EPISODE 29
THE GILBERT RESIDENT
Later that evening Jasmine came back from her friend’s place… it was bunny and her daddy that came to drop her off… they were in a hurry so they didn’t stop go say hi to king.
Jasmine wondered why her daddy didn’t call her since morning to check up on her… she dropped her bag on her bed and ran to her Father’s room but to her surprise her father was not in his room.
She decided to check Camila’s room, she wasn’t expecting her dad there, she just wanted to ask her about her father and her health..
Jasmine slowly left the room without making a noise when she saw her daddy sleeping beside Camila… she went back to her room to watch some movies.
Later king woke up and remembered he hadn’t called his daughter all day, he felt like a horrible father… he took his phone and called his daughter Jasmine answered the call even though she was sure her father wasn’t aware she was back home.
JASMINE
good evening daddy
KING
my princess I’m so sorry, Camila had been so sick since last night that I have been so busy taking care of her.
JASMINE
I’m in my room daddy, I came back and checked you in your room but you were not there… I checked in Camila’s room, i saw you both sleeping so I just left.
King hung up immediately and went to his daughter’s room… Jasmine hu-gged him immediately she saw him
KING
my princess daddy is so sorry okay
JASMINE
it’s okay daddy, how’s camIla now? hope she’s getting better?
KING
yeah she’s getting better, you should have woken me up, have you eaten? should I order food for you?
JASMINE
relax dad, I’m not mad at you and I’m not hungry, bunny’s mum gave me some food to bring home…i already ate from the food
KING
that’s so thoughtful of her, I will call her later to thank her.
JASMINE
okay daddy…. is Camila up now? can I go and see her?
KING
of course, she will be very happy to see you.
JASMINE
alright….I will be right back.
She ran to Camila’s door and knocked, king heard the door bell rang so he went down to check.
It was the doctor, he had come back to give Camila her last drip
KING
good evening doctor
DOCTOR
good evening, I’m sorry for coming late, I was held up in traffic
KING
oh no that’s fine…. we just woke up not too long too…. please come inside
DOCTOR
thanks… how is she?
KING
she’s better than this morning, she’s still eating…
DOCTOR
(He smiled)
don’t worry, she will be completely okay very soon.
They both went upstairs to meet Camila and Jasmine just staring at each other… Jasmine didn’t know what to say but Camila tried her best to be friendly by asking her how her weekend went.
CAMILA
good evening doctor
DOCTOR
how are you? hope you are no longer feeling that headache you complained of this morning?
CAMILA
no, my head is calm down… but I’m always hungry
DOCTOR
(he smiled)
it’s good that you are hungry….
KING
she has been nagging to take her bathe since she woke up, I don’t know if she can do that before taking the last drip.
DOCTOR
she can’t take her bathe today, maybe later in the night if this drip finishes she can do that…. but if the weather isn’t friendly she should just wait till morning before bathing.
CAMILA
I feel horrible that I haven’t taken my bath today… how long will this one last?
(she said pointing to the drip)
DOCTOR
What’s the time now? this would take about five hours…..
(he said after checking the time)
CAMILA
five hours?
DOCTOR
why are you shouting?
CAMILA
who would remove the drip once it’s finished? or you are going to stay?
JASMINE
daddy would do it, right daddy?
KING
of course, I wonder why she would even ask the doctor to stay
CAMILA
you didn’t sleep all throu-ghthe night because of me, you have been running up and down since morning looking after me…i can’t let you go throu-ghall that stress tonight again.
KING
I’m not complaining
JASMINE
daddy isn’t complaining beside, you are….
(she clears her throat)
I’m not to bed…. goodnight daddy
KING
love you darling
JASMINE
love too
KING
come give daddy a goodnight ki-ss
Jasmine came closer to her dad and ki-ssed him on his both cheeks, he went to Camila and surprisingly ki-ssed her on the forehead too.
JASMINE
get well soon…. I miss your food
Camila was surprised, she turn to look at king only to see shock on his face too.
JASMINE
goodnight everyone
(she said running out)
The doctor administered the drip and left leaving just Camila and king in the room.
CAMILA
Jasmine has changed towards me
KING
my daughter is just being mischievous.
CAMILA
how do you mean?
KING
she thinks I have feelings for you, so I guess that’s why she’s treating you nice.
CAMILA
(Was shocked)
where did she get that idea from?
KING
I don’t know…. children of nowadays are just so….
CAMILA
but do you?
(she cuts in)
KING
Do I what?
CAMILA
(she smiled)
it’s nothing….. I’m hungry, I want to eat
KING
what do you want to eat? it’s not late yet so I can still make an order.
CAMILA
oh my God Jasmine, did she eat before going to bed?
KING
yeah, she said she brou-ght food from bunny’s
CAMILA
she said? did you confirm?
KING
yeah, I saw the plate she used to eat… she left them on the dinning table.
CAMILA
that’s bettet… okay I want anything that is available
KING
what food is anything?
CAMILA
I don’t want to stress you too much so give me whatever that is available.
KING
should I order for chicken or pizza?
CAMILA
pizza would be great but it would take time to get here
KING
it won’t even if it does I can get you peanut to eat until our order arrives.
CAMILA
okay…. let’s do that…. have you taken your bath today?
KING
yes, I did that when you were asleep.
CAMILA
oh poor me, everyone has taken their bathe, I’m the only dirty one.
KING
should we disobey the doctor and quickly take a shower? I’m not going go tell him, and I’m sure you won’t tell him too.
Camila was super excited, she immediately nodded her head in agreement but king pulls his tongue out
KING
I’m not going against the doctor’s instructions…. you are too stubborn…. rest in Jesus name
CAMILA
(She laughed, then frown)
why then are you pulling my legs… I really want water to touch my skin
KING
don’t worry you will bathe once your drip finishes okay?
CAMILA
okay… go and bring what we are going to eat
king got up and walked to the door, he remembered the question Camila asked him… so he turned back and said
KING
WHAT IF I SAY I AM?
He asked and went out, Camila had already forgotten the question she asked king so she became confuse with what king said…. she waited for him, hoping go ask him what he meant by what he Said

THE BENSON’S RESIDENT
Anna was cooking in the kitchen while Jordan was helping her to wash some plates…. as they worked together, they gisted about lot of stuff.
Suddenly Jordan remembered what his brother told him earlier so he decided to ask
JORDAN
don’t get offended with what I’m about to say Anna
ANNA
if you know I will get offended why then do you still want to ask?
JORDAN
it’s important that I ask, that’s why I want to ask.
ANNA
alright I won’t be offended, so tell me… what is it?
JORDAN
why don’t you divorce my brother if his not treating you right?
ANNA
would you marry a woman who was rejected by another man? no maybe I should ask you like this…. should I leave your brother and come to you?
JORDAN
(Shocked)
I’m not asking you to leave my brother for my sake, I’m just saying this for your mental health.
ANNA
my mental health isn’t at stake, I stopped bordering myself about your brother since long time ago
JORDAN
but you still get hurt by his words, you still feel very pained whenever he say something bad to you
ANNA
you are not my husband but you can still do something that would make me angry, sad…. so it’s normal that Alex can still hurt me, I’m human I can equally feel pain.
JORDAN
I can start up a new business for you, rent an apartment in your name, give you a good life…. I can take care of your family too
ANNA
all for what? for the sake of your brother or for your own sake? why are we even having this conversation Jordan?
JORDAN
I don’t mean to offend you, there are things that are just to heavy for my mouth to say…. that’s why I’m just trying to help.
ANNA
what’s that thing that is too heavy for you to say? that you love me? that you want to be dating me? or for the fact that your brother has been cheating on me? which exactly?
JORDAN
(He was Shocked)
you knew he was cheating?
ANNA
(She turn to look at him)
it was pretty obvious, what is would be the reason why he was always treating me bad if not because he has another woman in his life…
JORDAN
What kind of a human are you Anna? you knew this and you endured it all and stayed?
ANNA
I’m the kind that would do anything to put a smile on her families faces….. people thought nothing good can come out from my family, but then your brother came like an angel and married me off, proving turn all erong… now you want me to leave so my parents can be in shame?
JORDAN
so you are staying because of the money?
ANNA
if that’s how you see it, then it’s good.
She said and was about leaving the kitchen, the argument was beginning to offend her, she didn’t stay because of Alex money, she stayed so her family would not he mocked, she stayed so her father can stand up tall in the midst of his mate, she stayed so her mother can talk in the meeting without people telling her to shut up and stand down….. she is surpas-sing her pain, just because of her family that’s why she’s taking all the bullets.
Jordan quickly grabbed her hand before she could leave the kitchen.
ANNA
please I will like to be left alone, can you do that for me?
Jordan didn’t say anything, he just pulled her into a hu-g, she tried to free herself but Jordan held her ti-ghtly until she stopped fighting and just relaxed in his arms.
JORDAN
I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that…. please forgive me.
ANNA
I’m not here because of my gain, you have no idea how many times I have thought of running away, but run away and go where? how would I face my father? my mother? so I stayed back and swallow everything just for their sake.
(she said crying on his shoulder)
JORDAN
I’m sorry, I’m so sorry
(he kept apologizing)
Soon he broke free from her and stare into her teary face, his both hands were on her cheeks.
JORDAN
henceforth I wont ever do anything to hurt you, ever again.
ANNA
ain’t I use to it? I’m not new to pain….
JORDAN
shh, shh don’t talk like that please, no body is a brother to pain…
Anna was about to say something else but Jordan for a moment he lost control over her innocent eyes, and her pink s-×y li-ps… he brou-ght his li-ps closer to hers, and ki-ssed her directly on the li-p.
Anna didn’t fight it, she didn’t push him away, neither did she ki-ss him back… Jordan quickly realized himself and pulled away from her…. immediately he started to apologize again.
Anna smiled and left the kitchen without saying a word, Jordan wanted to go after her but he kicked against it, he hit himself instead for acting like a je-rk.
He rounded up the cooking and went to his room to freshen up.
Anna went to her room and locked the door from behind, she called Rose and told her to come online….. From her voice Rose could tell something was wrong, she immediately came online.
ROSE
what’s up babe? you sounded somehow on the phone.
ANNA
Jordan ki-ssed me
ROSE
He what? how come? how did it happen?
ANNA
we had an argument about his brother, he asked me to leave his brother because his not good for me.
ROSE
did he ask you to leave his brother and come to him?
ANNA
not like that, he wants me to start a new life, a life where his brother is not in it…. that it hurt him to see me like this.
ROSE
Well, his right about that, it hurt me seeing you lIke this, and I have asked you to leave that guy but you won’t listen…. maybe you feel because I’m not married that’s why I want to scatter your home… that’s by the way, so why did he ki-ss you?
ANNA
I don’t know, he was talking and the next minute I knew, his li-ps were on mine.
ROSE
just like that? what did you do after he ki-ssed you?
ANNA
nothing, I just walked away
ROSE
this is serious, I’m comfuse…. you just don’t go around ki-ssing people, especially not your brother’s wife…. why would he ki-ss you without any reason
ANNA
I don’t know… I was so scared that I just walked away immediately.
ROSE
How long was the ki-ss? what kind was it?
ANNA
I swear I didn’t ki-ss back, he stopped almost immediately.
ROSE
you should find out why he ki-ssed you, don’t let this slide…. go out there and ask him why he would ki-ss you.
ANNA
can I be honest with you Rose?
ROSE
of course, I’m your friend, and friendship nee-ds honesty.
ANNA
I wasn’t mad at him for ki-ssing me, actually it relieved me of the pain on my che-st at that time.
Rose was shocked, though she liked it that her friend was being honest with her… but she still couldn’t hide her shock hearing her friend said she didn’t get angry that her husband’s brother ki-ssed her
