“It’s me, am back!” Ryan said and immediately Charmaine pulled away from him.
Ashton who was angry by Ryan holding onto Charmaine failed to notice how she pulled away from his brother.
Walking towards them, he held onto Charmaine and pulled her to his side.
“When did you arrive?” Ashton asked.
“Just a while ago. I heard about the freshmen party and came to have a look. I was overwhelmed by seeing a familiar face on my arrival and that’s why I hugged Charmaine” Ryan explained.
“You should go home to say hi to dad” Ashton said obviously displeased by his brother arrival.
“I will but I have to talk to you and Charmaine first. You don’t have to listen to me now, we can talk when you get back from the party. See you later” Ryan said as he walk off leaving the both of them.
“Didn’t expect to see him again” Charmaine said the first thing that came to mind.
“But I have the same face as Ryan and you’ve been seeing me everyday ” Ashton replied with sarcasm edge in his voice.
“Are you angry at me?” Charmaine asked.
“Why should I ? After all your first love is back, you must be thrilled ” he said as he walk past her into the club.
Charmaine stood motionless for a while before going in to join them.

“You said you couldn’t make it ” Zach said as soon as he saw Ashton.
But Ashton ignored him, taking his glass of whiskey to gulp down it’s content.
“Easy dude, It’s not champagne but whiskey. You will easily get drunk” Zach warned.
“That is exactly what I want” Ashton replied while starring at Charmaine who went to join Bridget on the seat opposite them.
“Where did you go to?” Bridget asked.
“To the rest room. Did I miss something”
“Nothing apart from Daphne who keeps getting herself drunk” Bridget replied as their gaze went to Daphne who kept drinking even though she was drunk.
“We’ve got to stop her”
“Don’t worry. She already has someone by her side” Bridget said as she stared at Foster who was seated by her side.
“Don’t tell me it’s…”
“I think he’s into her. Let’s give him the chance to show our bestie what love is” Bridget suggested and Charmaine nodded in reply still feeling a little doubtful.

“I think you’ve had enough already” Foster told Daphne who shook her head drunkenly.
“I need more….if am to forget Essex then I need more alcohol” she drawled out slowly.
“Alcohol won’t make you forget him, it will only give you a banging headache” Foster stated.
“Shut up! I don’t need your lectures…you are just a bad boy who loves drinking and smoking!” She said as she pick up her glass but he took it from her.
“You aren’t drinking again”
“Really! Then I will go and ask for a drink from Essex” Before Foster could stop her, she was already staggering towards Essex table where she kept calling his name.
“Isn’t she drunk?” Stella muttered in irritation while Essex stood up to hold the drunk Daphne.
“Why isn’t it me? Why isn’t it me?” Daphne let out slowly, starring at him with a sad expression on her face.
“You are drunk, you need to get some rest” Essex said dryly.
He was about to touch her face when Foster took hold of his hand.
“You don’t have to touch her” He said icily as he pulled Daphne away from him.
“And you do?” Essex asked earning a angry look from Foster.
“I suggest you focus on your girlfriend and stop worrying about Daphne” Foster told him airily.
“Knowing that she’s with you in this state makes more worried” Essex countered as he held Daphne hand.
“Why? Do you think I will do something bad to her?”
“Knowing how much you hate me, it wouldn’t be a surprise. I will take her home” Essex said as he pulled Daphne back to his arms.
“And leave your girlfriend here? If you are going to keep the one you don’t love by your side while you let the one you love suffer, I suggest you leave both of them alone” Foster whispered as he pulled Daphne back into his arms.
“Just let him take her Essex. She’s none of your concern” Stella said as she stood up to hold onto him.
“Listen to your girlfriend. She’s more sensible than you” Foster added before lifting the sleeping Daphne into his arms.

“Charmaine, you’ve got to do something or that dude will wake up with a killing headache tomorrow” Zach said as he came to join her and Bridget.
Charmaine stared at Ashton who kept gulping down whiskey like it’s a plain water.
“Go stop him or it will be hard for you to take him home” Zach added.
“You expect me to take him home ?” Charmaine asked.
“Who else would? You both are living in the same place” Zach replied before turning his attention to Bridget.
Slowly, Charmaine made her way to where Ashton sat.
“That’s enough” she said as she took the glass from him.
“It’s Charmaine! It’s really her!” Ashton said in a drunken manner.
“Don’t expect me to take you home cause I won’t!” Charmaine warned softly.
“Why? Is it because am not Ryan. Tell me the truth….have you been ignoring me because you still feel something for Ryan?” Ashton asked with a sleepy look on his face.
“What does Ryan have to…”
“Don’t fall for Ryan…he doesn’t love you as much as I do” Ashton told her before laying his head on her legs to sleep.
Charmaine sat still, starring at his sleeping face.
He had been angry thinking she still feel some thing for Ryan.
“I have no intention of falling for Ryan again and that goes for you too” she muttered gently as she push back a strand of fallen hair away from his face.
“Do you want me to call you a cab?” Bridget offered and she nodded in return.

“Where’s Bridget?” Alexander asked as he came back to his seat.
“She went to help her friend out, you know how kind hearted she is” Zach replied which got Alexander smiling.
“She is” Alexander muttered and that earned him a look from Zach.
“Can I ask you something, prof?”
“Ask away”
“Do you like Bridget cause when a guy shows an interest in a girl, it’s because he feels something for her. Do you…”
“I do. I like Bridget and if she will accept me, I will be very glad. What about you? You’ve also been all over her” Alexander asked.
“I also feel the same way infact, I love her and am not willing to give her up for anyone ” Zach declared and that got Alexander sitting up.
“I also don’t intend to give her up” He replied.
“Then we will have to do our best to win her heart ” Zach stated.
“May the best man win” Alexander added hotly.

“Thank you sir” Charmaine greeted the cab driver before turning to Ashton.
“You drunkard! You will surely pay for making me suffer” Charmaine exaggerated as she help him walk up the stairs.
“This is the second time am seeing him this drunk” Ryan said suddenly and that stop Charmaine in her track.
“What are you doing here?” She asked when she could will herself to speak.
“To talk, I remember telling you both about it ” Ryan replied as he help her with Ashton while she open the door.
When they were inside and Ashton had been put to bed, she went to join Ryan in the sitting room feeling a bit awkward around him.
“Hope you’ve been doing well?” He asked.
“As you can see for yourself, I am” she answered a bit more strongly.
“Why do I sense anger in that reply?”
” Do you expect me to welcome you back with arms wide open? You and Ashton are the last people I wanted to meet again but here I am being bothered by you both ” Charmaine complained.
“You have the right to be mad at me but you shouldn’t be with Ashton. I must admit that for him, it all began as fun but on meeting you everything changed” Ryan began slowly.
“When you left, Ashton was very angry. He had begged me to explain things to you that night but I had refused and then you left. Never have I seen him going crazy over a girl like he did with you”
” He used his free time searching for you and during his break, he often travelled to Australia hoping he will see you again but you were out of reach which became unbearable for him and for me since I caused you two pain”
“It’s one of the reason why I left the city, I sincerely wished for you two to meet again and you did ” Ryan added.
“Why are you telling me this, it’s been two years since all this happened ”
“It has been but I want you to know how much Ashton loves you and if he’s drunk, he certainly got drunk while thinking about you. We some time have this connection to read one another since we are twins” Ryan said lightly and she couldn’t hold back a smile.
“Give Ashton a chance. He really loves you” he added as he stood up.
“Don’t you have something to say to him, you can wait for him to wake…”
“No. I might as well give you both the chance to be alone, am not expecting you to forgive me since I hurt you in the past but I hope you can look beyond the past and try to be happy. You deserve it” With that said, he left the apartment leaving Charmaine choked up with tears.
“Why did he have to get me feeling so emotional” she muttered as she held back her tears.
Heading to her room, she decided to check on Ashton and when she got there, it was to find him on the floor.
Did he fall off the bed? She thought as she went to help him up.
“Charmaine!” He called out softly as he kept pulling his shirt.
He must be feeling hot, she thought as she began to unbutton his shirt.
She sat him up to pull off the shirt and that was when she saw it.
He had did a tattoo of her name on his back.
“Charmaine, I love you” he muttered sleepily before falling on the bed to continue his sleep.
Never had someone did something this touching for her, she thought as she gently touch the spot which her name has been written on his body.
And at that moment, she couldn’t control the tears that threatened to spill.
