After minutes of racking my br@in, I finally thought of how to move the weapons from the palace down to where Niran was.
I walked to the sto-re and I saw the weapons were very loaded in them.
Then I saw two of the maids pas-sing by, and I decided to stop them.
“Hey,” I said and they stopped abruptly.
“Ma’am Mei.” They said and this made me feel so full of myself. Of course, they have to respect me, I’m Katika’s girl.
“I nee-d you to pack all these weapons out of here, and down to the backyard. We would be nee-ding this sto-re for the party.” I explained and they complied immediately.
“Ma’am Mei, it won’t be so easy for just the two of us.” One of the maids stated.
“Should we call some as-sistance?” The other asked and I shook my head.
“No. If you can’t pack all, just pack the good heavy ones and then arrange the rest carefully so there can be space.” I told acting very authoritative.
They got into the sto-re and began to pack out the bows and arrows, the spears and axes, the guns and bullets.
As they did, I watched if anyone who could suspect would pas-s by and begin to ask me questions.
Luckily for me, these believed the lie I told them without a doubt.
And Maya and Katika would probably be busy at the party ground. And don’t even talk about the King and Queen, they haven’t even stepped their feet around this side of the Palace.
So I was confident no one would question me until I was done with my plans.
The sto-re wasn’t so far from the backyard so it took them just a few minutes to take it out and return it.
I knew if I left them to do it on their own, time would be fast spent and Katika would notice I wasn’t in the room.
So I decided to join them to make it a quick one. I carried just a spear and noticed it was heavy as fuc-k.
“How do they even use this for battles?” I questioned myself in amusement.
I carried them to the backyard and when I saw the weapons were enough for Niran and his people, I dismissed the maids.
“That’s enough. You can join the party now. And don’t mention this to anyone, it’s a surprise, I can’t let anyone know until I am done.” I said and they nodded smiling.
I don’t know but they seem to like me around here. What never happened during Maeko’s reign.
As soon as the maids were out of sight, I reached for my phone and searched for Niran’s digits.
I saw it and dialed it moving to the door where Arjun was shot months ago.
“Katika how are things over there?” Arjun asked from the other side and I felt so happy he was the one I would be talking to. He has more patience and un-derstanding than Niran.
“Everything is set. The weapons are at the back door.” I said.
“That’s good. But won’t we be seen?” Arjun further asked.
“No. You nee-d to make haste because everyone is busy preparing for the party. But once Katika doesn’t see me around, she would start looking for me and I can’t leave this place until you are here.” I said looking around to make sure I wasn’t been watched.
“We would be there soon,” Arjun said and I nodded.
“You won’t be able to carry these weapons to the cave, they are heavy.” I warned.
“We won’t be nee-ding it at the cave. It’s exactly where we want it to be.” Arjun said and I crea-sed my brows.
“And if this is a setup, I swear I will kill you myself,” Niran said and I hung up angrily.
“Why can’t he just trust me for a second?” I thought still looking around suspiciously.
Suddenly I heard Katika’s voice in the hallway calling out to me.
“Mei! Where are you?” I heard her call and I quickly rushed down to her before she saw the weapons at the back door.
“Hey baby,” I said at the other end of the hallway and when she looked at me she looked sad.
“Why aren’t you dressed yet? The party started minutes ago.” She said pouting her mouth.
“I am sorry love. I just wanted to take a walk around the palace before the party starts.” I said and she ki-ssed my li-ps.
“That’s un-derstandable. But right now, you nee-d to get dressed. My girlfriend can’t be seen like this.” She said and I smiled.
“Okay Baby. Let’s go.” I said pulling her hands as we both left the hallway leading to the backyard.
I prayed inwardly that no one would get there until Arjun is done with whatever he wants to do.

Maya dressed in very beautiful attire, everyone glared at her as she walked into the auditorium where the party was taking place.
People began to cheer and I had this large smile on my face, I couldn’t wait to ask Mei the million-dollar question of the day.
I glared at her from where I stood, examining her beauty all over and over again. She had a shoulder off the gown, which extended to her feet but had a slit cut up to her thi-ghs.
I intentionally picked up that cloth for her because I knew she would look hot in it.
She caught me staring at her and she flushed making me smile. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
The music was still on, and many people from the father and mother’s side had arrived.
Maya began to greet the guests while I made sure everything was going as planned.
Father was busy having a chat with his friends when I walked to the podium.
“Good day everyone,” I said pulling everyone’s attention to myself. Everywhere went silent as their gazes fell upon me.
“I am happy to see everyone here today, I am happy to know we all honored the invitation sent to us. Thank you so much.” I said and cheers came from the audience.
“As we all know, we are here to celebr@te with my beautiful sister and not only that. But to also celebr@te the success of my father, the new king of Medan!” I told and they began to clap loudly.
“Thank you! Thank you!” I said and the cheering reduced.
“I would like to call on my beautiful sister the celebr@nt of today to the podium. Princess Maya!” I called in a very loud tone and Maya began to approach the podium.
She wore a very beautiful smile on her face and the cheering was louder and longer than earlier. I also clapped as she approached me.
“Thank you.” She said waving to everyone and the noises reduced.
“Happy Birthday Sister,” I said in front of everyone hu-gging her right there.
“Thank you.” She said looking very happy.
“Before I hang over the microphone to the celebr@nt. I would love to acknowledge somebody. This person has been my happiness for weeks now. She has been my strength and friend. The only soulmate I have.” I said with my eyes fixed on Mei.
She had a very large smile on her face as I glared at her.
“I can’t do without you Mei,” I said and the maids held her hands and led her to the podium. I could see tears in her eyes as she came closer.
“You have made me live the best of my life this past week and I want that to last forever,” I said leaving the microphone and dipping my hand inside the pocket of the dress. I went on my knees and immediately screams came from the audience.
Mei’s eyes wide-ned and tears rolled down her eyes as she saw the ring in my hand.
“Mei, will you be my wife?” I asked with a very large smile. She nodded with tears dropping down her eyes, stretching her finger to me.
I placed the ring on her hand and she pulled me up ki-ssing me de-eply.
“I love you.” She said hu-gging me ti-ghtly.
“I love…” I said and stopped abruptly as I felt something very sharp hit me at my back.
I heard screams from the people and Mei’s eyes wide-ned.
I fell to the ground and my eyes went shut. I fell unconscious.

? ARJUN ?
“Niran! Why did you shoot Katika? That’s not part of the plan.” I said as we kept attacking all of them. I was with the guns and Niran with his weapon, the bow, the and arrow.
“Nothing goes according to plan anymore. She deserved what she got.” He replied still firing the arrows.
It fell and pierced many people, and some began to run.
“I would take care of Maya and her parents. You should go after the guards and Mei.” He said and I nodded.
Aaron watched my back as I approached where Mei laid holding Katika in her hands.
“Mei, you nee-d to leave now! This place isn’t safe for you.” I said and she looked at me with her eyes filled with tears.
“Why did you kill her? I did what you asked me to do.” She mumbled in tears.
“I am sorry Mei, but this isn’t the right time. We nee-d to get out of this place now.” I said grabbing her hand.
“Can we save her? Can she be saved?” She asked looking at me and I felt great pity for her.
I placed my finger on her ne-ck to check her pulse and I saw it was faint.
“Yes,” I said bending and lifting Katika. The arrow was still buried in her back.
Mei stood up and followed behind me as we headed to the back gate entering the palace.
I laid Katika down, laying her on her che-st. Her back was turned to me.
“I would be drawing the arrow out of her back,” I said and Mei’s eyes wide-ned.
“She would lose a lot of blood,” Mei said fearfully.
“I would try my best to stop the blood,” I said and she nodded.
“Aaron I would nee-d you to carry her to the cave and leave Nikita to do her job. You can come back afterward.” I said and he nodded.
“Ready?” I asked and Mei nodded. I pulled out the arrow and blood gushed out in the process.
“Apply pressure,” I said to Mei and she quickly placed her two hands on the wound.
I reached for my shirt and removed it. I folded it into a thick bandage and I asked Mei to let go.
I quickly placed the shirt on her back and tied it against her belly.
The cloth began to soak and I looked at Aaron.
“It’s time,” I said lifting her and placing her on his back.
“Go with him Mei,” I said as they both walked out of the gate. I sighed, picked up the gun, and turned back.
“Time to teach some people a lesson.” I thought co-cking my gun.
I saw Maya running towards me and I stood in front of her.
“Where do you think you are going?” I asked walking towards her and she began to move back.
“Please don’t kill me! My sister is the one that deserves to die.” She said and she began to irritate me.
“So after all she did for you today, you still want her dead!” I yelled and she flinched.
“Since she killed Kaleb, I have always wanted her dead. She has her love now and she is happy. But I am not! thank you for killing her.” She said and I scoffed.
“No wonder everyone hates you,” I said raising my gun and pointing it at her.
“No Arjun! you are not like the others. You are kind, you can’t do this.” She said moving back and I kept approaching her.
“It’s a pity you don’t know me,” I said looking at the rim of the building. They were on the 3rd floor.
“No Arjun. I know you.” She said still moving back. She almost got to the rim so I pretended to pull the trigger and she fell over the wall.
“Oops,” I said walking to the rim and I looked down to see her lying on the ground with blood flowing out of her body.
“Rest in peace b**ch,” I said walking away. Noises came from every angle of the palace. Niran must be doing a very great job.
I got to where the party was being cleared and I saw Maya’s parents on the floor with an arrow in their hearts.
“Wow. Look what we have here,” I said and Niran showed up.
“It took me nothing to finish them up! We got the throne back Arjun! we did it!” He yelled happily hu-gging me.
“Yes we did! but who would clean up this mess? They should have been the ones to pack the corpses of their dead people.” I said pointing to the parents and he smiled.
“I can’t be so stupid to let them live. But trust me, I kept some people to take care of that.” He said and I smiled.
“Perfect.” I declared and he nodded.
“I can’t wait to sit on that throne,” Niran said and I smiled.
“Congratulations brother,” I said and he smiled.
“And Mei?” He asked looking around.
“At the cave already, with Katika,” I said and he furrowed his brows.
“Why is katika at the cave?” He asked in anger.
“Cut some slack Niran, Mei played her part well, she deserves to be happy. You are king already, she can do nothing about that.” I said and he nodded reluctantly.
Niran walked to the throne and sat on it like the king he is.
“Hail the king of Medan!” I teased and we both Busted into laughter.
