BFF’S APARTMENT**

“You’re back.” Ayden opened the door wider for her to enter.

“Yeah.” Zara yawned, tiredly. “How was your day?”

“Boring.” He cleared his throat. “Uhm, Zara.”

“Yes?”

“There is something I need to tell you before you walk into the living room.” He said, standing in her way.

“What did you do, Ayden?” Zara asked, giving him a suspicious look.

“You see…well…I…”

“Hi.” Sean’s voice filled the room, catching Zara by surprise.

Her eyes wide-ned as she pushed Ayden out of her way to take a better look at the last guy she ever want to see.

“What…what is going on here?” She faced Ayden.

“Shit, I told you to stay back until I inform her about your presence.” Ayden said.

“I’m sorry. I noticed how ha-rd it was for you to tell her.”

“Even thou_”

“I SAID WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?” She barked, cutting them off.

Ayden quickly backed away. “Zara, please you have to calm down.”

“Calm down? I told you not to let this guy anywhere near me or this house. What is he doing here?”

“Babe_” Sean tried to touch her but she stepped away from his reach.

“What do you want? Why are you here?” She glared.

“You need to hear me out, please.” He pleaded.

“Hear you out?” She scoffed. “Why should I do that? What explanation…or no, what lie do you want to tell me, huh?”

“I swear,” He paused. “what you saw that day isn’t exactly what happened. Just let me explain everything. I beg of you.”

“I don’t want to hear anything from you, Sean. I saw enough and I don’t want to be reminded of it.” She said.

“She forced herself on me!” He exclaimed. “Believe me, I would never do anything to hurt you. I love you so much, Zara. You are my life, my world, my happiness. I can’t live without you.”

“Then die.” She growled.

“Zara!” Ayden called out in shock, never expecting her to say something like that.

She whipped her head in his direction. The pain and anger were evident in her eyes.

“Why? Why do you have to do something like this?”

“He wanted to explain himself to you. You never gave him the chance to.”

“Because I don’t want to. Boys are nothing but cheat. They don’t care about anyone but their dic-k s.” She cried.

“I care about you, I swear.” He stepped close. “Zara, I will never hurt_”

“Stop saying that!” She cut him off. “You hurt me, Sean. You hurt me beyond imagination so stop making a promise you’ve already broken. It’s annoying.” She said. “And you,” She shook her head at Ayden. “I don’t think I can ever forgive you for this.” She walked past Sean and went upstairs, vanishing into her bedroom.

Sean let out a de-ep breath, ruffling his hair.

“I’m sorry, Ayden. I should never have insisted that you let me in.” He apologized.

“It’s okay. I’m going to talk to her, okay?” Ayden a-ssured.

“Why are you on my side? I hurt Zara. You should be mad at me.”

“I know you, Sean. You would never hurt Zara on purpose. I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation for whatever scene she witnessed. I’m sorry this is happening to you. She will come around, trust me.”

“Hmm. Thank you for believing in me. You don’t know how much that means to me. I owe you.” Sean patted him gently on the shoulder and left the house.

Ayden took out his phone and texted Diamond.

AYDEN: HEY. THERE IS SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.

There was no response.

“Is she busy?” He asked himself, sighing.

DIAMOND’S ROOM**

She stepped out of the bathroom, drying her hair with a white towel.

She shrieked in shock when she unexpectedly saw Aurora seated on her bed.

“What are you doing here?” She asked, creasing her brows.

“I’m here to see you. I came here before but you were having your bath so I had to go back to my room, take a quick shower, and return. ” She answered.

“So you just randomly decided to scare me, is that it?”

“I’m sorry but that wasn’t my intention.”

“What are you doing here?”

“First of all I want to tell you that I’m okay and that you have nothing to worry about what happened earlier ago. Yes, I was in shock but look,” She spun around. “I’m fine.”

“Okay. You can leave my room now.” Diamond said as she strode to the dressing table.

“Can you say it again?” The kid asked.

“What?”

She smiled. “Say my name again.”

“Huh?”

“You called me by my name at the amusement park for the first time ever.” She grinned. “I want you to repeat it, please.”

“Kid, go to your room. As you can see, I’m busy.”

“I will leave as soon as you call me by my name, I promise.”

“And if I don’t?”

“Then I am not going anywhere.” She said, adamantly.

“Listen, kid, I am still very upset with you for not getting out of the way like I had asked you to. And if you keep doing this…I will get more upset with you. Do you want that?”

Aurora pursed her li-ps and shook her head.

“Good. Now leave my room.”

“Okay.” Little Aurora jumped down from the bed and left the room, looking so sad.

Diamond let out a de-ep breath and ran her fingers over her hair.

★“AURORA, GET OUT OF THE WAY!”★

She was so terrified when the horse ran towards Aurora like that.

What if something bad had happened?

She shook her head, getting rid of the thoughts and imaginations.

Diamond goes into the closet and wore yellow shorts and a singlet. She stepped out of the closet, went towards the table, grabbed her phone from it, and then saw a text message from Ayden.

AYDEN: HEY. THERE IS SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Diamond knitted her brows, stepping out of the bedroom.

She typed a response.

DIAMOND: HEY. WHAT’S WRONG?

She descended the stairs and sighted Evelyn coming out of the kitchen.

“Evelyn,” She smiled.

“Oh, Miss Chase.” The woman returned the young lady’s smile with one of her own. “You seem better than when you returned earlier.”

“I’m sorry for being such a bit-ch .”

“Don’t say that. You were upset and I get it.”

“Paige must have told you what happened.”

“Yes, she did.”

“Hmm.”

Evelyn reached out to hold the nanny’s hand. “You should not beat yourself up for what happened at the amusement park. It is not your fault, you hear?”

“I don’t know, Evelyn. Would the boss have thought the same?”

Evelyn bites her lower li-p. “Things will be so messy for everyone if anything ever happens to his little princess.”

Diamond sighed.

“Do you want to eat dinner?” Evelyn asked.

“No. I’m not hungry.”

“Then what about a glas-sof milk or hot chocolate?”

“Nah. I’m cool.”

“Okay. If you change your mind, ring me up, okay?”

“Hmm. I will be outside. I need fresh air.”

“Sure. Of course.”

Diamond smiled again and strolled out of the house. Another text message popped up.

AYDEN: IT’S ABOUT ZARA.

“Zara? What happened to her?” She panicked, typing back immediately.

DIAMOND: WHAT HAPPENED TO HER? IS SHE ALRIGHT? fuc-k ! HAS SHE GOTTEN HOME YET?

ZODIAC CLUB**

“The usual,” Rosa ordered.

Jerry quietly mixed up the drinks and handed her the shot.

“Are you alright?” She asked him, taking a sip of the drink.

“Of course. Thanks for showing concern.” He blankly said, going to answer another customer.

“Did something happen between the both of you?” Lexi asked.

“Uh, not really.”

“It’s a yes or no answer.”

“Well,” Rosa sighed. “Let’s have the conversation some other time, okay?” She walked away.

Jerry returned. “Do you need something, Lexi?”

“A glas-sof tequila, please.” She smiled.

“Coming right up.”

After a few seconds, he returned with her order.

“Here,”

“Thank you.” She collected it and took a small gulp. “fuc-k .” She cringed as the hotness of the drink burned her throat. “You don’t appear to be in a good mood, Jerry. Is anything the matter?”

“Nah. I’m fine.” He responded.

“Hmm.”

He looked around. “Where is Rosa?”

“She has mixed with the crowd, I guess. Why do you ask?”

He shook his head, sighing. “No reason.”

She took the rest of the drink and left the bar.

Jerry turned to one other bartender. “Can you watch over the bar for me?”

“Of course. But where are you heading off to?”

“I need fresh air.”

“Okay.”

Jerry went throu-ghthe back door and went outside. However, he was surprised to see Rosa.

“What are you doing here?” He queried.

Rosa raised her head to look at him, there was shock written on her face as well.

“I…” She hesitated. “I need some privacy.”

“Oh. I should leave then.” He turned around hug she stopped him.

“You don’t have to do that, Jerry. Don’t make yourself uncomfortable because of me.”

“I am not uncomfortable. You said you needed some privacy, that’s why I’m leaving.” He said.

“Well, you don’t have to. I will need your company if you don’t mind.” She muttered.

He hesitated before sitting down beside her. “Alright.”

There was a long silence between them.

Jerry pulled out a pack of cigarettes and drew out one stick.

“Need one?” He asked her.

“I don’t smoke.” She said.

“Oh, my bad. Sorry.”

“You don’t have to apologize.” She smiled.

He kept the cigarettes away without taking anyone for himself.

“Are you mad at me?” She suddenly asked.

“What?”

Rosa cleared her throat, facing him. “Are you mad at me?” She repeated.

“Should I be?”

“I don’t know. Maybe?”

“Why maybe?”

“I should never have rejected you like the way I did. I’m sorry about that.”

“Hey, you don’t have to apologize for anything. You have every right to reject or accept my feelings. I can’t force you, you know.”

“But still.” She lowered her head. “I ki-ssed you without your consent and made you feel_”

“I have always liked you even before the ki-ss.” He cut her off.

She looked up at him, stunned. “You have?”

He nodded. “Yes. I just didn’t know if I really liked you or lusted over your body. But after the ki-ss, I knew exactly what I felt. I’m sorry for telling you about my feelings and making you uncomfortable. I should have considered your feelings first before doing anything stupid.”

“Telling me what you felt isn’t being stupid.” She said.

“That was how I felt after telling you and getting rejected.” He murmured.

“I’m sorry.”

“You will make it worse if you keep apologizing like that, Rosa.” He sighed. “Do you like Felix?”

She ran the tip of her tongue over her li-ps, shrugging. “I don’t know.”

“That was the same answer you gave me that night. You should look dee-per into your heart and know what you really want, babes.”

“What if I like him, will you still be my friend?”

“Mm-hmm. Simply because you rejected me doesn’t mean we should keep malice or hate each other. I’m happy as long as you are.” He stated.

“You are such an amazing guy, Kerry.” She smiled.

Jerry chuckled. “Ah, you don’t know how much I missed that name.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“Kerry, Kerry, Kerry, Kerry, Kerry, Kerry…”

They both started laughing.

“What are you doing?” He said in between laughter.

“I don’t know.” She grinned.

Jerry su-cked in a de-ep breath, staring at the night sky while Rosa on the other hand had her gaze on him.

“Rosa,” He called without taking his eyes off the sky.

“Yes?”

“Do I still have a chance?”

“What?”

“I might want to be your friend but I think it will take a while for my feelings for you to fade away if you ever choose to be with Felix. However,” He moved his eyes to her. “If you eventually decide to reconsider my feelings…ask me out on a dance in the club.” She did not say anything. “Will you do that?”

There was no response from her.

‘I’m confused.’ Rosa thought, her heart beating twice fast-er than usual.

They both held each other gazes for a pretty long time and then she slowly nodded her head.

“Okay.”

Ca-ssANO’S MANSION★PAVEMENT**

AYDEN: DID SHE TELL YOU ANYTHING EARLIER TODAY DURING THE HANG-OUT?

DIAMOND: NO. NOT REALLY.

DIAMOND: IS SHE SUPPOSED TO TELL ME SOMETHING?

AYDEN: SHE BROKE UP WITH SEAN.

Diamond’s eyes wide-ned in utmost shock and confusion.

She quickly type a response.

DIAMOND: WHAT? WHY? WHAT HAPPENED?

A reply came in shortly after.

AYDEN: I DON’T KNOW. SHE IS NOT SAYING ANYTHING. I’m TRYING TO GET HER TO TALK BUT SHE’S NOT.

“Oh, my God. How can I be so stupid? Why didn’t I notice anything?” Diamond asked herself.

DIAMOND: WHERE IS SHE NOW?

AYDEN: SHE LOCKED HERSELF UP IN HER BEDROOM. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW.

DIAMOND: LET ME SEND HER A TEXT MESSAGE.

AYDEN: IS SHE GOING TO REPLY?

DIAMOND: THAT DOESN’T MEAN I SHOULDN’T TRY, RIGHT?

AYDEN: ALRIGHT THEN. I JUST HOPE SHE CONFIDES IN YOU AND SAYS WHAT’S BOTHERING HER.

Diamond tapped into Zara’s contact and sent her a message.

DIAMOND: HEY BABES, HAVE YOU GOTTEN HOME?

It was almost five minutes and there was no reply from Zara.

“Ugh, God.”

“What are you doing here?” A dark voice interrupted her.

“Ahh!” Diamond screamed in shock, almost falling off the bench. She turned around and saw her boss. “fuc-k , you scared me.”

He had his hands stuffed inside his pan-ts pocket and a de-ep scowl was plastered on his face.

“What are you doing here?” He asked again.

She swallowed nothing, standing up. “Uh, nothing. I just…” She hesitated. “I needed a quiet place to stay, here was the perfect place I could think of aside from the garden.”

“Why didn’t you go to the garden?”

She bites her lower li-p and shrugs. “Honestly, I don’t know.”

Mikhail sighed and sat down on the bench while Diamond remained standing.

“You can seat.” He offered.

She smiled and sat down beside him. “Thank you.”

He examined her quietly. “What is the matter?”

“Eh?”

He gave her the ‘don’t make me repeat myself’ look.

“Well,” She cleared her throat. “there is nothing wrong.”

He stayed quiet.

“Uhm,” Diamond ran the tip of her tongue over her li-ps. “thank you for today.”

He raised a brow at her.

“You gave us your credit card and we had a lot of fun today. Thank you.”

“I didn’t do it for you.”

She nodded. “I know but still.”

It was silence once again.

“Why are you here?” She asked out of the blue.

“This is my house and I can choose to be wherever I want. Do you have a problem with that?”

“What? Of course not.” She shook her head.

“I thought as much.” He leaned back in the chair, staring into space.

Diamond did the same.

She was feeling uncomfortable. The silence between them was killing her gradually.

“You have a beautiful home.” She splattered before she could stop herself.

“You’ve stayed here for over two and a half months and you are just realizing that?”

“Stupid me.” She chuckled nervously and started scrolling throu-ghher phone, trembling a little.

‘What’s wrong with me? Why am I so nervous?’ She thought, biting her lower li-p.

“Are you nervous?” Mikhail asked, moving his gaze to her.

Diamond slowly looked up at his face and immediately regretted it. The lust in his eyes was evident.

She gulped nothing, willing to look away but she felt trapped in those dark piercing eyes of his.

He scooted closer to her.

“Are you okay?” He ran his fingertips over her thighs, reminding her of his hot touches that night in the kitchen and how he left her hanging and wanting more.

“I…I guess so.” She muttered.

Mikhail leaned his face close to hers. “I don’t want to keep doing this.”

“Why?”

“Because it is wrong for different reasons.”

“How do you mean?”

He wrapped his arms around her wa-istand swiftly placed her straddle on his lap.

“I don’t want to explain myself.” He said, staring at her erected n*pples. “You are h*rny.”

‘fuc-k . Yes, I am. I don’t know how you keep making me h*rny with a mere touch.’ She thought, gazing into his eyes.

“I really want to fuc-k you here but I don’t know if I’m going to regret it.”

“The first time we fuc-k ed, did you regret it?” She asked.

He didn’t answer immediately.

“No.”

She ran her plan over his broad chest, rocking herself back and forth directly on his dic-k .

“Then stop hesitating and fuc-k me.”

As soon as she said, he slammed his li-ps on hers, ki-ssing her rou-ghly and hungrily. Diamond ki-ssed him back, matching the energy.

His hands explored her body like they had a mind of their own.

She mo-an-ed into the ki-ss, closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around his neck, de-epening the ki-ss.

He cupped her b**t cheek, squeezing and rocking it on himself.

He dived his tongue into her mouth, earning muffled mo-ans from her.

‘fuc-k , what is she doing to me?’ He thought to himself.

He won’t deny how difficult it was for him to keep his mind straight without thinking about her all day.

He broke the ki-ss and attacked her neck.

Diamond tilted her head to the side, granting him access to torture her with his amazing ki-sses.

“Do you mind me fuc-k ing you out here?” He asked.

“No.” She quickly shook her head, rocking him fast-er.

“What if we get caught? Isn’t that going to tarnish your reputation?” He gro-aned.

“I don’t care. Just fuc-k me.” She mo-an-ed, breathlessly.

Unknowing to them, Lottie has been watching them from behind.

‡Cli-p OF THE PAST‡

“Please don’t kill me.” The brunette girl said, crying.

“I’m not going to kill you, dear.” The hulking man grinned.

“Then let me go. Why are you still keeping me here?”

He shrugged. “Because I love being in control and holding helpless children like you hostage. Your parents must be worried sick about you now.”

“They don’t care about me.” She sniffled.

“Oh, really?”

“Yes. All they care about is…” She stopped crying and look at the man’s face. “Wait a minute, how about we make a deal?”

He raised a questioning brow at her. “What?”

“How about you let me go and I will give you something else in return? What’d you say about that?”

TBC.
