EPISODE 13
AT BENSON’S RESIDENT
Anna came downstairs and met her brother in-law, she was feeling awkward because of what happened the previous night…. but the sad look on Jordan’s face made her to drew close to ask him what was wrong
ANNA
good morning Jordan
JORDAN
oh Anna, you are awake….. how are you?
ANNA
I’m fine but I can’t say the same for you…..you look very sad or should I say angry?
JORDAN
it’s nothing, I’m okay…. hope you slept well?
ANNA
stop changing the topic, what happened? if it’s because of what I said yesterday, forget it….i was….
Jordan got up from his seat and held her hands immidiately
JORDAN
No, no, no that’s not the reason….alex is gone
ANNA
gone? what do you mean by Alex is gone?
Jordan went back to his seat and carried his phone, he gave it to her to read the message herself….after reading she smiled and gave Jordan back his phone.
ANNA
should I die because I got married to your brother? hell no, I’m going to live to the best of my ability.
JORDAN
I’m so sorry Anna
ANNA
sorry for what? you didn’t do anything wrong, so you don’t nee-d to be sorry for anything…what will you have for breakfast?
JORDAN
I don’t think I feel like eating anything this morning, my mood is just messed up
ANNA
(She giggles)
I know exactly what you nee-d to boost your mood….. I will be right back.
Anna went into the kitchen and prepare her best noodles for Jordan, she served it with a hot cu-p of chocolate and beef….. she invited Jordan to the dinning….the aroma of the food made him to forget his problem that he even finished the food.
AT GILBERT’S MANSION
Just like the previous day king woke up early to make breakfast for his daughter, this time he was fast so his daughter wouldn’t have to eat in the car… Camila woke up almost at the same time too, she immediately went to Jasmine’s room to wake her up to start getting ready for school.
As she entered Jasmine’s room, she saw her rolling on the bed, she has a serious stomach pain.
CAMILA
Are you oKay? what is wrong with you?
JASMINE
my stomach hurt
CAMILA
Your stomach? have you started seeing your period?
JASMINE
period? what is that?
Camila shook her head un-derstanding that no one has even explain to this young woman what period is….
CAMILA
are you bleeding inbetween your legs?
Jasmine put her hand in between her legs to see if she was bleeding, she brou-ght out her hand and checked but there was no blood.
JASMINE
there’s no blood…. my stomach hurts badly
(she whine)
CAMILA
What did you eat Jasmine, tell me quickly
JASMINE
I don’t know, I can’t remember…. please call my daddy for me
(she said crying)
Camila held her hand softly, she looked her in the face and smiled sweetly.
CAMILA
should we do some magic?
JASMINE
magic? you have super powers?
CAMILA
maybe, I don’t know…. but if you have faith if might work.
JASMINE
(She nodded in agreement)
I have plenty of it…..do the magic please.
King got tired of waiting for Camila to come back to the kitchen, he was teaching her how to make carrot rice when she suddenly remembered she hasn’t gone to wake Jasmine….. he decided to go upstairs to check up on them…. he stopped at the door when he heard Camila talking about performing magic.
JASMINE
are you sure you can heal me?
CAMILA
I don’t know but I can try.
JASMINE
please do it.
Camila released Jasmine’s hand and place her own hand on her stomach….. a little shiny light pas-s throu-ghher hand to Jasmine’s stomach….. and Jasmine immediately felt cold in her stomach, not long the pain disappeared.
JASMINE
this is pure magic, the pain is gone.
(she screamed in joy)
but camila immediately covered her mouth with her hand
CAMILA
shhh, you wouldn’t want your daddy to know if this…..would you?
JASMINE
what’s there to hide? you are a superpower human, not all heros wears cap…. I should go tell my dad about this right now…..
she said coming down from the bed excitedly…. camila quickly read her mind to know if she was thinking something evil since she knows that Jasmine has never liked her.
She was surprised when she saw that Jasmine was really happy she has such powers and it made her felt strange…. her parents are the only people who accept her disability…. she calls her gift disability….. when other knows what she can do, or see they immediately tag her a witch…. but Jasmine was sincerely happy for her…. but still she wouldn’t want her secret to be leaked, if something happen they might think she’s the cause because they have seen the real her.
Jasmine stopped immediately she got at the door, something just flashed throu-ghher mind…. she turn to look at Camila
JASMINE
you healed dad the other day right?
CAMILA
what day?
(she asked pretending)
JASMINE
that day dad was sick and couldn’t go to work, but later got well miraculously that he didn’t remember how it happened…. that was your doings right?
Camila felt since she was going to wipe his memories, there’s no point lying.
CAMILA
yes, I was the one who healed him.
JASMINE
who the hell are you?
(she asked looking shocked)
CAMILA
I’m a human just like you, I promise I will never hurt you.
JASMINE
you are indeed a super hero…. but wait, I remember you healing me, why didn’t dad remember that?
before Camila could explain Jasmine being a smart child put one plus one together and came up with the answer
JASMINE
oh my God…… you wiped his memories?(she screamed)
Mr King couldn’t believe his ears, was Jasmine and Camila playing a trick on him or what?
He held the door handle and was about to pull it open…. then he started to perceive the smell of what he was cooking.
“oh my God, my food is burning”
he screamed and ran back downstairs, Camila heard his voice…. she knew Mr King might have heard all they were discussing…. Jasmine too jumped down from the bed and wanted to go downstairs to tell her dad what has happened but Camila called her back
CAMILA
can I ask you a question?
JASMINE
yes, anything
CAMILA
can we he friends now?
JASMINE
are you kidding me? of course we are friends now
CAMILA
Really? that would be great….. so can I get a hu-g?
JASMINE
of course
They hu-gged each other, as Camila put her hands around Jasmine’s back wiped her memories.
Immediately Jasmine pulled away from Camila wondering why Camila would hu-g her….
JASMINE
are you crazy? why are hu-gging me?
CAMILA
sorry, I just nee-ded the hu-g
JASMINE
don’t ever lay your hands on me again
CAMILA
I’m sorry.
Jasmine walked into the bathroom feeling angry…..
Camila immediately ran downstairs knowing that she has another memory to wipe….. she went to the kitchen to meet king…. king saw her and ignored her, he didn’t say anything he just dish the food and turn to leave but Camila grabbed his hand….. she tried to wipe his memory but she immediately felt dizzy and fainted on the floor.

THE GILBERT’S RESIDENT
King was shocked, he wondered what could have made Camila fainted…. he picked her up from the floor and took her to the car, he remembered he left his keys in the room so he ran back to pick the keys….. as he was about leaving the room Jasmine came downstairs and met with him.
JASMINE
good morning daddy
KING
your breakfast is in the kitchen, make sure you don’t go late for school
He said and ran out without giving her a proper explanation to why his nervous….. Jasmine waved it aside and went into the kitchen for her breakfast.
King drove into the house’s compound, as he was about to open his car door Camila opened her eyes … she still felt weak but wondered where she was and why she was in the car.
looking around she noticed she was in the hospital, she immediately sat up straight
CAMILA
where are we?
KING
you are up? we are at the hospital.
CAMILA
I don’t want to be here, take me home please
KING
you fainted Camila, you should let the doctors check you.
CAMILA
I said I’m fine….take me home
(she yelled)
king was shocked about his outburst, Camila was angry because she hated that she had to embarras-s herself by fainting.
KING
fine ……if that’s what you want
King started the car and drove away, at the road Camila was already feeling calm so she apologized for her outburst back there… but king didn’t say a word, he had different things going throu-ghhis mind…..
“is it safe to keep someone like this around my child? someone who can give you a memory and still take it away from you…. this must be a movie, yes because I only see this in the our superhero movie”
“what if she harms Jasmine? what….”
Camila could no longer contend with his thoughts again so she cut him short.
CAMILA
I will never do anything to hurt you or your daughter…… so you can please put your mind at rest ….the noise is too much.
King stopped his car almost immediately, he wanted to be sure he un-derstands what Camila was trying to tell him.
KING
what did you just say?
CAMILA
This is the reason why I keep wiping your memories, because I didn’t want either you or Jasmine to be scared of me.
KING
Who are you Camila? should I be worried that my maid has powers that we thought can only be seen in movies?
CAMILA
I’m Camila, I haven’t changed from who you use to know…. sometimes I ask myself why I’m cursed, my sister isn’t like this, neither are my parent so why me? but each years I discover I could do more stuffs and see more things….. my visions became clearer, my abilities became bigger… but I swear to you, I have never hurt anyone with my powers.
king listened to everything she had to say but still he couldn’t bring himself to believe her or accept who she is…. his only fear was his daughter, someone that can just take away your memory without your permission, making you to miss those hours of your life can and will be dangerous.
Camila saw that there was nothing she said that would make king to trust her or accept her for who she is… she used her hand to touch him, but king already knows that trick so he quickly moved his hand back before she could wipe his memories.
KING
(Very angry)
I don’t care about whatever powers you might possess, or where you got those powers feom…. but one thing I won’t take from you is taking some moments out of our lives….. who gave you the right to take away our memories? I thought you were different Camila, I thought you were an honest person…you should have come to me and tell me the truth, it would have been my choice if I wanted you to take or go… now it all makes sense to me, the other day I was very sick, I was miraculously healed without knowing my maid healed me and wiped my memory like a puppet…. are you for real? thinking of it now, you did the same thing to me yesterday…. why did I suddenly parked at the road side yet I had no memory of why I did…. what right do you have to play my child and I like your puppets?
(he was burning in anger)
CAMILA
I’m sorry sir, I didn’t know if you will accept me if you Know who I truly am.
KING
it would have been my choice to decide
(he screamed)
Camila was frighten, she started to cry, she didn’t know what to do or what to say to calm king down and the way it is, king had already figured her out… he won’t even let her touch him because he knows what she’s going to do.
King started his car and drove home, he immediately went into his room and dressed for work, he already took his bathe before entering the kitchen.
Camila sat in the living room crying, she wish her sister was here so she could speak to her…. king came out and picked his car keys from the couch where he had left it and left the house.
around 11am Rose called the line line at home, knowing fully well that Camila would be at home to pick it……it rang for a long time before Camila came to pick the call.
ROSE
Camila, how are you?
CAMILA
good morning ma, please who is this?
ROSE
it’s me Rose, your sister’s friend, the one that got you your current job
CAMILA
oh anuty Rose, good morning, so I haven’t called you to thank you for the job, it was just last night my oga got me a new phone.
ROSE
oh that’s no problem, so how have you been? hope that man and his daughter ain’t giving you a tough time?
CAMILA
no, not really, they have been so nice to me.
ROSE
well I trust king on that one, all his staffs are always singing his praises because his a very long person.
CAMILA
yes he is…. how is my sister? since I left the house I haven’t talked to her yet….
ROSE
she’s fine…. since you already have a phone I will text you her number
CAMILA
please do you think you can do it now? I really nee-d to speak to her but I can’t go to the house because of the husband…. even if I wanted to, I don’t even know how to locate there.
ROSE
don’t worry I will speak to Mr King to give you few days off work so you can go visit your sister…. but tat would take a while, you know you just started working.
CAMILA
thank you anuty, please let me get a pen and sheet so I can take her number.
before Rose could even agree Camila had ran to the kitchen to get the pen and book they use in writing down food stuffs that has finished…. she ran back to the phone.
CAMILA
I’m back, please call out the number
Rose called out the number for her, Camila thanked her….. they didn’t talk much again before Rose hung up the phone
