( DEAD )

“Ju… Julius, what are you doing here?” Lottie stammered as she rose to her feet.

He shoved his hands inside his pan-ts pocket and stepped further into the room, tilting his head to the side as he stared between Lottie and Diamond.

“Shouldn’t you be outside, waiting for the guests to arrive?” Lottie questioned, scratching the back of her neck.

Diamond eyes were fixed on the man who turned out to be her father.

What kind of fate is this?

Why him of every other man in this world?

‘Diamond, calm down. Lottie could be lying. That girl does nothing but lie.’ Diamond thought to herself.

However, she knows better than to keep lying to herself.

If his full name is truly Julius Santiago then indeed, he was her biological father.

Julius finally reached where Lottie remained standing and stood beside her, in front of the prisoners.

He likewise had his gaze fixed on the nanny while clenching and unclenching his fist.

Aria tried to hold the nanny but with her hands and legs tied, she couldn’t move a muscle.

“Diamond…” She tried calling out but Diamond did not answer her as she had her full attention on the man who was also paying her all of his attention.

He must have heard all of Lottie’s confession but one thing nobody knows is how he was going to react to the news.

Does he want a child?

Does he believe the confession?

Regardless of how he was going to react, Diamond refuse to accept him as her father.

He killed people. He ra-ped her mother which resulted in her birth. He is a drug dealer, a kidnapper, a rapist, and a bad man.

“Julius Santiago… right?” She asked in a very quiet voice, crossing her heart to hear a negative response.

Julius creased his brows dee-per, balling his fist very tight to the point of his knuckles turning white.

“Ye… Yes.” His voice cracked as he answered her question.

Diamond’s breath ceased to exist immediately. If her hands weren’t tied or her legs, she would have run out of the room after hearing this horrible news.

( “Julius Santiago is your biological father.” ) Her mother had told her in the hospital.

Tears streamed down the nanny’s face as she began to remember all that she has pa-ssed throu-ghat the hands of this man who turns out to be her father. Like what the hell?

Why him?

Why not somebody else? She was ready to accept a crippled as a father. But definitely not this man who tortured and traumatized her. This man who killed the wife of the man she loves. This man who ra-ped Aria. This man who made her birth feel more like a curse.

Julius turned to face his accomplice, tears were welled in his eyes.

“Why didn’t you tell me when you found out?” He asked.

Lottie took a step back. “Tell you what?” She asked, trying to play dumb.

“Don’t you dare, Lottie.” He snarled.

“Julius, I don’t know what you are talking about. What did I find out that I am supposed to_”

“LOTTIE!” He roared, suddenly grabbing hold of her wrist.

“Ow.” Lottie hissed in pain as she tried to pull her wrist from his tight grasp. “What are you doing? You are hurting me. Let go!”

“You knew she was my daughter but kept it away from me?”

He heard.

“I… I… I thought you were not going to like the idea of having a child. You can’t blame me, Julius. And besides, I asked you on our way here, remember?”

“You asked if I had a child… what was I supposed to answer? Yes, my child is the girl we just kidnapped and I’m planning to kill her. Was that the response you were expecting?” He gro-aned, tightening his hold around her wrist. “How the fuc-k was I supposed to know that I have a fuc-k ing daughter!”

“So?” Lottie fired back, anger glistening in her eyes. “What does the truth have to change, huh? She is your daughter and so what? Are you going to betray me now? Is that it?”

“Everything changes because there is no way in hell I am going to kill my daughter to satisfy your greed and ambition.”

Lottie’s face dropped as soon as she heard him say that.

“What did you just say?”

“You heard me, Lottie.”

“Do not be stupid, Julius. I never expected this lame reaction from you! What makes you think she is going to accept you as her father? Have you forgotten so soon all you have done to her? Do I need to list them out for you? Huh?” She barked.

Julius’ grasp around Lottie’s wrist loosened as he turned to face the nanny.

“How long have you known the truth?” He asked her.

Diamond did not answer.

“She recently found out.” Aria tiredly answered for her new friend.

“Why… Why…”

“Doing all this won’t change how I feel about you, Julius.” Diamond interrupted him. “For once I am going to agree with that bit-ch …” She nodded her head in Lottie’s direction. “…I can never accept you as my father. Never.”

“I get it. But… How is this even possible? How did I not know? How…?”

“Stop it!” Diamond yelled angrily. “Stop trying to play the nice man card with me. I know who you really are. You are a rapist, a murderer, a kidnapper, a drug dealer, and a very bad man. I feel so disgusted to be called your daughter!”

“Diamond, can you at least hear me out?”

“Hear you out?” She repeated. “What do you possibly have to say, sir? Answer me!”

“All of those things you said… Yes, I did all of that and that’s because of the frustration and_”

“Shut up.” She cut him off. Fresh tears rolled down her face. “Do you know what I pa-ssed throu-gh? Do you know how I was mocked and ridiculed because my mother had me throu-ghra-pe? Do you even know what my mother made me pas-sthrou-gh? Wait a minute, you should know. After all, the day I ran away from home and saw you in the amusement park, I asked you for help but little did I know…” She sniffled. “little did I know you were the devil’s advocate.”

Julius let go of Lottie’s hand and rushed to kneel down in front of Diamond.

“Listen, all of those things I did I wouldn’t have done them if I had known that you were my daughter.”

“Do you know the saying… ‘never throw a stone in the market because it might end up hitting someone dear to you.’ I shouldn’t be your daughter first for you not to hurt me the way you did.” She told him.

“Enough of this bullshit,” Lottie stated, grabbing their attention. She was pointing a gun at them – especially at Julius.

“What are you doing?” Julius asked under his breath.

“What am I not doing?” She retorted. “How dare you think you can betray me, Julius? You promised to stick by my side all throu-ghthis deal. How dare you go back to your words!”

“You betrayed me first by keeping the truth away from me.”

“I did it to protect your emotions. Look at you now, you look like a complete mess.” She hissed.

“What…”

“If you are not going to help me kill that bit-ch ,” She shrugged. “then I am going to end her life myself.”

“Lottie, stop what you are doi_” Aria began but got interrupted as Lottie raised the gun and fired a shot into the air and then went back into pointing the gun at Julius.

“No one should say a fuc-k ing word. Do I make myself clear?” She cleared her throat. “Since my accomplice has decided to betray me, the plan is going to change. Because I am the one in control now.”

Julius smirked, coming up to his feet.

“You know that gun doesn’t faze me, baby girl.” He winked.

“I will shoot you.” She threatened.

“Will you?” He raised a brow as he began advancing to her.

She quickly moved the gun to point at Diamond directly.

“If you don’t stop walking right now, I am going to shoot your dear daughter. Wanna bet?”

Julius lifted his hands up in the air and stopped walking towards Lottie.

“I thought as much,” She laughed. “Are you really going to betray me for her?”

“Nobody is betraying anybody. Drop down the gun.”

“No.” She vigorously shook her head. “I don’t fuc-k ing believe you.”

“Lottie…”

She pulled the trigger on his right arm.

“Ah. What the fuc-k !?” Aria yelped, staring wide eyes at Lottie.

“Shut up, bit-ch or you are going to be next, and trust me, I am not going to miss shooting your forehead.” She growled.

“What the fuc-k is your problem?” Diamond asked. “Are you going to kill him now because he wants to stop you from committing a crime?”

“What crime am I committing, dear nanny? What crime!? You are the cause of all these. Because of you…” She paused. “I hate you so much, you piece of shit. You should have died the day I stabbed you. Why didn’t you? Why did you have to live to make matters so complicated for me?”

“You are so selfish, Lottie!” Diamond fired back in anger. “All you care about is yourself and nobody else. What are you waiting for exactly? Shoot me already. Kill me and end this shit once and for all.”

”You think I can’t do it?” Lottie gro-aned. “You think I can’t pull the trigger? If I were you I will mind the things that splatter out of my mouth.”

“How many times do I have to tell you that you don’t scare me? Keep the gun aside and I swear I am going to beat you to your death!”

Lottie angrily stormed towards Diamond and released a heavy punch on her right cheek.

“Ow,” Diamond whined and spat out blood from her mouth.

“How dare you speak to me in such a low manner? Do you think I am here to joke with you?”

“Is that all you’ve got, Lottie? I was expecting much worse. Go on, hit me! Kill me.”

Lottie dropped her gun aside and started punching Diamond in the face repeatedly. She grasped her hair and started pulling it very hard, kicking the nanny on her stomach and face.

“Lottie, stop it. What are you doing? Stop it!” Aria cried, struggling to lose the rope binding her hands together.

“I am going to be the one who beats you to death, shameless thing.” Lottie continued her a-ssault without a care in the world.

“Enough,” Julius said from behind, pointing his gun at Lottie this time around.

She stopped hitting Diamond and turned around to face Julius.

Diamond weakly dropped to the ground. Her face was full of blood and her breath was raspy. If not because of the fact that her hands and legs were tied, she would have dealt with Lottie but as fate would have it…

“Diamond,” Aria called out softly.

“Touch her one more time and I swear I am going to shoot you.” Julius threatened. “On your knees.”

“You are kidding, right?”

“Lottie, do not let me pull the trigger. We both know I can do it. Go on your knees before I lose it.” He snapped.

“Fine.” She slowly went down to her knees, glaring very ha-rd at him.

He approached Aria and loosened the rope around her wrists and ankles without taking his eyes off Lottie.

“Check up on Diamond.” He said.

Aria crawled over to Diamond, fresh tears rolling down her face.

“Diamond… please open your eyes.”

There was no response.

“Is she still breathing?” He asked.

Aria checked the nanny’s pulse and she could still feel her breathing.

“Yes. But I don’t know why she is not opening her eyes…”

“I am fine, Aria.” Diamond said in a weak voice, peeling her eyes open.

“Oh, God. She is alright.” Aria chuckled. “You scared the hell out of me, I thought you died.”

“Died? A knife stab couldn’t kill me so what makes you think a beating will?”

“You nau-ghty girl. Let me untie your hands and legs,” Aria loosened the ropes on Diamond’s hands and legs and then helped her sit upright on the floor.

“fuc-k , my face hurts.” Diamond whined.

“I’m sorry. You will be fine.”

“What are you going to do now, Julius? Take them and run off? Don’t be stupid. Mikhail and Octavius are on their way here already.”

“Mik… Mikhail is coming to save me?” Diamond questioned, a little bit surprised.

“And so? Do you think he is doing it because of love? It is because of his daughter, okay? And trust me, he is going to regret ever coming here by the time he finds out the whole truth about your biological father. You have no future with him so, wake up from your fairytale dream.” Lottie laughed evilly.

“If Mikhail is a fool then yes, he is going to hate her for her father’s sin. But if he is a wise man…” Aria smiled. “He won’t blame her for anything. And I can bet with my life that he loves her.”

“I can’t believe I have been friends with a complete idiot for so long.” Lottie snarled. “We are supposed to be best friends. You are supposed to be on my damn side.”

“Best friends?” Aria forcefully stood up and walked towards Lottie. “You kidnapped me. You watched a man ra-pe me. You hit me. And you say what?”

“You betrayed me first.”

“I never betrayed you, goddammit!” Aria retorted. “I was ready to cover up your crimes as long as you were okay. I even advised you to leave the country after stabbing a precious soul to death but thank God, she didn’t die. You said I am supposed to be on your side,” She scoffed. “Give me one reason why I should. Can you even make up a reason? Of course not. You are selfish and a lowlife bit-ch . Do you know my regret?” She leaned her face closer to Lottie’s. “Having a friend like you. That’s my regret.”

Lottie’s face hardened and her blood boiled in anger. She wanted to hurt Aria in so many ways but the gun pointed at her made her think otherwise.

“Aria, get Diamond and you both should get out of here.” Julius said.

“Why are you helping us?” Diamond asked. “Is it because you found out that I am your daughter? Huh?”

“I am not that bad, Diamond. Okay, maybe I am that bad but you are my only daughter. My blood. If this is the only good thing I can do for you, then fine.”

“I will never accept you as my father.” She told him and he nodded his head.

“I don’t mind. Just be safe.”

Aria helped Diamond stand up to her feet.

“Can you walk on your own?”

Diamond nodded. “Yes. Thank you.” She stared at Julius for a few minutes and started heading to the door alongside Aria but their journey was cut short when two boys stood in their way – Joel and Denise.

“And where do you think you are going to?” Joel asked.

Julius faced them, a little bit distracted from Lottie.

“Get out of the way and let them throu-gh.”

“Is this a part of the plan or what?” Denise asked.

Lottie grabbed a rod from the side, unnoticed, and hit it against Julius’ head.

“fuc-k .” He screamed and staggered back a little.

She hit his hand and he released the gun immediately.

“Don’t let the prisoners go.” She said to her boys as she snatched the gun from the gun and shot Julius in his left arm and both legs.

He screamed once again and fell to the ground, blood gushing out.

“What makes you think you could betray me and get away with it, Julius?” She asked. “I am the one with the gun now, I am the one with the rules. I don’t bloody need your help.” She shot him in the head.

Julius’ head practically exploded and his blood flew everywhere, painting the ground and walls in red color.

“OH, MY GOD.” Aria shouted, squeezing her eyes shut in fear.

Lottie moved the gun to the girls and plastered a smile of victory on her face.

“Your savior is dead and he is the reason why I haven’t killed you, Diamond. But now that is he gone, I am entitled to make all of the decisions.”

“Uhm, Lottie. Before you go on, there is something you need to know…” Joel and Denise began but she cut them off.

“Shut the fuc-k up or I am going to shoot you too. Nobody says a word aside from me.” She warned.

“Are you going to kill me now?”

“Of course. Mikhail is on his way here… or wait, I’m sure Octavius hasn’t figured out where he can find us. Regardless, I have to still shoot you dead before things turn out bad for me.”

Joel and Denise exchanged glances but didn’t say anything.

“What are you waiting for then? Shoot me. Pull the trigger already! Go on, do it!” Diamond yelled.

“As you wish, dear nanny.”

A loud gunshot was heard in the room and it was followed by a scream from Aria.
