Valerie key episode 63 & 64

Tessa kept groaning, cussing and hissing as she dragged the big box into the small house.

“Geez, why it so small. I can’t stay here!” She complained, looking around the house with disgust clearly sitting in her eyes.

“Then don’t stay! You’re even lucky I let you get a roof on your head after everything you did! I still can’t believe you had no savings on your own! So shut up and stop complaining!” June lashed at her, glaring daggers.

“Don’t you talk to me like that! I’m your mother remember!”

“Mom my foot! I still don’t know why I’m holding back from disowning you!” She shouted yelled at her, walking further into the house.

The house was really small. It was just a bedroom and living room with a small kitchen.

“That spoilt brat!” Tessa groaned as she watched June left her sight. She rolled her eyes and she gasped on seeing the cobwebs on the wall.

“What the heck!!” She shouted.

She suddenly heard a creaking sound and she turned to it. Her eyes widened when she saw a lizard ran out of a hole in the house and ran past her.

“Arrghhh!!” She screamed falling on her butt. June rushed out of the room she was in as a result of her shout.

“What’s wrong??” June asked and Tessa turned to her, panting heavily.

“June, let’s get out of here. I don’t think I can share home with animals. I just saw a arggh!!” She screamed as she saw another gecko.

June shook her head on frustration, before going back into the room.

“June! Where the hell are you going? Come back here!!” Tessa screamed following but June slammed the door on her face.

“Aish!” She exhaled tiredly.

What sort of family was she born into?? Her sister has been arrested for murder, and her dad same thing. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. His verdict was actually before Evie’s.

Now she was left with only her mom. And it turns out as the Sanchéz took over all their possession, they lost everything… They had nothing left with them, thank God to her savings. She couldn’t believe her mom had no penny with her.

Derek wanted her to stay with them, but she couldn’t leave her mom alone, in as much she was mad at her. She was the only family she had left, so she had to come with her.

Her phone suddenly rang and she picked it up. She smiled upon seeing the caller.

Fawn.

She answered the call immediately.

“Hey.” She said.

“I’m outside.” Fawn said and she immediately rushed to window to see him. He waved at her with a smile.

She giggled and rushed in, then she checked herself on the mirror before rushing out.

“Hey! June! Where are you going? Come back here!!!” Her mom shouted behind her.

“Fawn!” June squealed excitedly as she got outside, and Fawn smiled at her.

Actually, Fawn was the one who helped her in looking for this apartment for them.

“You seem super excited. I was expecting you to be sad, moving to a small house.” He said and she chuckled.

“I don’t know why I’m not sad about the whole situation.” She simply said and Fawn chuckled.

“Done arranging your things?” Fawn asked and she shook her head.

“The old lady will do it.” She said and began walking, Fawn laughed following her behind.

It was slowly getting to twilight.

“Doctor!” Leroy screamed, rushing to the doctor immediately he walked out of the ward.

“How’s my wife??” He asked and the doctor smiled.

“She’s fine now. It’s just the morning sickness, due to her condition.” He replied and Leroy exhaled in relief.

He suddenly narrowed his eyes, as if he just finished processing what the doctor said.

“Condition?? What condition are you talking about doctor?” He asked and the doctor smiled.

“Mr Hewitt, your wife is currently three weeks pregnant.” The doctor announced and Leroy’s eyes gleamed with excitement.

“What?!” He asked, to be sure he heard well and the doctor including the nurses with him nodded with a smile.

“Yes.” The doctor said and Leroy stared at him with widened eyes not knowing what to say and how to react.

Alecia was pregnant?? He was gonna become a father soon!

“Yesss!!!!” He squealed in excitement, hugging the doctor immediately and the doctor laughed.

“I’m gonna be a father! I’m gonna be a father!! Ahh!!” He squealed, patting the doctor’s back as he hugged him.

His happiness knew no bounds right now.

The nurses and few people around, smiled watching the scene.

Leroy broke the hug and asked with his full smile.

“Can… Can I see her now?” He inquired and the doctor nodded.

“Sure.” He smiled.

“Thank you so much doctor. Ah! I’m gonna be a father! Whoa!” He said as he walked into Alecia’s ward.

She was sleeping peacefully, her curly baby like lashes hugged firmly on each other and he could hear her soft breath as he say beside her.

He smiled, gently removing a strand of hair from her face, as he watched her. His fingers slowly moved to her cheek, which he caressed softly.

It had become a little bit chubby, how come he was just realizing?

He chortled, taking his hand to her flat stomach, he couldn’t believe a small being was in there. His own seed.

He slowly bent and placed a kiss on her stomach, then he placed his ears on it and Alecia’s eyes opened.

“Leroy…” She called and he raised his head.

“Hey.” He called with a smile which Alecia returned.

She made to sit up and Leroy rushed to help her.

“Careful please. You shouldn’t stress yourself.” He said and Alecia chuckled.

“C’mon Leroy, I’m fine now.” She said and Leroy smiled.

“Thank you.” He suddenly said and Alecia chuckled.

“What for??” She asked and he smiled and touched her stomach.

“Thank you for placing a responsibility on me. I’m gonna be a father.” He announced and Alecia gasped.

“Really?” She asked and Leroy nodded.

“Yes!” Leroy said and she blinked.

“Wait, are you pulling my legs?” She asked and Leroy shook his head.

“I’m dead serious. The doctor said it, we’re gonna be parents soon.” He said hugging her and she smiled.

“I love you Leroy.” She said.

“I love you too Lecia.” He said, breaking the hug and then he placed a soft kiss on her lips.

“Can you tell me already what this surprise is Jeffrey??” Valerie asked as Jeffrey led her with a blindfold in her eyes.

“Keep cool, we’re almost there.” Jeffrey said and she sighed.

Jeffrey exhaled, looking at the house. Just then, Fawn walked out of it.

They communicated with their eyes before, Jeffrey helped her in with Fawn following behind.

They got into the house where Albert and Aurora were already seated, waiting for them and immediately they saw them, they stood up.

“Madison.” Aurora mumbled to her hearing alone.

Valerie played with her fingers as she waited for Jeffrey to say something, or remove her blindfold as they weren’t walking anymore.

“Jeffrey…” She called when he wasn’t saying anything and Jeffrey looked at her parents before looking back at her.

“Yes Madi.” He replied and she immediately took off the blindfold off her eyes when she sensed he was far away from her.

Her eyes widened on seeing the least people she expected.

Her parents!

“Madison.” Her mom called, and Valerie clenched her jaws, her veins popping red on seeing them. Her eyes went to Fawn, then to Jeffrey who was standing beside her parents.

How could he bring her here, knowing how much she despises their presence!

Without saying a word, she turned around and began leaving.

“Madi!” Jeffrey rushed to her and held her hand.

“Let go of me Jeffrey!” She yanked her hand off his.

“How dare you bring me here? You know fully well how much I resent this people, still…” She sighed when she couldn’t speak again and her a heavy lump formed on throat. She just let the tears roll down her eyes.

“I understand Madi, they wronged you. I also did, but if you could forgive me Madison, you should also do the same to them. They’re your parents and trust me when I say they’re remorseful of all what they did.” Jeffrey said and she just cried, shaking her head.

The betrayal was something she can never forget. How can her own parents just turn their backs on her like that?? They didn’t even care whether she died or not all because they were a reputable family, they couldn’t let her ruin their public image, but where was that image now??

They were no longer held at high status again, they were no longer that perfect family people looked up to again. They lost that privilege due to her scandal.

Hmph!

She was sure the only reason they were remorseful, if only they truly were was because she was now successful, nothing more.

“My child, please forgive mommy.” Aurora cried.

“I agree with him Madi, they’re our parents after all.” Fawn said.

“Madison… I know no matter what I say would make you change your mind. In fact, I don’t deserve your forgiveness at all, but still I’ll have to properly apologize. You can decide never to forgive me, I won’t hold any grudges against you. You have every right to be mad at us, but please my child… I’m truly sorry for how I treated you. I don’t know what came over me. How could I have chosen my public image over my own daughter??” He asked rhetorically, while Valerie only sobbed.

“Please Madison, we’re sorry. Forgive us.” Aurora pleaded, she was even scared of going close to her.

“Please Madi…” Fawn said.

“Madi, do it for Alex’s sake. Please.” Jeffrey said and she broke down in full tears.

“Even with what you two did to me,. I still missed you guys. Somewhere in my heart, I’ve always wished for this day to come, and I’ve always wondered what I’d do when the day finally arrives, and here it is today. Honestly, it was had trying not to hate you guys after you all did, but I guess blood is indeed thicker than water. I forgive you mom and dad.” She said and they smiled.

“Ah! Thank you my child!” Aurora screamed, engulfing her in a warm embrace.

Madison smiled, melting herself in her arms. She missed this motherly hug.

Albert walked forward with a smile.

“Thank you my princess.” He said and Madison opened an arm, and he joined the hug.

Fawn rushed and join the hug as well and they chuckled.

Jeffrey smiled watching them.

Jeffrey, Valerie and Alex still lived in that Evie’s mansion. They’ve taken ownership of it. Jeffrey finally divorced Evie. He had her sign the divorce paper the very day she was convicted.

So right now, what everyone was waiting for was for him to propose to Valerie, (that’s if he truly loves her as he claims coz ashewo dey that guy eye 🌝).

Clacking of shoes on the stairs and indistinct chatters could be heard as Jeffrey, Valerie and Alex descending the stairs with the maid carrying their luggages.

They were dressed as tho they were going on an outing or a vacation precisely.

“Mom, we’ll visit the Tower of Paris.” Alex said smiling.

Yes, they actually told Alex to start addressing Valerie as mom, and it didn’t take him time to adapt to it, coz he had already been wishing she was his mom.

“Sure baby. We’ll do that.” Valerie said, touching his cheek and chuckled.

“I love you mom!” He screamed and Valerie smiled.

“I love you too baby.” She said and Jeffrey cleared his throat.

“What about me??” He said and Alex smiled.

“I love you too dad. But I love mom more.” He giggled and Jeffrey rolled his eyes, hissing.

The two laughed.

Anamika suddenly walked down the stairs with her luggages as well.

“Aunty! Where are you going?? Don’t tell me you’re coming with us??” Alex said, and Anamika smirked.

“So what if I am?” She asked.

“Nooo!!!!” Alex feigned a cry and they laughed.

“Seriously, I thought I’m your best friend.” Anamika said and Alex folded his arms.

“Not up to the level of coming with us on a family vacation.” He said, quoting the ‘family vacation’ with two fingers.

They laughed.

“It’s alright Alex. Anamika isn’t coming with us.” Valerie said and Alex squealed.

“Yes!!!” Alex squealed running out of the house.

“You’re leaving now??” Valerie asked and Anamika nodded.

“Yes. My work here is done. I’m happy you two let love win. You two are the best couples I’ve ever seen my whole 40 years of existence. Despite everything, you both did come back. Wow, you’re my couple goals. I wish you all continue living with this love, and let it grow bigger and bigger.” Anamika said and they smiled.

“Thanks.” They both said.

“Don’t thank me, give Alex a sibling. I want to be a godmother.” She winked and they laughed.

“Aunt stop it.” Valerie said shyly.

“Don’t worry ma’am we’ll working on that.” Jeffrey winked and Valerie hit his shoulder playfully.

“Oh my, 8:23! Our flight is by 9am.” Jeffrey said.

“Me too.” Anamika said.

“Alright, let’s go.” Valerie said and they began walking out of the house, with Anamika in between the two couples.

Jeffrey stylishly, left the path he was walking to Valerie’s side, then he held her hand and smiled, looking at her.

Valerie looked back at him, pressing her hand tightly on his as they walked away.

Anamika smiled, shaking her head.
