“Who are you?” Elvis finally asked, ending the hateful stare in between them.
Axel scoffed.
“I should be one asking instead. So, who the fv¢k are you?” He eyed him.
I looked at both of them and laughed.
They turned to me, wondering why I was laughing absurdly.
My laughter slowly tuned low and I rolled my eyes, annoyingly, ru-bbing my ton-gue down the edges of my mouth.
“So annoying” I muttered.
“What?” They asked, simultaneously.
“Let go of my hand now”
“Rose? it’s me, Axel…”
“I don’t care! You both,, leave me now!” I snapped, and pu-ll-ed my hand away.
I inhaled de-eply, and dusted my hands by cl@pping them.
“Gosh,, too many flir-ty hands t©uçhed me in just a day. So annoying” I said, walking away.
Axel looked at me, perplexed. He sighed and turned to Elvis whose eyes were still on me.
I st©pped walking and look back.
“Hey, Elvis? You coming or not?” I asked, in a yell.
“Coming!” He replied, and ran to meet up with me. Axel watched us till we walked out of sight.

We finally got out from the dep@rtment president’s office after some few minutes.
Since, we were done,, I managed to walk away from Elvis.
“Rose?” I heard him call.
I inhaled de-eply, agigated before turning back to him.
“Yes, Elvis? Any problem?” I asked.
“Don’t you nee-d my number?” He asked.
I blinked my eyes, in surprise. Why would he say something abnormal?
“What do you mean? Do you think I’m the type that asks guys for their phone numbers? Pathetic” I scoffed.
Elvis chuckled.
“Cute” He mumbled.
“Pardon?” I asked.
“What I mean,, is,, don’t you nee-d my number so that you would add me to the clas-s group on WhatsApp. i don’t wanna miss any useful information,,, you know” He smiled.
“Oh,, that. What’s your number then?” I asked.
“No,, give me your number instead” Elvis said.
“And why?” I asked, shaking my head.
“You might not do it later on. You might get tired or even busy. So, I just nee-d to chat you up to remind you” He said.
I scratched my forehead and nodded.
“Okay then… My number is 01….,,” I said.
He smiled and quic-kly pressed it down into his phone before saving it.
“Okay then… Bye. You should rest today. Tomorrow, I’m gonna take you to our first lecture hall. Have a good evening” I said, slowly leaving.
“Rose?” He called again.
I sighed.
What does this guy want exactly?
I turned to him and f0rç£d a weird smile.
“What is it, again?” I asked.
“I…am not like those guys” He muttered.
I blinked.
“What?”
“I don’t flir-t” He muttered again.
He walked closer to me, and rou-ghed my hair.
“You are cute, Rose” He smiled, and finally walked away.
I swallowed ha-rd and felt my heart jump. I held my bag stra-p ti-ghtly which was over my che-st. I looked back at him and saw him walk away from sight.
“Who’s that guy?” I muttered.
“And why does he keep ma-king me feel this way?” I thought, and squee-zed my che-st.
Lily’s Room**
“Isn’t your roommate back?” I asked, as I opened the mini fridge. I took out a canned beverage and closed it back.
I walked to the be-d, and opened the can, drinking its contents.
Lily sighed and shrugged her shoulder.
“Don’t know. She’s a fv¢k girl”
“As if you aren’t a fv¢k girl” I laughed.
“I’ve changed. Vin left me remember?,,, there’s no guy to make me feel we-t anymore” She said.
I laughed, and la-id on the be-d.
“What are you ma-king by the way?” I asked.
“Porridge. Care for some?” She asked.
“Yes. When I’m done,, I nee-d to zoom off back to my room,, I have as-signments and projects to cover up”
“Oh,,, thats my as-sistant course rep over there” She tea-sed.
“Fo.ol,,, keep mocking me,, okay?” I chuckled.
My phone beeped and I took it from my pocket. It was a WhatsApp message from an unknown number. I cli-ck on the message and saw;
📨 It’s Elvis. Save my number now, flower >wi-nks< I smiled, and saved it. I didn't reply him. I just added him to the group and went to check status. I cli-ck on Axel's status and boldly, he wrote; *BROKEN😭😭😭* "Pathetic" I scoffed and just then, Elvis's status popped in. It loaded and a bright picture was loaded. It was a picture of me, eating doughnut then at the field. Elvis secretly took the picture when he went to get us sprite from the vending machine. The picture was unaware but it c@m£ out beautiful and perfect. He captioned it with, A Flower Indeed. I didn't notice when I smiled. "Cute" I whispered. I replied to it, of course 📨 Thank you, Elvis. It c@m£ out so well. Gonna save this. 📨 You are welcome, beautiful❤. See you tomorrow >wi-nks< I laughed. "He's so fun" 📨 Why do you keep using “wi-nks” by the way? I messaged. 📨 Really don't know? I raised my eyes up to see Elvis... "How did you know i- I paused when I saw him sitting close to Julie on her be-d. She was knotting a tie on him. He was smiling at her before his eyes fell on me. Julie turned her head and smiled at me. I ti-ght£ñed my hand on my bag stra-p, and felt odd things going on with my eye and around my stomach. I felt so sad?... She breathed heavily and turned to him. "I thought you wanted to talk about a girl. A flower? Huff!" "No, It's is a- "Here" Julie stretched her hand to him, and cutting him off unintentionally. "The gift?" Elvis asked and Julie nodded. He smiled and collected it. "Check it out" Julie smiled. Elvis looked at her and slowly fell his gaze on the package. He smiled and slowly undid the knot at the t©p. *** "Do you like it?" Julie asked. "A n£¢k tie? Its quite good" "You don't like it?" She raised a brow. Elvis chuckled. "Why not? It great. It just... "Just?" Elvis cleared his throat. "Just what?" Julie asked again. "Its just I don't know how to knot a tie" "Wh...at! How do you wear n£¢k ties then?" She was still talking and teaching him carefully when I c@m£ in. They both turned to the door while I shared this intense stare at them. Before one could talk, I had alre-ady slammed the door. She left. "Huh? What's wrong wi- "She's the one" Elvis quic-kly stood up. "What?" Julie asked. "The flower I was talking about" Elvis answered. "What? the sweet rose?" "Yup. Wonder what she's doing here though? I guess she mistook here for her room. But didn't she see me? She could have waved or said Hi" Elvis said and tried to leave. "Wait" Julie quic-kly said. Elvis turned to her. "As fate would turn it to be. She happens to be my roommate" "What?" *** Axel slowly drank whiskey from the bar. He sighed and looked around. This is where he first saw Rose. "Hello,, boy" A harlot said, se-ductively,, ru-bbing his back from behind. Axel turned his head over quic-kly and held her hand. "Do you want to live long?" He asked. "Huh?" The harlot shivered. "If you wanna live long... and tastes lot of different di-cks for a long period of time,, keep away from me!" He yelled, and pushed her off. The harlot p@n-ted and ran off. Axel inhaled de-eply and faced his drinks once more. "Why did you call me?" He heard Vin's voice. Axel turned back and smiled when he saw him. "My guy... I thought you wouldn't come" "Why did you call me. Its so unexpected" Vin said, and sat close to Axel in another long stool. "Whiskey,, plea-se" Vin signalled to the barman. Vin looked at Axel and he saw the depression on his face. "Dude? What is it?" "Sorry" Axel whispered. "What?" Vin asked, confusedly. "You were the only one I could call" Axel sobbe-d and fell on Vin's che-st. He started crying right there,, leaving Vin in awe. Afterwards,,Vin started consoling him while gently tapping his back. *** "Wait. Rose,, plea-se wait" Elvis said, and held my hand. I inhaled de-eply and turned to him. "I guess all boys are the same" "What? What do you mean?" "You lied to me,, saying you weren't like other guys... you don't flir-t blah blah blah! You even made my heart flutter while messaging you,, eish!" "Rose...I- "Let go of me! You are an annoying freak" I snapped my hand off. "My roommate out of all people" I muttered,, leaving Elvis puzzled. "Rose!" Julie called and I turned. "What?" I glared at her. "I see you have finally met my cousin" She beamed. "What?...Cousin?"
