*Jame’s Office*
“Sir your brother is here to see you” Jame’s secretary informed.
“Mmm, let him in”
“Okay sir”
“You can go in” The secretary informed Lair.
“Thank you”
Lair wasn’t sure he’d ever willingly visit his brother’s office, as he couldn’t remember the last time he had spoken to him. He always spoke to Jame’s wife on the phone and asks about his little nephew and niece. Those kids were so sweet and adorable, completely different from the man who had bore them.
“I never thought you’ll ever come to visit me,” James said the moment Lair stepped into his office.
“Believe me, I’ll never come on my own accord” Lair coldly replied, while James chuckled. As expected of his brother.
“Then you shouldn’t have. I can always se-nd you my findings” James said as he continued to sign on the docu-ment in front of him.
“You should ask father. I’d rather be in Syria, and sit in the middle of all the crises than step into this shackle you call an office” Lair retorted, making James chuckle the more.
James dropped the pen in his hand and looked at Lair, “You really hate me don’t you?”
“You have no idea” Lair hissed and sat down in front of him, with an expressionless face. James looked at him and slightly shook his head.
“As a medical doctor, you shouldn’t have all this venom in you. How do you treat your patients?” He asked amusedly.
“Funny how this is the longest conversation we’ve had since birth. Please don’t act friendly with me. Let’s just look throu-ghthe docu-ments and videos so I can get out of here” Lair said irritably. He didn’t hate his brother, but the guy’s nature and attitude had been so cold and annoying over the years. He had always tried to be the good child by agreeing to their mother’s dictatorship. And has never stood up to fight for himself or his younger siblings. And even when he finally had a fit with their mother, he left and never looked back. What a brother, he was.
“Don’t worry I already knew you’d be this way, so I saved us the stress.” p-ulling out a flash and some docu-ments from his drawers, he dropped them on the table.
“I’ve gone throu-ghthem–”
“And?” Lair impatiently interrupted. James looked at him and sighed.
“And I think something is off”
Lair hissed, “Don’t we all know that?”
James wanted to say something to him but he decided not to.
“What was off, was the CCTV footage”
“What do you mean?” Lair asked with a serious expression.
“I believe someone tampered with it”

Jade took permission from her boss to close two hours earlier from work as she had a few places to drop by before heading home to get herself ready for tonight. She was quite nervous as she looked at the clothes laid out on the bed. She could feel her heart racing so fast. Hours ago she was so sure of her decision but right now, she wasn’t so sure anymore.
Just as she was still pondering about going on with her plan, her phone started ringing. She heaved a sigh of relief when she noticed who was calling her, it was the right person to talk to at the moment.
“Are you ready?”
“Almost” She replied in a low voice, making Amy frown.
“What now? Why are you sounding like that?” Amy asked with concern.
“I feel nervous Amy. What if he doesn’t like it?” Jade said as she slowly began to pace.
“What? Do you know who we’re talking about here?” Amy asked with incredulity.
“That’s Jake Beau, honey. He’d love it and definitely love you more. Now tell me which normal man wouldn’t like to be given a special treat by his hot and se-xy girlfriend? Sweetheart you’re overthinking. Just do it, and go with the flow okay? Don’t sweat” Amy encouraged her.
Nodding her head, Jade said, “Okay”
“Good. So did you get everything you nee-d?” Amy asked.
“Yes”
“And the gift?”
“I got it too” She nodded her head.
“Okay okay, go have fun alright. And remember to give me the gist when we meet at your place. I mean full details and I also have something to tell you too” Amy told her.
“Okay, thanks Amy, I love you”
“I love you too silly,” Amy said before disconnecting the call.
Jade felt much relaxed after talking to Amy. She couldn’t forget Amy’s first reaction when she told her about her plan for Jake.
Soon Jade got dressed and she carried the stuff she nee-ded but not before calling her mother, to inform her about going to Jake’s place, which she readily agreed to.
There were so many emotions going throu-ghJade’s heart as she made her way to his place. Anxiety, fear, giddiness, and happiness were all going throu-ghher head.
She took a de-ep breath to calm herself when she arrived at the hotel. She walked to the front desk and informed them about who she was and they quickly se-nt someone to lead her to the penthouse.
Looking around the place, she felt nervous when she saw the little time she had to get everything in order.
“Ma, do you nee-d anything else?” The young girl who had been instructed to bring her asked.
Thinking about it for a while, Jade said, “Yes, if you don’t mind of course”
If she really wanted to get everything ready to surprise Jake before he returns she might indeed nee-d some @$$istance.
“I don’t mind” The girl replied with a smile.
“Really? Thank you” Jade chirped before she started instructing the girl on what to help her do.
Two hours later, Jade and the girl looked at the wonders they have done and they couldn’t help but smile.
“What do you think?” Jade nervously asked the girl.
“He’s going to love it,” The girl said with a bright smile.
Nodding her head and with a proud and happy smile on her face, Jade said, “I think so too”
Turning towards the girl, Jade excitedly hu-gged her, “Thanks, Anna. I really appreciate your help”
The girl was surprised when Jade hu-gged her like that. “You don’t have to thank me, it’s pa-rt of my job. And this is for the big boss” She said.
“Ma, I think you should get ready too,” The girl told her and that snapped Jade back to reality. She gasped when she saw the time. She was too excited that she had forgotten she also had to freshen up after all the work.
Hurrying towards the bedroom she called out to Anna, “Anna take the pack on the counter, it’s for you okay” She said before hurrying up to get herself ready.
A few minutes later Jade looked at her reflection in the mirror, her heart started racing fast, and her palms turned sweaty. She brushed her hand throu-ghher jet black hair which was freely flowing down her back.
She took a de-ep breath and calmed herself down.
“Jade you can do this,” She told herself before stepping out of the room.
….
*Jake’s office.*
Jake was happily heading towards his car with a happy smile on his face when he saw Blake leaning on his car waiting for him.
“Before you say anything, know that my answer is no” Jake said as he walked past him but Blake quickly blocked his path.
Blake looked at him with disbelieving eyes, “I haven’t even asked yet”
“And I don’t nee-d to hear you ask, my answer is no” Jake replied in a firm tone.
“Didn’t you want to give me the car?” Blake asked while Jake chuckled.
“And when did I tell you that?” Jake co-cked a brow at him.
“Wasn’t that why you came to my office earlier?”
“But you exchanged it for love advice which I happily gave. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a girlfriend to meet” Jake said while Blake hissed.
“You’re so stingy” Blake eyed him.
“Yeah, I know and my girlfriend isn’t complaining, so scram before I kick your @$$.” Jake warned.
“Bet it, I’m going to exp-ose some of your secrets to sister-in-law”
“Wait, isn’t that Ms. Walker I see hu-gging that guy?” Jake said with a straight face.
“What? Where?” Blake hastily turned around and looked around, with wide-ned eyes
“Fool” Jake chuckled as he took advantage of Blake’s distraction to hop into his car.
Blake frowned when he realized he had just been pla-yed been his brother.
“Damn you bro” He cussed, as he eyed Jake with wicked eyes, while Jake burst out in laughter.
“Drive home safe and ask her out before I ask Phil to” Jake teased before drove off.
“You’re wicked” Blake yelled behind him as he zoomed off.
Jake couldn’t but smile to himself as the thought of spending some time with Jade came into his head. He quickly dialed her number to confirm if she had arrived there, but she didn’t pick.
That was strange.

Jake dialed her number one last time but there was still no response. He quickly called the hotel to confirm if Jade had arrived there and they informed him, she has.
Jake heaved a sigh of relief after hearing that. He stopped at a flower shop and got her flowers. He smiled when he thought about seeing the beautiful smile on her face when she sees them. With that thought in mind, Jake floored the pedals and zoomed off to his penthouse.
He noticed the weird look and smiles on the staff’s faces when he walked into the lobby, but he didn’t think much about it as he hurriedly made his way to the elevator.
Jake frowned the moment he stepped out of the elevator into his penthouse. The whole pitch place was dark and he could ba-rely see a thing since it was quite dark.
“Jade?” He called softly and at that moment the lyrics of ‘At last’ by Etta James started pla-ying from the sound system, and the LED lights of the house turned up revealing the flower petals scattered around the floor of the house. Jake thought he was imagining things, he must have walked into the wrong room right? But right then he saw the most gracious and beautiful being he had ever seen suddenly appear in from of him, looking alluring and beautiful in a V ne-ck spaghetti str-ap black satin dress, with a high slit at the front that revealed her left thi-gh, standing before him with the brightest smile that could melt a million frost.
“Hello handsome” She greeted with a sultry smile which had Jake’s heart beating throu-ghthe roof. Jake couldn’t believe what was going on. He stood transfixed as his eyes scanned over from head to toes. She was looking breathtaking, so much that he gulped.
Seeing him in a daze, Jade smiled and walked over. She hooked her arms around his ne-ck and gave him a peck on his li-ps, p-ulling him out of his stupefaction.
“You shouldn’t look too dazed” She said with a smile.
Jake lowered his eyes and looked at her, before looking around the place and then back at her face.
“Y…you did this?” He asked in a low and surprised voice.
“Hmm” She nodded her head. “Surprised?”
Jake looked around again and replied “Very surprised” before kizzing her li-ps.
“Then wait till i show you more” She said before taking his hand and leading him out to the terrace.
Jake’s jaws dropped when he saw the sight in front of him. It was R0m-ntic candlelight dinner with alot of beautiful decorations.
Jake looked around and back at the her again.
“Baby you did this too?” He asked in awe, while Jade bobbed her head up and down, her smile not leaving her face.
“Do you like it?” She asked in a nervous tone. She has been worried Jake might not really like, so…
“Like it? Are you crazy? I love it” He said before wrapping his hand around her wa-ist as he pulled her closer, slamming her body against his. He raised her chin up with his finger and whispered, “I love you” before crashing his li-ps against hers and kizzing her p@$$ionately.
Jade mo-aned out in plea-sure as she hooked her arm against his ne-ck and enjoyed the warmth of his mouth. Jake dee-pened the kizz and gently bit her lower li-ps, before lodging his tongue into her mouth and entangling their tongues together, causing Jade to mo-an.
Jade couldn’t help but mo-anat the plea-sure she was getting from being kizzed by this skillful and p@$$ionate kizzer. She felt weak on her knees as he kept kizzing her with no abandon.
Jake finally broke the kizz and came up for air, when they both felt breathless. Their che-st heaving up and down from that very long and p@$$ionate kizz.
He used his hand and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear before trailing his hand down her cheek. And with a de-ep and se-xy voice he said, “Jade I love you”
“And I love you too” Jade replied, looking into his hazel eyes. She wrapped her hand around him, and Jake hu-gged her back with both his hand.
Hearing some ruffling noise behind her, Jade stepped away and tried to look behind her.
“What’s that?” Jade asked as she looked over her shoulders. Remembering what he had in hand, Jake brou-ght the flowers forward.
“Are those for me?” She asked with sunny smile.
“Oh yes, I almost forgot” He said before handing it to her. Jade smile broadened as she received it, a warm blus-h creeping up her face.
“Thank you” She said, before giving him a peck on his cheek.
“Come on, let’s eat before the food gets cold” Jade excitedly said, p-ulling him by the hand as she led him to the table.
Jake pulled out the chair for her to seat, before taking his seat at the opposite side. He hasn’t forgotten his gentlemanly role. Looking at the meal laid on the table, he looked at his pretty girlfriend.
“You really made all this?” Jake asked with surprise.
“What you don’t believe me?” She co-cked a brow at him.
“Of course i do. It’s… it’s just–”
“Too much?” She completed his se-ntence.
“Yeah. You didn’t have to go throu-ghthe stress” He told her. He could imagine all the effort she must have put into this. When did she even close from work that she had the time to do all this? She should have rested and just wait for him.
“Just so you know, it wasn’t stressful and I had a help. And I wanted to give a surprise date, since you weren’t able to take me out for one and secondly, you’ve worked ha-rd this past week, so I wanted to give my man a treat” She said with a shy smile, making Jake smile as well.
“I like the sound of that. You should call me that more often”
“Call you what?” Jade asked confusedly.
“Your man” He said smilingly, making Jade blus-h.
“So tell me how was it? You were successful I suppose?” She curiously inquired, while Jake bobbed his head up and down.
“Yeah I was. And I have you to thank for that” He said taking her hand on the table. “Thank you so much Jade, you’re a blessing to me. Thank you for being there and for all of this” He said before placing a warm kizz on the back of her hand.
“And thank you for making me proud” She giggled.
“I’m more proud of you” Jade blus-hed ha-rder at his words
“Stop flattering me.. Let’s eat” She told him.
