Ashton was busy arranging his stuff in the wardrobe when he heard the door bell.
“Didn’t she take her key?” He muttered as he went to open the door expecting to see Charmaine but his mood got ruined when he saw Gwen.
“Hello” she greeted like a sly cat and not waiting for his reply, she walk into the house to set down the cake she bought.
“What are you doing here?” Ashton asked.
“I went to your house to say hello but your father told me about this place and I came to see it” Gwen replied and added. ” I like the interior, you don’t have someone living with you right?”
“Why do you ask?” Ashton said in return.
“Well I just thought that you….”
“That I might need a room mate? Sorry, I already got one so can you please leave” Ashton said politely.
“Why are you treating me this way when I only want to get close to you?” Gwen asked.
“If you are trying to get close to me to be friends? I might give it a chance but you aren’t doing it for that but for something else, some thing which I can’t give you since I already have some one in my heart” Ashton admitted.
“You know our parents wouldn’t like to hear that from you? They’ve paired us together and….”
“And they can end up marrying themselves for all I care. Look, If you don’t want me to be rude and throw you out, I suggest you leave” Ashton said already losing his patience.
Gwen let out a sigh and began to head to the door when she heard someone foot step.
Turning towards Ashton, she quickly gave him a kiss.
Startled Ashton couldn’t act fast which got Charmaine seeing them that way.
Charmaine didn’t know why seeing Ashton kissing another girl made her angry. She should be happy that he’s going out with someone so why on earth is she angry? She thought just as Ashton notice her at the door way.
Quickly he pushed Gwen away from him while Charmaine forced a smile on her face.
“I hope am not interrupting a thing, I just came to get my things” Charmaine said.
“Are you leaving?” Ashton asked as he went to her.
“I would love to do that but I can’t afford to let the rent go to waste, so you will be putting up with me for a while longer!” She replied hotly.
“What does she mean? Is she living here with you?” Gwen asked.
“I suggest you ask him” Charmaine answered before going into her room.
“Is she really living here with…”
“She is! It’s time you leave, you’ve cause enough trouble ” Ashton said as he pulled her by the arm towards the door.
“And don’t ever come here again” he added before shutting the door on her face.
Charmaine who had change into her part-time job uniform got out of her room only to see Ashton waiting for her.
“We need to talk”
“I have a job to go to, save the discussion for when I get back” she replied as she walk past him and out of the house.

“If I had known that boss wouldn’t be around, I would have taken my time. Just look how untidy I am” Bridget stated as she tried to fix her hair.
Daphne who she was talking to let out a sigh which got Bridget looking her way.
“What is it? You’ve been sighing like that ever since I arrive” Bridget asked.
“It’s nothing, I just… ”
“Is your dad being a headache again?” Bridget asked which got Daphne shaking her head.
“I just feel a bit restless, don’t pay attention to me” Daphne replied which got Bridget nodding in return.
“I would like to order” Zach said as he approach the counter which got Bridget attending to him.
“Erm…I would like the latte or perhaps the cappuccino or the Americano, I just can’t seem to choose” Zach said which earned him a smile from Bridget.
A smile that got him totally smitten, he thought as he watch her speak.
“Since you prefer the cappuccino, then let me have it” he said as she went to get him his order.
“Here you go” she said and he gave her his card.
She was swiping the card when she began to cough.
“Drink this” Zach ordered as he gave her his cappuccino.
Needing something to drink to prevent being choked, Bridget picked up the cup and was about to drink when she heard him say.
“If you drink that you become my girlfriend”
Bridget stopped drinking the coffee when she heard what he said.
“What did you say?” Surprised Bridget asked.
“You heard me. Are you okay or do you want more?” Zach asked which got her shaking her head.
“Here you go ” she said as she gave his card and coffee to him.
“Thanks and before I forget. We just had our first kiss”
“Our first what?”
“Kiss. You happen to drink right where I drank mine, so we just shared our first kiss. See you around” he added before leaving the restaurant.
“What’s wrong? Do you know Zach?” Daphne who had gone to serve a customer asked as she return to the counter.
“Is his name Zach?” Bridget asked.
” Yes, he is in the same year with me” Daphne replied.
“That guy is a total psycho! Do you know what he said to me just because I drank his coffee. He said have become his girlfriend and added to it, he said we both have shared a kiss just because I drank right from the same spot he drank his” Bridget said to her friend.
“He’s definitely insane and you shouldn’t pay attention to him, he’s a playboy who mess around with a lot of girls, don’t let him get close to you” Daphne warned which got Bridget nodding in return.
Just then Stephen and Foster sauntered into the restaurant which caught the attention of both girls.
“Why are they here?” Bridget muttered.
“Am also wondering the same ” Daphne replied in anger as she glared at Foster who gave her a wink.
“Where’s Charmaine?” Stephen asked.
“Why are you looking for her?” Bridget asked.
“Cause I want to talk to her” Stephen replied.
“Why would you want to talk to her?” Bridget asked which got Stephen sighing out his anger.
“Cause this is between me and Charmaine ” Stephen replied.
“Since it’s between you and Charmaine, I suggest you find her yourself cause you won’t getting any info from us” Bridget informed him.
“Fine then. I will just wait right here for her” Stephen stated as he went to seat on one of the empty chairs.
“Come take our order Daphne” Foster said before joining Stephen.
“Why is Charmaine involved with those thugs?” Bridget said under her breath while Daphne went to attend to them.
Charmaine chose that moment to arrive and when Bridget told her about Stephen who was waiting, she quickly went to him.
“Aren’t you going house hunting again? “Stephen asked.
“Am sorry, I should have called to tell you that am no longer interested” she told him.
“Why? Do you intend to keep living with Ashton?” Stephen asked.
“I do and before you jump to conclusion it’s only because i don’t want the rent money someone payed to be wasted, I’d rather use than to waste it” Charmaine replied.
“Are you sure that you won’t regret it?” Stephen asked.
“I won’t. Thanks for wanting to help, I need to get to work” she said before heading to the counter.
“Is she living with Ashton?” Foster asked which got Stephen nodding.
“And you offered to help her leave? Why?” Foster asked.
“What else? I did it to have fun and also to make Ashton mad” Stephen replied.
“But it didn’t work”
“It didn’t work for now but I intend to keep trying. Charmaine will be the tool I use in getting back at Ashton” Stephen stated already thinking of another plan.
“Am heading home, you coming?” Stephen asked but Foster shook his head, his eyes on Daphne.
“You may leave, I still have something pending to sort here” Foster replied which got Stephen leaving the restaurant alone.
“Here’s your burger and drink” Daphne said as she put his order in front of him.
“Is this a way to treat a customer?” Foster asked.
“Am not in the mood for your nonsense, so quit it!” Daphne said hotly and when she made to leave, he took hold of her hand.
“Join me and eat this , I specially bought it for you” Foster said and immediately she pulled her hand out of his.
“Am not interested in eating a thing with you” She snapped before heading back to the counter.
Foster let out a slow smile before sipping his juice.
He was nibbling his burger when he noticed a familiar car outside.
No one had to tell him who the person inside the car is since he recognize the car to be one of his father’s.
He watched Essex through the glass and saw him calling someone who happen to be Daphne.
He watched how a smile lit her face as she talked to him on the phone and when he saw her pulling off her apron, he knew she was going to meet him which he didn’t like.
As soon as Daphne left the counter, he quickly went to block her path.
“What is it?” Daphne asked.
“I need you to get me a coffee” he said.
“There are other attendants there to attend to you. Excuse me ” she said as she walk past him.
Foster knew he should mind his business and let her keep being fooled by Essex but something in him wouldn’t allow that.
He found himself going after her and when he got outside, he lifted her bridal style into his arms.
“Oh my God! Are you crazy! Put me down!” She yelled at him.
“I am crazy for bothering to help a dummy like you” he replied as he walk her to the back of the building not caring if Essex had seen them.
As soon as he set her down, Daphne tried to leave but he stood in her path which got her hitting him on the chest.
“What exactly is your problem! Why are you bothering me!” She yelled at him.
“Am only doing this for your sake. Essex doesn’t love you the way you love him, didn’t you see him with his girlfriend today?” Foster asked.
“What I do with Essex shouldn’t be any of your concern, so move out of my way” She yelled as she walk past him only for Foster to pull her into his arms giving her a tight hug.
“Let go of me”
“Stay still or am going to kiss you” Foster threatened which got her standing still and Essex chose that moment to walk into the scene.
Still holding Daphne, Foster let out a smug smile which got Essex feeling angry and as quietly as he got there, Essex left.
“Let me go!” Daphne said as she push him away.
“Don’t you ever touch me again!” Daphne yelled at him and made to leave but he pulled her to him again and this time he smash his lips on hers.
Daphne was startled at first but when she regained her wits, she pushed him away and gave him a slap before running off, leaving him wondering why he kissed her.

Charmaine got back home feeling a bit tired.
As soon as she got in it was to see Ashton waiting for her.
“Once you’ve change, let’s have a talk” Ashton said to her.
“Sorry but am very tired to talk to you” she said as she went to her room and when she was about to shut the door, Ashton came in not giving her the chance to do so.
“Get out of my room!”
“Not until we’ve talked. I know what you must be thinking right after seeing me with Gwen but it’s….”
“I don’t care! I don’t want to know. All I want is for you to leave me alone! Now get out Ashton ” she said as she began pushing him out of her room but then she slipped which got them both falling on her bed with her on top of Ashton.
They stayed like that for a while starring at each other and when Ashton could no longer take it, he kissed her.
Charmaine was startled by his action but she quickly pulled away from him.
As soon as Ashton got off the bed, she gave him a slap.
“Don’t you ever kiss me again” She warned only to be pulled back roughly into his arms and before she could do a thing, he kissed her again and this time she found it hard to get away from him.
When he’s had his fill of her lips, he let her go which got her wanting to slap him again but he easily move out of the way.
She turn to him wanting strike again but he swiftly lifted her by the waist and made her seat on the desk.
With her tied down like that, Ashton gave her another kiss and this time Charmaine couldn’t push him away, this time she let him explore her mouth while she did the same with his….
