✨ CHAPTER 24 ✨
“Yes mistress”
“Where were you yesterday?” Delaney questioned, still shooting daggers at Antoinette. The scared girl shivered and fiddled with her fingers, trying her best not to look suspicious.
“Um.. I went to the flower shop” she answered, her gaze fixed on the floor.
“Really? And after that?”
“Nowhere mistress”
“Liar!!” Delaney fired, Antoinette flinched.
“I saw you Antoinette, I saw you leaving from the old warehouse” she revealed and Antoinette gasped. She wasn’t expecting to be caught.
“Now you better listen to me you little twerp, keep your nose out of my business, don’t meddle in affairs that do not concern you. Make sure nobody else hears this, if not” she paused and looked around to make sure that no one was watching them.
“If anyone hears what happened, I’ll have you killed and tossed into a pit and nobody will ever know I did it. If you want to dare me, go right ahead and open your mouth, you’ll regret it.
Are we clear?”
“Yes mistress, I’m sorry” Antoinette sobbed.
Delaney was powerful enough to do what she had just said and Antoinette knew that. Besides, why would Logan listen to her? Nobody would believe her without proof so she thought it was better to keep her mouth shut than die for nothing.
“Good, now get out of my sight” Delaney ordered and Antoinette rushed back into the kitchen. She made sure that Liliana didn’t notice how restless she was, she acted like everything was normal.

Adena rushed into the torture house breathing heavily, she rushed into Tyson’s arms, looking rather perturbed.
“Adena, why do you look so disturbed?” Tyson asked, care-ssing her hair in a bid to calm her down.
“I heard.. I heard Logan coming. He’s going to kill you” Adena was still breathing heavily, tears running down her cheeks.
“Don’t cry Adena. I already knew that a day like this would come. It had to be sooner or later” Tyson said, with a smile as he was still comforting Adena.
“No” she pulled away from him and wiped his tears.
“You’ve been too good to me. I can’t bear to see you die just like that. Tyson, I have to get you out of here” she said, springing to her feet with her eyes searching the whole place for escape routes.
“Adena you know it’s impossible to leave here. There are guards everywhere outside” Tyson reminded, having lost all hope, but Adena didn’t want to give up.
She didn’t know whether it was the love she had for him, or the fact that he had a good heart that made her want to help him so badly.
“All the guards are with him right now. He’s having a word with them and will be here immediately after that” Adena said, taking a look out the door. There were no guards in sight. She remembered there was a back gate, the same back gate that Damon helped Camilla to escape from.
“Here’s what we’re going to do. I’m going to go out there and cause a distraction, you take that route” she helped him get up and pointed to the small hallway that led to the back gate.
“You’ll leave throu-ghthe back gate from there and run as far as you can” she said, still pa-nting and sweating. Tyson smiled at her Br@very.
“What about you?”
“I’ll be fine. Just go” she said.
“I love you Adena” he pulled her to his che-st and sque-ezed her a bit. He had never been in love before, but she made him feel things he had never felt before.
“We shouldn’t waste anymore time” she separated from him and smiled, with her eyes glistening with tears.
“I hope to see again someday my precious Adena” he ki-ssed her forehead and she ran off, ready to cause a scene.
“Master!!!” She shrieked, falling at Logan’s feet, disrupting his meeting with the guards.
“Oh master!!” She wailed dramatically and they all watched in shock. Logan especially was surprised at what was happening.
“Please, please don’t kill the prisoner. I will take any punishment you give me, but please, please don’t kill the innocent prisoner” she cried at the top of her voice, throwing herself on the floor and rolling from one end to the other. She managed to capture all their attention and allowed Tyson to sneak away to the back gate.
“Halt!!” The guard at the back gate commanded when he saw Tyson. But before the guard could utter another word, Tyson gave him a big punch to the face with his last energy and picked up the guard’s gun.
Shooting him would attra-ct attention, so instead, he used the gun to knock him unconscious. He opened the gate and ran for his life, as fast as his legs could carry him.
“What’s this nonsense!!?” Logan thun-dered, tired of watching Adena’s petty display.
“Buster, I thought I told you to lock her up, what is she doing here?”
“Master, you didn’t ask me to lock her up. You said to keep her in the torture house, but with the same freedom she had before” Buster bowed. Logan Gr0-ned.
“Adena stop this nonsense immediately” he yelled at her but she continued wailing, pleading with him not to kill Tyson.
“Stop it. You’re distracting us..” Logan paused and gasped loudly. He had realized exactly what Adena was up to.
“Fu-ck! Go and check the prisoner!!” He ordered and a few of the guards ran off. He followed them, gritting his teeth and cursing angrily.
“He is not here master!” Buster looked disappointed in himself. He knew he was going to get punished.
“You fools!!” Logan roared.
“How could you let him escape right un-der your noses!? Not even one of you stayed back to guard him!!” He yelled at them and they all got to their knees, apologising. He Gr0-ned and shot at one of them. The unlucky guard dropped down dead while the others continued to plead and beg
“Get me that slave!” He ordered. Within seconds, Adena was standing in front of him. She was again, shivering.
“How dare you trick me? How dare you?! You helped him escape and now you’ll pay for it!” He screamed at her and tears fell from her eyes, drenching her gown.
“You” he pointed to one of his guards.
“Take her to my room and lock her in there. I will not spare her this around” he flashed his pair of brown eyes at Adena, they were filled with rage and she quickly looked away.
“The rest of you, go and find that son of a bi-tch and this time, kill him on sight” he ordered, wiped the roof of his mouth and walked out in anger.
Adena was tied to Logan’s bed again, she curled herself up in the corner and wept bitterly. When is all this going to end?
The torture, the fear, the pain.. when?

Camilla was busy playing with Zoey that evening. Damon was at the study, handling some of Logan’s work.
“I win again aunt. You’re so bad at this game” Zoey chimed, clapping in excitement. Camilla sighed. She wasn’t losing on purpose, she was bad at board games.
“Let’s play again” Zoey demanded.
“Do we have to? I’m exhausted” Camilla said, yawning. Her phone rang and she picked it up from the sofa. It was an unknown number.
? “Camilla”
The voice sounded familiar.
? “Who is this?”
? “It’s me, Tyson. I’m calling from a landline. Are you okay? Where are you?”
Camilla shed tears when she heard her brother’s voice again after so many days of him being in captivity. She was so relieved that he was safe.
? “Tyson.. oh my God. How are you? I’m at Damon’s”
? “No, listen sweetheart, you have to get out of there. Don’t tell him anything, just run. Logan is searching for me, he might hurt you too. Please”.
? “But Damon isn’t bad”
? “He is still loyal to Logan. Just do as I say and get out of there. I’m out of coins I can’t call you again”
The call disconnected immediately and Camilla couldn’t control her tears. How on earth is she going to leave without telling Damon?
Many things started going throu-ghher head, could she really be in danger with Damon here? What if Damon surrenders her to Logan?
“No” she sighed.
She was about to go upstairs to pack her things when Damon showed up in front of her.
“Babe?” He called.
She froze, her Br@in tried to rake up a lie.
“Where are you going to in a rush, looking so pale?” He asked.
“I have to go” she started to see him in a a dangerous light.
“Go where?”
“Leave my way Damon!” She shoved him aside and ran upstairs.
He was about to follow her but his own phone rang and it was Logan.
? “Boss”
? “Is Camilla with you Damon? Or do you know where she is? Don’t let her escape. Her brother just escaped and I want him back at all costs”
? “What?”
? “Damon, if you betray me again, it’ll be the end of our friendship and your life. Don’t do it”
? “Logan..”
The call ended and he was left confused. Why does Logan enjoy putting him in difficult situations? Why now? He just managed to get Camilla to accept him, now he wants to capture her?
“Babe!!” He followed Camilla upstairs.
