AMUSEMENT PARK**

Diamond knitted her brows. “What do you mean by that?”

Lottie gave out a sly smile and shrugged. “It is a piece of harmless advice, dear nanny. Like; Do not let your guard down and don’t cross my path.”

“Are you threatening me?”

“That’s preposterous!” She exclaimed. “Why would I threaten you? Do I look like someone who would hurt a fly?” She chuckled. “Just be careful.”

“NANNY! AUNTIE!” Aurora called out, waving at them to come over.

“We should go and have fun, don’t you think? I mean, that’s why we are here, isn’t it?” She smiled. But as soon as she walked past Diamond, the smile on her face disappeared.

Diamond stood still for a while, thinking about what Lottie had just told her.

★“In as much as I don’t want you to remember…I know that will be an impossible wish. But listen, the day you remember or stand in my way again…I will be making another deal with the devil.”★

“What does she mean?” She asked, biting her lower li-p. “What devil?”

★“Don’t fool yourself, Diamond. You are still curious and wondering what I am doing in your memory.”★

“She’s right. I’m curious to know the connection between the both of us. Who is she? And what deal is she talking about?”

“DIAMOND!” A voice interrupted her. It was Zara that called out to her this time around. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? COME ON!”

“I’M COMING!” Diamond yelled back and started walking towards them.

‘What is this memory? Who really is this girl called Lottie?’ She thought to herself.

“Are you okay?” Zara asked just as Diamond got to them.

“Uhm, yeah.” She caught Lottie staring at her, smirking. ‘I can’t give this bit-ch the satisfaction of ruining my mood. I have to push whatever thought aside and have fun with everyone.’ She cleared her throat and looked around. “Are we not going for the ride?”

Aurora pulled her hand from Lottie’s grasp and ran to her nanny.

“We are! I’m super excited, nanny. But scared as well.”

“Really?” The kid nodded, pouting. “You can sit with me then. Let’s go!”

“Yes!!!” Everyone screamed aside from Lottie who had an uninterested look on her face.

Diamond paid for their tickets using the black credit card and they all stepped inside the roller coaster train and sat down, waiting for the train to get filled up so that the ride can begin.

Aurora sat with Diamond, Paige sat with Zara and Lottie sat with a stranger.

HOSPITAL

GARDEN**

There were patients everywhere including their families that came to visit.

Felix sat down alone on a bench, staring at the people around him.

A few moments later, he heard footsteps approaching him. He didn’t bother to look because he knew who it was.

“Hey,” Rosa sat down beside him. “Here,” She handed him a takeout cup of Americano while she held one for herself. “Hope you are okay with this?”

Felix collected it and smiled. “Yes, thank you.”

“You are welcome.” They both sipped from the cup and let out a soft breath. “It’s amazing.”

“I second the motion.”

She chuckled. “I’m glad you are enjoying it.”

“Yeah…”

“How do you feel now?” She asked.

“Embarra-ssed.” He answered.

She frowned. “Embarra-ssed? Of what?”

“Oh come on, don’t act like you don’t remember.” He sighed. “I can’t remember the last time I cried in front of a girl.”

Rosalie smiled. “Hey, don’t feel embarra-ssed because of that.”

“I can’t help it.” He shrugged.

“Well,” She took another sip of her drink. “I don’t mind giving you my shoulder to cry on as long as you are going to feel better afterward.”

Felix slowly turned to face her. “Really?”

“Mm-hmm.” She nodded. “I want you to always be happy, Felix. You deserve happiness. Everyone does.”

“I hurt other people…” He muttered quietly, lowering his gaze to the floor. “, especially Diamond.”

“Then ask for forgiveness.” She suggested.

“Do I deserve her forgiveness? I really hurt her.” He stated.

“Hey, no one is above mistakes or sin, Felix. You’ve admitted to your mistakes and you want to amend them. She might not forgive you but what matters is that you have done your part.” She said.

Felix raised his head and stared at her.

She gave him a rea-ssuring smile. “You are an amazing person. Stop hating yourself for what you did in the past. It won’t fix anything. All you have to do is,” She paused. “ask for forgiveness from the people you hurt and correct things. I’m sure_”

Felix suddenly slammed his li-ps against hers, cutting her off.

Rosalie’s eyes wide-ned as she sat still in utmost shock.

She never expected the ki-ss.

Felix dropped the cup of Americano aside and wrapped his arms around her waist, bringing her closer to himself.

Slowly, Rosalie eased herself into the ki-ss and began to ki-ss him back, closing her eyes.

He stuck out his tongue, asking for entrance into her mouth. She hesitated but granted it to him.

The ki-ss was gentle and tender. Time stopped moving and it was as if they were the only ones left in the whole universe.

Rosalie’s stomach twisted in a knot and her heartbeat accelerated.

His hands moved gently over her body. He was careful not to hurt or break her.

He treated her like an egg, careful not to apply pressure because if he does, she might crack and that was the last thing he wants.

She threw the cup of Americano on the floor and wrapped her arms around his neck, de-epening the ki-ss.

She has never felt this way before. The first time they ki-ssed was nothing compared to now.

Their emotions were everywhere and the feelings they held de-ep down began to surface.

“Eww.” A child’s voice interrupted them.

Felix and Rosa pulled apart, breaking the ki-ss.

“That’s disgusting.” The child said, and a white puppy standing beside her on a leash howled.

“Hi.” Rosa waved in embarra-ssment. “I…love your puppy. What is his name?”

“It’s a she.” The little girl corrected, scrunching her face. “Come on, Jesse, let’s go.” She tugged at the leash and left with her puppy.

“Gosh.” Rosa heaved out, running her fingers throu-ghher hair. “That was…embarra-ssing.”

“You look so cute right now.” Felix complimented, watching her closely.

She blus-hed ha-rd as she faced him.

“Why had you done that?”

“ki-ss you?” He questioned and she nodded. “Because I’ve always wanted to.”

“That’s the only reason?”

“Actually,” He hesitated. “I…”

“Mr. Felix!” Daria ran towards them, breathing heavily. “There you are, I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”

“What is it?” He asked.

“Ma’am Layla is awake.” She said.

“She is?” The maid nodded. He jumped up on his feet. “Come on Rose, let’s go.”

“Okay.” Rosa stood up and caught sight of the child who had caught them ki-ssing, she was staring at her.

The girl pointed her index and middle finger to her eyes and then moved them to Rosa, giving her the ‘I am watching you’ look.

“Uh…” Rosalie awkwardly smiled and quickly looked away, running after Felix and Daria who were almost at the front door of the hospital.

AMUSEMENT PARK**

“Aaaaah!”

Screams filled the air.

Aurora held Diamond’s hand, squeezing her eyes shut and screaming at the top of her lungs.

“This is amazing!” Zara screamed, chuckling.

Lottie pursed her li-ps, folding her arms over her chest.

They are to go on the ride ten times.

Diamond had a huge smile on her face, her mouth wide open as she screamed In excitement.

Paige wasn’t excluded from those screaming.

Finally, the ride came to an end.

Aurora could not stand up, Diamond had to carry her in her arms and stepped out of the roller coaster train, laughing.

“That was…splendid!” Zara said.

“I was scared to death.” Paige coughed lightly, placing her heart over her chest as if checking the beat of her heart.

“What should we do next?” Diamond asked, dropping Aurora on both feet on the floor.

Aurora looked around and pointed to a merry-go-round.

“Let’s ride that.”

“Okay.”

**

Diamond and Aurora sat on one horse while the others sat individually.

“I’m having so much fun.” The kid squealed hugging the bras-spole on the carousel.

Diamond took out her phone and started taking pictures of herself and Aurora.

“Diamond,” Zara who was behind them called out.

Diamond partly turned to face her and immediately Zara took a shot of her best friend.

She took several shots of Aurora and her nanny, and also Paige who was behind her.

They were all having so much fun aside from…

Lottie.

**

“Let’s go there,” Zara rushed to the log flume, jumping excitedly like a child who has been offered a candy bar.

The other followed. Aurora did not leave her nanny’s side.

**

“Oh, my God!” Paige giggled, raising her hands in the air.

Diamond, Paige, Zara, and Aurora entered one log flume while Lottie entered the one behind them with three other strangers.

“Smile,” Diamond said, positioning her phone to take a picture.

Zara smiled, Paige pouted, Aurora grinned and Diamond smiled, winking, and took the shot.

They snapped several pictures of themselves.

There was even one of the photos where Aurora ki-ssed her nanny on the cheek.

**

This time around they were riding bumper cars chosen by Paige.

“Attack!” Aurora screamed.

“Okay,” Diamond said and they both bumped their cars against Zara and Paige.

“Yay!” They giggled, victoriously.

“We can’t let them win,” Zara said to Paige. “Let’s attack.”

“I’m right behind you.”

They were riding toward Diamond and Aurora’s cars.

“Run.” Diamond said to the kid and they ride away, going in circles while Zara and Paige were on their tails.

Lottie was aimlessly riding her car, not having as much fun as the others.

HOSPITAL**

Felix, Rosa, and Daria entered the ward.

“Layla,” Felix called and rushed to her side. “You’re up.”

She looks at him. “Where is Diego?”

“You should be worried about yourself.” He gro-aned.

“Do you think I give a fuc-k about myself? Diego is not here with me and what, you want me to be okay with that?” She sat upright and was about to stand up.

“CAN YOU fuc-k ING LISTEN TO ME!?” He angrily yelled, frightening everyone in the room.

“Wha…what is wrong with you? Do you have to yell like that?” She stuttered, sitting down on the bed.

“This isn’t only about you or Diego. Another life is involved now.” He said.

Layla frowned, looking very confused. “What are you talking about?”

He hesitated. “You are pregnant, Layla, that’s what I’m talking about.”

“What?”

MIKHAIL’S OFFICE**

“What is the connection…?” He murmured, staring at the picture of his late wife and his daughter’s nanny.

“What am I missing?” He asked himself, having a de-ep scowl on his face.

His phone started ringing, interrupting his thoughts.

He snatched it from the desk and stared at the caller ID, the scowl on his face de-epened as he answered the call.

“What?”

“Hey, you don’t sound too happy to see my call.”

“We have nothing to talk about, Gregory.”

“Oh, we do have something to talk about. Why else would I call you, huh?”

“If this is about Octavius, don’t fuc-k ing start.”

“Oh well, good thing it is not about him.”

Mikhail stood up, stuffing his hands inside his pan-ts pocket, and went to stand in front of the window.

“What do you want?”

Gregory hesitated. “I heard a very interesting rumor, Ca-ssano.”

“Don’t tell me you called to tell me about the rumors you heard.” He snarled angrily.

“You should listen to what I have to say first. Who knows, the rumor might have something to do with you.”

“What do you mean?”

“Diamond Chase. Does that ring a bell?”

Mikhail’s blood stopped flowing and his heart started racing fast but he had no time to comprehend or understand the emotions as he was too focused on what Gregory just said.

“What did you just say?”

“Diamond Chase. You knew about her, why didn’t you tell me?”

“Who told you about her?”

“I told you there is nothing like secrets in the mafia world. Your business is my business. Now answer me, why didn’t you tell me about her?”

“I owe you no explanation, Gregory. And don’t you dare involve her in any of your stupid games with her stepfather.”

“Isn’t that what you are doing? Are you not using her to get revenge for the death of your wife?”

“GREGORY!” Mikhail snapped in anger. “Put your tongue in order or else I’m going to cut it off, I swear.”

Gregory audibly swallowed. “I want the girl.”

“What?”

“I told you I want to get my revenge against that bastard for what he did. He stole my shipment and now I’m going to use his daughter to recover them.”

“Keep her out of your business, can’t you hear?”

“Why are you suddenly possessive of her? Why do you care if I get her involved in my revenge plan?”

Mikhail did not say anything.

“Wait a minute, don’t tell me it is what I think it_”

The call got disconnected as Mikhail hung the call up without waiting for Gregory to finish his sentence.

“Oh, fuc-k . What is wrong with me?” He asked himself, moving his gaze to the nanny’s picture on the desk. “I think I’m going crazy. That is the only reasonable explanation for all this.” He ruffled his hair.

AMUSEMENT PARK**

Diamond held the ball close to her chest, and stared at the net, narrowing her eyes a little.

“You’ve got this.” Zara encouraged.

“Go, nanny!” Aurora stated.

Diamond aimed the ball high and throws it into the net. She went on and on and each ball that goes throu-ghthe net increased her points.

Some people around were likewise watching the game alongside Paige, Aurora, Zara, and Lottie.

By the time the game was over, Diamond was having 457 points.

“You won.” Paige and Zara screamed, clapping their hands.

Diamond fli-pped her hair to the back, feeling proud of herself.

“Congratulations.” A man said and handed her a pink fluffy bear.

“Thank you.” She collected it and gave it to Aurora.

“Yes, thank you, nanny.”The child grinned, hugging the bear tight.

“Want to play more games?” Zara asked.

“Oh, yeah!”

HOSPITAL**

Layla glanced at her stomach, a frown plastered on her face.

She shook her head in disagreement.

“This makes no sense. How am I pregnant?” She asked, staring at Felix.

“Uh, because Diego fuc-k ed you. Isn’t that a dumb question to ask?”

“How many weeks?”

“Three weeks.” He replied.

“Congratulations,” Rosa said from the doo, finally making her presence known.

Layla gazed at her whilst creasing her brows.

“Wait…I know you, right?”

“I’m Rosalie. And yes, you know me.”

“Rosalie…” Layla gasped. “You are the wh*re Felix…shit, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t call you that.”

“Well, it’s nice to meet you again.”

“I don’t think so. Look at me, I look like shit right now.” She sighed.

“Hey, don’t say that about yourself.” Rosa stepped forward. “You look beautiful to me.”

“Thank you. Rosalie, right?”

“Yeah.”

Layla’s eyes came upon Daria and a glare appeared on her face.

“What is she doing here?” She growled.

Daria fell to her knees. “I’m so sorry, ma. I have no excuse to give. I’m really sorry.”

“You know, I should hate you right now. I curse at you for ruining my marriage but I have no right to do so. It’s not your fault.” She paused. “However, you can’t keep working for me.”

“No, ma’am. Please, I’m sorry. I was wrong. Please don’t fire me. I beg you.” She whimpered.

“Get out, Daria.” Layla said in a calm tone, looking away.

“Ma’am…”

“I said get out. I don’t want to see your face, right now.” She snapped.

“Just go.” Felix told the maid.

She nodded and left the ward.

“How do you feel now?” Rosa asked Layla.

Layla lay back on the bed and let out a de-ep breath. “I don’t know. My emotions are…complicated. I feel sad about Diego. I feel angry about Daria. I feel excited about this wonderful news.” She rubbed her hands over her stomach. “They are a lot.”

“I get it.” Rosa smiled, sitting down beside her. “Sometimes I feel that way.”

“You seem to be fond of Felix,” Layla observed. “are both of you like an item?”

“Oh, no. Not at all.” Rosa said with a soft chuckle.

Felix felt a bit hurt hearing her say that but he did not say anything.

“I brou-ght apples.”

“Oh, really? You shouldn’t have. Anyway, thank you.”

“I will_” She stopped talking as she sighted an envelope on the table. “Whose is this?”

Felix and Layla stared at it.

“What is this?” Felix collected the envelope and opened it. “It’s a letter.”

“Let me see.” Layla snatched the letter from him and glance throu-ghit. “This is Diego’s handwriting.”

“Diego?”

AMUSEMENT PARK**

They played a lot of games, went for different rides, and took many pictures. They had so much fun. Well, aside from one person…

“Let’s go and get cotton candy,” Paige held the kid’s hand and led her to the wheel cart.

Diamond and Zara were walking after them from behind.

While Lottie was nowhere around.

“What did she tell you?” Zara asked after a moment of silence.

“Who?”

“You know who? That bit-ch , of course.”

“It’s complicated and complex.”

“How so?”

“Well, there’s something I haven’t told you and Ayden.”

“What is it?”

Diamond was about to talk when a tiny voice interrupted her.

“NANNY!” Aurora was running towards them, holding the pink fluffy bear in one hand while the cotton candy was in the other hand.

Diamond and Zara stood still and watched the little girl make her way towards them while Paige was still by the wheel cart getting more cotton candies for herself and the rest of the girls aside from Lottie.

Suddenly, there were screams, everybody was running out of the way for a horse that had let himself loose.

Aurora hasn’t gotten to her nanny when she heard the heavy footsteps of the animal. She stopped running and gaze ahead to see the horse approaching her at high speed.

Diamond’s eyes went wide as fear sparked throu-ghher.

“AURORA, GET OUT OF THE WAY!” She screamed but it was already too late…
