Jade looked back at the conference room, she opened her palm and looked at the polished nail which she had been holding. The prese-nce of this nail in her workspace was still a mystery to her. Had Simon not accused Sara of owning it, she was sure she wouldn’t have taken note of it. She had dismissed it as someone’s missing nail, till Stephanie had placed her hands on her shoulder back at Alan’s office, that was when she sp-otted the similarity.
If Alan was the one who had planted the video, that meant Stephanie had been to her desk before then. That would explain the prese-nce of the nail and her abse-nce on the footage.
The footage which Simon had collected had coverage of the previous day and not the day before. That could only mean that Stephanie had been there even before she got the opportunity for the prese-ntation.
“What was she looking for?” She asked herself. Well, she didn’t have to bother herself about that anymore. Stephanie was gone so she didn’t have to be worried anymore. Jade tossed the nail into the garbage bin at the entrance of the door and walked back to her office.
Sounds of applaud welcomed her the moment she stepped into the office. She was surprised. Her eyes wide-ned as she looked at her colleagues with smiling faces clapping and cheering for her.
“The formidable Jade” They hailed while she blus-hed. She didn’t nee-d anyone to tell her this was Simon’s doing.
“Thank you,” She said with a shy smile.
“You don’t have to be shy. You’re bad@$$” One of her colleagues teased making the others laugh.
“Hey better don’t offend her before she gets you kicked out too” Simon teased smilingly as he approached Jade.
“Sir you did this” She wasn’t asking, she was telling him while Simon shrugged.
“We’re proud of you. Not everyone is as bold as you and would be able to fight for their job just as you did” Simon told her.
“Well done” He patted her on her shoulder.
“Thank you, sir” Jade also appreciated him. He also pla-yed a role in all of this and so did all of them. They had shown much interest and care for her today, and for that she was grateful.
“Jade” Sara ran to her and pulled her into a ti-ght hu-g. “I was scared. I almost thought you were going to leave me here” Sara sobbe-d dramatically making Jade chuckle while Simon snorted at her.
“Well, you still have me” Jade comforted her.
“All right people let’s get back to work, break time is over” Simon echoed his voice around the room making everyone return to their desk, so did Jade and Sara.
The rest of the day went normal except for the fact that she was missing a certain person. As soon as she closed from work, she se-nt a text to Jake.
‘I miss you’ She added a sad and pouting emote to it.
Jade waited for a reply from him but it never came. She sighed and hissed after waiting more than half an hour, but there was still no response from him. She thought he might be busy and would reply when he sees it.
She decided to call Kelvin to pla-y games and in no time, Kelvin rushed out of his room to pla-y with her.
“It’s been long I had a worthy opponent” Kelvin chirped as he hurried over to the sofa where she was waiting.
“It’s been long I thrashed your @$$” Jade teased as she stuffs her mouth with some chips which she had seen on the table. It belonged to Kelvin.
“No talking, just pla-ying” Kelvin enthused. It had been a long he pla-yed with his sister. He couldn’t wait to show her how good he had become.
There had not been pla-ying for long when Jade heard her phone ringing. All her se-nses told her that was Jake calling, and with the speed of light, Jade dropped her console and ran to her room, a smile plastered on her face as she rushed into her room, leaving an angry Kelvin behind.
Her smile broadened when she realized it was indeed Jake. She happily hopped on her be-d and answered the call.
“How much did you miss me?” Was the first thing she heard the moment she picked the call.
“More than you miss me” She replied smiling as she lied flat on her stomach and kicked her legs in the air.
“Hmm, I miss you enough to see you what about you?” He asked her. A happy smile also tugging on his li-ps.
“I miss you enough to ki-ss you” She replied. She blus-hed after blurting that out. She covered her mouth to prevent her from giggling out. She was getting bolder by the day.
“Then you better come out and do it”
“Huh?” Jade je-rked up to a seat on the be-d while Jake laughed when he heard her surprised tone.
“What? You don’t want to ki-ss me anymore? You can’t take your words back” He told her. He chortled when he heard her running steps. He knew she was running to the door to confirm if he was indeed there, and wasn’t trying to pull her legs.
“Where are you going dressed like that?” Grace who was heading for the sitting room called out when Jade ran out of her room.
Jade peeped from the window, her eyes grew wide when she saw Jake leaning on his car with his phone pressed against his ears.
She rushed to the door and ran out to meet him. Jake grinned from ear to ear when she ran towards him like a baby.
“Hey slow down,” He said amidst laughter, but the happy girl didn’t slow down a bit till she hopped into his arms, and wrapped her hand around his ne-ck, with her face buried in the crook of his ne-ck.
“You miss me that much huh?” He teased as he wrapped his hand around her and hu-gged her back, while Jade bobbe-d her head up and down without letting go of him.
Jake used one of his hands to brush her hair backward while the other held the big baby who clung to him like a koala.
They stayed like that for a while oblivious to the pair of inquisitive eyes watching them from the window.
Grace had a smile on her face when she saw how happy her daughter was with her newfound love.
“Why is sister Jade acting like a baby? Does she want to break his back?” He complained on behalf of Jake.
“Defender of the helpless. Go do your homework” Grace snorted, p-ulling the curtain close.
“Now?” Kelvin asked in horror. “Must you always threaten me with school work?” Kelvin asked with an accusing tone.
“Threatening you is me telling you I’ll hire a private tutor for you and register you for summer cl@$$es. What do you say?” Grace taunted, her brows evilly co-cked.
“I’ll do my homework” Kelvin announced as he hurried to his room. Getting a private tutor after all the tiring school work, was death in itself. Then summer cl@$$es?? He’d rather go to the North Pole.
“Why do I have to come from this family?” He mumbled to himself as he walked away.
“I can always put you up for adoption” Grace yelled behind him
“Please do” He yelled from the hallway.
“Lazy br@t” Grace cussed as she sauntered back to the kitchen to check on her cookies which were baking in the oven”

“Babe you have to come down now,” Jake said in a calm and soft tone when Jade still held him ti-ghtly, her leg wrapped around his wa-ist. But she shook her head.
“My back is about to break”
“What? I’m not that heavy” She snuggled a little closer.
“Who said” Jake teased.
Jade slowly pulled away from him, her li-ps cutely pouted as she looked at him.
“Am I?” She asked with a small voice, her eyes silently complaining about indirectly call her fat.
“Of course not.” Jake wouldn’t dare to say that for the second time. “I was kidding, I just wanted to see your face,” He told her.
“Okay” Jade nodded as she finally hopped down with Jake’s hands guiding her.
“Now you can see my face”
“Yeah I can see, but I don’t like what my eyes are seeing. I leave you for two days and you already look like this? Are you still my girlfriend?” He raised his brow at her.
“Like how? What do you mean?” Jade asked with a frown and confused look while Jake looked her over from head to toes. Everything about this girlfriend was different from the last time he had met her, she was looking dishelleved. He knew it was because he had taken unaware of his surprise visit so she didn’t have the time to fix herself.
So much for hating being caught u fresh as per her favorite slogan.
Their initial agreement was to see each other two days later but after he received her text he knew he had to come because he was terribly missing her.
Jake faked a sigh. “My girlfriend is beautiful but I don’t know who you are,” He said as he tried to arrange her hair with his hand but Jade slapped his hand away.
“Are you saying I’m now ugly? I’m no longer beautiful?” She asked in an angry tone. She knew Jake was joking but she didn’t want to accept that. She had missed for so many days…okay fine, two longs that seemed like two years, and all he could do the moment he sees her was to tell her she no longer looks like his girlfriend?
Jake watched with amusement as she fumed.
“You know what? Go find yourself a new girlfriend!” She declared as she tried to storm away even though she didn’t want to. Well, she knew Jake wouldn’t let her go.
Jake smiled at her little tactic. He knew she didn’t want to leave and was only making some drama for him to apologize. He grabbe-d her hand and pulled her back, almost slamming her bo-dy against it.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He asked her.
“Inside of course” She curtly replied, rolling her eyes at him.
“But you can’t go. You still owe me a ki-ss. I drove all the way here because of it”
“You shouldn’t ki-ss an ugly girl” She s@$$ed.
He grabbe-d her hand and pulled her back, almost slamming her bo-dy against it.
Jake looked at the girl with a cute and angry pout on her li-ps as she glared at him, and he couldn’t help but smile at her. His hands still holding her ti-ghtly against himself.
“So you’re angry now?” He asked rhetorically.
“Of course I am” Jade hissed as she turned her face away.
“I think you’re doing this on purpose,” Jake said, making Jade look at him with narrowed eyes.
“Doing what on purpose?” She inquired.
“Seducing me and trying to be angry for not falling for it”
“Huh?” Jade’s eyes grew wide confusedly. How was she seducing him? When did she even try to se-ducehim?
“When did I se-duceyou?” She asked in horror. Jake’s eyes trailed down to her che-st area, his eyes peeking at the two endowments on her che-st that had no br@ covering them.
Jade followed his gaze, she gasped when she noticed what he was shamelessly staring at.
“You pervert!” She jabbe-d him on the side as she wriggled away from his hold and dashed into the house, while Jake bellowed out in laughter.
He knew she had been too excited to see him that she had come out without being conscious of herself. He had to admit he liked what he saw. Quick flashes of the night they spent together came flashing into his head.
“Calm down man. Soon, but not now” He told his perverted member who was getting arou-sedafter seeing her Nip-ples.
Soon Jade returned, looking ‘less se-ductive’.
Jake’s eyes couldn’t help but wander there. From how firm ‘it’ looked now, he could tell she had a br@ on.
“I don’t think I like this girlfriend, the previous one was more alluring and se-ductive. She was hot” He pla-yfully winked at her.
“You shameless man” Jade sma-ck ed his arm, her cheeks burning red with embarr@$$ment, while Jake burst out in laughter.
“Stop teasing me” She cried as she tried sma-ck ing him again but he caught her wrist and pulled her close to himself.
“Okay fine, I’ll stop teasing, but on one condition,” He told her as he tried to stifle his laughter.
Jade suspiciously looked at him and asked, “What condition?”
“ki-ss me” He whispered in a sultry voice which se-nt goosebumps over Jade’s skin. She blus-hed when Jake’s grip over her ti-ghtened and his eyes zeroed on her li-ps. She looked at. his eyes which were lustfully looking at her li-ps, before looking at his li-ps which were very alluring especially when he li-cked them seduc-tively.
Jake was getting impatient, he didn’t want to initiate the ki-ss, he wanted her to do it, after all, she was the one who had tem-pted him with it.
“Babe you said you missed me enough–” Jake’s swallowed his words back when he felt her li-ps touch his and dropped a quick ki-ss on it before p-ulling away.
Jake narrowed his eyes to look at her. “What was that?” He asked.
“A ki-ss” Jade replied, as she wondered why he ti-ghtened his brows like that.
“You call that a ki-ss?” He asked in horror. “That doesn’t qualify as a ki-ss, it was a peck. I want a real ki-ss. You made us stay away from each other for days–”
“Two days” Jade corrected when he tried to be exaggerative.
“To me, that’s long enough” He refuted.
“Babe come on, give me some reward, I’ve been a good boy and I’ve been working tirelessly. Give me a good pat, but not with your hands. Honey, please spoil me a bit” He made a cute pleading face as he begged.
Seeing him acting like that, Jade felt completely helpless. She turned around to look at the window of her house to see if anyone was spying on her, most especially Kevin….he’s the mischievous one. She heaved a sigh when she didn’t see anyone.
She took a step closer, hooked her hand against his ne-ck as she stood on her toes, and ki-ssed the man who was in desperate nee-d of some spoiling. What can she do rather than spoil him with a ki-ss or two?
Jake went frenzy the moment her li-ps tou-ched his again. He sna-kedhis hand around her and claimed her li-ps before mo-aning softly into her mouth.
Gosh, he missed this. He missed her hot, soft and lovely mouth.
“I missed you,” He said against her mouth while Jade slowly pulled away. It was a short-lived ki-ss that had Jake pinning for more.
“One more” He pleaded, his hands still hooked around her wa-ist.
“No, when you want to leave,” She told him. Jake gave her an accusing and unsatisfied look, but he sighed anyway. His lusty member was quite arou-sedand it didn’t seem to un-derstand the situation. He was at the front of her house and he couldn’t do more than necessary. Speaking about the house, he finally remembered her folks.
Don’t blame him, he was a man missing his woman.
“How’s your mom and brother?” He asked as she brushed her hair backward with his hand.
“They are fine, and how about you brother and grandfather?” She asked when she remembered the nice old man she had seen in his office.
“They’re good” He replied. “I’ll take you to see him after all this is over. He’s ecstatic to see you” He added.
Jade felt her heart skip when she heard him. ‘See his grandfather?’
Jake noticed the way her eyes grew wide when he mentioned saying his grandfather.
“Babe relax I just want to officially introduce you to him, there’s no nee-d to panic or feel scared. You’ve met and I @$$ure you that’s how he is every day. I’m sure he’ll love you, he already does” Jake @$$ured her.
“You’re sure?” Jade asked skeptically. Accidentally seeing him at his office was different from going to see him for an official introduction.
“I’m sure,” He said with a re@$$uring smile as he ki-ssed her forehead, making Jade bob her head as she said, “Okay.”
“Good” Jake fully pulled her in and Jade wrapped her arm around his wa-ist and placed her head on his che-st.
“I missed you,” She said.
“I know”
