I opened my eyes slowly, and I stared at the ceiling for minutes, trying to get what was actually going on.
After remembering what happened yesterday at the cave, I sprang to my feet and just then, this excruciating pain came from my head making me grab my my head and wince in pain.
“You were hit yesterday. You can’t just jump out of bed that way.” I heard Niran say behind me, and when I looked back I saw him sitting on the couch in my room .
“Where is Akira?” I asked in haste staring at him fearfully.
“Father locked her in the dark room.” He said sighing and my eyes wide-ned.
“What? Why would he do that? I should be the one taking the punishment not her. I am the one that went to her!” I yelled but the pain in my head cautioned me.
“Father doesn’t want to un-derstand any of those Arjun. He said he would be executing her today.” He said and my eyes wide-ned.
“What! I nee-d to get out of here! I nee-d to do something!” I ranted running to the door.
“Actually he also ordered the guards not to let you out. And these are Father’s guards, not yours. You can’t command them, and they can’t go against Father.” He said and I walked up to him.
“Then why are you so comfortable about this? You should be out there helping Akira Niran. That girl is innocent.” I said and he nodded standing up.
“I know this well Arjun,and I have my own plans. When you were knocked out yesterday, they almost beheaded Akira. Since I couldn’t get to you earlier,I called some men to act what you saw in your dream,which means war from other countries.”
“They did it perfectly, and shot the one that was supposed to behead her. This distracted Father, and asked us to get back to the Palace as soon as possible.” He stated.
“That was very wise of you. But will that stop father from killing her today?” I asked.
“Father would ignore Akira till he figures out how to deal with this War, and my own job is to make sure he doesn’t, buying us time to think of something.” He said and that sounded nice to me.
“Thank you so much. But don’t you think Akira would be scared where she is?” I asked and he smiled.
“That is settled too. Since Father is busy with the kingdom, though I can’t go against his laid down rules,I can add mine.”
“After she got In there, Aaron volunteered to go in with her, and then I provided them with a lamp too. I ordered Nikita to serve the food morning, afternoon, night. To give them strength for whatever is next to come.” He said and I felt tears in my eyes.
“Thank you so much Niran. I can’t believe you can do all this for me, for an ordinary slave.” I said and he smiled.
“Slaves are humans too. They are not ordinary.” He said and I furrowed my brows.
“Hold on! Did you just say that? Am I missing something? Are you saying this because of Akira? Or totally something different?” I bomberded him with questions and he smiled.
“Why not face the enemy you have before you start preparing your self for unnecessary informations.” He said looking a little vexed.
“That’s true. I am yet to know how father got Akira and I.” I said and he scoffed.
“That was Kaleb at work. He planted a camera in your chamber, and then planned the fake trip with Father and Mother, so as to give all of us the chance of doing whatever we want.” He said and i felt so hurt and betrayed.
“Why would he do that to me? He led them to the cave right?” I asked and he nodded.
“Yes he did. And I think I know who he might be working for. For him to do this to exp-ose only you, I think this is coming from Maya or her sister. Katika hasn’t called me for days now and that’s so not normal. They were definitely up to something, and it’s so annoying I didn’t figure it out on time.” He explained angrily.
“I hate him for this.” I mumbled clenching my fist.
“Everyone hates him too. And leave him to me,I would kill him myself.” He said and I shook my head.
“I should be given the privilege to see his end. He deserves to die by my hands” I said and he nodded.
“Anything you do to make you feel better count me in.” He said standing up and approaching the door.
“Plus,you nee-d to talk to Hana. She is so frustrated and Is thinking of killing her own father.” He added and I sighed.
“He deserves to die but not by our heads. He would get what he deserves,that guilt will hunt her all her life and I know she doesn’t want that.” I stated and he nodded.
“I know right. I nee-d to go now, I will be back soon.” He said.
“And where are you going? Keeping me stucked in here?” I asked.
“To see Vanna.” He said walking out quickly before I could ask him more questions. Immediately he was out, a large grin came on my face.
Now I know why he is so supportive. This is hilarious.
⭕ AKIRA ⭕
“Aaron you don’t have to do this?I will be fine here on my own. You shouldn’t be dragged into this shit with me.” I said and he shook his head as we both ate the bread Nikita brou-ght for us.
“No Akira. You are my best friend, I can’t just leave you to this. I am fine here with you. And we are getting out of here to stay alive.” He said and tears heated my eyes.
I couldn’t believe my ears, I never knew there was still someone out there with that kind of love.
“I love you Aaron.” I said hu-gging him ti-ghtly and he hu-gged me back petting my head.
“You would be happy, I promise you. You would be happy with Arjun.” He said and I sighed.
“I don’t think so anymore. Things are getting more complicated every pas-sing day. We have no rest.” I lamented and he kept mute.
“I don’t know what to do with Hana.” He suddenly said and I looked at him right in the eyes.
“Why? What’s wrong?” I asked.
“I can’t be with her. No one would support us, not even my mother.” He stated and I nodded.
“I un-derstand you. I don’t know what to say because I am also confused as well. But you just have to follow your heart.” I replied and he nodded.
“Yeah. I think so.” He said and I smiled.
Suddenly, we began to hear some noises from outside the door. It sounded like gunshots.
“What’s going on?” Aaron asked standing up.
“I think the plan Niran had to distract the King. He must have hired them.” I said and all of a sudden I began to hear footsteps approach the dungeon.
“Okay. Stay cool.” Aaron said and I nodded walking closer to him.
We heard the key enter the door lock in haste, and the door was wide open. It was Arjun!
“Arjun.” I called seeing the fear on his face. He had a bandage on his head, which was stained with little blood.
“We nee-d to get out of here now! This time, the war isn’t planned,it’s real.” He said grabbing my hand.

The Palace was on fire, and all I could think of was getting Akira out of the Palace to a safe place, before any other thing.
Niran ran to Vanna to help her out, and Aaron made his way to his mother and Hana.
We had this Secret Path at the back of the Palace, which was made for times like this. I led Akira down this path and she brusted out of the palace.
I stopped at the door and looked at her.
“What are you doing? Let’s go.” She said and I shook my head.
“I can’t just go Akira. You go and stay in a safe place. I nee-d to be sure Hana and Niran are okay. Mother is still in there, I can’t just leave.” I said and we heard another gun shot making us jump in fright.
“Then I can’t stay here, I am coming with you.” Akira said and I shook my head almost immediately.
“No! You would be a distraction to me, I can’t be thinking about your safety and be thinking about Niran’s and the rest. You nee-d to hide somewhere,make sure you are safe. I would be right behind you.” I said and she looked at me fearfully.
“Arjun be careful, remember the dream we had.” She said in tears and I nodded.
“I would be just fine. But you nee-d to go now! Stay close by so I can find you later.” I said and she nodded. She approached me and ki-ssed my.li-ps pas-sionately before I disengaged.
“Now go.” I said and she began to run. I looked back and I could hear the screams of the people. I summoned courage and ran back to the building to get Hana.
I can’t just leave her with Aaron. Aaron would be striving to safe his own mother.
I got to Hana’s chamber with the fastest speed I couldn’t believe I had. I kicked her door open and I saw her on the bed shivering.
“Hana.” I called and she looked up to me crying.
“Arjun.” She called jumping out of bed and running to me.
“We nee-d to go now.” I said grabbing her wrist.
“What of Aaron? Is he okay?” She asked fearfully and I shook my head.
“I don’t know Hana, all I know is that he would be surviving right now with his Mom, so we nee-d to move.” I said and she nodded.
We rushed to the door, and just then we heard a loud thud outside the door making us stop abruptly.
The next gun shot we heard was a very close one.
“They are outside Arjun.” Hana cried in fear as we both moved back. I was sweating profusely not knowing what next to do.
Then I remembered she had a window. I ran to the window and looked down to see if was quite far form the ground.
I ran to her bed and pulled out her beddings and began to tie them together. Hana was behind me staring at the broken door in fear.
“Arjun they are coming.” She said as she could see the hallway throu-ghthe broken door.
“I just nee-d some minutes.” I said. I tied the first end of the bedding firmly to the bed stand and then threw the rest of it down the window.
I noticed it was short, so I rushed to her closet and packed out almost all her beddings and began to tie them to each other, making a longer rope.
“The Children are here!” I heard a man say and Hana ran to me.
“We can’t escape Arjun. They are here already.” She said and I shook my head as I kept tieing.
“No! You know I don’t give up!” I said and then I heard the co-rking of a gun.
“Grab it Hana.” I said throwing the bedding to her and she caught it.
“Don’t let go of the bedding.” I said to her and she nodded shutting her eyes. I pushed her down the window and she moved down pretty fast.
The beddings began to loose and when it was finished and I ran to the window and I looked down. Hana was close to the ground, so she just jumped down.
I moved away from the window immediately when my instinct told me he already pulled the trigger. I dodged the bullet and the three of them co-rked their guns again.
They guns looked scary, I had never seen something like them before.
I rolled un-der Hana’s bed as they began to shoot. The bullet Pierce the bed but didn’t get to me. They get showering the bed with bullets and then I grabbed the sword father always kept un-der our bed for security purposes.
I flung the sword to the leg that was closer to me and the leg was detached from the body instantly. He yelled and fell to the ground.
I grabbed his gun immediately, though I haven’t used one, I saw the way they did it.
I co-rked the gun un-der the bed and then pointed it out of the bed to where I could see their legs.
I was about shooting when I heard their Gr0-ns and they fell to the ground. I rolled out from un-der the bed and i saw Niran with his arrow and bow.
“We nee-d to move now.” He said grabbing one of the Guns and I took the sword with the gun I heard with me already.
“Where is Hana?” He asked as we both ran down the hallway.
“I let her down throu-ghthe window, she knows where to go.” I said as we both kept running.
“Where is Mother?” I asked.
“With her husband of course. I don’t even know where they are currently, but I know they are safe.” He said and I nodded.
“Prince Arjun.” I heard Nikita call and we both looked back.
“Nikita, where is Aaron?” I asked.
“He said I should go down this path, that he nee-ds to safe Hana. Have you seen him?” She asked and I shook my head fearfully.
“I haven’t. I thought he would be with you.” I said and Niran looked at me.
“We nee-d to go back. Nikita get the hell out of here, we would bring Aaron to you.” Niran said running back and I also followed giving Nikita a reas-suring nod.
We got back to Hana’s room and then we saw three men shooting right Inside her room.
“Aaron must be in there.” I said and Niran drew out four arrows from bag and placed it against the bow shooting it at the three men.
They all fell to the ground and I ran as fast as I could to her room.I got in and I saw Aaron breathing very ha-rd on the floor.
He had blood all over him,he had been shot.
“OMG. Aaron stay with me.” I said applying pressure on his wound. Then I noticed he was shot trice, right on his belly.
“Oh My …” I cursed Carrying him in my hands as he kept gasping for air.
“We nee-d to get him to his mother. She can help him.” I said carrying him in a bridal manner and running down the hallway with Niran behind me watching my back.
We got to the path that led to the other side of the kingdom and the door was slightly open.
“I nee-d your help here Niran.” I said pa-nting and he ran forward to open the door wider. He moved out and I also moved closer,I was almost getting out too when I heard a gun shot and something Pierced right throu-ghmy back.
I fell to the ground in pain and my eyes shut dead.
