the unknown episode 16 & 17

?THE UNKNOWN?

?Chapter Sixteen and Seventeen <16&17>?

?The warning?

Gina lay on her bed and was staring at the ceilings. She was confuse. She had a lot of things going throu-ghher head. Okay, not ‘things.’ But she had a lot of questions.

Why do this killer intend to wipe off her and her friend’s lives? Who exactly did they offend? Who could this killer be? And what connection do they have with the first two women that had died?

As the questions kept coming, the more she gets confuse and frustrated. But she do know one thing for a fact; something has to be done immediately.

She shut her eyes close and inhale a de-ep sharp breath. What connection do they have with those two women? The question kept playing in her head.

“Jane….Bianca.” She mumbled. “Janeeeee, Biannnnnca.” She wanted to see if their names kind of sound familiar to her but they…. Her eyes suddenly snap open as she sat upright. “College!” She almost yelled.

“Wait. You think we might have offended someone in college years ago?” Olive asked, looking at Gina as if she was crazy.

“Stop giving me that look. I know what it represents.” Gina said to Olive.

“Give me one reason why I shouldn’t look at you this way? I mean, who did we offend? How do you know that? Or did you?”

“You know I hate getting involve in anything that will get me into trouble.”

“We all do. But that doesn’t mean we can’t get into trouble. It might be knowingly or unknowingly.” Olive said, adjusting her gla-sses.

“Olivia, that isn’t helping at all.” Maddie said with a frown.

Olive pulled her hands in the air in surrender. “Sorry.”

“Back to the…”

“Wait, Olive is right. Yeah, everyone do hate getting involve in anything that has to do with trouble but…what if we got into trouble with someone but didn’t put it to heart? What if we had said something really bad to someone and now the person wants to revenge.” Zoe now said.

“Thank you, Zoey. At least someone has the same thought with me.” Olive said. “Listen guys, this is common sense. This is something we need to pull our heads together and think. G might be right. This killer might have to the same college with us but what if we are also wrong. What if this killing has nothing to do with our college.”

“But Jane and Bianca went to the same school as us. They were even in our cla-ss. If you could remember, they sat in front of Olive and I.” Gina said.

“Wow, G. You really have a retentive memory. I can’t even remember the name of our college.” Alisha said. Hey, don’t take it to heart. She was only just joking. You don’t think she’s a fool, right? Actually, she really doesn’t remember.

“Fine. If the killer really did went to the same college as us…then who is he? And why does he want to kill us?” Maddie asked no one in particular.

“Aside from that idiot who had contributed to Gina’s past, who else had some kind of an issue with us or better still, one of us?” Zoe said.

They all shrugged.

“By the way, where is Doris? It’s been ages she said she was on her way here.” Maddie said.

They all look around. They had totally forgot about her. Where was she? Wasn’t she suppose to be here by now?

****

Doris stood in front of her car, glaring at it like it has stolen a huge sum of amount from her. She had tried calling her friends but there wasn’t connection in where she was.

“fu-ck it.” She gro-aned angrily. Oh, in case you guys are wondering if she knows about her being the next victim? No, she doesn’t. Gina and Zoe haven’t told her yet I mean, who would yell their friend such a terrible thing? Definitely not you.

Doris look around, she was currently standing on the highway so there was no way she could get a cab from here. And her car?

“Aargh!”

“You look like someone who is going to pull out her hair anytime soon.” She heard a manly voice said from behind her.

She turned to face who it was. “Yes. I will. I’m frustrated, okay? And I will appreciate if you disappear from my face.” She said, turning to face her car again.

“That was rude. Anyway, i won’t take that to heart. So do you need a lift?”

“No. I don’t move about with strangers.”

“Well, I can introduce myself to you if you want. You must be Doris.”

Doris snapped her eyes to the stranger who had just said her name. “How… how did you know?”

“Quick guess?” He answered with a grin.

“What?”

“Just kidding. Your necklace told me.”

Doris trailed her fingers on her necklace. Yeah, she had her name boldly imprinted on her necklace. Maddie had given that to her during her last birthday. How could she had forgotten?

“Whatever.” She says about to turn around when the stranger said something that made her look at him instead of turning.

“I’m Clayton. Just to make it fair, you need to know my name as well.”

“Is she answering?” Gina asked the girls.

“No.” They all answered in unison. They had been trying Doris number for a while now but her number wasn’t going throu-gh.

“Do you think something bad had happened to her?” Alisha asked.

“I hope not. Because this killer next target is Doris.” Zoe said.

“What? How do you know that?” Maddie asked.

“We saw the clue attached to the note given to Phoebe before she was killed. Doris is the next victim.”

“Oh my God.” Alisha gasped.

“We…we are all gonna die. Oh my God. I’m so scared. I can’t believe I’m going to die without getting married or giving birth.” Olive said as she started panicking.

“Doris is the next victim not you.” Maddie said.

“Well she is, but sooner or later, we would be.” Olive said.

Suddenly, Gina received a text from an unknown number.

“Is that from Doris?” The other girls asked.

“No. But the text says; ‘Stop digging. Or I will hurt your friend. Not like she’s going to live for that long. But do not provoke me or i will hurt her right now. sooner or later, you’re all going to die! My eyes is on you all.’”

“Wait. Does this mean that the killer is with Doris right now as we speak?” TBC.
