“Youre awake Miss Williams” Ricardo said, coming from the bathroom. He was alre-ady dressed in his suit..
Valentina gulped down and mumbled a short prayer before turning to face him.
“Good…morning boss” She greeted while looking down.
“Thanks, how are you feeling now?” Ricardo asked, packing his things in his suitcase.
“Better… I appreciate you helping me out yesterday and I’m sorry for the embarras-sment I caused you yesterday” Valentina pouted.
“What happened that you drank that much.” Ricardo asked. It was so unlike her you drink like that.
Valentina looked down as sadness clouded her eyes. Even Ricardo was surprised to see her that way.
“It’s okay if it’s too…”
“I broke up with my b©yfri£nd…in the most heartbreaking way. He cheated on me” Valentina blurted out.
“Oh…sorry” Ricardo said.
Thanks was followed by a moment of silence. Ricardo turned to leave but halted.
“If this can console you, my ex wife took all my money and abandoned me with two kids to raise on my own” Ricardo said without turning back.
Valentina looked up at him, he must have gone throu-gh a lot.
“I’m leaving now and considering the fact that you were at your weakest, I’ll give you 40 minutes to go back home, bath, dress and come to work” Ricardo said and left.
Valentina spranged uo from his be-d. She searched for where her shoes could be and sp©tted it. She wore it and picked up her purse then dashed out of his room.
Myles who was coming out of his room, saw Valentina run downstairs as a very fast speed that he couldn’t see her face.
“Who’s she?” He wondered.
“Myles…! Let’s go! Dad is waiting for us!!” Minnie called for him.
“Coming!” He said and went his way…
Valentina rushed out of his house and hailed a cab. She entered the cab and couldn’t help but notice the look the driver gave her.
She told the driver her destination and he took off. It took her about 5 minutes to get home.
“Thanks, you can keep the change” She said and went in the house.
“Morning mom!” Valentina greeted while rushing upstairs.
“Goodness Tina!! Where were you last night!! Iris have been calling your phone but you weren’t picking!” Peggy said worriedly..
“I’ll explain everything to you once I get back home.” Valentina entered her room.
She took a quic-k bath while brushing her teeth. Once she was done, she put on a yellow flowery go-wn leaving her hair free.
She wore one of the new shoes she bought and rushed out of her room heading outside.
The pas-serby kept giving her a strange look while whispering to themselves. Valentina hailed a cab which drove her to Thornton Investment.
She paid the drive and c@m£ out then rushed inside. Even the workers there weren’t exempted for they were giving her strange looks.
Valentina got out of the elevator and rushed to her seat. She looked at the time and it was exactly 40 minutes gone.
“Miss Williams” Ricardo called.
Valentina stood up and went in.
“Yes boss?” She said.
Ricardo stretch the invitation card to her. She took it and re-ad it then smiled.
“This collaboration will be a great boost to your company” Valentina smiled.
“Yeah, we’ll be traveling to Paris in three days for this. When I say we I mean you and I do get re-ady” Ricardo said.
“Really?” Valentina exclaimed happily.
She’s always wanted to go to Paris. She heard that it was a town for the lovers so it has always been her dream to go with Ryan.
A sigh escaped herl-ips when she thought of him. Forgetting will take a lot of time but she’s determined to do that. Maybe the trip will help her a little.
“Also, I want you to look for a competent and trust worthy nanny who’ll take care of my kids while I’m away” Ricardo said.
Valentina nodded when suddenly an idea hit her…
“I can be the nanny sir” Valentina said.
“What do you mean? You’re going with me, how can you be their nanny?” Ricardo furrowed his brows.
“Well how about we take them with us. I’m sure you’re feeling insecure to leave them here.. What if you take them along with us. I’m sure it’s not all the time that you’ll nee-d me so I can babysit them.” Valentina smiled.
Ricardo tapped the pen he was holding on hisl-ips.
“That is a good idea.” Ricardo muttered.
“Yes sir it is. But I’ll do that un-der one condition. You give back the 20% discount you did on my salary.” Valentina said.
Ricardo looked at her then sm-irked..
“Was just teasing you. I never took anything from you” Ricardo said.
“Okay, thanks boss” Valentina smiled.
“I’ll still pay you as a nanny if you accept” Ricardo said.
“Deal!” Valentina said.
“Here, hand it to the cashier” Ricardo gave her a file which she collected
“Don’t you see life is beautiful when we don’t argue” Valentina said while walking out of the office.
Ricardo simply chuckled and shook his head. This his Secretary sure has crazy vibes that can cheer any one up.
On her way to the cashier office, two kids suddenly ran pas-s Valentina pushing her in the process.
Valentina looked back…
“It must be the boss’s kids. Now that I remember that today is take your kids to work day.” Valentina thought and continued her way…

“Daddy!!” Minnie exclaimed as she rushed in his office. They both went to get some drinks for themselves.
“My two candies” Ricardo smiled.
They both sat down on his l@p, looking at what he was doing. Ricardo continued typing on his l@pt©p.
“What does this bu-tton does?” Myles made to press a bu-tton but Ricardo held his hand.
“Don’t t©uçh champion” Ricardo smiled..
Minnie got down his l@ps and went to some files he placed at a corner then began ruffling throu-gh it.
“No Minnie, don’t t©uçh those it’s important.” Ricardo said.
“Dad I want to press the bu-tton” Myles pouted.
They kept disturbing, trying to learn new things. Suddenly, the door swung open and Valentina walked.
“Here’s the files. The cashier alre-ady signed it so it’s re-ady for use” Valentina said and furrowed her brows when she saw two kids roaming around.
“Okay, i nee-d you keep an eyes on my kids while I finish with this work at hand.”
Ricardo said and Valentina nodded.
“Okay, Myles…Minnie plea-se follow her she’ll keep you company for the meanwhile” Ricardo said.
Myles and Minnie walked out, following Valentina behind.
They both sat down on a chair just beside Valentina office. Myles looked at her with a quite suspicious yet interested look…
“I think I’ve seen her somewhere” Myles thought.
Minnie on the other hand was admiring Valentina. From her hair, to her pretty face and skin…
“I wish i could be as pretty as her” Minnie smiled.
“Miss are you single?” Minnie asked. Valentina looked at her and nodded awkwardly. What kind of a kid asks such questions?
“Do you find my dad handsome?” Minnie asked.
“Uhm… He’s my boss” Valentina replied and concentrated on her work.
“That’s it… I’m bored” Myles pouted and stood from her seat. She went un-der Valentina table.
Valentina who was typing, was met with a shocking surprise when the computer suddenly turned off..
“Oh no!! The resume!” Valentina g@sped.
Myles c@m£ out holding a wire in his hands.
“Here Minnie we can pl@yjumpy jumper with this” Myles smiled.
Valentina pinched his brows when he saw he was the one that disconnected it.
“Give it to me…” Valentina said while smiling.
Myles shook his head stubbornly…
“I nee-d to work with it” Valentina said but yet, Myles was still too adamant..
“That’s it!!” Valentina hit her hand on the table.
“Give it to me now!! Or else I’ll take it by f0rç£ and sp@ñk you with it first” Valentina said, giving him an intimid@t!nglook.
Myles swallowed ha-rd and quic-kly gave it to her. She sm-irked…
“Now sit” Valentina said.
“I don’t want to-”
“I said sit my friend!!!” Valentina snapped.
Myles pouted and sat down while frowning. Valentina connected it back and sat up on her computer.
In her nanny life, she’s got to babysit very stubborn kids. Kids who were more stubborn than Myles… So she knows how to handle them.
“Not only she’s so pretty but she’s also authoritative. I love her personality!! Wanna be like her!!” Minnie gushed inwardly.

Ricardo walked out of his office and was surprised to see his kids, especially Myles well behaved and calm.
“Dad!!” Myles rushed to Ricardo and pouted.
“Dad…the mean and ugly secretary yelled at me” Myles pouted pu-lling Ricardo’s suit.
“And I’ll not only yell at you but I’ll sp@ñk you if you misbehave” Valentina said while typing.
“Dad, don’t fire her. Myles was the stubborn one here” Minnie said.
“What? Since when do you take her side” Myles frowned
“Alright you two, its alright. Myles, Minnie I’ll use this time to inform you that in the next two days we’ll be traveling to Paris.” Ricardo said.
“Yay!! We’ll see ladybug and cat noire!! Yay!!!” Minnie and Myles jumped happily…
“Lady what?” Valentina said inwardly.
“Also I hired a nanny for you. Myles, Minnie here’s your nanny Miss Williams” Ricardo gestured at Valentina.
“You can call me Valentina” She smiled.
“Her?! No way!!” Myles frowned.
“Your dad didn’t ask you a question, he informed you that I’m your nanny. Whether you like it or not, I’ll be your nanny. If you don’t want me to be you can stay back here in new York I don’t care” Valentina said and stood up.
“Woah!!” Minnie exclaimed.
Valentina printed out the do¢v-ments and kept it in a file the handed it to Ricardo.
“Here’s the résumé your son deleted” Valentina said.
Ricardo took it and went throu-gh it. He signed it and gave it back to her.
“Minnie, come let’s go. I’m taking you two out for lunch” Ricardo smiled.
Minnie pouted. She really wanted to stay with Valentina.
“Dad, can nanny Tina come with us?” Minnie asked.
Ricardo looked at Valentina, waiting for her answer.
“Oh well…I’m not that hungry you know” Valentina scratched her head.
“Come on… plea-se??” Minnie cl@pped her two hands together and did cute faces to Valentina.
“Well,,, okay” Valentina sighed.
Minnie smiled, her cuteness never fails!
Valentina picked up her phone and made to put it in her purse when something caught her eyes on her phone.
She g@sped and quic-kly cli-cked on it. Her mouth was now hanging open by what she saw.
Somehow someone took a picture of when she k!$$£d Ricardo last night and now it’s trending on the news.
She stylishly looked at Ricardo and then at her phone..
“Oh, so it’s now that you see that news?” Ricardo said, judging from her look.
“He knows?” Valentina said inwardly…
She slowly nodded and looked down in guilt
“I’m sorry boss. I got you implicated in some stupid rumor” Valentina said.
“It will die down in few days, nothing to worry about.” Ricardo held the kid’s hands and went away.
Valentina looked at her phone and sighed. No wonder the people were all looking at her strangely.
She kept her phone and followed behind them.

TWILIGHT HIGH**
“So if I got it all, you live with your mom and your sister” Luca asked, helping iris to carry her books to her locker.
“Yeah, out family may not be the riche-st but I love it that way. I just hope Valentina makes it in life… Then me too!” Iris smiled.
“You will, I’m certain of that.” Luca reokid.
“Speaking of ma-king it in life, do you know a bar or a restaurant were I can do some p@rt time jobs there?” Iris asked.
“Well yeah! But I doubt you’ll want to go there… It’s owned by the president” Luca said.
“You mean Gavin’s dad? Yuck!!… Well guess I’ll have to persevere. I’m doing this for my family” Iris smiled.
“I don’t un-derstand why you two hate each other. Gavin is a cool guy, he just love authority.” Luca said.
“Meaning he’s proud and arrogant and rude and I hate guys like them” Iris frowned, remembering Xander.
They got to her locket and Luca handed her her books..
“Thanks Luca, you’re an angel” Iris pe-cked his cheek and began packing her books in her locker.
Luca t©uçhed his cheek and blu-shed. He smiled and walked away.
The locker next to iris suddenly was slammed close, so loudly that it startled Iris.
Iris looked at the person to see it was no one but Gavin.
“Miss ugly face” Gavin sm-irked, looking down at her.
“Mr stupidson” Iris frowned
“Are you re-ady for your payback?” Gavin sm-irked and walked away.
“Now his locker is beside mine. fv¢k!!!” Iris hit his locker severally and hissed.

“Here, open up baby girl…”Valentina said and fed Minnie with the ice cream they were eating.
Minnie smiled happily, Myles was busy watching them with a frown on his face.
“I want her to feed me too.” Myles mumbled and frowned…
Valentina heard that and sm-irked, she scooped a spoonful of his ice cream and stretched it to him.
“Here, eat up!” Valentina said.
Myles looked at her and slowly opened his mouth then she fed her.
“I’m sweet and kind, so long as you don’t get on my bad book. So are we good now?” Valentina smiled.
Myles blobbe-d his head up and down. She also fed him some spoons before resuming in eating his…
Ricardo was busy eating his own ice cream, minding his business. The kids aren’t troubling him so he nee-ds to enjoy abit.
“Uhm Sir…” Valentina called.
Ricardo looked up at her. She hesitated for a while before bringing a tissue to Ricardo’s face.
Before he knew it, she was alre-ady wiping off the ice cream that was at the corner of hisl-ips.
Ricardo stared at her for a while and suddenly had a flashback. He once c@m£ to this restaurant with Evelyn and she also helped in wiping off the ice cream on hisl-ips.
Ricardo frowned and stylishly pushed her hand away. He looked back down at his ice cream. Now he has lost the appetite…
“Thanks” He muttered.
Valentina nodded and continued her desert…
All throu-gh, Ricardo was all sad and grumpy…

TWILIGHT HIGH**
“And over…” Their sports teacher said.
They all st©pped pla-ying soccer and turned to their coach.
“So on Monday, we’ll be pla-ying basketball and volleyball. Basketball for the boys and volleyball for the girls” Their coach said.
“Okay Sir” They chorused and began leaving.
Iris picked up her towel and began wiping off the sweat on her, heading to her closet.
She re-moved her dress and went to the lady’s bathroom to take a quic-k bath. Once she was done, she went to take her dress from the closet when…
“Where’s my uniform?” Iris wondered.
She turned and looked around but couldn’t see it. A note was stuck on her closet…
“Come to the basketball field if you want it” She re-ad it and folded it with anger. No one nee-ds to tell her that it’s…
“Gavin!” She snarled and marched to the door.
She peeked out of the closet to see if no one was pas-sing by before rushing to the basketball room since she was only I her towel.
She reached there and saw Gavin sitting on the stairs there, sm-irking at her.
“I knew it, not only you’re ugly but you look like amoeba…shapeless” Gavin sm-irked and stood up.
“Where’s my uniform?” Iris frowned.
Gavin pointed behind her. She looked back to see her uniform hanging on the pole.
“Get it if you can” Gavin sm-irked and stood up then walked away.
“I’ll get back at you?! Gavin!!” Iris yelled and rushed after him but he alre-ady left.
She walked back and looked at the pole which was so high.
“How do they do to dunk this high?” Iris wondered…
She began jumping and jumping to get her uniforms but couldn’t reach it. She sat down and began calculating on how to get her uniform and also on which stick to use to finish Iris.

THORNTON INVESTMENT**
Ricardo and the other went back to the company. They all went in with Myles and Minnie discussing. Ricardo and Valentina were walking behind him with no one talking to each other.
“I’m in my office, inform me on any upd@t£s” Ricardo said and made to go in.
“Boss?” Valentina blurted out.
Ricardo paused without looking back.
“Anything wrong sir?” Valentina asked. She couldn’t help but notice he’s been so cold and distant.
“Nothing…” Ricardo went in with the kids.
Valentina shrugged and sat down then brou-ght her phone. She began scrolling throu-gh her pictures, smiling at the different pictures she took with her family and friends.
Her face suddenly changed when she saw her ph0to with Ryan. The images of what she saw last night began resurfacing and that breaks her more.
Despite the smile she holds on her face, de-ep down she’s de-eply hurt…
“Is Ricardo here?” A lady spoke.
Valentina rolled her eyes thinking that it was Fiona but was surprised when she looked up.
“Tina?!” They chorused…
