The two kept kissing and Charmaine wouldn’t deny that she was on cloud nine.
Not only is he a good kisser, his kisses made her feel like she’s in heaven and it got her tingling all over.
When he ended the kiss she couldn’t deny that she wanted him to continue which got her feeling scared.
Ashton is someone who hurt her in the past and she will be making a mistake if she let him into her life again.
Ashton on the other hand was about to give her another kiss when she got down the desk walking towards the window to put a distance between them.
“Why are you doing this to me?” Charmaine muttered, her back turned to him.
“Isn’t making fun of me in the past enough? ” She asked while trying to hold back her tears.
“I didn’t make fun of you. I will admit that at first, I thought it to be fun but when I met you…everything changed”
“How did it change? To you and your brother, I was just someone who had to be discarded. None of you thought of my…”
“I did! I did think of your feeling and if you had given me a chance, I would have shown you just how much I think of it” he stated firmly and slowly she turned to stare at him.
“For the two years that you’ve been gone have only been thinking about you. I even hired an investigator to look for you but you hid yourself well” Ashton added.
“Why would you go through all that? To apologise to me?” Charmaine asked.
” To tell you how much I love you ” he confessed and it got Charmaine speechless for a while until she remembered him kissing Gwen.
“You expect me to believe that when I saw you kissing that girl?” Charmaine asked.
He walked towards her and pulled her gently into his arms.
“There’s nothing going on between Gwen and I. You are the only girl I want” Ashton stated which got her crying.
“Stop lying to me. Am not the same girl you made a fool of in the past, I am different now and….” She was cut off from saying more when Ashton kissed her.
The kiss lasted for a while since Charmaine didn’t push him away.
“I love you Charmaine. I know it might seem like a lie to you but I love you and If you will give me the chance, I will prove it to you” he said and instead of giving a reply.
She burst out in tears while Ashton held her crying body to his giving her the comfort she deserve.
A while later Ashton knelt by Charmaine bed side starring at her sleeping face.
She had cried till she fell asleep in his arms and he had her to bed.
Moving back a strand of her hair, he gave her a kiss on the fore head before leaving the room.

Bridget was leaving the building after class when the horn of a car got her attention.
Turning to see who it is, she saw Zach behind the wheel, smiling at her.
“Psycho” she muttered before continuing her journey but he quickly caught up with her.
“You shouldn’t be ignoring your boy friend” Zach said.
“What boyfriend!” Bridget yelled.
“The handsome dude In front of you” he replied and Bridget couldn’t stop herself from laughing.
“If your done spewing your nonsense, I suggest you leave” she said but he stood in her path not giving her the chance to leave.
“But have been waiting here for you for the past three hours” he confessed.
“Did I ask you to?”
“You didn’t but at least, you should have pity on me and let me accompany you to the fresh men party” he stated.
“Sorry but am not going to the party?” Bridget replied.
“Why?”
“Cause unlike rich heirs like you who have fun around have got work to do” Bridget replied.
“If it’s the restaurant, I already took care of it” Zach told her with confidence.
“What did you do?”
“I booked the whole restaurant for today. So, you have the day off which means you can spend it with me” Zach stated.
“Thank you for giving me the day off but I have no intention of spending it with you ” She said haughtily.
“But you can’t….”
“Bridget!” Professor Alexander called as he approach them.
“Hello sir” Bridget greeted while Zach glared at him from head to toe.
“Are you going out with your boyfriend?” Alexander asked as he waits for her reply.
“He’s not my boyfriend. He’s just some…”
“Some one who’s inviting her to the fresh men after party” Zach said quickly.
“Really? Have also been invited” Alexander said which got Zach using the opportunity.
“Which means we can all go together ” Zach said as he put his arms around Bridget while Alexander stared at his hand on her shoulder.
“But I haven’t decided on…”
“Stop refusing already. We need to go before it begins, get in prof, I will take you too” Zach said and they all went into the car.

“I just got a text from Bridget, she’s going to the freshmen party” Daphne said to Charmaine as they put their stuff into their back pack.
“Why’s that?”
“Zach has something to do with it. Turns out that he’s interested in her” Daphne said as they began to leave the class.
On hearing Zach, she recalled the night with Ashton.
It felt awkward seeing him after what happened last night and so she’s been doing her best to avoid him.
“Do you know if Ashton is going?” She asked.
“Am not sure but if Zach is going, he might as well” Daphne answered.
“Then we shouldn’t go. Let’s go to a karaoke bar and have fun, Bridget will have to escape from their midst and join us. What do you think?”
“It’s a splendid idea” Daphne replied just as Stephen approach them.
“Are you coming to the freshmen party?” Stephen asked mildly.
“I…” She stopped talking when she notice Ashton watching her from a distance.
Quickly she looked away just as a female student approach him.
“Will you be going to the fresh men party?” The girl asked.
“Am not interested ” Ashton replied before sauntering off.
If he’s not going then she would likely see him at home, she thought as she stop Daphne from talking.
“Definitely, we are going” Charmaine said which got Daphne starring her way.
“But you…”
“I know what I said but have change my mind. There’s no harm in going to the party” Charmaine said quickly.
“Then you don’t mind if I take you both in my car?” Stephen asked which got them following him.
Ashton who had been walking off stop to stare at them a sad expression on his face.

As soon as they got to the club, they were led to a large group where Bridget, Zach and the professor were seated.
Some students came to pull the professor to the dance floor leaving Zach and Bridget alone.
“Are you having fun?” Zach yelled out due to the loud music.
“Does it look like I am?” Bridget asked in return.
“But your friends are here and your boyfriend too” Zach added the last part on purpose.
“Will you stop referring yourself as my boyfriend. I have no boyfriend ” Bridget said firmly.
“Then I can be your boyfriend right?” Zach asked.
“I know what you are up to and am not interested. I would rather stay alone than to be another one of those bimbos who fall into bed with playboys like you” Bridget said as she pick up her glass.
“What if I tell you that am not playing with you and that am very much interested in you, what are you going to do?” Zach asked which got her starring his way.
“Lies. Guys like you don’t fall for girls like me”
“But I have” he countered and once again she stared at him and she wouldn’t deny that he looked honest
“I have fallen for you and you need to start accepting me cause I don’t intend to leave you alone till I hear your sweet yes” he added before sipping his drink.
Daphne was getting bored when she notice a girl starring at Charmaine and she has been doing that for quite some time.
“Charmaine, do you know her cause she’s been starring at you” Daphne told Charmaine who stared at the girl too.
On seeing this, the girl quickly left her seat heading outside but Charmaine had seen her and she had recognized her to be Jessie.
“I need to check on something, I will be back” Charmaine said as she quickly left the club after the girl.
Daphne let out a sigh, she didn’t know how to mingle with people and being in a club makes her think of her father.
She was about to leave when she saw Essex and Stella walking into the room.
The two of them were talking to someone and seeing the way Stella held tightly onto his hand made it clear to Daphne that there’s no chance for her with Essex.
Wanting to drink something strong, she picked up Zach whiskey and was about to drink it when Foster took it from her.
“What are you doing?” She asked slowly.
“I should be asking you that. Getting drunk for Essex won’t make him go to you” Foster admonish.
“I know that already and that’s why I want to have a drink, so mind your darn business!” She said as she took the glass from him to pour the whiskey.
Foster could only take the seat by her side while he watch over her.

Charmaine got out only to find no one there. Could it have been a figment of her imagination and even if it had been Jessie they are no longer friends.
Everything ended between them when she found out the truth about her and Ryan.
Letting out a deep sigh, she turn to go in only to see Ashton.
Didn’t he say he was going to be at home? Why did he change his mind? She thought as he got to her.
“Didn’t you say that you won’t come?” She asked feeling a bit nervous and instead of giving her a reply.
He close the distance between them and gave her a hug.
Charmaine was taken aback by his action and instead of pushing him away, she wrap her arms around him.
But then something didn’t feel right, It felt strange being in his arms. Something that has never happen with Ashton?
She quickly pulled away from him and it was then she noticed some one else standing a distance away watching them.
It was none other than Ashton since she recognized the anger on his face.
She turn to the look alike of Ashton who had hugged her some minutes ago.
“Ryan?” She muttered and he let out a slow smile before giving a nod.
“It’s me, am back!”
