Fawn blinked as she hugged him, was he dreaming??
She’s Valerie Keys if he’s not mistaken, then why on earth was she hugging him.
“I finally met you.” She muttered, still hugging him and Fawn furrowed his brows slightly.
“Do… You know me?” He asked.
Valerie suddenly broke the hug and smiled.
“I’m sorry, you just look like someone I knew, so I kinda mistook you for him…” She said,
“Oh… That’s the first.” He said and Valerie nodded.
“What are you guys doing here by the way?” June chipped in.
“We just came out to have fun.” Valerie said and they smiled.
“So as we’re here, why don’t we go to a nearby restaurant?” June asked and they exchanged glances.
“Not a bad idea.”
The four seated on a table, as the waiter set their dish for them.
“Enjoy.” He said before walking away.
It was rice and salad, with beef and scallop eggs.
“Whoa!, Scallops my favorite!” Leo grinned picking up his cutleries and Valerie smiled before dishing out for him.
She served herself as well.
“Wow, this is good.” June exclaimed, and Leo nodded.
“Right teddy?” She smiled.
Fawn ate silently, watching them most especially Valerie.
She had a striking familiar qualities. He was a very observant guy so it was very easy to spot a weird characteristics someone has, that was why it was very easy for him to discover that, tapping her legs and fingers on the table was a distinguishing feature Valerie exhibited.
And strangely, it collided with the same qualities Madison posses.
She loves tapping her fingers on the table whenever she was eating, and she made sure it collided with the tappings of her leg.
He also noticed Valerie wasn’t eating the scallop eggs and so he had to ask.
“Care for some scallop egg?” He asked and Valerie looked up at him.
“Ermm…” She chuckled slightly.
“I don’t eat scallops.” She said and Fawn looked at her.
“I’m allergic to it.” She added curling her lips and Fawn only nodded.
Weird! He thought inwardly.
Was it okay for two persons to possess the same inward and outward characteristics??
He wondered.
“Bye Teddy!!” Leo waved as June walked to her car with Fawn.
Valerie watched the two of them.
How does he know June? And they seem pretty close. What’s going on between them?? She wondered.
She’d ask June.

Valerie walked hand in hand into the house with Leo. The both smiling happily.
“Whoa!, Whoa, look who we have here.” Anamika squealed, opening her arms and Leo ran to her.
“Aunty!!” He exclaimed and Valerie furrowed her brows.
“When did this two become this close?” She wondered.
“Welcome miss.” Jane greeted her and she only nodded.
“So how was your day?” Anamika asked, carrying him upstairs.
“It was lot of fun!!!” He replied.
“You go freshen up and come downstairs for dinner.” Jane said and she shook her head.
“I already ate outside.” She said and Jane nodded.
“Where’s Jeffrey??” She asked.
“He hasn’t returned ma’am.” Jane replied and she nodded before walking upstairs.
Jane watched her leave completely.
Valerie exhaled heavily collapsing on the bed. She was excited she got to meet Fawn today and also talked to him.
She also gave him some hints, he might assume she was Madison. She wanted to tell him but she couldn’t bring herself to tell him.
Maybe after she exert her revenge, she was gonna tell him who she was.
Talking of revenge, she hasn’t heard from Evie. She said she was gonna return on Saturday and this is Tuesday.
She brought out her phone, and dialed her number but it wasn’t connecting.
“That’s weird.” She muttered and dropped her phone before going into the bathroom to freshen up.
A while later, Valerie was already dressed in her nighties, which was a sleeveless gown.
She checked herself on the mirror, only the glimpse of the mark on her back could be seen so she simply shrugged it off.
She didn’t feel the need to cover the mark today, so she just walked out of the room like that, grabbing her phone on the bed, on her way out.
She got to the kitchen and got the bottle of vodka she needed, before heading back to her room.
Jeffrey who was on his way downstairs, bumped into her on his way and she was about falling but he caught her in his arms.
Only the drink came crashing to the ground.
Valerie breath heavily, closing her eyes. She slowly opened it and she gulped down.
He was staring into her eyes.
She immediately pushed him off, and stood on her feet, hastily walking past him.
“Will you keep avoiding me?? I only have one question to ask.” He asked and Valerie stopped walking.
The two now had their back on each other.
When she didn’t say anything, he had to ask.
“Do you think… It was my fault??” He asked, turning to her.
Valerie breathe heavily and her back rose and fell, making her go down a little bit and the birthmark came into view.
Jeffrey’s eyes widened when he saw the familiar birthmark on her back. He could never forget it, anywhere, nowhere.
Only one person had it, Madison…
Jeffrey slowly walked towards her, his eyes remained on the mark till he got to her. It was clear, it was the same mark. The exact same mark, on the same place.
If she had the same mark as her back and on the same place, it only meant she was–
Madison!!
His eyes narrowed.
Valerie sighed and turned to him.
“What do–”
She gasped seeing how close he was to her.
“Madison??” He called and her eyes widened.
“It’s you… Madison.” He said and Valerie curled her lips speechlessly.
She was bursted, no need defending herself so she just kept kept quiet.
Jeffrey sighed, covering his mouth with his palms, staggering backwards while nodding his head slowly.
He was completely shocked.
It was really her.
Without saying another word, he turned around and left for his room.
Valerie sighed.
“He found out after all.”

Giovanni was going through a file, while sitting on his bed. He brows knitted, and he started looking for a document among the file.
“Maybe it’s in the shelf.”
He said and walked to it.
Tessa walked into the room, just them with a cup of coffee in her hand, smiling widely.
“Coffee.” She said, dropping it on the table.
“What do you want?” Giovanni asked as he brought out a file.
He knew Tessa too well, whenever she was acting all wifey, then she was surely up to something.
“C’mon, do you always have to spoil the fun?” She asked, walking to him
He was going through the file in his hand, when an envelope fell from it. He was about picking but Tessa beats him to it.
“What’s this?” Tessa asked, looking at the envelope.
“I don’t- wait, let me have it!” He said almost immediately, and made to grab the envelope from Tessa’s hand but she took it away from his reach.
“What’s in it? Are you hiding something from me??” She inquired and he sighed.
“I’m hiding nothing from you Tessa, now give it to me.” He said stretching out his hand.
“No, I want to see the content.” Tessa said stubbornly, ripping the letter of the envelope.
She opened it and began reading it…
“What!!!”
She screamed when she was done reading the content of the letter.
“I told you not to read it.” Giovanni rolled his eyes, and continued going through the files he was with.
“De-de… Rek?” She stuttered and Giovanni only shrugged.
“How come of this? I thought he was deàd? How come he’s alive??” Tessa asked.
“I’m confused as well. I remember doing away with his corpse. How he’s alive is what I don’t know.” Giovanni said and Tessa slapped her forehead, pacing to and fro.
“This can’t be happening Giovanni, if Derek is alive… It means… It’s means… We’re done forever! We’re doom! We’ll lose it all, everything… No!” Tessa said, as she kept on pacing about.
“I won’t allow that to happen. I’ve worked for years to bring Zhang’s conglomerate to what it is today. I won’t give it away no matter what. Never!!” He said vehemently, staring at nothing.

Valerie sighed as she walked past his closed door. He hasn’t stepped out of his room since the incident.
She doesn’t know why she was feeling guilty, rather than scared and angry that he found out who she was.
She stopped walking and sighed for the umpteenth time that day. She turned to his door and began walking to it.
She placed a knock on it before turning the knob. The door wasn’t locked, so it opened at once.
Her gaze met with his back view the moment she stepped in.
He was standing by the window, looking outside. She exhaled before walking to him.
She quietly stood beside him, staring outside as well.
“Why are you here?” He asked calmly and she sighed.
“To see you.” She said.
“I think we should remain the way we were. Let’s continue with the silent treatment.” He said and began walking away.
“Theo let’s talk!” She ordered and Jeffrey stopped on his track.
He turned to her and shook his head with a smile.
“No, let’s not talk. You avoiding me for days, you clearly had your reasons. I offended you big time Madison and I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness and I’m sorry. I’ll keep apologizing to you everyday of my life. I think it’s best we stay this way.” He said, nodding his head and made to walk away.
“Theo!” She called, running to him and then she hugged him tightly from behind.
Jeffrey stood shaken in her arms.
“It wasn’t your fault Theo, I’m sorry for all the silent treatment. I was confused, I didn’t know what to do. I think destiny wants us to be, that’s why I didn’t díe when I fell off that cliff.” She cried on his back.
“It’s all my fault Madison. I can’t even look at you. Let go.” She shook her head, coming to his front and he looked away.
“No, it wasn’t your fault. Look at me.” She said, holding his cheek
Jeffrey blinked his teary eyes, looking everywhere but not her.
“It wasn’t your fault Theo. We’re both victim, we just have to work together to achieve a common goal. You still love me, and I also still love you. I always blame myself for not hating, but then, we can’t stop the heart from beating for who it wants to beat for. I’m tired of pretending. I love you as well Theo!” She confessed but Jeffrey shook his head.
“No… I don’t deserve you.” He muttered and she shook her head before hugging him.
“I love you Theo! I love you.” She muttered and Jeffrey just cried on her shoulders.
They broke the hug shortly and Jeffrey held her two hands, rubbing his thumbs on it while he stared down at it.
“I’m sorry Madison. Believe when I say I tried, I’m sor–” She cut him off with a kiss surprising him.
She broke the kiss shortly.
“It wasn’t your fault Theo. I guess that’s just how our destiny was meant to be.” She said and Jeffrey looked at her, then he slammed his lips on hers, kissing her right there and then.
Valerie smiled reciprocating immediately.
Gosh!, How much she missed his lips. 🙄
All this while, someone was actually standing by the door, watching them.
