✨ CHAPTER 25 ✨
“Babe!!” Damon entered the room and met Camilla packing her bags in a hurry. He approached her and held her hand. Camilla who was scared, flung his hand away and continued to pack.
“What are you doing? please stop” he said, struggling with her. They continued to struggle until he grabbed both her arms and held them as ti-ghtly as he could. Camilla couldn’t get free.
“Let me go. I have to go!” She cried, breathing heavily as a result of all the struggling.
“Did Tyson contact you?” Damon asked, annoyed by her behavior. Camilla bit down her li-p.
“Camilla, what exactly do you take me for? Did you think I would sell you off to Logan?” He asked, letting her hand go and grabbing her wa-ist swiftly. She squirmed in his arms.
“You’re loyal to him” she whispered, sniffing back her tears.
“You’ve been his friend since he was a boy, why would you betray him for me? A girl you ba-rely know” she complained, tears flowing down her cheeks.
Damon sighed, he wiped her tears with his finger and hu-gged her head to his che-st.
“I love you Camilla, and I would never let anything or anyone hurt you, including Logan. Yes, we’ve been friends for a long time and I know he would never hurt me, even if he does, then I will know he never deserved my friendship” Damon explained and ki-ssed her hair.
“Listen babe” he pulled her away from his che-st and cu-pp-ed her cheeks in his hands.
“Logan doesn’t know you’re here. You have to get going. You have to get to a safe place” he said and she nodded, sniffing back her tears.
“I promise I will find you once all this is over” he peered into her eyes and she gave him a weak smile.
“I will find you, marry you, make love to you and get you pregnant” he smiled and she chuckled.
“I love you”
“I love you too”
Damon helped her to pack her bags and sent her off. Camilla couldn’t go back to Tyson’s house because that’s the first place Logan would look, so she had to take the next available flight to Europe, where they grew up.
An hour after Camilla left, Logan arrived at Damon’s house and met him with Zoey, still playing board games.
“Damon..”
“Zoey, go upstairs and watch TV” Damon said to Zoey and she ran upstairs happily.
“Where is Camilla?” Logan asked, his eyes scanned the house and it was obvious that he was angry.
“I don’t know”
“Damon. I want to be sure that you’re not lying to me” he growled at him.
“Affirmative. I’m not lying” Damon put on a straight face and Logan nodded.
“Alright. But you have to get a babysitter for Zoey, you’re coming with me. I must find that b@stard and kill him. I made a terrible mistake by letting him live for that long” Logan complained.
“Can you believe that slave was the one who helped him escape?” Logan seethed.
Damon chuckled.
“Tell me the truth Logan, do you want to kill Tyson because he attacked you back then or because Adena loves him?”
“Are you jealous?”
“Why don’t you admit that you’re falling for your slave?”
“Damon!!” Logan thun-dered. He couldn’t stand it anymore, he tried to stop himself from thinking about those things. He didn’t want his heart to start feeling emotions like this.
“Let’s just go” he said and left the house.
Damon shook his head and went to get his coat.

“Dammit.. that sonofabitc-h!!” Logan growled, storming into the house. He searched literally the whole of New York for Tyson but his search was fruitless.
“Listen Damon, I want you to continue searching for him. And that sister of his, find one of them, at any cost. Even if you have to turn the whole earth upside down!” He ordered and left for his room, throwing dirty glares at anyone who stood in his way.
Adena who was tied up in his room, started to shiver in fear when she heard his voice from downstairs. Hearing his footsteps getting closer to the door made her heart sink into her stomach.
She whimpered, and prayed that he would spare her like the last time.
“Unfaithful slave” his de-ep, intimidating voice came as the door quietly pushed open. Adena lowered her head and continued moving backwards.
“You know that you betrayed your master, not once but twice. So what am I going to do with you?” Logan’s face had a grin plastered on it. He took slow but steady steps over to where Adena was shivering in a corner.
“Please don’t hurt me.. I’m sorry” she wept. Logan chuckled.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle” he said and grabbed her arm, a shriek escaped from her mouth. He untied the ropes that were used to tie her to his bed, then he lifted her off the ground and threw her into the bed. Adena Gr0-ned and moved backwards.
“Please.. please don’t..” she pleaded. But he approached her like a hungry lion stalking his prey, closer and closer, while she moved back. He got hold of her and to-re her clothes off her body, expo-sing her pale, drained ba-re skin.
“Today, I’ll show you that you’re never to mess with me. I’ll show you that you’re mine and only mine. After I leave my mark on you, no other man will ever come close to you” he smi-rked dangerously and pounced on her.
Adena screamed her head off, trying to get free from the beast, but he was far too strong, stronger than her weak self.
He r@ped her again, to the point of her losing consciousness. He abandoned her body on the bed and left the room..
“Logan..” Delaney called, when she saw him coming down the staircase.
“Thank goodness you’re here. I wanted to talk to you about a few things for the wedding” she said, excited.
“Later, I nee-d some space right now” he said sternly and Delaney quietly stepped away.
Logan took one of his cars and drove out of town, all the way to the countryside, where he could be alone. He had a lot to think about because he didn’t un-derstand what was happening to him anymore.
Why did he feel so terrible that Adena loved someone else? Why did it hurt him so badly to see her risk her life for another man?
He couldn’t figure it out.
He had promised himself, so many years ago, that his heart would only bear hatred and fury. That he would never feel any emotions. But why was Adena making it so difficult for him to keep that promise?
She is everywhere. He can’t do anything without thinking about her, or work without her name repeating in his head.
Damn! Even when he’s asleep, he can still see her pretty little face.
He Gr0-ned and puffed out smoke from his cigar.
“Logan”
He turned to see Damon smiling at him.
“Hey. How did you find me?”
“Delaney told me you said you wanted to be alone. And I know you quite well. I knew you would come here” Damon answered and Logan nodded. Nobody else, un-derstands him as much as Damon.
“Remember, when we used to come here as kids? Just to give Liliana a heart attack from looking for us?” Damon chuckled, taking the cigar from Logan and putting it in his own mouth.
“Yeah, and she would chase us around the house with that large stick for hours until we all burst out laughing” Logan added and chuckled.
“Yeah, I wonder what happened to that stick”
“I fear that stick more than the devil” Logan said and they both burst out laughing.
“I miss this side of you, normally, you wouldn’t discuss these memories with me, but look at you, laughing out loud” Damon said, grinning.
“So what are you implying?” Logan snatched his cigar stick back.
“Adena.. she brings out the best and the worst in you”
“Stop it Damon. You know I don’t love. I have never fallen in love before” he said, sighing loudly.
“Because you haven’t met her. Look at you, you can’t even deny it. You’ve been acting so jealous and possessive of her. Just admit it” Damon said, nudging him with his elbow.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about”
“Logan you’re very stubborn, but one day you will admit that you love her. I just hope it’s not too late by then”
“Too late” Logan co-rked his head to the side to look at Damon.”
“Yes, you may lose her to Tyson for good. But you know she hates you”
Logan bit his li-p at that statement. Knowing that Adena resents him made him feel bad.
“If you want to win her heart, you have to prove to her that you love her, not only that, but you have to change completely” Damon advised but Logan laughed it off.
“There’s no way I’m going to change my entire personality because of a woman” he scoffed.
“Alright, but you’ll come begging me to help you” Damon as-sured.
“We’ll see about that” Logan stood up to enjoy the beautiful scenery from the top of the hill. He still couldn’t take his mind off Adena.
What about Delaney? He still has to marry her. She’s betrothed to him and he has to fulfil that responsibility.
“Logan!” Damon snapped him out from his thoughts.
“Yes?” He turned swiftly to look at the worried Damon.
“Liliana just called from the landline, Adena has been rushed to hospital” he broke the news.
Logan felt his heart skip a beat, and was immediately overwhelmed by guilt.
