(WHAT REALLY HAPPENED)
I fell asleep peaceful. I wake up late.
“Aaaahhhh…” I yawn lazily scratching my hair. I remembered that Kai would be leaving for a battle today. I jump off the bed and quickly put on my robe.
I ran outside and met Han
“Good morning Nina…..!” He said
“Kai….were….were is Kai?” I painted
“Prince Kai left yesterday night after you were asleep” he said
“What!!!” I yelled.
“He asked me to hand you this” he handed me something like a white shit.
“What’s inside?” I asked looking angry.
“I don’t know” he said and walk away
“Thank you” i whispered and went back to my room.
So that was why he gave me this necklace, to protect me while he’s gone. I opened the piece of silk clothe and saw he wrote something on it. Straight words i couldn’t read.
I called Eva to help me but too bad she doesn’t know how to read. As for Han….he could only read the beginning of the letter which was ‘dearest Nina’. I looked at them with annoyance.
I summoned moo and he was the worst.
“Nina…how can an animal read?” He said
There is only one person I could ask again…..the queen.
I took the letter to the queen.
She smile as she began to read.
“Dearest Nina…
Don’t be mad that I left without telling you. By the time you’re reading this letter I’ll be far gone from home. I want you to be strong. Never take the necklace off.
Take care….I’ll see you” it says.
“He gave you his necklace?” The Queen asked and i nodded.she smiled
I spent some time with the Queen.
Kai was on his horse. He was traveling with his men
“This time I promise to kill the king of Vansham myself!” Baron yelled in anger. Kai moved his hands and felt the dagger Nina gave to him and smiled.
“Let’s finish this and go back home” he said.
“Kai…..looks like you’re already missing Nina” Baron teased.
“I guess I do” Kai admit and hold his chest feeling Nina’s happy heartbeat.
Kaleb got into the room and suddenly grab Victoria’s neck.
“Why Victoria? Why!!!!” He yelled
“K…kel….Kaleb…..” Nina cried. Kai let her go as she cough continually
“Am I not enough for you Nina….what more can you ask for?” Kaleb said
“Enough for me?, You ruined my life……i should be the one with Kai…not Nina!!!”
“So that’s why you tried to kill her!!!!”
“Yes….and I’ll continue to put harm I her way until she’s no.more!”
“Victoria!!!!!!” Kaleb yelled
“If.you love me Kaleb you’d let me go……!!!!”
“I won’t let you hurt Nina!”
“Why?, You’re falling in love with her already?”
“Nina is like a little sister to me….and the fact that am keeping this a secret from Kai is killing me and I just hopes he finds out the devil in you himself……I regret ever marrying you Victoria” Kaleb said and slam the door on her face. Victoria shivered immediately Kaleb left she went to summon her godmother.
It’s been five days since Kai left. No news from him. The king kept on sending men and sending men.
“Kaleb is everything alright?” I asked him
“No Nina…..it’s like the northern realm joined hands with the Vansham to fight use and we are out numbered. We are losing men and Kai……” He stopped.
“What about Kai….. please tell me!!!” I hold his sleeve.
“Kai is seriously injured and…..”
“Sire…….sire….. sire” injured men came in crying.
“Excuse me” Kaleb said and stepped forward beside the kind.
“Sire……..we won…..we won against the Vansham……” Everyone one rejoice. I smiled too. “But…..but Kai…..”
“Speak!!!” The king yelled.
“Sire…….prince Kai is……he dead!” He said.
“What!!!!” Kaleb and the king yelled.
“He was seriously injured…..we tried to make him retreat but…he..he was too stubborn…… without his sword he was slow…..his necklace was gone too he couldn’t heal fast!” He said and i look at my neck…..his necklace?
I drop on my knees…..”its not true….it can’t be true!!!” I yelled.
“Baron amd tge other men are bringing his body sire!” Everyone sheared tears
“Nina….it was all your fault!!!!” Victoria yelled
“Victoria!!!” Kaleb tried to stop her but she already dragged me out.
“My king…..it was her fault….Kai trade his sword for her…..look at her neck too….she stole.the necklace from Kai!!!!” Victoria yelled crying bitterly
“….” I wanted to.say something but my voice was too weak…..i was shaking all over. I could see the bitter gaze everyone throwed at me except from Kaleb.
“Take her out of me sight!” The king yelled. Kaleb carried me to.my room.
Kai’s corpse arrive in a day. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Everyone cried at his corpse.
I was in my room.
“Nina…are you not going to pay respect to the corpse?” Eva asked
“My kai is not dead….that’s not my Kai…..” I cried.
The king look around. “Where is Nina?”
“Sire…..she refused to.come she said Kai was still alive”
“Baron….go in there and drag her out!!!!” He yelled
“Father no….” Kaleb step in
“Don’t you dare stop my order” the king said to.kaleb.
I was dragged to go see the corpse…..i close my eyes tight.
“That’s not Kai…..it’s not….Kai is still alive….I Know” I cried.
Memories of that night filled my head. “Look at me Nina” Kai said.
“Noo…..”I covered my ears “Kai you’re not dead….you can’t die…..you promised you’ll take me back home….Kai….I won’t look at you” I cried.
I felt a hot slap on my cheeks but I still refused to open my eyes
“Victoria!!!” I heard Kaleb yelled.
“Look you bit-ch ….look the mess you’ve made…you killed him…..you killed Kai!!!” She drag my clothes and push me down but my eyes were still close.
When I got back to the room I say blood and scratch on my neck. I went and lye on the bed crying.
It’s been two days and without a burial rite by the wife….Kai cannot be buried. And I wasn’t going to do the rite.
“Nina….you have to eat something” Eva begged but I refuse. It was Al my fault he’s gone.
Seeing she was still crying day and night and refusing to.eat Moo called.for Baron.
“My princess it’s my fault I couldn’t protect him….so please eat” he begged and i cried even more
“No….no it’s my fault…I killed him……” I cried
“Nina….you have to be strong” baton said
“No……my strength is gone how can I be strong…..I didn’t even tell him I love him….no…I’ll tell him….Kai is not dead!” I said
“Nina….i saw it with my own two eyes……he dead!” Tears fall from his eyes……
“I’d never believe you…..” I yelled
“Nina…..” Baron yelled as the door barge open. It was the Queen.
She landed a slap on my cheeks and another on the other side.
“It’s your fault….you caused his death and you’re still refusing to do the rite so he can rest in peace…..”
My face hurts like hell.
“M….mom…..Kai….I know…Kai is still..
..” another slap across my face shut me up.
“Don’t you ever call his name again…..you witch!” She cursed and drag the necklace away from my neck.
“No…..!” I cried……
“Drag her….she must do the rite!” She said but i quickly ran outside the room and rushed to the shimmer…………………

I ran to the shimmer.
The Queen and her people came after me shortly.
“Nina……” The shimmer called.
“Shimmer…..” I cried.
“Shimmer…..Kai is dead but she doesn’t want to do the rite…..do you think I like seeing my son rotten!” She cried. “How heartless are you Nina…..”
“Nina…..the queen is right. You should do the rite so that Kai can rest in peace…..after that, you don’t have to worry about going back home……i have a solution to that…..” She handed me a little bottle “If you drink this Nina…you’d return to your world…..the memories would be gone” she added
“No….no I don’t want to.go…..” i cried. “I’d find kai…..i know Kai is not dead…..”
“Nina!!!!” Kaleb roar……”Enough….. enough of all this….can’t you see?, Kai is gone…..he’s dead…..get back to your senses!!!”
“Ok….I’ll do the rite but give me two days…..just too days…..I need to do something… please” I cried.
The king granted my wish…….
“Baron I need your help!” I said
“I’ll do anything you ask Nina” he said.
“You know Kai more than anybody in this palace….I want to hear just one word from you….don’t look at what you’ve seen….tell.me with you heart……do you think Kai can die so easily?” I asked and he lowered his head. But he raise his head back and his gaze turn seriously and angry.
“Kai is not dead…..he can’t die so easily….whats your plan Nina?” He asked and I smile.
“I need find Kai….I don’t know how but I need you to help me…..go to the orphanage and get Ella the little blond girl….., Moo I need you to steal my necklace back from the Queen, can you do that?” I asked and he nodded.
“Eva and Han…..you too prepare for our journey….am going to find the wizard who made the necklace for Kai” i said.
“Nina we won’t be able to find him in just two.day” Baron said.
“I know….and i won’t be coming back to this palace until I find Kai” I said.confidently.
They rode on horses while Ella, eva and i rode on a carriage. When night falls we rested and made tents and camp.
“I can’t see him…it’s like his existence is gone” Ella said.
“What do we do?” Moo asked
“Moo summon master…..he has to join us on this mission….” I said. “Don’t lose hope…..we have to find Kai”
I was asleep in my tent with Ella and Eva.
I found myself in a very hot place….. it was so hot. I look and saw a man…..he wanted to touch me but he couldn’t.
“Get her!!!” He yelled and i started running…. suddenly the floor began to.turn to burning charcoal. It was burning my legs and weakened my steps. I look back and saw the men were close to.me…….
Then I heard a voice “Nina…..” It was Kai’s……
“Kai……Kai…..!!!!” I yelled and opened my eyes.
I saw everyone wide awake looking at me.
“Are you okay?” Baron asked. I nodded
“Water” i said and he gave me a jar of water. I hold the jar and found blood on my hands and legs.
“What’s going on?” Eva asked. My eyes closed again and i found myself in the same spot.
“Nina…….” I heard Kai……. I stood up and started running.
“Kai…..Kai were are.you…… Kai…..” I called.
“Nina……” He called again and I got back to reality.
“Kai…..Kai is alive….I…I saw him!” I said
“Let me.connect my spirit with yours” Ella place her hands on my head. Suddenly she jerk back in shock. “It’s too hot….to hot” she said
“Did you hear him?” I asked
“Yes…..he was calling your name…..i don’t think he wasn’t calling you to find him…..he was calling you to leave” she said.
Eva was cleaning my wounds. “Tell me what I just saw? Is Kai alive then?” I asked
“Nina….if you do this you’ll get hurt….. please” Ella warned
“I don’t care…..tell me were he is!” I said
“He’s in the fire realm” she said and I saw the fear in their eyes.
“Baron……let’s go” i said
“N..Nina it’s too dangerous….you’re already got…..the…..”
“Baron it’s Kai we are talking about here!!!” I yelled
“Fine…let’s go….i have a good plan to get you into the dungeon to find Kai…………………………Tbc
