both together and that’s going to bring another talk on the news” he said and I nodded.
“So where are we driving too? “I asked and he flinched.
“I’m driving you to your house” he said and I nodded.
While he drove me home all I was asking my mind was “what does he want to talk to me about?”.
He stopped the car right in front of my residents and I stepped down and he also walked out of the car.
We both walked into my house silently and immediately we were in I turned on the lights.
“Let me go get you a gla-ss of water to drink” I said and he nodded.
I went into the kitchen took a gla-ss and filled water inside it, and headed back to the living room.
“Here you go” I said and he collected the water from me drinking it all and returning the gla-ss to me.
“Felicia can I ask you a question? “he said stopping me from going to keep the gla-ss and I nodded.
“Sure you’re free to ask me anything” I said and he nodded.
“Do you really love me? “he asked and I chuckled.
“What kind of question is that Daniel? “I asked and he look at him being very serious.
“Felicia do you really love me? “he asked again and this time I nodded smiling.
“Yes I do love you Daniel. why do you asked? “I said and he nodded smiling at me.
“I just wanted to be sure” he said and I chuckled.
“Don’t you asked me that again Daniel I thought something had gone wrong with you” I said walking closer to him and checking on his temperature.
“Everything is fine with me Felicia, I was just not sure if you really did” he said and I smiled at him.
“What would make you think like that Daniel. If something is bothering you tell me I’m going to help or better still try to help you” I stated.
“Don’t worry I’m fine” he said and sent his hands into his pocket and just then I picked up the gla-ss he drank water from.
“Let me kept this back in the kitchen I’ll be right back” I said and went into the kitchen to keep the gla-ss.
I placed the gla-ss on the lap-s and watched my hands before going back to the living room.
I walked into the living room and didn’t see Daniel. I look around and still didn’t see him. I walked outside of my resident and checked if his car was still parked outside but I cloudn’t find it. I brou-ght out my phone to call him and he didn’t pick up.
I decided to send a text message.
“Hello babe where are you?” I texted waiting for a reply inpatiently.
“I’m on my way to the hospital something came up. I’m sorry I cloudn’t inform you it’s really urgent” he texted.
“Okay babe take care”. I texted and walked back into my resident feeling sad and bored.
Immediately I sat on the couch a knock came on the door disturbing me and I lazily went to open it.
“Where have you been girl?, I’ve called and texted you multiple times but you didn’t pick my call” Marina said and walked in and I followed behind closing the door.
“I’ve been at home. I wasn’t feeling too well” I lied.
“Well the reason I had been calling and texting you was because I just want to inform you that you lost the position of being the main actress of that movie” she said and my eyes widen in shock.
“What did you mean? is this thing that serious” I asked and she nodded.
“Yes it is. The company is already looking for someone to replace you in that position and I’m very setting they are going to pick Tracy” she said and I looked around confused.
“Why her couldn’t the company find someone else?” I yelled and she sigh.
“She has been doing great in the past weeks and her rank improved and one more thing she got help from Mr Wang” she said and I nodded finally down fall.
“We really need to look for a solution to this problem before I loss my position in the movie industry” I said and she nodded.
“Tomorrow you and I are going to meet up with Alexis so we can talk with him about holding a conference to clear things between you two” she said and I nodded.
“But will he accept? I’m sure he’s still angry with me over dumping him” I said and she nodded.
“We can only know about that tomorrow. As for now go get some rest cause tomorrow I’d going to be a busy day” she said and I nodded walking up the stairs.
“Goodnight” I said and she responded same.
I walked into my bedroom thinking about what had happened today and found something fishes.
Why does it seems like there’s something Daniel is trying to ask me but he can’t say it and he behaved stranged today after not telling me what he wanted to. He was cold to me and didn’t smile as he usually do and he was even being more serious today.I must definitely find out what’s wrong with him.

“Daniel don’t tell me you cloudn’t propose to her again last night” Jane asked and I nodded.
“Yes I cloudn’t” I said and he held his head then breath out.
“I can’t believe you cloud not propose to Felicia. what’s stopping you from proposing? “he asked.
“I don’t think I’m ready for it” I said trying cover up the real reason.
“What do you mean Daniel? She has been betrothed to you by your mother since you were born” he said and I nodded.
“I just need time Jane, I’m ganna confused so I just need time to think” I said and he nodded.
“Don’t think about not getting married to Felicia because you know your mom won’t be happy were ever she is now and your going to put your brothers efforts to waste” he said and I nodded.
“I know my mothers last wish was for me to get married to Felicia and I do hope I can make it come true but right now I’m a little confused” I said and he nodded.
“If you can’t tell me what the problem is then think about it and don’t think of hurting Felicia’s feelings cause your big brother won’t be happy to hear that you wasted all his efforts” he said and I nodded.
“You love her right? “he asked and I nodded.
“Yes I do love her” I said and he nodded.
“Then make things happen Daniel, you’ve got to be the man you are or else things will fall apart for you” he said and I nodded.
“If only I could tell you that I’m not sure she loves me the way I do” I said in my thoughts and stood still quietly.
You know the news about her dating Alexis right. if you make a wrong move now Alexis gonna take the lead I’m telling you this because I see you as my brother and I won’t want you to loss this lifetime opportunity to be with the woman you love” he said.
As we both stood still and kept talking our head chief walked up to us looking sad and worried.
“Chief what is it? you look so worried” Jane asked him and he nodded.
“I have a very big problem at hand. “Doctor Anthony” was supposed to go treat a little village outside the city but he isn’t feeling well and I have no replacement” he said out in worries.
“Don’t worry I’m going to sub for him. let me go to the village and treat the patients” I said and Jane held my shoulder.
“What are you saying Daniel?” he asked.
“It’s a Doctor’s duty to save lives and I’ve to do my job as a doctor. I’m going to go treat those patients since Doctor Anthony can’t go” I said and he shook his head negatively.
Daniel are you sure your going to be able to handle the work I mean you’ve been working for days now in the hospital without rest and now your offering to go treat patients in Fenugreek village” our chief asked and I nodded.
“I don’t have a problem with that chief. I’m willing to go and besides its not my first time going to that village” I said and he nodded.
“If you say so Daniel, the bus is going to depart in an hour time so get ready, you’ve really seized my worries I’m proud to have you in this hospital” he said and I smiled.
“Thank you, I’ll go park my things” I said and he walked away from the both of ours.
“What was that Daniel? you just accepted to go out of town what about fixing things with Felicia before you leave? “he asked.
“I’m going to work Jane and won’t want you questioning me about my decision. There are people out there who need my help” I said and he nodded.
“At least before you go call and inform her that you’re leaving town so she won’t be worried about you” he said and I nodded.
“She chose to lie to me what need is there to tell her I’m going out of town” I asked and he nodded.
“What do you mean she lied to you Daniel? I can’t believe your saying something like that about your finance” he said and I ignored him.
“I’m going to bak up my things now” I said ignoring his question and walking away.
“Answer me Daniel, what did she lie to you about?”he asked following up with me.
“Aren’t you supposed to go check on a patient now? “I asked and he nodded.
“Don’t try covering up my question with this Daniel. Tell me what’s going on? ” he asked while I kept walking to my office.
I got in front of my office and entered locking him outside as he kept on insisting on knowing what Felicia lied to me about.
I need to leave town to get this thing off my mind or else I might do something I’m going to regret. Did she really not love me I thought.
❣ ALEXIS POV ❣
“Hello Monica please where is Felicia?” I asked approaching her
“Thank God you’re here, please sit down Felicia is on her way here” she said and I sat down close to her.
“Did you want to see me” I asked and she nodded.
“Yes Alexis it’s about the news online I want ours to solve the problem before it’s gets out of hand” she said and I nodded smiling.
“Actually that’s the same reason why I’m here I want to tell Felicia that we both can held a press conference to clear this problem” I said and she nodded.
“That’s the same thing I have been thinking. looks like you read my mind” she said and I smiled.
“Where’s Mary and your a-ssistant aren’t they suppose to be with you? “she asked after not seeing them around and I nodded.
“Mary went to use the restroom she will be here very soon and as for my a-ssistant she’s on leave” I said and she nodded smiling.
Immediately I was done talking to her Mary walked in sitting on the other chair at the table.
“It’s good to see you again Mary” she said and Mary nodded smiling.
“Where’s Felicia isn’t she with you?” she asked and she nodded.
“I arrived here earlier than her she must be on her way by now. Alexis has already told me the reason you two want to see her and I’m happy that you two cloud come up so we can fix this problem. I and Felicia were already planning on coming to meet you” she stated.
“It’s good we are already here let’s just wait for Felicia to arrive” Mary said and I sighed.
“What’s wrong Alexis? “she asked.
“I’m just trying to talk to a friend of mine and I discovered she has not been active for days now” I said and she nodded.
“Let me have a look” she said and I refused but she collected the phone from me for-cefully.
“Your busy playing games Alexis” she yelled after checking out my phone.
“No I wasn’t playing I was just trying to search for a friend” I said and she nodded.
“Trying to look for a friend in a game app” she asked and I nodded.
“Yes I was trying to look for a friend. Can you give me back my phone I said with a shaky voice and she handed it back.
“You better stop playing games Alexis and concentrate on arranging your life” she said and I nodded.
“Games are the only thing that keeps me busy and I feel relax when playing them” I said and she chuckled.
I looked at my phone one more time and wandered. Why haven’t Kate been online for days now. Is she busy or what” I thought and kept waiting to see if she’s going to come online.
