*Acrosoft un-derground Park*

“This wasn’t what you promised” Mr Andrew snapped ferociously at Hillary, but she didn’t flinch, rather she gave him a blank look as he ranted on.

“Did I promise you anything?” She asked looking at each one of them. “Answer me. Did I make any promises to the lot of you?” Her tone was calm, like she unperturbed by the sudden turn of event at the conference room minutes ago.

“Mrs Beau, what sort of attitude is this? You pushed us into this. You @$$ured us that your plan was flawless and you’d get the company. You made us risk our shares!”

“Else we wouldn’t have gone this far with you” Another angry shareholder snapped.

“Like you had a choice” She scoffed. It seems they had all forgotten the reason why they had ‘willingly’ agreed with her on this.

“To some of us, those were our largest investments, and we just lost them because of you” Someone said from the back.

“Yes” Other displeased shareholders echoed.

Hillary shot a condescending look at them. “You lot are just stupid” She cussed, making the men to frown at her. But she continued without caring for their displeased countenance.

“If Acrosoft was your only or major investment then you should have made more investment, don’t blame me. That was an oversight on your pa-rt while blame” She hissed irritatedly.

“Hillary!” Mr Andrew snapped, his appearance was grave, but she scoffed scornfully.

“Oh please wipe that look off your face. Is that supposed to scare me?” She rolled her eyes at him.

“Look boys, we all lost in there. I lost my shares too and I should be blaming you guys for not be quick-witted enough” She paused and sighed. “It was my fault for pairing with such dimwits like you oldies. Now if you have nothing better to do step out of my way before you make the papers and I make sure you stay up there for the whole month and watch you all hauled up in jail” She snarled, the look on her eyes changing and displa-ying much anger and venom.

The men quivered and took a step back so she could step into her car. They un-derstood what she was talking about. She had incriminating evidences against them, and if she did rele-ase it their lives and businesses would be over.

Mr Andrew stared at her lividly. “What about those files?” He asked. Hillary paused to look at him,

“What files?” She innocently asked. The man glared at her like she had just asked a stupid question.

Hillary scanned their face before faking a gasp, “You mean those file?” She asked feigning surprise. She sighed as she looked at them, “I think I’ll just hold onto them for safe keeping maybe insurance. You never know when I might be in nee-d of you guys, I really hope you guys don’t disappoint me by that time” She told them. Mr Andrew and the others stared at her with much lividity. Their hands balled in to fists.

Hillary chuckled when she saw their angry yet miserable faces. “I’m not being wicked, this is how the world works and who else knows this better than you money hungry and power thirsty lots. Take care of yourselves” She flashed a stiff smile at them before stepping into the car.

The men could only watch with anger as her car disappeared from the car park.

“That evil bitc-h, I’ll kill her” Mr Andrew cussed.

Someone scoffed from beside him, “Like you haven’t tried twice and failed”

“She is sure evil”

“How did she even get those information about us?” Someone asked, while the others turned to look at him. That was one question they had not cared to ask themselves all this while. The information she had were hidden informations that only them or few of their trusted surbodinates knew, so how?

They exchanged curious looks among themselves but no one seemed to have an answer to that.

Mr Andrew hissed angrily, “There’s no nee-d to ponder about this any longer. We no longer have any connections with the Beau or with this damn company. So I’ll advice you all to leave things to be and watch out for that woman” He advised before walking away and hopping into his car.

The other men looked at themselves, it was clear this was the end of the road for them, and so they equally left.

At Hillary’s Mansion, the moment she stepped into the house, she shrilled and threw all the artifacts, vase and what she could lay her hands to the ground. She destroyed everything on her path.

Shirley came running to her the moment she heard the commotion in the sitting room. She had left earlier after Hillary asked her to contact the guy who had helped her with virus.

“Hillary” She called with a small voice filled with concern from the side, but Hillary kept thrashing more things.

“That bastard, that good for nothing boy. How dare he humiliate and insult me like this?” She shrilled out angry.

“Hillary please calm down. Getting worked up isn’t good for your health” She said from the side. She couldn’t remember the last time she had seen Hillary this angry.

“I want them all dead. Each and everyone of them and I’ll take what rightfully belongs to me” She roared.

“Hillary I don’t think it’s wise to make a move on Jake at this point in tim–”

“Get lost!” She screamed before throwing a remote towards her direction, which Shirley willingly allowed to hit her head. She knew better than to escape else the next thing coming her way might be a baseball bat.

“Boss I think ma Shirley is right, Jake is currently at alert now, I think we should let him be for the now till he lowers his defenses” Black said from the side. He had been watching the scene from the side and he had no intention of speaking up, but he just had to when he un-derstood what Shirley was trying to say.

Hillary turned to look at him with murderous eyes, before taking de-ep breaths to calm herself. After calming down she tried to see reason with her subordinates with her hands clenched ti-ghtly, her hands digging into her palms.

“Fine, one week.. One week and I want to attend a m@$$ burial of all Beau’s” She ordered.

*Jake’s office*

“Boss that was a good win” Patrick praised his boss as soon as they left the conference room.

“Thank you. Henceforth, we all have to work ha-rder. When is the meeting with the bead of depa-rtments scheduled?” Jake asked.

“Sir by 1 pm” Patrick replied.

“Move it up. We’ll have that meeting in the next twenty minutes” He told him. Patrick nodded and hurried to get his work done. Jake looked at the time, it was still early. He wanted to handle everything he had on his plate before the close of work. He wanted to spend the night with his woman as well as the weekend with no interruption.

After Patrick left, Jake picked up his phone and made a call.

“Any news yet?” He asked the moment the person answered the call.

“Not yet sir” The person replied making Jake sigh defeatedly.

“Alright continue with your search, but for now I want you to hire a few securities for my house and my brothers”

“Sir what about you?”

” I can handle myself well. Just do that and carry on with the search, I want him found in the next few days” Jake ordered before hanging up the call.

There were so many things to do and he badly wanted to improve his relationship with Jade at the same time.

But first, why hasn’t Blake come in to gloat and seek a reward or something like his usual self. That was unlike him.

Jake left his office and went in search of Blake.
…..

When Jake stepped into Blake’s office, he was surprised to see him in a daze.

He stood by the door and gazed at him, but Blake was too lost in thought to notice his prese-nce.

“Back to earth, Blake Beau” Jake snapped his fin-gers at him to get his attention and that was enough to jolt him out of his reverie.

“How long have you been standing there?” Blake asked in surprise.

“Long enough to hear you calling out her name” Jake teased as he walked closer to Blake’s desk.

Blake’s eyes wide-ned with shock, “Whose name?”

“Her name” Jake wriggled his brows in a teaseful manner.

“Stop pla-ying with me man” Blake sighed.

Jake plonked himself on the seat opposite him, “What’s wrong?” Jake asked with concern.

“What do you mean what’s wrong?” Blake asked back.

Jake shrugged “You tell me. I was waiting for you to hop in and come seek a reward or some patting but you didn’t come. What happened? You grew up?” Jake co-cked a brow at him, while Blake eyed him.

“What do you mean? Do I still look like a kid?” Blake asked feigning annoyance.

Jake hissed and lolled back on the seat, “You’re still my baby bro, who’s still a vir-ginand might die a vi–”

“Shut up bro” Blake cried out in mortification, making Jake chuckle, but Blake wickedly glared at him.

“Tell me what’s wrong with you? You looked like you were about to cry when I walked in” Jake said in a more serious tone.

Blake looked at him for some time before sighing out loudly.

“If I tell you, you won’t laugh at me right?” Blake asked.

“Well, it depends. If it’s funny, I’ll laugh. But if it’s not I won’t laugh” Jake replied making Blake eye him more.

“Forget it” Was there a chance that Jake wouldn’t laugh at his predicament? The answer was NO!

Seeing his expression like he was about to cry, Jake chuckled, before stifling his gaze.

“Okay, I promise I won’t laugh. Rather I’ll give some good advice if I have any” He told him. But Blake looked at him suspiciously. He couldn’t just believe his brother just like that.

“You promise?” Blake asked skeptically.

“I promise,” He @$$ured him with a nod.

Blake sighed and hesitated for a while before he finally decided to speak up, “What will you do if a pretty girl hu-gs you and asks you if you like her?” Blake asked.

“Why would a girl hu-g me and ask me that? Jade will kill me if I try that” He quickly replied. He didn’t want to think of it. He still hasn’t forgotten how terrified he had been when Jade got mad at him because of his previous lifestyle. One repeat of that, and he would be dead meat.

Blake rolled his eyes and hissed at him. “I’m not talking about you. I mean hypothetically”

“I don’t even want to see it that way. My imagination is owned by Jade Peterson. Say something else” Jake told him, while Blake irritatedly hissed at him.

“Just forget it,” Blake said dismissively and looked away from his lovestruck brother.

Jake hissed when he saw the irritated look on his brother’s face. Of course, he knew what he was talking about, he just didn’t want Blake’s words to jinx his relationship. “So tell me, did she ask you if you like her?”

Blake looked at him and bobbed his head up and down affirmatively.

“And what did you say?” Jake asked.

“I told her, I don’t know” He shrugged, and let out a defeated sigh.

“So what did she say?” He asked again.

“She gave me two weeks to tell her how I feel or she’ll date someone else” Blake hissed frustratedly when he remembered how she had said those words.

“She said that?” Jake asked in surprise, while Blake vigorously nodded his head. Jake couldn’t help but burst out in laughter.

“You said you won’t laugh?” Blake eyed him.

“But I can’t help it,” Jake said amid laughter. He threw his head back and laughed even ha-rder.

Blake glared at him as he laughed, “Laugh all you want” He hissed and looked away from his annoying brother.

Jake glanced at him after his laughter died down. He chuckled when he saw the grumpy and gloomy look on his face.

“I’m sorry okay, I just couldn’t help it. So tell me, do you like her?” Jake asked in a serious tone, his eyes were intently focused on his brother as he tried to grasp his every expression.

Blake looked at him with confused eyes, he signed as he scratched his forehead, “I don’t know”

Raising his brows Jake asked, “You don’t know?” while Blake nodded his head responsively.

Jake sighed and shook his head pitiably. It seems his family really did lack in the love aspect. They had to go throu-gha lot of trouble when it comes to relationships.

“Well you have to find out”

“But how?” Blake asked in desperation.

“I don’t know man. You’re asking the wrong person. Go talk to grandfather, I’m sure he’ll help” Jake told him, but Blake hissed.

“So he should have his fun in teasing me. I’m not going” He wasn’t interested in talking about women’s problems with their grandfather. That old man knows how to tease him the most.

Jake shrugged, “It’s your choice. You can stay here and sulk while she finds herself a boyfriend and then you’ll be sad and alone. Then don’t come crying, because I can’t pacify you, my girlfriend is already enough for me to placate now and then” Jake told him.

Blake couldn’t help but frown at him, as he glared at him.

“Just so you know, you’re on your way to being a woman slave” Blake sighed irritably, making Jake chuckle amusedly.

“If it’s for Jade, then I don’t mind,” He said, smiling sheepishly. The thought of seeing her today and having her to himself at his penthouse was giving so much joy and was making him giddy. Ha, he couldn’t wait! He should round up his work and start heading over.

Blake was more irritated when he saw Jake smiling to himself, “Get out. Just leave my office. You’re making me depressed” He spat out in frustration. He nee-ded a solution to his problem.

Jake raised his hand to the air, “If you say so, but don’t you dare step into my office to ask for a favor or anything, and I’m keeping my gift to myself. After all Jade has been begging to take it for a spin” He hissed as he stood up to his feet.

Blake snapped his head to look at him, with glimmering eyes as he asked, “What gift? You want to give me a gift?” A smile was forming on his face. From Jake’s words, he had to be a car right? Maybe Jake was now willing to pa-rt with his baby.

“Forget it, you missed your opportunity. Thinking about it now, my baby will kill me if I give it out” Jake said as he stood to his feet.

Blake looked at him in disbelief and surprise, “You don’t want to give it to me again?” He asked, while Jake casually shrugged.

Blake incredulously looked at him, “It was me before sister-in-law” He complained.

“Thank God, you called her sister-in-law, meaning I have to please her so she can marry me”

Blake scoffed, he couldn’t believe it. He was just p-ulling his legs. He had no intention of giving him a gift.

“You’re just evil” He hissed in annoyance. Jake chuckled as he made his way to the door. He paused and turned back to look at Blake who was glaring at his back.

“You know what? You should ask yourself how you’d feel if she dates somebody else. When you have your answer, then you’ll know how you feel about her” He paused and continued.

“And Blake when you do, don’t waste a second before you tell her. Delays are always dangerous” He said before walking out of the office. Thanks to Blake he was already late for his meeting.

Blake continued to stare at the sp-ot Jake had just been standing seconds ago, as he pondered on what Jake had said. Was he willing to see Amy with someone else? Have someone else hold and hu-g her just like she has hu-gged him?

He didn’t have to think about it much, because he already had his answer in his mind.
